Like, how many times are you DCing?
-
Just another reason why I SWF.
You can't pick your family or your randoms, but you can certainly pick your swfmates!
-
I'm getting him for the perks.
My new sweaty spirit build, haunted ground, ruin, undying and dragon grip. Lots of exposed statuses I hope.

The forum messiah has arrived!

Otz tested it. It respawns

ooook wouldn't this make it Op I know it was never Op it the only crutch perk killer have survivors word about but with this new hex i can see it lasting longer.
But that would require that undying makes it all game. Noed procs and gets cleansed. Then there is still a dull totem standing.
Which I hope with most survivors would be rare. Hopefully survivors are doing more than 2 bones all game.
I think having to cleanse ruin and haunted grounds twice a game is where the strength of the perk shows.
With a little noed bonus at the end in case they get undying early.
-
Haunted grounds ruin and undying should be a fun build

if your a good spirit sure, this person is obviously leveling their spirit so probably not an amazing one.
I understand that perspective.
However, when dealing with equal competition, the spirit provides a big advantage.
He was facing fair competition, as such he was in a very strong position with this killer and the mori. It wasn't like he was facing a 4 man red rank swf.
I get playing strong, but I also get not enjoying versing perhaps the strongest killer in the game with a mori.

I mean its a green mori with brown addons and not even fully leveled perks with not exactly what id call a "meta" build so not sure if Id say theyre sweaty more that theyre likely leveling her up
Are you kidding me dude. You can play spirit in red ranks without perks . Pop bbq ruin sloppy and a green mori is a 5 min 4k 5 gens left game.
-
Yeah, I agree it sucks.
But at the same time who wants to play against sweaty mori spirit?
Even I, who have mained spirit this she came out wont play her unless I'm sure it is a 4man I'm vs. She is pretty strong.

That's not really a downside, and even if we do consider it one it's entirely in your control as survivors. The killer has NO way of affecting that positively or negatively.
That was said with a bit of levity my friend.

@coppersly said:
Doesn't matter if you're a toxic group or not.
Doesn't matter if toxic groups are rare.
You shouldn't be able to gain such an insane advantage over solo survivors while also incurring NO downsides for it.
It's cool that friends get to play together. It's not cool that that same mechanism that lets them play together is also basically just cheating for serious groups.
You don't always balance something because the majority couldn't abuse it, sometimes you have to balance something because only a very small portion of the community can abuse it so well. Look at Zenyatta from OW, an overwhelming majority of the community doesn't even use him, but because a single pro player was so good with him they had to nerf the character. Same kind of logic here, most people are fine in SWF, but those that are so game-breakingly abusive with it will never get put in check if we just ignore SWF all together because "Not all SWF groups are toxic"
The down side is you can't hear skill checks, or much of anything else for that matter. I know everyone believes all SWF are constantly communicating about the game. But not us, my lady and daughter talk so much I can barely hear my skill check warning. It is like playing with 5 stacks of Huntress Lullaby every game.
-
So no looping, and no doing gennys for the first 5 minutes of the game so there is no "genrush".
Why dont we just all spawn at the hook so killers can get that 4k ez game.
-
Plague, we don't need any more Freddy's out there

Very often it's not noed, but survivors who refuse to escape until everybody's out.
Yes I agree, but Noed gives them the power.
But you are correct, it is poor decision making by survivors that turn a 1k into a 4k
-
I agree. 3 out is still a win and I hate to see Noed killers rewarded.
-
I don't even understand the post.
What are you trying to say?
PC has an advantage over consoles?
That you're dodging lobbys to find people that you know are at a disadvantage?
That your spelling and grammar could use a little work?
Don't they have spell check on those PCs?
-
Yeah, we swfed all night and escaped like 95% of the time.
I haven't met the dreaded pc nurse yet tho.
Although I am now of the opinion that the console Billy's are better. So many pc Billy's m1 and camp.
Admittedly small sample size, as it was only 1 night of games.

That's one of the few problems with DS! I can literally hook 2 other survivor's, beat my meat and pack my bags, and still get hit by DS and even if I do play fair some survivor's will go out of their way to abuse DS and annoy the killer to use DS because eating one DS can cost the killer the whole game
I wouldn't brag if your getting off in under 60 seconds!

Has it been turned off? I didn't see this annouced

Only nerf spirit will see may be another look at her addons. I don't think they will nerf her basekit.

And why should I give up a really good loop just because she stands still?
So you don't get hit.

If she stands still she can watch you for a bit and phase accordingly. I dont see how people can not see how brain dead this killer is for how rewarding she is. Freddy is the same way easy power, easy kills.
I am not saying she is not powerful, or fairly ez to learn. Just when she is standing still start making your way to the next loop. If you are injured, she will hear you either way. If not, then you can still take a hit and maybe make it to the next loop.
-
@sekkima said:
The spirit is wrong, how is it possible that a killer that can be almost as effective as the nurse can learn it so quickly?
Play the nurse one weekend and you will still be mean to her.
Play the spirit one weekend and already kill anyone with thousands of hours.
The spirit does not need to learn to do mindgames, you just stand still.
Spirit = Play this game in easy mode.
Who is still falling for this? I see this referenced a lot with her, that can not possibly still be working. If she stands still walk your way to the next loop and keep and eye on her.
-
To play killer now, you got to have to be a little masochistic.
-
These may not be abuses. However if you want me to play in a sporting way, I expect the same from you. If you are all bodyblocking and flashlighting me on my first hook. I will be playing sweaty the rest of the match, with no mercy .
-
People do it for their own reasons,
Yesterday I got facecamped, like straight facecamped, by a myers. After the game he said he did it because "He hates cops". I was Tapp. SMH.
-
Like I have said before,
Good survivors don't give a ######### about No Ones Even Dead yet , and good killers don't use it.
-
It is a strong perk that gives an unearned advantage for failing to win a chase.
Or for mistakes of teammates performing unsafe hook rescues.
Although it is up for debate, some devs have stated it is Not strictly anti tunnel
-
Fk this MMR, that is what I got to say!
-
Yeah , I can agree with this. Sometimes taking a hit when someone is being tunneled to break bloodlust alone can be a big help.
Or getting hooked if the survivor being chased is on death hook.
But this is the main reason so many people choose to SWF. Because it is rare for a rando to take a hit for you. I have watched many just sprint burst away when we are on a genny and I am injured instead of taking the hit and avoiding the injured person getting downed.
-
Do you play killer?
I always find it fun to switch roles when I get bored .

It just needs to deactivate when doing a genny. That is it.

For us on PS4 last night. We had almost exclusively red rank killers. Which I have never seen in all my time on PS4. So something must be working.

I watched the video and few other his videos. I agree, he is good. Interesting skilled Huntress main. The video should be very helpful for new Huntress and Deathslinger players. I like the part where he talk about survivor types, about how survivors dodge hatchets. It is not new for me, any Huntress player must learn behaviour patterns, but I like that he explained it in detail. In general it help to pressure survivors and be more unpredictable. Next, needle threading part and far future predictions, lol. I wont argue about skill, but I believe it is also a lottery to get a map that would allow to get those shots and a lottery to get careless survivors who wouldnt change their position after BBQ turn on. Hmm, how many tricks he actually has? Does he has significant amount of tricks to beat good survivors? Thats what I need to find out. Since he has a twich page, I will keep an eye on him. I'll leave another comment here when I find out if his tricks can significantly change a challenging match. Thank you for the link.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1509291#Comment_1509291
Well, the video title say "survivors mistakes" and it is about bad survivors... I dont find it difficult to beat survivors who make mistakes. Thats not the problem. :D
You did ask me to post a video for you and you then respond by reading the title only? I was under the impression you wanted to see some decent hatchet throws. In which case, I provided what you requested. I don't believe by survivor mistakes he is referring to them just running in a straight line, but more about how they should counter Huntress.

if your reloading the chase should be over if your looking for a good huntress main that can give you tips i'd check out @ScottJund
He does reload a lot, but he is on ps4. That is what I like. It is more realistic to the system I play on.
PC huntress is different from my understanding.

So again, farming fits those. Killer doesnt care if they 4k. Dont need to slug. Doesnt tunnel or camp.
Idk why people are so upset about free points. It's like 1/20 games it even happens, and you can always do gens and leave. Or give up on hook when they hook for points. It's not hard to get the farmers attention to hook you.
Then you just, and this one is tough for most stubborn dbd players, move the ######### on to the next game.
That is exactly what I said I do.
I don't know why people are getting that confused. I have literally said that at least twice in this thread. I just do gens and leave.
That doesn't make it a fun game. I don't care about the points, all p3 level 50 1 million points in the bank and 80,000 shards. I don't give a ######### about bloodpoints.
I want to learn to be a better survivor and practice against a killer that wants to kill me.

"Play less sweaty".
As in, chasing for fun and letting everyone get max bp? Like farming?
No, as in maybe not really caring if you 4k or not. No need to slug the for the 4k. Don't tunnel, don't camp hooks.. etc.
Good try tho.

Listen if you can't get hip with the thousands of hours you'd need to play to get perks unlocked i don't know how to help. If one match goes farm that's 5 players who saved potentially 4-5 matches or hours off there grind time EACH
Its a favor. Its a service. And it should be praised
And if you dont like it do gens and walk out
That is exactly what I do. I was just voicing why so many survivors dislike farming. Plus if you do it as a killer, then never complain about survivors killing themselves on the first hook.
Some of us have plenty of bloodpoints and play for the experience and the fun. Not for some boring ass farming game.
-
@emptyCups said:
I'll add this to the survivor rulebook for killers
Right in between page 343 and 344
C'mon, dont be that guy. We can't complain about DS and all the other BS, stating a killers job is to kill.
Then turn around and say, unless he wants to farm that is.
-
Every one gets mad about suiciding on the hook, but this is the killer equivalent.
I didn't ready up to farm. I readied up to play a game.
If you're just going to dc/suicide on first hook, why ready up?
Same with farming, why even bother playing killer?
You want a chill game , then play less sweaty or play survivor.
-
I'm sorry to hear that. I understand, when I play solo I get left for second stage so often it is frustrating.
But if you get in our 3 man we will totally save you. We always play "no rando dies tonight " and do all we can to get our randos out.
Unless you farm us on hook or something, even then we do our best
Remember there are a few good swfs out there that appreciate the work our randos do in game.
