I'd say the implication is there in the part before it states they went to Hellshire:
After a bloody battle at Glenvale, Caleb caught notice of a newspaper headline:
True, this as such gives us only an 'after' but the wording, paired with the Glenvale Gazette being mentioned in one of his addons points towards the newspaper being there in Glenvale after the massacre when the gang was licking their wounds, not days or weeks later.
Had it been days or weeks later the mention of the massacre would either not have been there, or the wording would have been very different.
So, I stay with the impression that they rode to Hellshire right in the aftermath of the massacre.
Seeing how a gang from Hellshire just tore through Glenvale that doesn't prove anything. Not to mention if we're bringing up add-ons as proof...
Modified Ammo Belt - "An old ammo belt Caleb altered for his specialized weaponry. Still holds the fine red dirt of the Arizona Territory desert."
Marshall's Badge - "A silver badge taken from the corpse of a lawman in Arizona Territory who interfered with the Hellshire Gang's bounties."
So while only 1 add-on mentions the Glenvale Gazette, 2 add-ons mention Arizona Territory.

They are just stalling and wasting my time. The game won't finish
Oh no whatever will you do. Kill the other 3, close the freaking hatch, patrol the gates. They'll either get out or die trying. They aren't taking the game hostage. You're in complete control. If you're slugging and sick of the hiding, you can end that. There's still something you can do to keep the game going.

Show me where I said Hellshire's in Glenvale, I'll wait.
The lore states that after the Glenvale massacre Caleb saw a newspaper article about Bayshore buying Hellshire. The wording indicates that he found the papers IN Glenvale directly after the battle. And that he and the remains of his gang immediately set out for Hellshire.
This means:
If Glenvale is anywhere but near Hellshire, you HAVE to take the time it needs to RIDE there into account.
Although that's true, in the lore it only states that the gang galloped into the prison. It did not say they galloped all the way from Glenvale to Hellshire. Also, you're right that's my mistake you did not say Hellshire was in Glenvale.
-
Literally today, and there were like 5 yesterday. They're still common.
-
You're complaining about someone being useless? That's a thing when playing killer?
-
I guess it depends on how far into development they are a month prior to a ptb. Besides, although BHVR does listen they often don't make any changes between ptb and live servers then patch things up in hotfixes weeks after the release so personally I don't see any benefit. I think they should revert it back to one week in between with how little they accomplish in the two weeks. Then again I'm not a programmer so idk how long the stuff they do actually takes and the complexity of it.
-
Because they make more cosmetics for more played characters. I never see people play Elodie but I see Felix at least 5 times a day.
-
How far into first stage were you? Because if you were just about to hit struggle than you might have just barely entered it and didn't notice.

Elaborate please
With tv's they're bigger so you can generally see more (especially with brightness and gamma up), however pc's run faster than a console and the controls are (somehow) easier for this game so you're able to react to everything in the game faster than you're able to on console/tv.
-
TV's are in a way better but control sensitivity goes to the pc for better game play.

I’m pretty sure it doesn’t. I’ve done short range lunges before and didn’t lose my tokens for it.
As for the perk itself, I kinda like it on killers who mainly M2. Huntress, Billy, Bubba, etc. So you have a tendency to have a few stacks saved and can dump them into a bad chase to quickly end it or clutch out a hit you really need.
that's not entirely true, whenever I do lunges with coup de grace regardless of if I exceeded normal lunge it automatically consumes a token.
-
What I'd want to see is some sort of reward system for the more characters you get to Prestige 3 Level 50. Say you get 1 character to Prestige 3 Level 50 you get 100k bloodpoints, at 5 characters you unlock three cosmetics of your choice for free, 10 characters you get 10k free auric cells, 15 characters you unlock one full chapter for free (original/of your choosing)
Obviously those wouldn't be the rewards if something like that would happen and that's just random rewards assigned to something. I think if they toned down the grind and added a reward system for the more characters you max out, people would be more willing to try new characters and go through prestige. Maybe I just like prestige a little much who knows.

Glenvale is a weird case:
There's a lot of references in Caleb's addons to Arizona etc, but here's the stinger:
Hellshire is in Nebraska (see Zarina's lore) and riding from Arizona to Nebraska would have taken a whole month. Which, no matter how raging and vengeful caleb was, it doesn't pan out. So, for the time being we can say:
Glenvale itself was in Nebraska, 'Grave of Glenvale' however is made to look like arizona, because the entity found arizona to be delightfully desolate.
Although that's true nowhere in the lore (if I recall correctly) does it say that Hellshire was even in Glenvale. All it says is that Deathslinger had a fight in Glenvale. If that wasn't enough proof that Glenvale doesn't need to be in Nebraska, it also says that Deathslinger went all around the country to bring prisoners to Hellshire. That means he didn't stay in Nebraska.

I thought Macmillan estate was in the south, Near texas
It says in the tome (although not always reliable this can be an exception seeing how it narrows down location) that the MacMillan Estate was somewhere near Seattle, Washington. (Check Trapper's lore from Tome 1 Memory 1235 {first bit of the lore} it says in the first mini paragraph)
-
Did you take a break and now your rank is down? Otherwise that sucks for them.
-
For killer, I'm pretty sure there's only one chase theme so yeah they probably won't change that who knows. However, survivors have 6 different default terror radius/3 chase themes. So that would need to be changed.
-
Slugging is more fun for killers, but if you play survivor it's awful. It's really boring to sit there and be slugged. It's really boring to have to go save 2-3 teammates that were slugged just to get slugged yourself. It's actually a very sucky way to play unless you have an actual reason to slug which generally does not happen (unless fear of the person having DS/trying to 4k and not let the last person get the hatch).
-
MacMillan Estate = Washington
Autohaven Wreckers = not entirely sure but there's a theory of it possibly being in Virginia
Haddonfield = Illinois
Lery's Memorial Institute = Illinois
Red Forest = somewhere in either the middle east or Russia but I'm not entirely sure
Springwood = Ohio
Gideon Meat Plant = New York
Yamaoka Estate = Japan
Ormond = Canada
Hawkins National Laboratory = Indiana
Grave of Glenvale = not entirely sure but I've heard it's in Arizona, Idr the reasoning
Silent Hill = It's actually in Maine
Maps I have no Clue = Coldwind Farms, Crotus Prenn Asylum, Backwater Swamp

I'm interested to hear too. As another player from 2016 I'd say the only BIG thing being neglected for veterans is people not being refunded their lost legacy skins. We have been neglected big time on this issue.
Also... I remember seeing you a lot on the steam forums back in the day. So you're definitely not lying about being a veteran!
You weren't technically neglected if they never had a list of some sort of who had legacy skins and what legacy skins they had. Maybe I don't entirely understand that situation but that's just my take on it.
-
Honestly, all the new maps will be a hit or a miss or an idc for someone. Personally, I'm a huge fan of the Red Forest maps. I'd love to see the maps updated (and for Mother's Dwelling to be downgraded because omg that map is huge).
I also think it's a good reminder that even though the graphical updates will come will some level of reworking, it's called a GRAPHICAL update because it's main purpose is to update the visuals of the map.

For certain things, no. For most things, yes.

Cause this is a horror game, darkness is part of the game mechanics, it helps to hide survivors, killers, items, etc.
making use of an in-game brightness control is totally fine, but going into the files of the game and messing with the gamma is a complete different thing.
The single fact that you are editing the game to give you an advantage in a game that in the practice is competitive, is sad and makes you a cheater.
Is darkness so big a mechanic in the game that Nintendo Switch players can't tell a pallet from a generator from a wall? I'm not even joking. (I know it's the worst of the platforms but some people don't want to waste 100s for a better platform or 1000s)

the same maps which, while for some players may objectively look nice, don't objectively improve the gameplay experience.
Exactly.
-
Idk, r u referring to them being used at the same time? If not then no.
-
I highly doubt the devs are going to listen. Regardless of what they say, they only listen to stats. At least... the stats that favor what they want to hear.
-
Once the new system comes in for rank reset I'm giving up on ranking. It took me 3 months the first time to get to Rank 1 since I had school and now I still have school because college and it's much easier to jump 4 ranks in a month verses 20 in a month. Not to mention that the reward isn't very good cuz I can get that in like 2-4 rounds (depending on what sort of point offerings are brought).
-
Blight and Twins don't have maps because they wanted to focus on the graphical update that's been basically breaking the game on certain platforms.
-
It almost feels like they're as rare as a Plague or Nurse.
-
DS is not the end of the world and as annoyed as I'd be I also wouldn't care if it didn't get changed. I just have a problem when anyone can say I didn't tunnel and I still get hit. For example from the other day:
I was playing Pig because I had her ambush ritual. I hooked the obsession and left to go find someone else. A generator got done and someone unhooked the obsession so they were going to the boxes. Great so that's one less person I have to deal with for at least 30 seconds (they weren't near a box). I start chasing someone else, down them, trap them, hook them. The obsession had their trap off at this point so I could go after them again, but not ideal since I had Dying Light. So I start looking for survivors around my 3 gen and behold, the obsession was the only one over there. So I chase them down, smack them, put another trap on them to keep them busy, and pick them up. I was hit with DS. HOW? I did not think it had been less than a minute. How did they have time to get their trap off (the first time), go back to a gen, get it at least another 25% done, get chased, AND STILL HAVE DS ACTIVE. There weren't any boxes near that gen either so it's not an arguable it took like 2 seconds to get to the gen, it couldn't have.
Anyways that's just my example of I arguably tunneled but it really wasn't.

Well to be fair, they did say something about changing it, and they often forget to put things in the patch notes.
But yeah, I'm almost certain it's a bug.
That is unfortunately true. I think part of me was just thinking that they only talked about recoding the perk for dedicated servers (which won't do anything lets face it, the servers are so bad), but not doing actual buffs or nerfs to the perk. If I'm remembering correctly.
-
Knowing the devs (and knowing they have a team for the surveys) they probably read them just for a few laughs and then go about their "we don't care what the community wants" shtick that they got.
-
@QwQw said:
Actually it got buffed. It's probably a bug, but you can turn while dead harding.
It's definitely a bug, they didn't say anything about Dead Hard in the patch notes and when they already need to rewrite it's coding why would they add another part to it? It just doesn't make sense unless it's a bug.
-
It can be helpful but I generally only use BBQ for bloodpoints (if I have it), but it's not a necessity.
-
Funny thing is I mainly go back and forth between Freddy and Pig mostly so that worked out that they're in the same group. Atm I'm not maining a specific killer so I can work on all of them but those were/are my actual mains.

Disagree. I mainly play pig. I find her to be low tier. Purely RNG based and any half coordinated team turns you into an m1 killer easily. Do I 4k and win a lot of games? Sure. Does that mean Pig is good? Hell no. Pig is in serious need of buffs/rework
Never said I don't think she needs buffs because she does. A killer can be mid tier and still be on the lower side of mid tier. She's definitely not on the higher end of mid tier. However to say that she's only m1 if survivors are even half coordinated is incorrect. If you play her super well then you should know how to mindgame loops and get hits with her dash. It doesn't always work, but it works more than you'd think.

Movie runtime till amanda dies?
It could be, but that feels short since she was in the first 3 movies all of which ran over an hour.
-
I'm still trying to find one that works at least somewhat for them. It feels like everything I try the survivors are out in 2 seconds.
-
I'll sacrifice myself if it's an extremely noob killer or just a nice killer.
-
Play on switch against a PC Bubba and get back to me.
-
Answer: If you're already winning, then it's pretty much fine since it is either viewed as "toxic" or just "putting someone out of their misery"
Answer based off of what you actually typed in the post: No.
-
Atm it is only for Steam and Stadia. We are told it's on the way for Switch but that's the third different thing they've told us about cross progression for switch so who knows when it'll release.
-
I've seen all the movies and when I saw what the timers said that 3:52:20 looked familiar but I could not place it.
-
Spirit, Legion, Plague, and Ghost Face are all the killers at this point who have their unique lobby music but don't have chase music. Part of me thinks that Netflix might have asked if they could do that for Demogorgon with the chase music and it just worked so well that they just kept doing it after, but I don't actually know. That's just my theory.
I partially think this because why would they start with a licensed chapter for something they're going to do for every chapter after. To me it doesn't make much sense unless it was requested by someone.

@ilovedbd123 said:
For legion sloppy is a must as it increases deep wound healing time, along with thanatophobia to slow gen speeds. The last perk can diffe but I tend to enjoy nurses because then you can stop their healing, BBQ is a good tracking perk as well as great for getting bloodpoints. BBQ is situational. Swap out BBQ for Franklin if they have a lot of items or a key or any other counter perks. Only swap out BBQ as the rest are the only way you can deal with his downsides. For add-ons I don't really know, but power recovery can never be bad, and if it decreases the fatigue after a missed auto or the power runs out that helps.
Edit: strategy, keep pressuring by injuring all survivors for thanatophobia and then downing them every once in a while, don't be afraid to leave chases as the time they spend healing will be massive asking as they don't have medkit, in which case bring Franklin's instead of bbq as I said up top. Only focus downing if it's safe to do so, especially early. Map pressure sucks, and so you want to hit as many people early as is possible.
Sloppy only effects basic attacks which Legion's deep wound attack is not.

Doesn't it feel like we got three original's back to back,DS,The Blight and Twins. Paulie Esther seems to think we're getting another original , continuing with the Pirah story ,but here's a left fielder.Who ever owns the license of The Predator is giving permission for a skin in fortnight there's already a Predator game but its dead, and it's a skin, I could see Illfonic wanting. The Fugitive Predator skin is available in Fortnite ,so I mean that wouldn't be helpful to the pred game that exist, because you're splitting the community in away but it's just a skin and not an actual predator it may be for promotion, but the new owners may be looking to do a crossover with DBD to promote all of the Predator films apparently coming.
I mean... Deathslinger was Spring 2020, then Pyramid Head was Summer 2020, Blight was Fall 2020, Twins was Winter 2020, so no we did not get 3 originals in a row (not to mention those were 2 separate years in the dbd timeline cuz years for the game start in the summer.) Besides there's no real way to tell until the devs either say something or a teaser drops.
-
@TheStabbiNAngeL said:
It could be Alien or Resident Evil, for 5th anniversary, but who is the killer coming in March? Is it license?.
There's a very good chance of the March chapter being licensed since the devs mentioned in their October license Q&A they like to do about 2 licenses and 2 originals every year. We have our 2 originals. It doesn't mean it can't be original because if they were to waver we'd probably get an original. Most likely it is licensed whatever the chapter is.
-
I really do love this game. I can be very harsh when it comes to critiquing what has been done and what's gone unchanged because it comes from a place of love for the game. I want it to grow and get so much better, I don't want to see it die out.

Yes but covid switched things up, so they might need more support, that's why maybe they were forced to release the twins with tons of bugs(?)
I think at the moment it's not so much a money problem but the struggles of working from home 100%. So I don't think giving them more money even now is going to change things up.
-
We shouldn't have to pay them for them to do a job they should already be doing as developers.
