No, too strong of a change.

If you were to allow a killer to let's say, rekindle a Devour? Does it keep the tokens that Devour has? How long would it take for the rekindling process?

I can see the stacking changes, one where the Devour totem stays hidden until a stack is on the perk itself to survivors, sure.

But rekindling a Hex totem that is arguably much stronger than the average Boon is not necessary.

I don't even think I agree with Hex placements as Hex placements allow the survivor to memorize totem spawns, making it more RNG based would make Hexes even more stronger on maps like Midwich and Badham for example.

Sure, it sucks to have a Hex cleansed because it's in a little nook of a hill or in a jungle gym - but it's a high risk, high reward playstyle. You have totem builds that allow you to get more value from them such as Pentimento, Thrill of the Hunt, and Undying as examples for totem defenses.

I think the perk would restart with 0 tokens. It's a buff, but also a nerf, since the killer would start with 0 hexes and would need to "waste" time to kindle them.

Not to mention that most hexes have a pretty mediocre effect

  • ah yes, letcs combine the two most toxic gaming comunities :D

  • I'd make it sort like Wesker, making her dash end after the vault

  • tbh, I've always tjought thatkillers should be able to kindle the totems, and rekindle them if cleansed

They work like normal survivors (with impossible blinds and movement capabilities lol), so in general they should be able to unhook themself in theorie. I think they are simply programmed not to unhook themself, because the bot escaping is not really the point of them, and bhvr probably didn't think about situations like this xD

Never going to haopen. The Devs just care about Killer experience to the point of trapping Survivors in matches so Killers can have a decent match.

this is demostrably wrong and the contrary

  • i kid you not, the only report that has ever passted through was onr where a survivor (who i let live) was telling me to unalive myself and using the N word....

  • As someone who plays nurse for fun, i think increasing her cooldown would actually be okay. For nurse i'd like that her Spasmodic Breath addon could synergize with her other speed addons tho...

As for Blight... idk, i suck at him.

  • the worst part is that in game reporting does nothing, and reporting on the website with video evidence also does nothing...

Mandy once said they don't wanna do this because it messes with players when killers have too many different Terrior radius ranges - their new goal seems like have 40m for high mobility killers, 32m as standard, and 28m for stealthy killers.

One solution could be that survivors suffer from the oblivous status effect when they hold a tape and no longer hear her lullaby after a while when keep holding tape. This would be also a decent buff to tapes which are really free to hold.

Lets not forget how 'stealth' killers aren't actually stealth killers no matter what terror radius.

Wraith: crackle crackle Bing Bong… or crackle crackle whoooosh with IRI addon
    Myers:Hooooh, Hoooh
Ghostface: Flap, flap, flap… burrrrzss (wait, I'm looking at the killer??)
Deathslinger:… wait scratch that, he was nerfed
Onryo: The LOUDEST 'stealth' killer ever
SkullMerc: So bad to play even DBD doesn't seem to give this killer as a daily
    Chucky: Ha ha ha ha…

All of these I can happily sit on a gen not looking with the exception of tier 1 myers, I just listen for the 'stealth' killers

BRUH I HADNT REALIZED UNTIL NOW BIG BUTT MERCHANT DOESNT HAVE DAILIES 💀💀💀💀 OMG

No, this will not prevent people from being matched with you.

    @Topic:

IMO there should be less information, not more information. So the Killer should not see the names and profiles of the Survivors, but the Survivors should also not see the name, picked Killer or profile of the Killer. I can get behind the idea, I also have some players I really dont want to play against, since the game will always be miserable (but to be honest, the worst ones dodge me, since I have a lot of hours, so obviously a sweaty Killer will be less likely to play against me).

But dodging can cause problems with the Matchmaking and personally I am against cherrypicking your games.

the survivor names are probably to know if you're against a SWF... If you see "pucca's mommy" and "pucca's daddy", you know you're agaisnt a swf at the very least....

of coursez that could be easily fixed if bhvr put any effort on it...

  • I thought it'd be the situation where the killer slugs you and camps your slug and if someone heals you they down you again until you bleed out... that's way worse than being normal tunneled and camped lol

  • yeah, when I'm about half of the survey I start regretting it... xD

  • if bhvr put a little effort, anti camping, anti tunneling, and anti slugging would have been resolved ages ago

  • Slugging is really annoying, yeah, I proposed a few changes here:

I get what the devs are trying to do, but it makes absolutely no sense the new effect (When a Survivor drops a pallet, if they move 6m away from it within 6s they gain 5% Hindered for 3/4/5s) is for knock out. What does pallets have anything to do with being knocked out? It's an absolute flavor fail. Even the flavor text and the new effect have no correlation:

The trauma caused by your brutal attacks makes crying for help painfully difficult.

Here are the first possible changes that came to mind that keep Knock Out's flavor without being too busted and still functional for a killer to run it:

    1. Easiest solution: Remove "blocks their Aura from being revealed to any Survivor, who is farther than 32/24/16 metres away from them."
    2. Putting a Survivor into the Dying State reduces their visibility drastically (basically like dredge's nightfall) and suffer from the Blindness and Oblivious status effect until they get fully healed.
    3. Putting a Survivor into the Dying State causes the survivor to suffer from a -10/-15/-20 % Hindered status effect and the Deafened and Exhausted status effect until they get fully healed.
    4. Putting a Survivor into the Dying State reduces their Crawling and Recovery speeds by -50/-75/-100 % for the next 15 seconds. Your Terror Radius transfers to that survivor until they recover from the dying state, and its radius is set to 32 metres.
    5. Putting a Survivor into the Dying State applies the following effect to that survivor: After being healed from or having recovered from the Dying State, you suffer from the Hindered status effect for 20/25/30 seconds.
    6. Putting a Survivor into the Dying State disables 1/2/3 of their perks at random until fully healed.
    7. Survivors in the dying state take 100/150/200 % more time to recover from the dying state.
    8. If you get stunned while carrying a survivor, that survivor is put into the dying state 5/4/3 seconds after that. Permanently increases the duration of Killer Blinds by any means and the duration of Pallet Stuns by +100 %.

These don't prevent the other survivors from finding the downed survivor, and give a bit of strategy to actually knocking down survivors.

Note that the effects are not just with basic attacks, so It's more flavorful.

I'd even press to have these perks and also have unbreakable/no mither recovery as base kit and Deerstalker as base kit.

Here would be the updated perks now that they would be base kit:

    Deerstalker base kit:

The Auras of all Survivors in the Dying State within 12 metres of your location are revealed to you.

    Deerstalker Perk:

The Auras of all Survivors in the Dying State are revealed to you an additional 20/28/36 metres.

    Unbreakable/No mither Base Kit

Allows you to fully recover from the Dying State.

Perks affected by the survivor base kit change:

    No Mither:
The following effects apply permanently during the Trial:
Suffer from the Broken Status Effect.
Suppresses the creation of Pools of Blood.
Reduces the volume of Grunts of Pain while either in the Injured or the Dying State by 25/50/75 %.
Blocks your Aura from being revealed to the killer until you fully recover from the dying state.
Increases your Recovery speed by 30/40/50 %.

    Unbreakable:
Once per game, you may press the Active Ability button to recover instantly from the Dying state and gain a +100 % Haste Status Effect for 3/4/5 seconds.

    Plot Twist:
While crouching and motionless, press the Active Ability button to silently enter the Dying State with the following benefits:
Blocks your Aura from being revealed to the killer until you fully recover from the dying state.
    Suppresses Grunts of Pain.
    Suppresses Pools of Blood.
Your Recovery speed is increased by 25/30/35 %.
After full recovery using Plot Twist, you are healed instantly and gain a +50 % Haste Status Effect for 2/3/4 seconds.
Plot Twist deactivates after recovering yourself by any means and reactivates once more once the Exit Gates are powered.

    Soul Guard:
After being healed from or having recovered from the Dying State, you benefit from the following effect:
Grants the Endurance Status Effect for 4/6/8 seconds.
Endurance is cancelled prematurely when performing a Conspicuous Action.
While suffering from the Cursed Status Effect, your Recovery speed is increased by 30/40/50 %.
Soul Guard has a cool-down of 30 seconds.

    Boon: Exponential
Press and hold the Active Ability button on a Dull or Hex Totem to bless it and create a Boon Totem.
Soft chimes ring out in a radius of 24 metres.
All Survivors benefit from the following effects when inside the Boon Totem's radius:
100/110/120 % bonus to the Recovery speed.
Recovering yourself from the dying state grants you a 15/20/25 % speed bonus in Altruistic Healing for 5/10/15 seconds.
Healing a survivor in the dying state to injured grants them a +50 % Haste Status Effect for 2/3/4 seconds.
Survivors can only be affected by one instance of Boon: Exponential at a time.

Feel free to also make these ideas into new perks as well… We're lacking interesting perks, and getting new General perks would be incredibly useful for the game.

(Edited because for som reason hitting the Left arrow key twice posts the post automatically???)

But yes, the main issue is killers trying desperately to get an easy 4K, that's wjat BHVR isnt addressing

  • that's 100% false. i as a main killer have the same chances to getting the offering used as the others

  • Aura reading maybe not, but the survivors need an objective... Maybe they get "points" based on how many other survivors they snitch out hahahaha

  • my entire main survivor build is for that :P

this was supposed to a reply to @Tits for the open the closed hatch lol

  • with pain and suffering. At least those were real challenges. Now they are like "Touch a gen. Complete this in a single trial" 🤦🏼‍♀️

  • nah, it' be fun to penalize the killer going to help the other, same with the survivors. Like, imagine survivors snitching others xD it' be fun ahhaha

  • it could be interesting. Imagine that if you hit the survivor you'e not supposed to hit, instead of injuring them, you give them a speed boost lol

  • Killer main here. These would be insane af...

I agree with you @turksmall236. I think DBD should have a casual mode that you can only play on the weekends. I never understood the purpose of events. I'd rather just have a permanent secondary mode queue that cycles similar to how Left 4 Dead 2 ran Mutations when they first came out. I still play Dead by Daylight, but I do it less frequently between events and I'd rather the game incentivize me to play more often rather than waiting for the next big event to come out. Game health is still a bigger priority to me, but I hope this is on their roadmap for the next 48 months.

ij that case just make chaos shuffle permanent, an actual good event mode

  • I read some of the things, and what the actual duck

  • First, I don't want banners or badges. They are a waste of space.

Also, I'd advice against charms. They are not worth the hours and hours and hours you have to spend on the bloodweb...

    What I'd do: (Early: p25, Mid: p50, Late: p75, End: p100)

    Killer:

Early: Even if i do t like charms, the idea of a Charavter Charm would be nice. So we'd have that, a Character Charm.

    Mid: Custom Hooks.

    Late: Custom Mori.

End: Custom Legendary Cosmetic with Unique animations and sounds.

    Survivor:

    Early: Character Charm.

Mid: Custom cosmetics for the items (the appearance of each item.would be different. for example, the toolbox looks unique, and the flashlight as well, and so on)

Late: Custom Animation (like the pointing or calling animation)

End: Custom Legendary Cosmetic with Unique animations and sounds.

  • yeah, for solo healing is just a bad perk

when the game detects your m1 will land it locks your camera ontot the survivor so the hit will look like its supposed to connect as well. This camera lock and occasionally make you miss hits around certain tiles, or even just out in the open.

    that sounds absolutely terrible, #########

  • itcs a game for adults showing gore and brutal deaths and it censors f uck...

and if it only censored "bad words"... but it censors character names, random words, "you", "gg", "kill" (in a game about killing.... smh), and so on... it's ridiculous

  • survivor overall should be in 1st POV

  • i've always said that all survivors should have all their items together... Sometimes I want to play with X character and has only like 5 items left, and then thetecs cheryl with 200 of each...

  • @jesterkind said:

To answer the question about the anti-genrush, did you see the part of the roadmap where they talk about addressing survivor spawns so that they can't all spawn spread out anymore?

Even if we define genrushing as just survivors doing their objective efficiently (instead of the more reasonable and actually useful definition of bringing stacked toolboxes with supporting perks), that's gonna be a huge knock to the team's ability to get the ball rolling. With that change implemented, the average killer early game will go substantially more in their favour.

that only means the first gen now will pop in 20 seconds...

  • that' be nice. Let's remove perk tiers first

  • the problem is that the entire system is broken and flawed, and they dont have the guts to do an overhaul. And as long as the core game remains broken, nothing they'll do will fix it

  • proud to be part of the 17%

I hate that mode, it's either play survivor, or wait 20 mins in queue for a 4-5 mins match and repeat...

Good thing is that 2v8 = a break from dbd, so I can try new games. In last iteration i tried phasmophobia and I have played it more than dbd since... Maybe I can find a new game that replaces dbd

Because it is not win, just end match faster. You get barely no bp and far less score for pips

ah, well, idk that... can a team abuse it then? 4 plot twist + no mither + instant surrender to explot it somehow?

  • tbh, i do see it as an incentive to slug. Why getting 12 hooks when I can just slug and get a fast easy win?

  • let her pick up the disabled traps to reuse them, please

  • it DOESN'T???? really? i get fully tunneled or get a killer that fully tunnels a teammate 9/10 games... and the 1 game that doesnt is because the killer decided to slug us all...

  • on the other hand, the addons need a buff, the haste is so bad that the addons are never used anymore...

  • 7 hatchets is more than enough.

    Sincerely,

    A Huntress main

  • my take on bleeding out:

After you have recovered all you can, you get the option to get up. You're still bleeding, but with this, you can move at 1/2 speed while bleeding 100% faster. This allows you to move to another place. While doing this, the only interaction you can do is heal another slugged survivor who has already recovered the most they can. (You can still see other survivor auras)

    Also, base kit deerstalker.

  • NOOOOOOOOOO

    that mode sucks

i can't wait for it to be gone so i can play normally again withiut waiting 20 mins in queue

  • really? sounds like skill issue to me. If your survivor team is slightly organized the killer stands no chance

  • it has always sucked since the first iteration...

  • they need to slow down and focus on fixing the spagetti code

1 … 3 4 5 6 7 … 21
