I know every second matters in this game but 0.1 seconds..? besides i’m sure the devs didn’t intentionally “nerf” pig by adding 0.1 seconds to ambush.

But if this change has happened, it should be looked into or BHVR should explain why they’ve nerfed the Pig.

0.1 seconds can be the deciding factor whether a Survivor gets downed before vaulting a point or dropping a pallet, it will effect those who spend time learning every aspect of a character until it’s muscle memory.

  • Interesting idea but may I suggest one alterations;

Wraith = Holds Survivor in the air by their chest. Repeatedly wracks Survivor on the head with bell whilst making Ding Dong noises until dead

  • I personally prefer only humanoid Killers. There are so many creative options that can pursued through folklore and tradition without having to make unrealistic creatures.

Plus, there are lots of Killers from Movies and IRL that could potentially be added to the game for that exist fan-service.

  • DBD 2 takes a 360 and becomes a Turn-Based RPG.

Survivors select roles (Medic, Mechanic, etc) and items before grouping up to take on Killers.

Killers select character (Hunter, Wraith, etc) and use their boss-like, immense stats and abilities to take down the Survivors.

Survivors have few actions and must decide carefully on where to dedicate them, working with others will get a task done faster but an single Survivors actions can be used to do side objectives and help others.

The Killer has many actions, decide whether to capitalise on an individual or create havoc amongst the group and slow their progress down.

The stakes on the game get higher as the match goes on, will a hooked Survivor be saved whilst NOED is active or will the remaining Survivors leave to secure their fate?

**DS will still the most complained about Perk in this game as well.

  • I’d say counter-play is having a sensible way to play around or prevent something .e.g. to counter-play Nemesis, you drop the pallet early.

Some Perks and Killers lack this sensible counter-play by not providing enough windows to play around or requiring you to bend over backwards .e.g. to counter NOED, cleanse all 5 totems; if you’re a Solo Player, you have to search the entire map to ensure all 5 totems are cleansed. Doesn’t matter if they are already cleansed, you need to check for yourself or risk getting insta-downed later.

  • You’re right, they will just close patrol you instead though x

  • Spine Chill.

    • Works on all Killers
    • Early warning system
    • Counters Stealth
    • Helps figure out which Perks/Add-ons are in play (Nurse’s Calling, Scratched Mirror, etc)
    • Strong on indoor maps
    • Can pull off gen-finishing shenanigans whilst the Killer approaches you
  • I just want to vent on here because of today’s experiences...

I would love to have a ######### match with a team and Killer that are similar Rank to me. This is the line-up I just had from my most recent game:

    • Rank 2 (SWF 1)
    • Rank 2 (SWF 1)
    • Rank 12 (SWF 2)
    • Rank 19 (SWF 2)
    • Rank 6 Killer

How on earth is that supposed to be alright?! I’m starting to lose my patience, continuously getting killed by my team-mates and not being out-skilled by a Killer. I would love to escape or die knowing the team were within 5 Ranks of each other and not hang on the hook waiting for the scared Rank 19 to do something because they’re new to the game.

Sorry to hear that. I hope you reported them, our ACM team will take a look and make sure they're dealt with.

Please do not spread misinformation. There's no need for that. We take things like this seriously and we have a team of people dedicated solely to going through reports like these.

It’s good to know the ACM team are looking into cases like these. But wouldn’t it be easier to add a filter/flag system to the chats so that when certain words are said, they are either censored or the player is flagged?

It already has been toned down:, takes longer to accumulate and current t3 is old t2.

1.5 years ago, yes. But with the recent changes it may need looking to be tweaked.

  • With fixing the infinites, Bloodlust should be toned down.

  • Legion’s Deep Wound should apply additional Deep Wound.

  • How often do you experience Deliverance XD

It would be true if i played all the time, everyday, which i dont have time to do. And even if i do find enough time to play more, sometimes it doesnt happen for a week or so, because its random. Honestly people who suicide on hooks instead hurt teams more than me, since they can just jump in another game and do the same while i have penalty to endure. And its not like i dc only on the begging of the match, which first hooks can do, sometimes i dc before i escape, basically only hurting me and my points that i worked hard for.

The problem is, DCing shouldn’t be happening at all. You should try and fix the issue your end rather than deflecting the problem by pointing out other issues as an excuse.

  • I have a record of someone saying Camaraderie is OP.

There will always be a player saying something is OP when it isn’t.

But self care makes you unreliable as a teammate, and it's very easy to find teammates

    What?

How does having this Perk make you unreliable as a team-mate?

As I stated before, its not often, by teleport i also mean just teleport for me, where i stand and then im randomly on the hook, which happens a lot more times than just changing position on the ground.

You got the numbers wrong since I CLEARLY said its rare, i dont get reported often like that, i just do sometimes when the lag is really bad and then they want to report me. Some understand and others not and send a report.

I asked for yes or no pretty much, so possible yes is enough, no need to dwell more on it.

I based the numbers from what you told me, “Dont think i dc like all the time, its not more than 1-3 in a day”.

Multiply that by 4 (the amount of players in-game), and by 7 (days in a week), and hey presto, 28 - 84 is the rough amount of DC you have in a week. I’m not exaggerating the issue, you’re downplaying it.

I’m trying to show you that there is a problem with you doing this, and not just ‘You will eventually be banned’.

  • Self-Care is reliable and wastes less time than looking for someone to heal you.

It has its upsides and downsides, like all Perks, but it fine overall.

Thats a pretty harsh look on it and I dont feel like its nessessarly on point.

I lag often, but not always. Basically when its a good day for my wifi and its stable enough i can make killers dc, or survivors when im the killer, i think im good enough to not call it selfish to play, lag shortens my chases yeah, but im usually still ending up with more points than randoms healing in corners. Lag usually just works against me, like when i lag for a few seconds and cant loop for too long because of it, cases where i tp are rare, but still happen, thats why it got me worried.

Dont think i dc like all the time, its not more than 1-3 in a day, sometimes 0, but still. Im not exactly a useless teammate hurting their team, just a bit crippled with my ping that happens to have heart attacks...

Did you literally just “Teleporting” due to poor connection is fine if you’re a good player?!?

You need to get it out of your head that it’s just fine because it’s honestly not. You are essentially cheating by “Teleporting”.

Unless something urgent happens, you should not be Disconnecting. You are intentionally ruining the matches of 28 - 84 players a week by playing the game with poor internet conditions and acknowledging the issue.

The lag isn’t a big issue, but the Disconnecting and “Teleporting” need fixing before you consider playing another game.

Am i punishing people? I'm selfish? It sounds very funny. On your part, it sounds a lot more insulting and selfish towards me as a person. All people need to be respected equally, and it is very strange to divide people into those who have a normal Internet and who do not have very much. And recalling a person from playing a game because of the Internet is the same.

I believe everyone should be entitled to a Lamborghini and people not be divided by their incomes/s.

Everyone playing this game paid for it, but similar to a club, if you’re going to cause problems you will have to leave. BHVR and the DBD community don’t want players waltzing in and using “Equality” or “I paid for this” as excuses for poor behaviour, cheating or repeatedly disconnecting for various reasons.

  • You can potentially get banned, yes.

If you continuously play the game but acknowledge that you have a poor connection that may give you an advantage (“teleporting”) or keeps disconnecting you, you need to look to get a better connection or stop playing until then.

You are ruining the matches of many players for your selfish needs and you need to acknowledge that you need to fix the issue, not hope that BHVR will ignore you so you can continue to play on a poor connection.

  • Unfortunately for you, they respect the majority of the player-base and penalise those who spontaneously leave due to poor internet conditions.

Either look to get a better internet connection or stop playing internet dependant multiplayer games. You are selfishly punishing many players for trying to play stuff beyond your router or computers capacity.

  • It’s a Perk that just needs reworking in general.

    From a Survivor’s perspective, it can feel cheap, unfair and overkill;

    • Cheap - Requiring little effort on the Killer’s part to use
    • Unfair - Punishes Survivors who performed well and cleansed 3/4 totems
    • Overkill - Excessively punishes the remaining 1/2 Survivors during Late Game

    From a Killer’s perspective, it can feel useless, dirty and short-lived;

    • Useless - Provides nothing until Late Game
    • Dirty - You punish Survivors who you may acknowledge played better than you
    • Short-lived - It gets activated but you are too late to use it or it gets cleansed

Statistically, it may be balanced, but from both sides it is mentally horrible to play with and against.

  • The only issue I have with her is that she retains the bonus movement speed after phasing. It feels like a hand-holding mechanism, fine with those trying to learn the Killer but very abusive at higher ranks.

It’s also stolen from the Wraith’s kit making him even more pointless to play, why play him when the Spirit does what he does but better.

  • Are RNG mechanics slowly being removed from the game or being tweaked to restrict their potential outcome?

  • Would drop Legion and Doctor down one. Healing/Screaming simulator isn’t fun, especially if the rest of your team don’t know how to play against them.

I dont think so. Ebony doesnt do that much more than ivory. If the ivory mori is used early, the game turned into a 3v1 and is almost over anyway.

Killing the other survivors doesnt change that much about it, honestly.

Thus said, i dont think moris need to be changed, and if they were, then in a way they are still usefull and worth taking.

The biggest difference is Ivory can only be used once, whereas Ebony can be used on everyone. 1 player being removed early is bad but still viable and depending on the situation does not usually end with the Killer dominating the match. Plus, the Killer doesn’t normally use the Mori until later in the match.

Ebony Mori can be used on the whole team and is straight up difficult to play around.

  • Ebony Mori is the only issue, it needs a bigger requirement or a limitation. Being able to cut the Killer’s objective by a third is absurd and heavily encourages tunnelling.

  • *When not in a chase, DS active time decrease at double the rate.

So just make it useless so nobody will play it no thanks

I’m open to suggestions. How would you change the add-on so it’s not overbearing?

  • @Peanits said:

That has always been the ideal change in my eyes. That way if you want to get the instant down, you need to do it from far away and aim well, not just follow someone around and toss it as soon as they vault a window or drop a pallet.

Though as someone who has played a lot of Huntress, I would probably hazard to say 32m instead of 24m. 24m is only a tile and a half, and that's not too uncommon for the Huntress.

    I don’t think it’s a good idea.

You’re adding guesswork to the add-on which will make it annoying to use and play against. “Am I far enough to activate my one-hit down?”, “Am I close enough to not get hit with the one-hit down?”.

The requirement becomes too map reliant. Good luck using the add-on in Hawkin’s National Labratory or Gideon Meat Plant.

And the add-on already has a hefty requirement of reducing hatchet carrying capacity by 4. This would make the add-on almost useless.

Here’s 2 suggestions to fix Iridescent Hatchet:

    • The Glass Cannon - Huntress’ carrying capacity is fixed at 1, no matter what other add-ons are taken. Players will have to perfectly use their hatchets or risk turning into an M1 with no power.
    • Last in the Barrel - The last hatchet inflicts dying upon the victim. Players will have to weigh up whether to pursue with 1 hatchet that can potentially insta-down, or they can reload for safety.
  • I find the issue with the Exit Gates aren’t the time to open them, but more their position;

    • Too close and the Survivors are at a disadvantage
    • Too far and the Killer is at a disadvantage

The Exit Gates should have a fixed distance from one another so it’s easier to balance around, and both the Survivors and Killers don’t feel at a disadvantage for the standard situation.

  • Killer Perk - Excite

Upon starting a chase, break into a sprint at 130% normal running speed for 1/2/3 seconds.

Excite can only be triggered once every 60 seconds.

  • It’s impossible to blind Hag and Spirit when they are stunned due to their animations, that should get looked into as well.

  • Feel like I get 1 boosted player every game. Hopefully BHVR alter matchmaking to be stricter and award points for the correct actions rather than the abuse-able mess is currently is.

  • @Thatbrownmonster said:

    Monstrous shrine when?

Don’t touch my core perk for Basement Cannibal.

  • It’s not a exploit, but I believe it should be punished or something altered with the hooking process to prevent it.

  • I'd say the Leatherface DLC is the worse, you only get that DLC for BBQ & Chilli but even then why waste your money when you can get it from the Shrine of Secrets.

  • Balanced Landing is good but too map-dependant. I would go with a more consistent Perk such as Sprint Burst or Lithe.

If the 1/2 teammates you play with are reliable, I recommend swapping out Self-Care for something else and rely on your friends for heals and Killer info.

  • At times, I feel like BHVR ignore what the community say because of the exaggeration of a problem.

"1 or 2 gens getting done in 20-30 seconds", that ain't happening unless all the Survivors spawned together with toolboxes and by a 4-sided gen.

    Rank 1 survivor

Killer: rank 13 for now. I've gotten as low as 5 in the past.

I took a loooong break and am just coming back.

Sounds like I basically described the current state of the Spirit. I just didn't know cuz I dont play as/vs her much.

That's weird, I normally experience her 1 in 5 matches.

I recommend having a go with her. She's like a more lethal version of the Wraith, and it's really fun to surprise Survivors.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1166995#Comment_1166995

Oh so you can't hear her phasing when near her husk? I haven't faced a spirit in so long I have no idea. I guess I just need to play her. Thank you!

May I ask what Rank you are?

  • Did we really need them? She gives enough warning with her phasing sounds.

  • She's pretty fine as is and has enough at her disposal to create mind-games. The lack of phasing sounds near her husk give her a solid opportunity to mess with Survivors at loops, and Survivors get enough warning to know when she's near or not.

  • There is the possibility of matches not being in the Killer's favour due to RNG. How often does this situation occur?

  • I'm guessing you're also someone who wants DS to be nerfed, no?

  • @ZoneDymo said:

I get your frustration regarding it but think about this, what IF your suggestion goes through?

Ok yes its more annoying for the "wanting to leave" survivor becuase they cant just dip out and look for a new match BUT what will happen then is the same on the kiler side, you get hooked? ok fine bye, imma get some tea and alt tab out doing something else until the game is over, just AFK there after you are unhooked by a teammate.

AFKing is a reportable offence, plus a potential system can be implemented to flag players who do so.

The harder it is for players to quit without using the "Leave Button", the better.

    In my first posting

"I am well aware that this is a very subjective and a bit complicated topic since on some killers a certain perk might be really good while it is on other killers bad or almost useless"

No no, I mean I cant find the following in OP: "These lists a especially useful for people who start playing killer or want to play flex and dont know what kind of perks to go first."

1 … 4 5 6 7 8 … 16
