I read them. I thought it was sarcasm.
If it helps my point, I'm partially blind in my right eye. I think I've mentioned it somewhere on this forum.

I think it's fine, especially that it can be countered by just listening.

Why do they need a nerf? I am 100% killer main and only use them when someone brings in a key. They are already punishable if used to soon such as de-rank.
I play at rank 1 on both a sides, and I just think they turn the tide of the game to much. Keys do to.

Ebonys are by far the worst issue the game actually has. And your logic doesnt exist.
Keys are also up there with them imo.

I mean I The lobby without your friend in the match. What I say is the same spectating mode even if you are not in the same match
As long as your locked onto your friend(s) I don't see any harm.

You really believe the game is survivor sided? It's a great map for killers.
I made a few comments on why I do, if possible do read them.

Not to be rude, but that just sounds like weaker nurse?
A weaker Nurse, but much easier to learn.
I also wanted it to relate to lore, and that was as good as I could get without making it super simular to Demo.

All I want is for him to take skill. I'm fine with the fact that he can cross the map in 2 seconds, but his snares need to be replaced or made that they take a minute to activate.

Wait.. so using clutch perks and items, in an attempt to do our part - survive - is now inherently toxic?
OP clearly doesn't know what toxicity is.

They don't need to be removed, but they need a nerf. And before you assume I'm a survivor, I'm a 50/50 and do fine without them when playing killer.

I'm guessing The Entity is right at his doorstep, as it can be whatever it wants to be, and I think it's just trying to lure him outside before it can catch him.
-
Personally I think it should be something like this
Use 25% or less of an item: Keep both add ons.
Use 75% or less of an item: Keep the cheaper add on.
Anything above and you don't keep it.
Also what killer do you play without add ons?

No. Its perfectly fair to have a chance to spawn these keys out of chests. They made drastic changes to the hatch in end game and told survivors we just had to start using more keys. Not only are keys rare in the bloodweb, we have a lot more to spend BP on to keep our inventory afloat. So it is entirely reasonable to have a 3%ish chance to spawn a key from a chest for a survivor.
Would it be fair then if the killer got an ebony/ivory mori or ultra rare add on mid way through the match when they were doing bad then?

I dont think so. The game is pretty much slightly killer sided . I think most are just playing wrong and lack common sense or are they not(which is most likely) . Most just pretend it to be opposite way.
To me, unless you're playing Freddy (which if you do you deserve to burn in the boiler room with him) the game is survivor sided. Not by alot, but with my experiences at rank 1 on both sides. You can even gen rush in Solo Queue, which says alot.
-
Got a picture of this rank 1 account, because as someone who is rank 1 on both sides this is either complete bs or you're the best killer to grace the earth.
-
Maybe Cypress moris, but ivory and ebony are a no go. Nor would I like this because ds.
-
Reminds me of this lol
-
I did make a full chapter on it awhile back, but long story short, I think his power will be that he can go through pallets and walls for 2-3 seconds but has a short cooldown on when he can attack.

What helps me a ton is coming from a different direction than they anticipate. I usually can't guess if they have spine chill but sometimes its funny to not look at them until really close. Had a person tell me they got scared out of their mind when I did that one game.
I'll try doing that in future, thanks for the tip.

As the title says: y u mad bro?
I've been playing this game a lot. 1300 hours and still going up (God help me). I've seen quite a lot of frustrating things that really get to me. Getting Face camped for no reason, hit through windows, bad team mates, the works. My question is what makes everyone mad in this game and what do you do about it? Whether you're killer or survivor. Do you lash out in end game? Take a break for a while to cool off? Laugh it off and move on? I just had a game as Deathslinger and was getting dumpstered. I'll admit I got my tunnel on a little bit. More so when you get unhooked in front of me, I loose you and you're still running into me. Got blasted for it in the end game chat relentlessly. Instead of getting mad I just laughed, in-game reported and screenshotted the chat for a ticket. He was rather vulgar, even to my mother :(.
Bottom line I guess is I'm trying to figure out what would cause someone to blast another for playing their role in the game, however it was done. Feel free to share some of the reasons you lashed out or were lashed out at. I'm curious to read why :P
Depends on the rest of my day.
Usually if I ######### up I laugh about it, unless I've had a bad day.
I also commonly scream "oh #########!" As soon as a Myers, Ghostface or Spirit pops up (which my room mates hate) but yet again if I've had a shot day I just get frustrated.
Basically ######### day means I act #########.

The Saw map never received any update, if it has then I haven't noticed since October. By my estimation the only pallets that are truly safe are the two outside basement and one that may spawn under the stairs which is a one way. As for too many pallets, I always have fun mindgaming those. However, the claim that "The Game" map is survivor sided like the Original Poster claims is just pure bait or driven by a bad experience on there.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1206630#Comment_1206630
The fact that you didn't decide to respond to my post about why I don't think the Saw map "The Game" is survivor sided says a lot about how a majority of the people on these forums will just attempt to bait and troll. Or shitpost which is what this is.
If you want to make it about experience then fine. Perhaps you could actually post something worthwhile about why in your experience you think my points are wrong. But if not then its typical of you I guess.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1206634#Comment_1206634
It's very easy to locate people, and if a gen has progress but no scratch marks and you are 99% sure someone is nearby chances are they are behind the wall. I find it easier than some other maps when I can tell survivors were just working on the gen.
As for pallets, the only three that I always want out of the way are the two outside basement (unless the bathroom gen is done) and one under the stairs that have a platform and go up to another safe pallet which I normally force them to waste.
This surely won't help but what survivor ranks do you face most commonly?
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1206635#Comment_1206635
I'm not saying Haddonfield isn't survivor sided, but "the game" (SAW MAP) is anything but.
Usually play against/with rank 1- 4 survivors, occasionally the purple, but people use spine chill so much now, so as soon as it lights up they're gone.

If you could kindly explain why "The Game" is survivor sided that would be fantastic. bud :)
Ok, let's just say I have very, very ######### games on this map as a killer.
Usually people camp in corners, wait for me to leave and then do gens (a tactic I've also seen my team doing and have joined in on).
Yes its not great for looping, but if you know where to hide then it's possible.
There are also many pallets that you cant mind game. Two on the bottom floor and 2-3 on the top, with an extra few pallets that may spawn that are hard to mind game.
Maybe I've drank one to many tonight, but this is what I think of the map.

Well Legion needs alot more love than these 2 addons, however I agree that these addons are totally outdated and not working with the current Killer. But I mean... the devs dont care a bit about Legion, you have to accept it like every other ex legion main^^
And sadly current Legion Main.
-
I too play at rank 1 on both sides, and although I agree that Enduring with Spirit Fury is OP and needs some change (only when paired together individually they are great and balanced perks), I feel like Spirit doesn't need any changes to her phrasing noises.
You simply need to have a different playstyle against a Spirit. Don't see her? Walk. She's standing still by a pallet? Walk.
Unless you are injured and not running iron will, walking is they key.
-
-
You'll have games like that.
Just a tip, it's faster to not Frenzy then to Frenzy if you can't get a hit off.
-
1: I'm fine with this, its important to know if it's safe or not to be on a generator.
2: I wouldn't like this. The only reason I'm against it is because the main reason for the perk is to be used by solos. It becomes a pointless perk in swf but is usually a must in solos.
As a compromise to 2, I think it should be when you're within 4 meters of another survivor, their perks are revealed to you.

Explain to me how my team, 3 had Borrowed Time could have countered an Insidious FaceCamping Bubba.
Please, explain this to me. Keep in mind, Bubba can still activate Insidious while holding M2.
Yes it can!
They do gens and the killer gets a 1k.
This is a team based game, so think of it as you're taking one for the team.

Locker grabs, yes! Other grabs, no. Atleast with other grabs you can hit them instead as an alternative.

Yeah, but he was SHOOTING ME. You cant really look away when you are shooting someone.
Maybe the perk or killer is bugged then? Usually I don't have problems, although I rarely face Deathslingers.
-
@Predated said:

I dont really mind, as there are some killers that dont have real gap closing abilities, which makes the visibility of the lights very important to those killers. Bubba needs to walk from point A to point B and without relatively easy vision on red forest, the time would take from seeing the lights show up to reaching that door is already enough time to open the doors. Especially with resillience and/or spinechill.
There is a lot in this game that needs to be based on spawning distance and mapsize rather than static distances. Nurses calling having a larger range on a massive map would make sense and not be too strong. Haste effects lasting 5 seconds longer on massive maps also wouldnt exactly be too strong(or for killers, bloodlust charging up faster and having map points that give haste effects, like hooks giving a 5% speedboost for 30 seconds).
As for adjacent walls, there is a bit of a problem with that, a few examples:
- azarov's resting place cant have it adjacent, those gates always spawn on opposite sides. Which they kinda have to as if they spawn on the same side, they would be way too close. In a 1v1, the survivor would always escape currently unless they are dumb.
- Groaning Storehouse pretty much has the same issue there. They spawn too far that in the current meta, you either need whispers or a dumb survivor to win as a killer as a 1v1(or prevent it by a boring slug in a 2v1).
- Torment Creek and Rancid have a chance of the gates spawning either too far or too close. Both either garantueeing a killer win or survivor escape.
I think just altering the amount of lamps would be enough. Especially as both killers and survivors have to look at 1 gate only and know what the endgame situation is gonna be and possibly prepare for that.
Sadly many killers do have that problem, and apparently is why some rank 1 killers run NoeD, for its speed boost at the end (which is probably complete bs but I'll take their word). Resilience and Spinechill are good for opening doors, but not absolutely amazing, with Resillience shaving off 1.8 seconds and spine chill shaving off 1.2 seconds if the killer was directly looking at you.
I'd like having aura reading perks in general have a bigger radius, except perks like Object of Obseession that already have big ones. Bloodlust charging faster I'd say wouldn't be needed anymore as big maps are being decreased in size aswell as infinites are being nerfed, although that haste effect seems good.
Finally I guess there would need to be some exceptions, especially that other maps like Hawkins and The Game have preset maps.

Cus I've faced deathslingers who could harpoon me without triggering spinechill. Spinechill has a range of 36 meters, there are no addons that increase the harpoon range. That's why I roughly went for 40 meters.
I mean, either that or spinechill is glitched vs deathslinger.
What I do, aswell as many killers, if we assume someone has spinechill, which most players do (including myself) is look around constantly rather than just look straight at where you want to go.

I don't agree he is weaker than Huntress. Maybe for an unskilled killer. But Deathslingers who are great at a quick scope are nasty. I can dodge a hatchet. Its impossible to dodge a quick scope with current hit boxes.
That's a fair point

@Predated said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1204658#Comment_1204658
If you shoot over a pallet, you can easily walk to the otherside and get the hit. So thats not really an argument there. My point was, that the killer range is 40 meters, which is outside his terror radius, already gives him the element of surprise. But that heavily implies there should be a bit of risk in shooting at max range. Which would be survivors straving.
And besides, it wouldnt make him too weak, it would just make people less eager to quickscope when there are objects close to the side. I'm not asking for a massive strave to the left or right, but 5 meters left or right straving would be good enough. That doesnt make his power too weak, because right now he is basically a huntress with a gap closer(which isnt a weaker huntress, gap-closers in this game are a very big deal which is why Legion cant down people while in feral frenzy)
Although its 18 meters (not exactly sure where you got 40 meters from lol) I guess a small strave could be fine, as long as it isn't anything major.
-
Unless I'm trying to draw the killer away from a hooked survivor, or take a protection hit, I see no reason to tea bag.
-
@Predated said:
T'is a simple but very effective suggestion:
- gates that spawn very close to each other should only have 2 lights instead of 3, meaning you can prep the gate 1/3rd before a single light glows up, giving the survivor a slight bigger change of being to escape when the gates spawn too close to each other.
- gates that spawn very far away from each other, should have 4 lights instead of 3, meaning survivors can only prep 1/5th of the gate before a light glows up, giving the killer a slightly bigger chance of preventing an escape.
This way, gates that spawn on opposite sites on a large map dont ######### over a killer who has been steamrolling, but gates that practically spawn next to each other dont ######### over a survivor who has been dealing with terrible teammates.
For me it should be gates can't spawn within 32 meters of each other or the same walls BUT should spawn on adjacent walls.
They also shouldn't be visible from one point.

It would be pretty unfair we have to find the hatch and then you wish killers being 20 secs walk between each other? One more chance to escape?
Even when this does happen, I accept I've lost unless the killer wants to give me the gate or hatch.
The best thing you can do is open the gate just before it gets the first light, hide, wait for the killer to come, and once they leave open the rest of it.
-
I would agree with this however there is one problem.
People if they wanted to could just turn off their wifi and turn it back on to skip the dc penalty.
I'd reccomend finding another game for the time being or something to do during those 15 minutes.
-
The main reason is because the power would be too weak then.
The point of the breakable chain is that if you go for a shot that's unrealistic over a pallet or some other object (other than a window) you get punished with the chain break.
He's already a weaker Huntress, I don't think he needs it worst.

I'm sorry, but I really disagree with "DS is too powerful". I play both roles.
As survivor, I find myself rarely using DS because it's window is quite short to the point where, unless the killer is a heavy tunneler, I don't get to use it at all. Well, I do sometimes use it in EGC because, at that point, any killer would "tunnel". However, 8/10 matches I don't get to use it so I simply stopped running it.
As killer, I often see people run DS but I almost never get stunned by it and not because they miss it, but because I always go for the unhooker. Even in endgame. Sometimes, I look at the perks and think back on the match and how DS was useless for the survivor(s), but Adrenaline would have helped them or Borrowed or, simply, another perk.
Sure, different people, different playstyles. My point is that, as an obsession perk, it's not a great perk. Obsessions perks, in my opinion, are high risk / high reward. To me, DS is a different kind of high risk to what most would think, I guess: it's a Russian roulette of "will I get to use it in this match OR will I have wasted a perk slot?". More often that not I feel like I wasted a perk slot.
I second this, with the slight disagreement of it shouldnt work with lockers.
-
As someone who's r1 on both sides:
1. Camping is a legitimate tactic which doesn't occur much at high ranks. Yes the people who do it are douches, but it almost guarantees your teams escape.
2. My problem here is you've literally just named an option on how to learn to counter it, but instead you've decided it needs a nerf. It does need a small nerf, but try and learn totem spots.
