This was never meant to fix anything, you can't fix racism. It was merely intended to hide the racism behind the actions of these persons.
If a person does not realize he is being insulted, then he won't feel offended and his general perception of the situation will improve.
-
Honestly it looks more like a meme build. Maybe they are trying to see how many status effects they stack? XD

I like going against freddy. I just remain asleep to hear his lullaby xD
Eerie.

I know for a fact it's not a visual bug every time. I have indeed seen at least one event of a survivor who died en second hook without progressing to second state, that I'm sure of it.
-
Wraith (there is no escape): bamboozle, spirit fury, pop goes the weasel and BBQ/pain resonance + shadow dance and serpent addons
Pinhead (torturer) plaything, pentimento, pain resonance, bloodwarden.
Executioner (hex defense) plaything, pentimento, thrill of the hunt, ruin/devour hope + double trail duration addons.

Pig nerf.
-
I don't like huntress, because I'm just a basic m1 killer with her xD

But insert killer stressul excuse. 90% of these tunneling camping problems could be avoided if they encouraged killers to spread out there hooks with actual gameplay advantages. But nah lets just keep adding band aid perk fixes instead of actually baseline fixing the game.
Yeah, I have noticed that many hardcore, vocal survivor mains actually can't stand playing killer.
They complain about certain behaviors that killers do, (though I don't indulge in camping), but they can't actually perform with killer without using those same tactics, they just won't admit it.
Nevertheless, I main killer and I always try to have and give a fun match to everyone, I can have fun this way and I don't find it stressful. I actually find survivor to be far less fun than playing dungeon master. I mean killer.
-
I dunno, I never see camping killers. Oh wait, that's right, it's because I'm the killer.
Bottom line: don't like camping? Play killer and don't camp.

I've been wishing for the longest time that licensed characters could get recolors.
There would be a lot I'd do to get Bill to have Navy Blue Camo (I know he wasn't in the Navy, but blue is a color I like), Ash to have blue pants, don't know where I got the idea from but Cheryl with a blue vest and black skirt, etc,
Nice. Waiting for that dessert cammo and artic cammo claudette (with full sleeves and face cover of course.

It's not exactly a hard question. Drop survivor A, down survivor B, rinse and repeat until everyone stops moving.
Once you have exerted your dominance, you could let one get up so everyone can actually have a match. Or just end it on the spot.
What you don't do: get angry about it and rage around throwing the game. Unless that's your thing.
-
I like it with pyramid head. He can torment the totems, thus either the survivors won't cleanse out of fear or they will become tormented and reveal their location the very second they attempt it. Add thrill of the hunt and some other nasty hex like ruin or devour hope, and the game becomes a very interesting totem defense game. Best of all, playthinged survivors won't be able to tell you're close when they attempt a cleanse, because they are oblivious and the sound of them being tormented will hide your sword's noise, so you can actually approach out of LOS and hit them with punishment of the damned.
Stack both "trail duration" addons for extra value and fun. Seriously, it's just so fun.
It's also very entertaining with wraith, because it let's you combine the coxcombed and bone clappers with another powerful addon instead of the mandatory "stealth for 6 seconds after uncloack", letting use crazy combinations like all-seeing or uncloack speed.
-
Bamboozle + spirit fury + serpent addon + shadow dance addon.
It just shutdowns loops and tiles so hard that almost everything becomes not safe in a chase with him. Even shack becomes a joke, just block the window, shred the pallet and watch them try to abandon the tile xD
You can kick stuff around for extremely fast uncloack and hit survivors immediately rather than wait for the uncloack animation.
Pop goes the weasel also pair really well with this, because wraith is actually one of the very few killers who can afford to travel to any generator, interrupt the survivors and pop the Gen, and since you will be kicking the Gen to uncloack rather than binging your bong, why not add some nice regression to it?
You can end with info perks such as BBQ or floods of rage. Pain resonance is nice too as it give you an idea where to go and more regression. Or something nasty like dragon's grip.

I'm not sure I understood entirely....

Hi there. I've been playing this game for I think 5 months now, I've mainly played survivor but as of 1 month I really started enjoying killer aswell, I play let's say 50-50.
I used to think that the killers camping and tunneling were the bad guys, but playing as killer aswell I started to realise that survivors are the bad guys. Crouching, clicking the flash light, taunting, the list goes on. Can you blame a killer who's been bullied all day by who knows how many survivors for camping? Then again there are exceptions in both camps, this thread isn't for clearing the killers, some of them just do this by their own will, but I think most of the time it's the survivors.
I think people forget that behind every survivor and killer there is a person, and that person has it's own stress / rage / emotional tolerance and we're just too oblivious to that. I really can't understand what's appealing in taunting someone and inducing them rage.
Can't we just try our best and not spite other people?
What are your opinions on this? Can it be solved?
Sincerely,
A survivor.
It can't be fixed. Because exactly what you said. Everyone has its demons. And a lot of people find no other way to vent their frustrations and feelings of inferiority, except by being cruel to others who can't fight back, so they can feel strong in the knowledge that there are others beneath them.
Internet is a convenient place to do it, as it has no consequences, unlike beating or insulting those around.
Alas, it would be great if men and women could learn the value of stoicism, humility, Valor and true strength, the world we live could be a better place, including our pvp video-games.
But fear not, if you, as an individual carry this values on your every action, and every game you take part on, know that by this sole action any and all matches you participate in will automatically be better and those who meet you will carry the memory of that nice player.
There will be those that will mock you and be ungrateful to you, but pay them no mind, for they are small and inconsequential.
Reap the ggs and words of appreciation that Will inevitably come your way, for there is no shame in taking pride on it, and cast aside the weeds that will also crop up around, as they deserve not a second look.
By this mindset, you will need not to concern yourself with "toxicity", nor will those around you, at least while you are there.
Play like this. Live like this.

I think we're just confusing each other. When I said buff, I meant buff to the status effect. What I proposed is a small nerf to the survivor side, and small buff to the killer side. Exhaustion is just slightly more punishing. Does that make sense?
Yes, I understood that, that's why I initially said that while I agreed (that a change was needed), I also didn't agree (the change should not be a buff for killer, debuff for survivor).
The hemorrhage change was a buff for killer. An exhaustion change should be a buff to survivor.
And, just to clarify, I'm a near absolute killer main.

I actually stopped watching streamers exactly because it felt like 99% of their matches were against absolute noobs. You'd see people play Pig without Corrupt Intervention and get into a long chase, without a single gen popping, while if you yourself were playing her, even if the fastest chase in the world will get you 3 gens lost in the first minute since everyone and their pet goldfish comes with BNPs into the game.
This is actually one of the things I like from otzdarva streak videos.
I'm the first to admit he is most definitely not the most skilled streamer, probably because he doesn't seem to have a main, but that puts him closer to my skill level than, say, truetalent.
Otz on his more recent streaks has been putting not only his best matches, but also his lost matches (that made restart the streak) and his very rough matches that were 1 mistake away from defeat. You can see him get bullied, Gen rushed, having to drop chases against powerful tile combos, but you also see him counter and often end gaining the upper hand or at least fighting back reasonably and this is something that I have been able, to a degree, to reflect on my own gameplay.
I really learned from him and his defeats.

Oni is an ancestor of Rin and her father but it’s over several generations. There was speculation going on that another Yamaoka or maybe even Rins father might become a new killer at some point!
Oh. Thanks for clarifying that. Maybe the oni is mad at his grand grand grand grand niece for being a lesbian?
I can totally see oni mains entering role play mode and tunneling whatever female survivor the community ships Rin with xD
Though that might not be a good thing, now that I think about it....

Haemorrhage received a flat buff, which is what I'm also proposing for exhaustion. What you're proposing is more of a rework.. buff + nerf at the same time.
OK, but you are not proposing buff at all, but a debuff.
Also, because exhaustion has no effect, adding any effect, including an stridor like effect is already a rework.
I'm simply trying to make it into something that acts as a buff for survivors.
My proposition has no debuff. The extended exhaustion when healing or repairing is to give survivors the chance to take advantage of the skill check buff, and ultimately they would have control over what they want.
Ok, escaped from than mean killer, let's smash those gens or get me patched up real quick. Or, damn I gotta get back to the killer, I'll just rest on this locker here for a spell so I can go back to prevent the killer from slaughtering my chase challenged team mates.
Since all of this activates on exhaustion, no exhaustion perk means, nothing of this matters.

I would like a story like that about Rin and her father. Makes sense and builds on the already established lore!
(one minor nitpick: Kazan is not the father of Spirit, I don’t think her father is mentioned directly by name but Kazan is the Oni)
Oh. I didn't know that. I thought her father became the oni.
Maybe I should read the lore more.

Exhaustion is the only status effect in the game that is reliant on a survivor bringing an exhaustion perk for it to even effect them. If a survivor has no exhaustion perk, it literally does nothing to them. Isn’t this a design flaw?
It would be one thing if exhaustion was only self-inflicted; but as we know, there’s a set of killer perks and add-ons that apply it to survivors as well. It doesn’t have to be anything major, but exhaustion needs some effect outside of making survivors unable to use exhaustion perks.
My idea? It also gives a Stridor effect. Exhausted survivors breathe a bit louder if healthy, and groan heavier if injured. It would be applied at a level of 2% louder per every five seconds of exhaustion needed to recover (so 16% louder while exhausted for another 40 seconds, for example).
What are your thoughts?
Edit: auto-correct loves add-ons.
I agree, but also I don't.
I think it could certainly receive a change, but the hemorrhage change was a buff, so I think exhaustion change should also be a buff.
I'm thinking something like:
Exhaustion recovers 33% slower while repairing a generator or healing. Increases the odds of skill checks by 10%. Increases the great success area for skill checks by 20%.
Exhaustion recovers 25% faster while resting inside a locker.

DEATHSLINGER SHOULD BE THE FIRST GAY KILLER
Oh right!, yes that was indeed the topic.
Honestly though what's with all these people pooping on every thread and turning it into witch hunt. Seriously, this is why we can't have nice things.
Back to topic, we already got a male homosexual character, so for representation sake, I think it would be better to have female lesbian and I wouldn't mind it being a killer.
Nurse is taken, so that leaves adiris, Rin and bunny momma.
From the trio I would prefer Rin. Lots people already ship her with half the female survivors and it could be fitted into her lore that the real reason Kazan went to town on her was because he found out she was dating another woman and that his wife had become sterile after Rin, meaning his bloodline was disgraced and nearly extant, with his work problems being merely the drop that spilled the glass.
Just my take, would love to read others

Erh. Someone should probably lock this thread soon. Like, what was the topic again?

I think that one is a visual glitch from what I've seen, at least on killer side. I had a couple games last night where survivor was definitely was second stage, but it showed the red bar as if they were about to start second stage again, only to get sacrificed.
I'll have to pay attention to it the next time I play in a SWF, maybe it's both ways?
I read that too, that it was a visual glitch, but I'm 101% certain this time it wasn't because I was keeping tabs on everyones status, because I was trying to complete a challenge that required me to sacrifice all 4 survivors in the basement in one game.
The bill was hooked once, then he was rescued almost immediately, because I let them, way before reaching stage 2.
A while later, find him again, hook him in my scourge hook and he just dies. I'm positive of this.
I mean it sucked that I failed my challenge, but it must have sucked more for him.
-
Sacrificing survivors in second hook. That's just really sad.

Let it just be spirit and please the crowd.

The thing is it made a mediocre perk even worse.
I am okay with stronger perks being countered but mediocre perks being countered just slaps people in the face.
Like I unironically tried to make Solidary work, obviously it failed a lot.
So, are you implying that iron grasp and stridor are powerful perks that could use some dialing down?
Nevertheless, you should read further, as I already mentioned that I agree that at least one of those perks should definitely receive some buff to counter hemorrhage to a degree, while the other, I explain why I believe it does not.

Pls bring lightborn so I know to stay on gens instead of going for saves!!! 🙏
You keeping da homies fed with escapes, thank you for using lightborn. 😍💕
This. The best counter to flashlights, if you find them annoying, is to just play along. Lightborn or Franklin just sends them back to gens.
Playing along keeps them close to you, where you can easily hit or down them, rather than doing anything useful for their teams.
-
I dunno about next update, but yesterday I killed a poor bill on second hook and I'm certain he hadn't reached second stage, because I was actually keeping tabs for the "sacrifice everyone on basement" challenge. He must have thought I was a cheater.
-
The entity feeds on survivor's hope and eventual desperation.
Letting the last survivor have hope that it can still escape is ideal for the entity, as is having that hope crushed when yoy shut the hatch and catch them trying to open the doors

I've been getting in the habit of giving SBMM a chance and playing every single lobby it gives me no matter what. Matches been better then I thought actually.
But I did dodge one lobby yesterday. They were 4 PC players (as I am) , all of them were loaded up in arms with items and 3 were all decked out Nea new cosmetics. Got thaT noob 3 vibe and booked it.
Oh. I think I faced those. Dunno if they really were the same, but they were a fun bunch.
Difficult to hook, relatively simple to slug and did not care about generators at all. It helped that I was running wraith, so I loaded a fun build.

Sloppy's always been a popular perk, though. It's consistent slowdown for everyone who isn't Plague and it's one of the few generic killer perks that's actually useful, so everyone has it and can run it. It's quite common to play against, especially now that CoH's healing speed has been slowed and the slowdown it causes is more noticeable. It's also popular on Legion, who are all over the place right now. The perk aside, Hemorrhage is also attached to a lot of killer addons - often in tandem with Mangled, which is extremely popular and often brought as a sort of fifth perk slot.
Lightborn isn't commonly run except as a response to seeing tons of flashlights in a lobby, or by baby Billies with no perks/doing their adept.
Solidarity was always garbage compared to other healing perks and needs to do something else, but Resurgence was pretty nice and I used to bring it on occasion - now it's a hard pass. Resurgence always had the chance to be useless, if I was up against a Plague or a basement Bubba or I just never got unhooked, but now it's too likely that it won't do anything for it to be worth running. Think Smash Hit when you can't camp pallets against half the roster.
I see what you are saying. But then again, resurgence is almost always used to heal under hook, if you are doing this, then new hemorrhage has no effect on resurgence.
Healing under hook has always carried the risk of the killer coming back and catching you and likely downing you again. Assuming the killer does interrupt your healing but you manage to escape anyway by some miracle, only then will hemorrhage will have any effect on this scenario, I don't see why it's unfair that hemorrhage gives value by at least removing the healing progress if this conditions are met, I mean it IS supposed to have an effect, but no, it's not automatically removing your perk.
You took a gamble and lost, and if the killer brought hemorrhage, then yes, you are supposed to pay for that, if you even manage to get away.
I do agree that solidarity could use some work around hemorrhage though. I think a small window of time (10 seconds?) where the healing regression is negated should prove adequate.

Yes but the risk of bringing this perk and the killer having a perk or add-on that inflicts haemorrhage is moderate which is sad because the perk effect doesn't deserve to be negated.
Why not? There have been perks that counter other perks for some time.
Like boil over and iron grip, or stridor vs iron will.
It's all part of the gamble.
-
It hasn't. Hemorrhage isn't basekit.
It's like saying lightborn has made flashlights and flashbangs useless.
-
Ohtofu guides are a lot more beginner friendly and lay down a lot of The basic stuff.
Red gaming gears is also an excellent streamer to learn killers individually.

Yes, but... Isn't SBMM supposed to adjust for that? Not doing well (low skill) adjust MMR down and give easier matches? I mean, we are not talking some small difference in supposed skill here. The killers are basically dominating baby solo matches that I had today.
That's a flawed logic. Yes, mmr is meant to adjust the skill level of your adversary to your own, but in the case of solo queue, it also adjust the skill level of your allies.
Having your survivor mmr too low will cause you to enter the so called "low mmr hell", where your other solo Q companions will be abysmal. No matter how skilled you are individually, if the other 3 survivors are so bad they go down in 15 seconds, constantly fail skill checks and unhook without BT in the face of the killer, chances are that you too will also die or escape through hatch (no mmr change) and so you will remain in mmr hell.
The babiest of baby killers can still chase a survivor in a straight line, hit them and hook them, so even if they are inexperienced, they will still dominate this kind of games and if the survivors are goofing around trying to do challenges, it only worsens the situation.
Anyway, welcome to hell. Be aware that the only way out requires at least 2 other survivors who are your friends and are willing to bail you out.

I'm kinda curious, what makes Ormond such a bad map? I kinda like it and tend to do decently there.

Chains spawn on waves for the holder. You have enough time to solve the box between waves, but if you take too long to start or miss a skill check, you will be interrupted and will have to wait until the next wave ends.
Also, you have plenty time after picking the box to find a good spot and solve it. Don't pick the box unless you're ready to solve it.
