I don't see why ppl are so obsessed with this just to save some bloodpoints for faster acquiring new perks etc when a new chapter drops. why is such a hurry to "unlock" everything? is that the time and age we live in... eveything needs to go fast and be done as fast as possible. Its like these challenges, people rush rush rush to get everything done... to end up with doing nothing ther est of the month.
not to mention that you won't get the fragments too when saving these challenges and therefore you delay leveling up the rift
I'll explain why I personally like to do it.
1. I don't really care when I unlock stuff from the rift. They are all mainly charms so they don't matter. I've already got a skin for all my main survivors and killers so they don't mean anything either.
2. The points will eventually be unlocked so I don't mind waiting. At the minute those points would go towards leveling up a killer I'm not currently playing (Deathslinger).
3. I still make sure to reach the end of the rift to unlock the charm. This means I can still progress onto the next set of challenges when I'm done.
4. The next killer/survivor could be pretty cool. Maybe your new main perhaps? Especially since this one is a licensed killer, some people will want to get them to p3 as quickly as possible.
5. I like playing fun builds on my mains. When a new survivor/killer drops there is usually some really fun builds that can be made with their perks. Since this new survivor won't have a lot of perks I want to unlock them for my main.
6. Personally I like the look of the level after it's been completed. The mixture of blue and yellow looks really satisfying for me lol
These are my reasons for doing this. Not everyone does this but I know a few do so I wanted to help them out as much as I can. I think at some point if you level up every single survivor and killer you may want to do the same as well.

Perfect mate ๐ if you've made any progress and you want to see can you save another way then I can help out

The problem is people sometimes don't know when to leave a survivor. They will deliberately lose the game in order to kill this one survivor who looped them well.
I agree with your assessment btw. No one should tunnel unless they have a good reason. If I know this person is on death hook, and only 2 gens are left then I may chase and down them for pressure. If there are 5 gens left then there's not much point in chasing them.
People just shout "tunneller" even though they may not actually understand why they felt that they needed to do it.
-
Were they all running a head-on build?

I will say this was the most awkward one I've worked on. So many different ways you can go so it wouldn't shock me if someone found a better route.
Hopefully I saved you some Bloodpoints before you got too far in.

I'm a little bit of a noob (I just started playing during COVID), but what's the benefit to saving the blood points from this tome?
The maximum amount of Bloodpoints you can hold is 1,000,000. With what I'm doing you can save probably another 1,000,000 between multiple tome levels.
All of this will go towards the new killer/survivor so we can get all of their teachables unlocked immediately. The next killer/survivor is set to be released at the beginning of June.
Thank you @apathytheclown for telling him. I just thought I'd give a bit more detail incase he doesn't know much about dbd.

no , I used to be able to sacrifice 1 survivor per gen but now they buffed the survivors so much that the killer and his perks are all useless without an ebony mori . if I 4k I get around 20k bloodpoints which I can only do when I use an ebony mori . if I do all the same work as I would have done to 4k the survivors but without an ebony mori , despite having all the add-ons and perks I would have used with the mori and despite doing all the same things I only get 7k BP . its ridiculous how much the survivors got buffed . everyone complained about camping , so they nerfed the killer's BP's when he camps , everyone complained about gens being to slow and now they are so fast that the trial is over within 5 minutes and as killer I did all the work , including chasing the survivors which actually takes time but BHVR seem to have decided to ignore this fact , and I don't even get rewarded for the work I did and I have to play against toxic survivors who constantly pallet camp , DS me , use borrowed time , and if I used no-ed its now a wasted perk since it only activates at the end of the trial if the hex was'nt taken down . it's ridiculously unbalanced and BHVR really need to fix this because I won't play anymore until they do .
Just saying they aren't the strongest survivors if they pallet camp. Also most killers who camp don't care about the lost bp so it doesn't actually fix camping. The last few changes that have been made have been to help killer. Maps are smaller, toolboxes nerfed, doctor buffed, multiple survivors on 1 gen slightly nerfed, infinites gone and bigger distances between tiles.
I don't know what more you can expect from them tbh.

I just watched this video (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4Ih8Z139d5M) of someone talking about the clues that we have in Pyramid Head's favor! I think it's alright to be hopeful, it might not be him but it's definitely possible! :-)
I think it would be pretty sneaky on BHVR's part to put out red herrings like the candy tweet, while being far more subtle with clues as to what they're actually planning! But, I guess we'll just have to wait and see.
Personally the world of Silent Hill would make for an extremely cool chapter. I'd love to see what sort of map they could create. The problem is the license isn't iconic enough and that's why I don't think they will do it.
I don't think it's Candyman either, I think it's too on the nose. My pick has been Pennywise for the last while though I made a joke the other day about it being a Matilda chapter lol

I hope it is but I'm nearly certain it isn't.

It reminds me of zombies tbh. Quite simple in design but get more complex as you learn about the game.
I can play dead by daylight and cod zombies on autopilot without really thinking too hard. I can just play the game, chat to mates and maybe have a drink. Also both involve looping/training ๐

A few may to feel better, but again I say a lot of killers use SWF as an excuse they lost and I say that because I used to do it myself. Then playing survivor I started to realize some situations happen so often that good or even decent players know how to handle them together.
OP hasnโt said what made him so sure the first game. I can organize a late game save with total strangers, really the only thing that takes coordination is organized head on
Very good point mate. I know I've been accused of being in a swf when I haven't been so it probably was for that reason.
-
I don't see much point in lying. Though I know someone who did lie about this and they said it was because they were using mics in their swf game. There might be more reasons why people would do this but I personally wouldn't.
-
Personally may favourite build to play in the game, I also love facing it too. It can be countered easily by spine chill and a med kit but it's always a lot of fun.
You need a good team to beat it but the same can be said for multiple builds like impossible skill check doc and no power oni. I wouldn't want to face that build as a solo player but I wouldn't complain about it.
-
The mentality is "treat others the way you want to be treated" I believe.
So if I don't camp as killer, I don't someone else to do it. If I don't be toxic, I don't want the other side to be toxic.
I think that's why people who only play one side seem to create the most rules I think.

Yeah the only times I bothered using it was on old Freddy with black box. And the obsession just got woken up by the survivor who spawned next to them. Pretty cool offering!
Hilarious lol I remember the killer once used one and all 4 survivors somehow spawned on the hill
-
Shroud doesn't work properly for killers. I've played a few games where the killer has used the shroud and I've still spawned with all the survivors.
-
At the minute I don't think anyone is saying wraith is bad. Currently he's B tier I believe and is higher with good add-ons.
It's good to see you did well with him and looked like you got a lot of points which is great.
Also I appreciate you saying some games you just can't win. Some people don't seem to like that idea but it's good that you understand it. We all have those games where we can't do anything about the loss. Whether this be by our killer, map, gen placement or survivors.

Yeah she needs an addon pass. Only ones i ever use are croutch speed and charge speed.
Then again, I hardly ever use anything but brown add ons for all my killers. Maybe Thats why i suck.......
I think she actually has better add-ons than most tbh. She has some really bad and pointless ones but her add-ons add more variety than most killers.
I don't play a particular killer enough times to use all their add-ons. I would play 2/3 killers games a day and I usually play different killers each game.

No it's ok lol I just wanted to confirm I don't tunnel as pig, especially if they are wearing a trap. Negates the point of the trap if you decided to tunnel which is why I dislike the exhaustion add-on for her. It's like they're asking people to tunnel with her lol

I believe these are actually scrapped ideas found in the game code from ages ago; apparently they were never removed.
The ruler was the power of "The Teacher", a scrapped killer.
The apple was, I believe, a scrapped perk.
The hat was a scrapped perk called "Detention".
Well it seems like they are revisiting them. There just doesn't seem to be a logically reason to me.
Here's the full picture btw.
-
@Vox_Nocturne said:
I think I've seen them somewhere before. The apple was a proposed perk for a fan-made killer "The Puppeteer" I think, and that brown one looks like a ruller weapon for the considered Teacher murderer. Not sure about the green one though. This could either be a random pic, or a clue. But I believe this isn't to do with the killer at this stage. Interesting find, though!
Bearing in mind I wrote a puppet chapter then finding a perk relating to a puppeteer is quite funny lol
I just find it weird seeing these on one of their computers for no reason. Doesn't make sense to me. I don't know any license that these could relate to so I hope someone else would know.

If you are going after a person trying to remove the rbt purposely, you are not playing pig properly. The rbt, is supposed to remove a person from the game for a short time allowing you to better pressure the others.
Not saying to completely avoid them should you run into them though.
1) Blindness should remove all auras, including jigsaw boxes
2) Illusionary doctors should also emanate a terror radius
3) Freddy, dream pallets base, snares with add ons.
Don't worry I don't play pig like that lol tunnelling the trapped survivor is pretty dumb.
I meant if I see them on a box or I know what boxes they've searched then I can apply pressure to them from that information. I see why you thought I meant by tunnelling though so apologies for giving off that impression.
-
It's unfortunate that your struggling against the doctor but I'd say he isn't broken. He can be good if played well but he definitely can be looped.
I'd say your probably a lower rank as killer if you haven't played as the doctor yet. Getting merciless in your first game isn't that tough tbh. To get the trophy for adept killer you need to get a merciless with the killers 3 teachable perks. Every killer I've went for adept on (which I always do immediately after their released) I've gotten first try. The only exception was Plague who was glitched for a short while.
I'd suggest watching some videos on how to counter doctor and it will help you a lot. I think after facing him a few times you'll be able to beat him quite easily.

I agree that it's not problematic, it's just annoying and repetitive. In solo queue my teammates get gimped by this strategy sometimes which also sucks. These are really just minor nitpicks of camping as a whole, these killers are just an indication of its effects.
There's a reason I stopped trying to get good randoms on solo que long ago lol if I'm getting tunneled or camped I can at least tell my team what they should do. Btw speaking of pig we had a random teammate die to the bear trap the other day. She ran out the door while it was active even though the killer wasn't chasing her.
She was a rank 2..

I would love the pig, her kit is actually pretty fun, but the people I face who play her do so just because she has built in insidious for camping and tunneling. The Pig, Hag, and GF are good examples of good killers ruined by the people who use them.
100% agree. Some pigs just tunnel which is extremely annoying but her camping doesn't usually cause me any problems. I don't mind if the pig camps a box since personally I love seeing the head pop animation. Ghostface never causes problems when camping either tbh. Hag however will trap a full 16m around the hook and without really good coordination and bt that survivor is dead or someone trades.
-
Go to any streamer who has played this game over 2000 hours and tell them moris are fine lol believe me even the biggest killer mains won't agree.
Just saying if you firmly believe this then I'd say add someone with over 2000 hours. Tell them to run a mori and tunnel if they want. If more than two gens pop I'd be pretty shocked tbh.
A mori won't make a difference in every game but the same can be said for stuff like keys.
-
@NinjaDette1 said:

for me itโs the pig and her bear traps.
That's where we disagree. I love the pig lol think she can be very fun to face and her traps add a new thing to do besides just rushing gens.
Also playing her and getting a head pop is the best.
-
Hag.. Not fun to face. She usually camps and I don't find it fun having to crouch walk just incase she placed a trap somewhere. Also the fact that my camera turns toward a trap I set off is also extremely annoying.
-
4 man sandbag. All 4 of you randomly choose a target from your team to kill (don't tell them who it is) and your objective is for everyone to escape, except your target. Everyone turns off their mics so no one can tell who is getting targeted.
I then run object, head-on, quick and quiet and bond. Bond to find my target, object to show the killer our location then head-on/quick and quiet to hide once the killer arrives.

Happy you enjoy the game man. I never had the same graphic problems so maybe I got lucky.
-
Kind of like most horror games. Only scary for new people.
Imagine your 3rd or 4th play through of dead space or alien isolation. You probably wouldn't find them scary qt that point tbh.
-
Best killer without perks. Getting a head pop is the best feeling in the game. Not OP but not weak. I'd say if you can master her then she will be very good against a lot of teams.
-
Depends on each game. I want to 3 hook everyone for points, especially with 5 gens left. Though if I think they are a strong team then I'll slug a bit. I wouldn't slug 3 or 4 at the end, probably only 1.
