Dont get me wrong, i love the perk and itd be fun to run. Im just seeing trolls πŸ˜‹

Hey that's good to hear mate πŸ‘ your telling me there are trolls on the forums?πŸ‘€

That perk is awesome but i have a feeling itd be treated as a new NOED killers would be called trash for running it until it gets nerfed or people stop using it

If they did I'd laugh lol seems like people take the opportunity to complain about pretty much everything. The idea behind this perk was to give the 1v1 where the better person gets what they deserve. Either the killer gets the kill or the survivor loops him for 1 min and gets back to the hatch.

Or one other idea i saw is to increase the bp cap for every devotion. That also would be nice.

That would be nice for new chapter point saving but that's the only time it would really matter imo. If it did both our ideas then that would be brilliant.

OOOOH, yeah that makes more sense! Yeah, a hatch perk would probably be a good idea but personally I don't think anyone would ever run it.

This was my idea for it.

    sketch-1581253122676.png

It all depends on how confident the killer is. Noed is a perk that doesn't become active till end game yet people take the perk because they know they either don't need all 4 perks during the game or it's their second chance perk.

My version is for killers who are confident they won't make it to end game.

  • Well I've been playing it constantly for 2 and a half years so probably no lol

  • I remember feeling horrible because in tome 1 they released a challenge where you had to kill the obsession 4 times. This was a week before the perk nemesis was released (which was stupid). Anyway I like getting challenges done as quick as possible so the best way to do it was to tunnel the unhooked survivor, hope they had ds then mori them.

I'm shocked that over the two games I did this challenge in I didn't get one message.

  • I remember when killer were afraid this would become a new meta swf perk lol I don't mind the change but I'd definitely go with the lower 40/50/60m range.

  • I don't mind the hatch. They need to nerf keys and I believe add a hatch perk but otherwise I think it's ok.

  • Cosmetics aren't great Devotion rewards since at the higher levels hardly anyone will have them. It would be a lot better if they gave a bloodpoint bonus instead. Maybe an additional 5% per Devotion.

Bro , ask yourself this , would you rather have a killer playing and blocking swfs or dont have that killer at all. Also would you rather have a survivor that blocks a spirit but playing or not having that survivor at all.

Killers aren't leaving the game the way your trying to imply lol they just shortened map sizes, removed infinites and reduced tiles. They've just gave killer a massive buff so I don't understand after all that why they'd leave.

If the killer can block swf teams then the que times for survivor will increase meaning your more likely to lose them. Killer wait times are only 20 seconds so if they had to wait longer they wouldn't mind. A survivor wouldn't stop playing the game because of just 1 killer out of 19 lol

  • This perk doesn't need touched. Tbh if the killer sees you with BBQ it doesn't help him down you. I personally only run the perk for points on my killers. BBQ can be easily countered by giving the killer no hooks.

It probably can be annoying when you try healing in the corners with self care.

  • @Macymj6 said:

Yall screamed for a freddy buff and now look what happened. He is way too OP now. He has 3 powers and a ridiculous lunge. Oh andddd fake pallets. He needs a nerf or rework or SOMETHING. I am so tired of going against Freddy and 90% of the time he has fake pallets.

Fake pallets is exactly what you want. Especially on certain maps fake pallets are terrible. Snares make looping more difficult whereas if your chases first you pretty much know all the pallets are real. When it comes to freddy he's good but not top 3.

Spirit, Nurse and Billy still are better. I'd rather face him than hag and oni also.

  • @japabartz said:

Hey guys, how about survivors being able to opt out of specific killers (as many as they want) and killers being able to opt out of swf's. Now, i know some will say that you will increase your matchmaking times by doing this, but if someone wants to do it knowingly, let it be up to them. I believe that the amount of ppl that will return to the game after this, will even shorten the match making queues.

Not really mate. It won't bring that many people back. The thing is if the killer blocks that swf then that swf has even longer to wait for a lobby. Your punishing a team for potentially playing your game long enough to get good at it.

As for dodging killers it's the same sort of thing. The problem is if they added a blocking mechanic people would still complain about que times.

No, not anywhere near the extent killers need add ons.

That’s not to say killers cannot play without add ons. Just that it’s much more feasible for survivors to go into a match without any items at all and still have a high chance of success.

Survivors also have more perks to get. This doesn't include unlocking the teachables either.

The thing is your saying about the killer needing to restock add-ons but as survivor we have a lot more different add-ons to unlock. Which means we have a far fewer selection of each add-on overall and they are mostly useless. Then if we take into account the que times and the difference between WGLF and BBQ it's night and day how easy it is to earn bp as killer.

I would just like my points per minute as survivor to be a bit closer to killer.

  • @Nutty_Professor said:

So I had an idea that if survivors choose to play SWF then they forfeit the ability to use certain perks. As certain perks are okay when used by solo survivors but become unbalanced when used by SWF teams.

Object of Obsession: When OoO is paired with comms, it becomes extremely unbalanced and unfair to the killer to go against. In a SWF the OoO user is able to inform their team the location of the killer at all times.

DS: I personally believe DS should get a nerf where it deactivates when the survivor begins working on a genrator. DS is an extremely powerful perk, and top SWF team can abuse the flawed perk design to their advantage.

Maybe Unbreakable: Unbreakable is one of the strongest survivor perks in the game. It can turn a game in a situation where normally the survivor team would have lost. I'm 50/50 whether unbreakable should be included in this.

Although I don't think BT should be locked, as it's one of the only perks you can use to counter camping.

I must stress that I'm actually a survivor main (a solo survivor main), I also play killer at red ranks so I know what it's like to go against a top SWF team, and the frustration it can cause. Even when you get a 4k against them the experience that led to that win was not an enjoyable experience.

Comment your opinion whether you agree or disagree with me. If you do agree with me what other perks would you add to be locked from SWF.

If your list is designed to show all perks that a swf shouldn't be allowed to run then I think your not understanding swf properly. Not all swf teams can get value out of these perks and the weaker swf teams who aren't great at the game may need these perks to stand a chance in this game.

Object needs a nerf. Ds may need a condition but the timer should stay the same. Unbreakable shouldn't be locked off. If these perks were blocked then another set would take their place quite easily.

I think people don't realise what makes a swf team good. Everyone assumes that the comms are the reason but it's not. It's the fact that all 4 players are really good at looping and know the game inside out. Yes swf teams spread info like who the killer is and gen progress but swf teams will adapt and still beat the killer. To be honest the thing that I think swf only needs comms for is to help against campers and tunnellers.

I'd love to see a really good swf team do a test on this. Play a full night of games without using the comms and see how many escapes they get. Personally I love to talk so I wouldn't try this lol

I vividly remember the face of The Doctor that tunneled me because I saved a teammate with BT. I didn't even know you could get tunneled for using BT until that day.

I got voice messages because I bodyblocked the killer trying to get a hook πŸ˜‚ you can get tunnelled for just simply existing lol

I feel like BHVR really needs to make Blindness and Hemorraging much more useful because those two status effects tend to be the ones you ignore because of much more darn powerful Mangled and Exhausted is. They both can literally deny the Survivor to use the perks they brought or severely hinder them

I think they are tough to make more important. I'd say they need to make the oblivious status effect more prominent since it's the most confusing. Exhaustion just trumps everything since every good survivor uses one exhaustion perk.

    @LordGlint said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1282502#Comment_1282502

Someone brought up an aura reading effect that actually seems pretty nasty. Imagine getting an aoe aura read for afew seconds everytime you nail a shot. As someone who was a big fan of the old class photo on Freddy b4 his rework...I can appreciate how valuable information is.

I didn't see this idea. I assume it's a hit survivor with hatchet shows the auras of every survivor sort of thing? If so then that sounds pretty good.

  • "You spun me 3 times" lol the excuses for this are endless

  • I love seeing it as survivor. I find it funny that someone can get that irritated especially if you do nothing to them.

  • @LordGlint said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1282370#Comment_1282370

Ghostface can lean off pretty much anything though. In the case of Lerys and a 20 meter requirement, youd have trouble finding a spot to be able to throw from 20 meters away that isnt blocked by an obstacle or a wall. The only map I could see that would be similar to this when describing ghostface's lean would be MAYBE rotten fields since theres not many objects on the map to lean off of and the corn gets in the way of stalking in general.

I was thinking more blood lodge but rotten fields seems a better example. At least Lerys have the edges and the doors have a good distance too. Oni's ultra rare is another that only works on certain maps (indoor maps).

I'm just imagining facing a huntress with multiple status effects hatchets. Personally I would just see it as another Exhaustion add-on tbh. Blindness, Mangled and Hemorrhaging wouldn't bother me since they don't affect my ability to loop.

Then again I don't play a lot of huntress so maybe it's stronger than I think. If your idea is added as another ultra rare then that's fine but for me iri head should still hold some sort of instadown quality. One that rewards the killer for having good aim.

  • @DelsKibara said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1282350#Comment_1282350

So basically it's going to be useless in Indoor maps.

I think I would rather go with Glint's idea. To me a good Ultra Rare add-on works well in any map, doesn't matter what it is, because they're meant to be powerful.

Yea on lerys it would be terrible. Unfortunately most killers with add-ons or not are at the mercy of map rng. She needs another ultra rare so she could have the status effect one and a range instadown.

Ghostface with his leaning add-ons are at the mercy of the map in particular. Same with Trapper's traps on maps like the Game.

I don't mind what they do tbh. I don't see that add-on too often either way.

  • Plunders and no mither should both be moved up one I think. Sabo and fixated should be lower but you've done a really good job mate.

  • Personally I believe it needs a range for the instadown. 20m but with 3 hatchets instead of 5. Makes no difference in close quarters anymore but rewards good distant aim.

  • Any experienced red ranks reply to this lol

    sketch-1589657920016.png

Yea you'll definitely see this a lot up here lol

I actually think that all 3 choices make equally as much sense as eachother.

1 winner = Picking the best overall cosmetic

2 winners = Picking the best survivor cosmetic and the best killer cosmetic

    3 winners = Picking a 3rd place, 2nd place, and 1st place

That doesn't make sense mate lol they said they are choosing at least 1 survivor and 1 killer cosmetic.

I mean even using Overwhelming Presence, a perk not highly regarded, I’ve noticed DEFINITELY alters behaviour with Flashlights because the survivors are so precious about their battery life.

Exactly, we don't need them asap, it takes time and the team are working on other things etc, on another note wouldn't it be cool if they put ALL designer names into a hat, shook it and blindly picked out who won! i so wish to see that in the future lol

Ok too far lol the risk may not be worth the reward on that one πŸ˜‚

When I say "the art team", I mean not so much the concept artists as the modellers, texture artists, animators etc. who put the work into making these cosmetics a reality. The more cosmetics there are, the more work it is for them.

But I agree, and I think that's totally fair enough. I'm sure the decision was really difficult either way! There were at least half a dozen different entries that I would have absolutely loved to have in the game, so it would certainly be a pleasant surprise if they were to announce more than two winners this time around. At least we know for certain that there will be at least two, since the rules specifically said there would be "winners" in the plural 😊

They did such an amazing job on the feng and the Clown cosmetics. They made us wait 6 months for then so if they did that again or even longer I'd be fine with it.

Honestly bar the announcement of the next chapter, the winners of this contest are what I'm most excited for from the 26th stream.

  • @[Deleted User] said:

    Hallelujah, preach!

    This is so true.

If a killer sees this in the lobby then the killer should also be able to preempt the kind of behaviour the survivors are likely to exhibit.

Mindlessly picking up downs straight away without checking for other survivors nearby is purely the killers own fault.

    Here here brother lol

Toolboxes = Gen rushing or sabo

Medkits = Extremely quick heals or instaheals

Flashlights = Failed bully squad when using Franklin's or more importantly Infectious

  • @Mushwin said:

I was only saying this yesterday to Mr Mushwin, because there is soo many great designs and people sending in their work i think 2 survs and 2 killers would be good, maybe release two and then 6 months later the other two as well devs have to design them

This is how I felt lol choosing 2 from each side I think is pretty fair and the devs can take as long as they need to make them.

    @Fibijean said:

The winners are being contacted from today onwards, so they've surely already been chosen. Especially at this late stage, a public poll isn't going to change their minds because they most likely decided how many winners they wanted to have based on practical factors as well, such as the workload involved for the art team in creating said cosmetics.

In other words, it's totally fine to create something like this for discussion, as long as everyone understands that it's just for fun, because the decision on BHVR's end has almost certainly already been made.

I'm not expecting them to change it lol they are pretty hard to convince to change their minds. Even if it means next year they choose extra winners then I'll be happy. In terms of the art team I actually thought it would be better for them since they know roughly what they need to design.

For me certain killers like Plague don't have any cosmetics that (in own opinion) aren't that good. I only use her p3 if I play her. In this contest I seen amazing Legion, Plague, Billy and Huntress skins that would work perfectly in the game.

Your right about them making up their mind already. I just hope at the anniversary they say "We actually choose more winners" lol

  • @Zaitsev72 said:

Gives the survivors way too much of an advantage. When four survivors have a flashlight the killer might as well disconnect.

Honestly seeing multiple flashlights is the best thing you can get as killer. It means that they aren't focused on gens and are more focused on getting the flashlight save.

I'd rather see 4 flashlights than 4 med kits and 4 toolboxes. I think most experienced killers at high ranks would agree.

  • @Seiko300 said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1280645#Comment_1280645

Well, that's exactly why it would be greedy. We all know these community creations are first and foremost going to be put into the free track of the rift, "by the people for the people" and all that. Asking the devs to create more cosmetics that are undoubtedly going to be of equal quality to the premium cosmetics we can only get by paying for for free, is in its essence greedy.

Though sure, I will agree conceptually "if they're making cosmetics for the game, why not have more community influence" and yeah it's a bit of a shame such great ideas aren't making it in, but at the same time this contest is very new and I'm more than confident later down the line the devs will be looking at more ways to involve the community in the creative process of their work.

Hell, if they made a contest for written IDEAS, like backstory for killer, power for killer, backstory for survivor, new game-mechanic, new balance change, etc. I would be all over that, since unfortunately I'm not the best at drawing out there.

I wish they did do a contest to do with IDEAS rather than drawing also. I also don't have an artist talent which means my chapter/perks ideas don't look as good as a result of this. It would be nice but I don't think they will anytime soon.

Btw the reason I keep mentioning about putting the cosmetics in the free rift is because I don't think the creators get any money for their creation. If they were in the shop or premium rift I think behaviour would need to pay them, which may influence the amount of winners they choose.

I think if they put these skins in the free rift it will encourage people to reach tier 70 to get all the pieces. After they've reached tier 70 they might as well buy the rift since they get all their auric cells back and get a bunch of free stuff. So the grind to get all 70 tiers will give people a reason to buy the premium version in my opinion.

  • @Seiko300 said:

Lol what do you mean this is definitely a non-negotiable thing since it was a contest the developers set up themselves. Of course everybody wants more but it takes time for the devs to actually make these cosmetics into a reality in game.

It's fine the way it is right now. It seems a bit greedy to ask for even more when already the contest is such a great thing all by itself

And you have to keep in mind that even though not everybody's idea can be selected to be put in game, the contest alone is an absolutely massive wealth of ideas and a huge resource of inspiration for the devs to use not just for what can be created but to see what kinds of things people want in game. So even if a cosmetic isn't recreated to a T exactly in detail, something of a similar theme might come down the line.

Yea it takes time. I don't mind waiting 6 or more months. I just think there is way to many good designs to just choose 1 from each side.

I wouldn't call it greedy either tbh. They already need to create cosmetics for the game so I thought if they made them and put them into the free rift it would be a good idea.

The contest was amazing and full credit to everyone who competed in it. I just think it's a shame that more aren't chosen, especially since they've already looked at every cosmetic.

  • @brubli said:

    more cosmetics more good

If they were all in the next few free rifts it would be really smart. Imagine tomes 5/6/7 all had the winners as the free rift cosmetics. I'm not including tome 4 since the team need time to create the outfits.

Would you consider using the survivor perk if the numbers were a bit better? Something like 15 seconds off for status effects and 10/15/20% overall cooldown reduction? Im curious ^^

I don't think so. It's like vigil tbh. They are both weak but together might actually be strong lol

  • This is why people play swf. Teammates are unreliable and it pushes people to play in teams or leave the game.

If it makes you feel any better when i do use it i dont urban all over the map like a noob πŸ˜‚

But yeah as killer ive had teams use that strat i mentiined above very effectively. You waste time looking for them and when you find them you waste time chasing them, where as before it was just chase. I swear the meta is shifting. Survivors are splitting up to do gens and playing a little more immersed, because of that im finding 3 gens pop off by the time i get my first down and a 4th gen has some work done on it already. Before this latest update it wasnt like that (not complaining just saying what I see in game)

    Very slightly better πŸ˜‚

Urban is still a good perk at red ranks. Break line of sight, urban around another corner, run away. Not to mention a full team of immersed survivors that are also really good in chase is a nightmare for killers.

    Self care sucks

All I'll say is I've played this game for two and a half years and I've not seen a good urban user lol good loopers can use urban (like any other perk), but good loopers choose not too since getting in chases doesn't worry them.

Who knows, maybe someone can change my mind lol no problems to anyone who does run it but it just annoys me seeing red ranks using it.

  • When I see both urban evasion and self care run at red ranks. As killer its amazing but as survivor it's extremely frustrating to see.

Especially on a claudette or nea..

  • Really like the killer perk. I don't think it would become meta due to the fact survivors rush gens while injured. It can work well with tinkerer.

The survivor perk is a bit weak tbh. Don't see any reason to run it.

  • Really like the killer perk. I don't think it would become meta due to the fact survivors rush gens while injured. It can work well with tinkerer.

The survivor perk is a bit weak tbh. Don't see any reason to run it.

  • I'm fully expecting it to be a charm. So if your not playing your main you can still show who they are by the charms on your side.

Personally I don't understand this since people like me don't prestige too often and can't now since nearly all my killers have every perk. It should have been rank or devotion rewards.

  • It depends on each situation. If your about to go second stage I may farm you or trade in order to give you a second chance. The hope is that everyone is running ds.

Take each scenario as they come and definitely run ds.

  • Sorry mate that would be too strong. Survivors at high ranks can quit easily deal with most killers without changing their perks so seeing the killer would be broken.

The only change I'd make is hiding the survivors names from the lobby and only showing it after the game ends.

  • I personally really like the nurse mori. Don't see any reason it should be changed.

  • Can we just make this a pet showing thread? Instead of putting these photos in the surveys we can put them here.
