Overall drop rate feels like it's decreased which is sad. Definitely feel like they need to up it, especially on the survivor side.
-
When I played killer earlier it was extremely sweaty every game.
Felt like MMR was back on tbh
-
If people aren't happy, they have the right to complain.
Tell what you said to the poor people playing on old gen. They've had it quite bad recently and I bet they'll get no more than a few bloodpoints as compensation.

Yeah but there's a difference between "Hey this is pretty disappointing, especially considering you said you'd step your game up guys" and "You're all dogshit at your jobs, dogshit at your game, I hope every one of you gets fired".
I'm in the middle of what you said. The bottom isn't something I'd say but definitely wouldn't be as easy to them as the top message.
There has been times where I've been like the top part but there's only so many times you can be that nice to them.

A bit yes, I agree. Just not to the degree they do.
Well this is one we'll need to disagree on lol
This event, one of the two they were going to prioritise is too much for me to ignore. Basically reskins of last year + last years stuff. Even the little shrine change, which isn't difficult to do, just all feels lazy.

I wish the devs didn't get as much ######### as they do to be fair. A lot of the criticism should go to management looking at their employees and consumers and giving them all the finger.
I think they deserve a decent bit of stick tbh. They're the ones creating it and hyping it up for us.
Overwatch is owned by Activation yet they do so much better than this game.

Yeah we've had nothing but flops since Blight and Chains of Hate was the last chapter to work semi-properly on consoles and low-end PCs (4.0.0, Silent Hill, lagged the hell out of them)
Yep. People wonder why the devs get soooooo much #########.
But hey we will all ENJOY THE EVENT! π₯π₯

Need a lot more than that.
Disappointment, after disappointment, after disappointment, after disappointment, after disappointment, after disappointment, after disappointment..
Genuinely sick of this game. Pretty certain I'll take a break after it.

I'm getting at least ONE person bringing cakes. But that isn't a lot of points.
Still more than most days.
I think I'm going to stave off playing DBD right now if I have to deal with the ######### bugs.
That's fair. I'm not going to cash in my stores bp yet till they address the issues they have..
But hey at least we can say one thing to each other before your mini break. EnJoY ThE EvEnT!

i get 2-3 per blood web, sometimes 4 when i get em in a brown/yellow mystery box. all level 50 p3 bloodwebs. i spent 2,200,000 BP and got 68 cakes just now. roughly equates to 30,000 bp per cake. this is fine considering i will get minimum /w cake and bbq 90,000 bp per game, considering survs didnt play any (worst case), its completely fine when you consider the math.
Did you play during last years event?

I think there is a problem about survivor crowns idk about killer. If you just get the crown as killer i think this is enough. so u dont need a 4k

Enjoy the event..

What are the conditions for getting the killer crown?
Grabbed mine and got a 3k so just need to know.
Ob btw Enjoy the event!

Good ol' Behaviour. Apparently, they're just incapable of making a functional event these days. Wouldn't surprise me either if the low drop rates are intentional. Oh well, Behaviour are the kings of killing hype by releasing stuff in a broken state. Most of the event is just a copy and paste except, the background didn't even change, lol. What a joke of an event.
One of the two events they were "prioritising" for the community. So far it's been a big failure.
Enjoy the event!
-
@zeplore said:
Do not level survivors if you want cakes, every one of those event items would have been a cake on a killer 1-50 web. So technically about 45 cakes.
If you played last years event you'd understand that the drop rate is a lot worse than it was back then.
I don't mind getting event items, but I'd like to not have a Lv36 bloodweb have no event items.
-
We got Bhvr'd pretty much. Enjoy the event!
-
Same from me.
The item I least like seeing as a survivor and killer.
-
Don't worry they'll release 4 hot fixes and at least 1 of those will fix the issue.. right?
-
Right ok? Well played I guess?
If it were me I'd happily do that. I'm not letting a Wraith stay afk. Had a Wraith do that on Monday and I happily burned them. They got a few hooks (because me and my mate wanted WGLF stacks) but it didn't matter because we all got out.
-
If you use it correctly I believe it's super underrated.
A killer like Legion who struggles to down survivors I think this perk would be great on them. He can injure everyone with his power easily, then use coup de grace to get downs.
In a game where getting downs as quick as possible is important, I think a skilled player can get clutch downs with it. I'd like a skilled Legion main to try it someday and see if it helps.
-
There's so much wrong with this mate

This was my thought too
Yea it's the best idea. It's just one people don't like to suggest because they know how bad it can be sometimes for a new killer to face an experienced survivor.
You need to pray the person doing it won't be toxic.
-
For your first point you could've got unlucky. Good survivors never stay at one tile so you probably got unlucky.
Unfortunately this is why I play solo q rarely. Played 2 man swf a few days the past week and the amount of terrible teammates was horrible.
Here's the best example you'll ever hear.
Killer (Legion) brought Midwitch. First survivor immediately dc'ed and he started chasing me. I looped him for 4 minutes and 20 seconds! My mate did 3 gens while the survivor spent 3 minutes following me with a flashlight. Guess what, they missed..
My mate had to trade with me because the Legion decided to facecamp lol this survivor then proceeded to get downed in front of the hook TWICE instead of healing me and both trying. Anyway I left them to die and got out the door.
In this game my 4 minute chase would've resulted in a 5 gen chase and 4 man escape. Instead though I had a DC, and a trash waste of a teammate.

If I make a second account would I have to buy the game again?
I wouldn't be toxic, hell we need more killers playing! I would sacrifice myself to the killer to motivate them.
Thanks for the advice they are a fan of Bill which does help :)
On console no, not sure about pc. I know I'll probably get hate for suggesting it but honestly it's the best chance of getting them to stick to this game.
Those 3 I mentioned have the best starting perks for newer players. I would suggest Claudette too. You could include Feng there also (maybe before Meg and David).
Tell them there's an event starting on Wednesday for 2 weeks. Apparently during the event they will earn enough shards to buy 1 character for free. You should follow their Twitter to find out exactly how exactly you get them.
-
Ino this is frowned upon but it's probably best creating a 2nd account.
Just don't be toxic to the killer and just help out your friend. If they play with people your rank it will put them off completely.
Tell them to level Bill, Meg and David. Then say they can choose a main after that.

Holy #########, how many archive pages are 3,6 mil? I only have 3 pages saved and 1mil normal BP so maybe around 2,2mil total
Good thing I worked this all out lol wanted to know how much I had before the event started.
- Tome 4: 90K
- Tome 5: 1,025K
- Tome 6: 1,575K
- Tome 7: 940K
These are all the points I can immediately collect to start the event. Though I will say I haven't done any challenges in Tome 7 which is worth 1,035K. So during the event I'll earn an extra million from challenges lol

I just wish the grind was very much reduced so you didn't feel forced to do such measures just for bloodpoints
Please devs, reduce the grind, perk tiers are outdated scrap em.
It's a catch 22 situation unfortunately. It'll takes you longer to get max perks but you also get more opportunities to get gateaus/event items.
I would like the grind reduced regardless.

Do you have a plan for farming ? I am planing right now, what killer has the best time points ratio.
Playing killer for a few games during the day with BBQ. At night playing in a group of some kind. My main group will play for at least 6 hours tomorrow and probably 2 or so for most of the event days. Everyone of them will have gateaus/bps to use so we're all going to get at least 120K+
For me it's either Legion or Doctor. Getting deviousness points is something that not all killers get easily. The fact you need to 4k to get the extra 2,500 deviousness points makes me more inclined to choose Doctor. Basically you should choose a:
- Non-instadown killer (more brutality)
- Easy deviousness points
- Strong (hooks)
I don't know all the tome numbers sorry lol you should look at your archives and count it up.

I was just kidding, good job on saving this much, to keep my balance this high i was unable to play for a long time, so i don't have as much as you do in Tomes / Archives. I also already completed them (tomes) all except maybe a few challenges in 1 and the one that is active right now. Of course i also have a lot spared in the current tome challenges but i will need to complete the recent levels of the current one while the event is active since i needed to stop playing this long ago, that the current tome levels weren't unlocked yet.
Most of mine has been saved in the tomes lol I didn't complete the most recent level so that'll earn me another 1,035,000 once I do it.
@Zucker_Schock said:
IMPORTANT :
Everyone dont sleep on the Shrine of Secrets, it will switch every day and cost 500 shards less for each perk during the event. You can earn a lot of blood points if you buy them.
Don't worry I'm not lol already worked out that I'm going to spend 30,000 shards there to get another 4,000,000 BP.
-
@kaeru said:
I saved about 500k. It's enough to get several cakes on Huntress. So while I spend this new cakes, I will get ton of bp to level up Ghostface and maybe someone else.
Well it takes roughly 8 million (probably more) to get a character from Lv1 to Max Perks if you have them all unlocked. So unless your playing a lot of games during the event then good luck π
-
@Pilot said:
I'm currently on a measly 4,715,000 BP.
Hol' up....
WHY would you want to save BPs for an event that ONLY gives out BPs?
@Luciferr_2nd said:
Yeah i agree with @Pilot
You don't need to save bloodpoints for this event as the event is giving out bloodpoints...
It won't take too much bloodpoints anyway if you wanted to get the items/offerings on people.
Well I've saved it all for a bloodpoint event because after the event I'll be able to use Gateaus every single game for like 6 months.
I could've spent that 5/6 million before the event but I didn't really need to.
Just think of it this way. I'm going to be getting multiple event items and a lot of 105% gateaus in every bloodweb. Compare this to what I would've got in my bloodweb before the event. Overall I'm going to get a lot more bloodpoints doing this, than spending it before/after the event.
@indieeden7 said:
None, I'm just focusing on the crowns, not all that bothered about offerings and items
You care about the crowns? I genuinely haven't used a crown since I unlocked them last year. If they went above my head piece I might have but they don't.

People can only play Hag if they're playing with a mouse and keyboard that's why.
People just can't get enough of the bullshit which is scroll wheel Hag.
-
I've recently decided to P3 all my survivors. Means I can go into games on my P0, P1 and P2 characters only using flashlights. If I lose all of them then I can prestige that character.
Now it's getting closer to the event I'm just getting survivors to P3 for it.
-
First off I'm so pissed off because I wrote out a full list on why I work on gens injured but I guess I got unlucky and lost it...... ######### sake
Anyway attempt two of why I might work on gens injured:
- Not facing a strong chase killer (I.e Nurse, Spirit)
- Not a stealth killer
- Killer has Ruin
- Killer has Pop (need to get a gen done before a baby survivor goes down)
- Gen already half done
- Another survivor is there (double gen points)
- Challenges
- Perk requirements (flashbangs)
- We're getting destroyed (need to pressure the objective)
- Survivor is getting camped/tunnelling
- In a 4 man swf (information)
Annoyingly I can't remember a few I said before but aw well.
If the killer is playing badly and 3 gens are done with the killer getting very few hooks then I'll run around looking for totems, chests or looking to get into chase.

Yeah but lately ive seen survivors change in their ways to be
And especially with the door, now they all wait without giving free hits and if the killer doesnt come they wait up to the last second of EGC, cause if i had to.guess one famous streamer/Youtuber probably started this ?
And i can tell you, that on the long run it saddly gives killers less and less will to be "nice" over all (saddly even me who always plays "nice" there are many things that may change, but on this topic i feel less and less willing to.give the hatch for instance)
And the killers that slug early are just like survivors that genrush and get out asap
They play to just win and not get BP, they need to sweat and tryhard, yet they are also the first to come on the forums and complain the grind is too big and they dont receive any BP lol
I always wait till the last second if it means I can get another WGLF stack. It's unfun I get that, especially if a killer gets beaten badly and they just want the game to end. Thing is though they have an easy BP increasing perk (BBQ) and sometimes this is the only way I can get my stacks.
I don't think it makes people play "less nice" tbh. If people aren't t-bagging I don't consider waiting at the gates to be toxic.
I don't understand people who "gen rush" I always want to double gen for points and cleanse totems/get in chase for boldness points. Same way as I never get a 4 man slug at 5/4/3 gens. I will say though people need to be careful of what they consider survivors "gen rushing". If you've played bad and all 5 gens are done in 6 minutes then that's not gen rushing.
-
I remember only liking the tier 70 charm and the level 4 one. After Tome 4 they started to get pretty ######### and I don't even look at them. Genuinely wouldn't be able to tell you what the archives/tier 70 charms have been the last 9 months.
Then add to that all the ######### charms no one wanted. I love bringing this up but remember the survey we answered between Tome 2 and 3? Asking about what we'd like in the rift?! Nah me neither I guess πππ

I think this is good advice in general, but bad advice for DBD. The gameplay experience is really, really different if you have 5K hours vs 5. If you watch streamers, you come away with the idea that the game is pretty easy and relaxed, but you don't realize that that's because the streamers are among the top 2% of players, and it's virtually impossible to bully them, and they have such an advantage over most people they vs that they can afford to mess around and do silly things. If you're in the bottom 50% of players -- which is half of all players -- it's a totally different thing, especially when the matchmaking feeds you to people in the top 2%.
I mean more in terms of the type of game it is. I do agree that it will give you a false sense of how the game is played at different ranks but at least you see the gameplay.
Maybe I'm just ultra safe but if I'm buying a multiplayer game it's one that I've watched a decent bit of before so I don't waste my money.
-
Ngl I brought this map as often as I could before it was changed so if I can I'll being it. Not because I want to bully the killer or anything, I've just always liked the map.
I haven't done it recently though because I've been too focused on getting points instead.

Waiting at the door when everyone is there just to do some teabag or leave when the killer comes without offering a hit, it may be seen as toxic, if not at least very rude.
And i dont understand this need to waste everyones time, especially when one team had it easy on the other
(The same goes for killers that slugs at 5 gens/0hooks to win instantly and then leaves the survivors to bleed out)
Top paragraph completely true. If I'm waiting I usually give a free hit.
As I said in a different reply on this thread that I wait at doors to get some WGLF stacks. I don't care if it's literally for only 1 stack, I'll happily wait as long as I need.
I don't get 4 man slugging at 5 gens either. I play for points so that makes no sense to me.

If you make the maps smaller, the problem of density would come up: if the map is a lot smaller, doing nothing but chaining tons of pallets close to each other and running away would be extremely easy or, if they reduced pallets, there might not be enough pallets to consider the map balanced. I just think thatβs not a good idea, as itβs going around the issue rather than addressing it from here-on.
I just think of the fact Coal Tower is considered the most balanced map in the game with it also being the smallest says a lot.
Chaining loops is easier yes but in theory that survivor is more likely to sandbag another survivor on a gen.
-
Make maps smaller is the only thing you can do.
If maps are smaller then a survivor holding W will eventually lead you to a gen a survivor is on.

I was playing a match as killer and I went to kick the generator. I didn't get blinded, and the person that set the blast mine was hiding around the corner. Thanks to Lightborn I knew exactly where they were and made a beeline for them. They probably thought I was hacking! LOL
That's pretty funny lol
-
This is a lesson to people.
Before buying a game, do some research first. Watch a few Twitch/YouTube videos and see if it is the sort of game you'd like.
-
I'm a Bubba main but ngl I actually don't mind this. Will hurt campers and not really hurt any good Bubba players.
You very, very rarely get more than 1 hit with the chainsaw while using it (extremely rare) so this wouldn't be that big of a nerf.
Also your right, I did think of the blood thing and was wondering what you were going to suggest lol
-
I never thought about this.
It's kinda weird that I've pretty much run a flashlight every single game this weekend and flashbangs, yet I've not seen 1 Lightborn lol

You get BP, but it's detrimental to the killer. It's just not worth the killer's time. I've also seen many survivors getting screwed out of a hatch escape (they were being chased) because the rest refused to go. If the gate's open, leave.
If the last survivor isn't safe I'm not waiting at the door.
- If I'm 2nd last survivor and injured I run out.
- If I'm the 2nd last survivor and full health I'm going to try and help.
- Multiple survivors left then I'm getting healed then helping.
No matter what I do it's detrimental to the killer. If I don't let him hook me then it's detrimental to him, if I don't get hit it's detrimental to him etc..
I go into games hoping to escape with the most points possible, and I will do it by any means. If I'm not bringing an extra meta perk like Unbreakable, Spine Chill, Adrenaline or Decisive Strike then I'm definitely getting a few extra stacks if I can.

Waiting at the doors as all remaining survivors and then teebag or just waiting there to annoy the killer has no reason. As i said "If you leave no one behind". Its just toxic
Waiting at the door can have a reason and not be toxic (so long as they aren't t-bagging).
I for example wait at the gate if another survivor is with me. This is because I usually run We're Gonna Lie Forever. I wait because I want to take protection hits so I can get extra bloodpoints.
