You are about 2/3 days too late, this has been all over reddit and the forums and been discussed to oblivion about difficult and RNG based some of the challenges are.
Fair enough. I hadn't seen much on Reddit about it, and I don't often come on the forums here anymore. Still worth a shot ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Then bhvr decides to go and pay for the flipping TERMINATOR...for Deathgarden?... -__-That's a pretty big slap in the face. We just got Legion and it's seeming very likely that the next chapter is original as well...
No offense to the devs the new chapters have been cool but cmon...DbD could've used Terminator...ugh...

I personally like the original chapters, but I get what you're saying. I believe that they wanted to do a year of original stuff at least. That's what their roadmap was anyway. I think we have more of a chance for licensed chapters after this next one.

Just because people are better with a controller, doesn't mean that the skillcap is higher. You can only get so far with a controller. kB+m would give a massive movement advantage on Console when the baseline and skillcap are different than on PC.

Captain is right, every survivor has the same hitbox. The male characters only look bigger. For some reason I never have this problem playing as Dwight, but all the other male characters do feel very awkward to move with.
My guess would be that Dwight has the least bulky model

Because we already have a perk that gives a 100% chance of unhooking ourselves... if ya wanna get off the hook just use deliverance... slippery meat should effect... getting out of traps, madness....... clowns hindered effect? Maybe BP towards survival? But Deliverance is also a DLC perk, where Slippery Meat is not.

The best way to deal with camping killers is to not get caught, and don't let it get to you. If you know how much it bothers you, thats just feeding them. Alternately, if you aren't the one being camped, rush those gens! They won't camp once they aren't getting good returns from it. If you try to go for the camped survivor, they just get more points, and are more likely to pip.

The hitbox is different for each character, but I find 360’s easiest as Dwight. The hitbox is not different for each character. In fact, the hitbox for all survivors is the same. Male characters just appear larger because their models are larger, and animations are more accentuated.

I suppose this is why Deliverance and Slippery Meat exist they way they do. I used to run Slippery Meat and Up The Ante to just get constant kobe's
-
@DemonDaddy said:
Why? Sb already exists and this would make chases unbearable considering you can get 2 gens to pop without a speed boost.Balanced Landing and Lithe exist too. What's your point? Survivors are also known to just hold onto exhaustion so they can use SB in the middle of a chase.

I have perk Alert (shows killer after breaking a pallet or gen) and Dark Sense (shows killer after repairing a gen) but when it's Freddy or Myers, I don't see them.Tier 1 Myers cannot be detected by any detection perk. If you read his power, you would know this.

And Freddy cannot be detected cause he is invisible (in a sense he is in another world)
If you are asleep you will see himTo be fair, though, the perks still activate against Freddy, but they don't show him unless you're in the dreamworld

I cannot comprehend how anyone would call those addon ideas for Hillbilly or Leatherface anything but bad. Most of those 60 seconds of brokenness is spent lying on the floor, being transported to and hanging from a hook. You nerf his ability way too much for such a bad effect, and ADDITIONALLY you reduce movement speed....
Leatherface wwould be smarter to just kick the pallet if his charge time gets increased. Also: movement speed.
I know you said you didnt take much time to consider these addons, but theyre seriously underpowered or actually detrimental to use.
I'd love to hear your suggestions then!

I feel like the base game (when you first buy the game, without any perks) could use it's own sprint perk. If not, then I feel like this perk would be good anyway. -

Thats exactly the reason why there is no button to activate sprintburst, it would be OPBut you activate SB by sprinting... that's a button used to activate it. This perk is basically the same as throwing down a pallet and using Lithe over it. How is that OP?

Eh. See I want to like it, but it would make Enduring + Spirit Fury almost completely uselessWell, it would only activate once in a chase, since there's exhaustion. But I do see where you're coming from

For awhile I was playing a pretty good endgame Wraith build that had Fire Up, Brutal Strength, and Blood Warden. I suppose it's really a ramp-up build that shuts down loops, especially endgame.

The Nurse add-on makes her basically a Hag. Maybe if it was in addition to her normal power it would be good but if she couldn't blink like normal I feel like this would hurt more than help.I think a better pink add-on for Nurse would be to make her blinks silent, or at least they can only be heard within close range.
Oooh, that could be good. Like removing her screech or something like that?
@HatCreature said:
Very well done, also I love that you didn't cop out and give Leatherface and Billy the same effect. You really narrowed down the real difference between the two, giving Leatherface a sprint even after the palletbreak is HUGE, same goes for Billy with no sound, if the Survivor isn't paying attention they'll get cut down and this can also make sniper shots possible.Yeah, I tried to make Billy synergize with his perks more. I think it would be pretty freakin scary for a billy to come out of nowhere just as you're about to finish a gen.

I really like all of them, Really well balanced.
Intresting concept, "Philip's Whisper". Like a save point, cool.I tried to make all of them change how the killer is played a little, since thats what the good Ultra Rare's do! In my head, the "save points" showed up for the Nurse like the littler marker you get with the Flannel addon.

I strongly believe that it was also Vigo doing the experimentation on the killers this past Halloween event.

Hmm, if you want, DaVinci Resolve is a free, very nice editing software

I still don't understand why bloodhound got built in to wraith's kitIt kinda isn't anymore. You have to be using a particular addon in order to see blood stains more brightly on Wraith, and even then it's only while cloaked still.

Gens have already been slowed since launch, and many perks have been added to slow gens. Hell, we used to not be able to kick gens.
As far as secondary objectives go, they don't really do a whole lot. Chests and totems don't really do anything to slow gameplay other than when they're directly effected by something else. What we need is not more optional objectives, but alternate objectives. For example, generators are easy to repair, but take a long time (or at least they do for the sake of this example). An alternate objective could be something that's relatively fast to do, but much harder, or something easy, but much slower. Making survivors evaluate a risk/reward for each objective in game, all while not being able to really communicate (if they aren't SWF), will help increase gametime.
For example, perhaps in a game there are 3 choices: do gens, run around the entire course of the map 15 times uninterrupted, or get everyone to the basement to do a ritual that requires all players, a bunch of perfect skillchecks, and trick the killer into coming down there. Each has its upsides and downsides, and each has its own strenghts and weaknesses, but the addition of choice is what adds time.

@CaptainXymActually, Dying Light does not affect exit gates.
Either way, it's good with Remember Me and some of Freddy's addons

When you run dying light you are also supposed to be running Ivory mori. You're not Supposed to combo it with anything, but you can.
Once again, it's not fun to be hounded down and instant killed, wasting your time and power bill while essentially dooming the lobby to failure. Nor is it as a killer to waste a perk slot in the event the Obsession avoids you all match.
It's lackluster and needs reworked.
You're supposed to combo it with Myers. His perks and addons synergize really well together. You stack hit cooldown with Save the Best for Last, get a speed boost from Play With Your Food, and use a Tombstone type addon to kill your Obsession, giving you Dying Light. It all works well together as Myers.
Alternately though, it does work well with other killers too with a Mori, or some other way to kill off a survivor, like Rancor or Devour Hope. This is especially true with Freddy, since his perks are very endgame. Stacking Remember Me and Dying Light slows exit gates dramatically.
Being hunted down has always been a big part of Obsession perks. Usually the Obsession is someone using Obsession perks themselves, which is the point of the whole thing. It's a lot of risk/reward.

Someone should probably let you know that while your idea is not necessarily terrible, the perk's name is Sole Survivor. That's as in, the perk is protecting only one survivor and not anyone or anything else. Though, it should be protecting that one survivor a little better than it is now...I agree. Perhaps add a small action speed or move speed bonus. E.g. 1 dead: 1% move speed up, 2 dead: 2% move speed up, 3 dead: 3% move speed up. It may not seem like a lot, but even a little like that can be a lifesaver. That would also make it synergize with Left Behind more, a pretty underused perk.
-
Perhaps they could make their fatigue look down more, similar to Nurse. That would give players the ability to hide a little easier after a hit. Possibly increase the fatigue timer a little too. To contrast this, perhaps reward fully recharging Frenzy by adding another second or two to it.
¯_(ツ)_/¯

I agree on everything but Devour Hope. You should not be guaranteed a free Devour Hope, especially since the change you propose would also make Haunted Ground only appear when the exposed effect is obtained. Pretty much removes the counterplay of this Hex perk. It should be lit at one token like the others. It doesn't deserve special treatment. This is fair. Devour Hope could be an exception to the rule, stating so in its flavor text, similar to what NOED does. Or, are you saying Devour should be lit at first token gain? Either way, both are good ideas. I'm always open to discussion.
It should be lit at first token gained. It's until the first survivor is hooked, which makes it solve the "find it within 10 seconds of the game starting" problem without causing survivors to have to scramble around trying to frantically find a Devour Hope that got 3 tokens already. Devour Hope is a huge gamechanger if you can get the tokens needed, so there should be some risk in taking it even with this QoL change.
Ahh, I understand you better now. I can agree with that!

Yep. Matches perfectly with October. I'm honestly surprised they have something planned so close to a big release.
-
I agree. The Thing is a superb horror movie, and I would love to see it implemented in the game. It's just a matter of licensing and development of powers and all that.
-
Well think about it. 1% per prestige adds up. There are 14 survivors and 13 killers, and each has 3 prestiges. If you prestige every character, that's 27 * 3 = 81% bonus BP. Its minimal if you don't play much, but for people who pump in a lot of time, it reduces the grind a bit.DeadByFlashlight said:Yes prestiging should give slightly more rewards, but 1% extra BP is not the way to go if you ask me (neglectable anyway)
-
But isn't it already something you need to grind for? It's both really. You have to grind for it, but it is optional to do. Giving incentive to prestige would just make it more useful for players who have thousands of hours in the game.Wolf74 said:Prestiging should stay optional and not become another thing you have to grind for.

Yeah! Even just that would be way better than the basically nothing we get now for prestiging.jmaximo93 said:I would love to have set bonuses. For example, 1% if you wear 1 prestige part, 3% for 2, 5% if you wear all 3.
