  • Today is the day. I can't wait to see how many bingos I'll score with this sheet.

I thought this was gonna be a thread to ######### on Meg mains. They're... an interesting breed indeed.

How does one breed a Meg main?

  • Good luck to you! By the way here's an inverted color version, that one might use up less printer color.

I'm going to be upset if Mcote doesn't say his iconic catchphrase. I miss seeing him in streams.

You know, I should allow others to create their own modifications of this sheet just to see who'll get more bingos.

Which field would you replace for his iconic line? I think we did a pretty good job so far.

  • You really should do it, I'll definitely keep track of my sheet tomorrow.

I think our chances at getting one or maybe even two bingos are quite high.

I want to smooch that Plague. Such a pretty model, it's too bad skemooo never shared it.

This game feels horrible for new survivors.

This game feels horrible for solo queue survivors.

    See? I won.

The game feels horrible for everyone. There, I won.

  • I wouldn't mind some indie crossovers for legendary skins, take Puppet Combo for instance. His ps1 styled horror games are heavily influenced by classic slasher movies. The psycho from "The Power Drill Massacre" or the Easter Ripper from "The Murder House" would be amazing additions to DbD.

Just look these games up, it's abolutely worth it. The gameplay in these titles is absolutely terrifying.

  • Now I don't know why that one comment got deleted (someone was talking about the anniversary stream and how DbD Mobile would get some significant changes) but apparently that game still has CoH at 100% bonus healing speed. That's just plain insane. Do they really think killers want to play against THAT?

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/323592/the-new-player-experience-is-apparently-equally-awful-on-mobile

Regarding bots they’re in the mobile version, I’ve played multiple games against them. Just set up a custom match and then as you do it you can set it up with bots in some or all of the other player spots. Also if a player disconnects on mobile a bot takes their place.

The only reason I don’t play mobile DbD is the controls for killer are really frustrating. If it weren’t for that I’d play it.

I don't see how playing in a custom gamemode will help, though, since it doesn't count as progress to any of the rituals or leveling I assume. How am I going to get perks and perkslots without enduring constant curbstomps from overleveled survivors?

  • @Chilli_man2400 said:

quick question did you play on autohaven by any chance? Cause I heard they removed the bus from the mobile version cause it was to strong.

I was playing on Lery's, I was surprised to see the reworked version of the map on there. I actually expected to see some older map designs. I wasn't able to check out Autohaven but the rumor about the missing bus might be true.

  • Like I alread mentioned on your YouTube video, Nemesis really got done dirty by BHVR. He's too small (despite being the tallest killer in DbD) and simply lacks the proper representation when it comes to his iconic move arsenal. Zombies as a stage hazard would have made sense on RPD but as a power it's simply questionable. Nemesis is a lone-wolf, he doesn't work with zombies.

I'd love to see a rocket launcher for him as something he can maybe pick up or build from gathering lootcases which survivors can sabotage or move to slow down his inevitable powerspike. I also hate how they gave every single uninfected survivor a third health state basically when he tries to use his tentacle, it's simply too much in a game that's already dominated by survivors.

  • Good gameplay. It's silly how Lisa was able to hit you with Decisive Strike despite you already hooking someone else before, they really need to disable the perk for that. How are you even "tunneling" them if you're busy sacrificing other survivors?

  • @Lost_Boy said:

I tried it when I was working away from home recently and uninstalled it after a few days. As you mentioned the match making is absolutely awful. I had the exact same experience. One yellow perk as a killer and constantly matched against full tier 3 perked teams. It's also clunky as hell & I could feel my thumbs aching after a few games.

I guess if they offered controller support it would be a much better experience. Funny thing is that it's perfectly acceptable to have keyboard & mouse players matched against console, which gives a massive advantage, yet they don't want to create a advantage on mobile by giving controller support. Double standards.

Another thing I noticed is that you can barely mind game a loops. Even slow vaults back & forth seem to be very hard to catch as a killer.

I guess the population is pretty small & they struggle to find killers to match against experienced players so they just throw in first timers to keep queue times down. It's also just as toxic as playing the real game and I'm guessing there are people out there that take it seriously enough to actually go out their way to set up some kinda emulator to play it on PC and gain a huge advantage.

You're spot-on about the controls, I can't see how anyone could properly play this game with just touch-controls alone. Maybe my hands are too big or I get cramps too easily from holding the phone like that but I definitely would prefer support for third party control devices. But as long as the matchmaking remains this awful I simply see no reason in ever returning to the mobile version.

I'm perfectly fine with her gameplay whise. I used to main her and I love playing her, but I had to stop because it made the grind even worse.

Her BP gain truly is atrocious, THATS what they need to fix.

She still has a place in my heart and u use her when I just want to have fun and watch everyone in the room vomit compulsively.

Yeah, her bp income is truly abyssmal; this is also reflected by her bad emblemscoring. I don't get why this was never addressed by BHVR, this issue has been around since her release.

Sounds sweet. Got a link to that?

  • @ThatOneDemoPlayer said:

With how much Survivors hate the new Legion, giving Killer players any reason to play Plague (Legion but actually really good) would kill the game lmao

They'd need to fix her bad hit detection first, the switch to dedicated servers really screwed her over. Her puke particles can quite literally touch survivors (and they will also scream) but the game won't register it as an actual hit or infection. Just that one issue alone is enough to cost her valuable seconds during a chase.

  • @Zozzy said:

That isn't the plague. Where is the rot?

It's Adiris without the disease. I pretty much made this model edit myself by combining various aspects from her gamefiles.

The face for instance is from her tome model, the body has the same proportions as her ingame one with the exception that it's healthy of course. That's also why her outfit fits her perfectly. This is basically what she'd look like if BHVR gave us a fully healthy Adiris skin.

  • I only play as Joey. Suzie is definitely overrated.

  • Does anyone remember the previous anniversary streams and the stuff they promised in them? Like only half of these things ever get done, that's not a good quota at all. They either delay or scrap projects entirely.

  • I do the exact same thing on Trapper. He's simply too weak to stand a chance, at least he can excel at defending the basement. It's too bad Dead Hard still invalidates his traps entirely since survivors can dash through them. They absolutely need to address this exploit in the DH rework.

  • I don't understand why people are whining over Legion, their gameplay remains completely unchanged. The rework merely gave them a hard to archieve gimmick (the 5th hit being a down during Feral Frenzy), that's pretty much it. They still struggle with securing downs as long as people can make use of looping.

  • If you ask me they should disable/remove all licensed maps from the game, there isn't a single one among them which isn't survivor sided.

Name ONE licensed map which is in the slightest fair to killers, you cannot.

Gideon Meat Plant? Pallet town. Springwood? Preschool building is an infinite loop. Haddonfield? Every house contains an infinite loop or godpallet. RPD? Absolute hell to navigate in, sheer misery inducing. Midwich? Press W to win, killers can be seen from miles away due to how long the corridors are.

  • I have a whole different issue, the music randomly cuts off ingame and then resumes. This only happens during trials.

  • aftergame chat.png

This is the kind of thing you have to put up with as a killer. Relentless bullying if you show any weakness at all.

  • I sincerely hope her chase theme will be half as good as this one by Jon Rob.

    https://youtu.be/wyk4a8tq31E

  • Here's a screencap from 2018, I assume this was my first match as Trapper after waiting close to half an hour to get into a lobby back then.

    2018.png

Definitely not a fun experience. Queue times at least have gotten better since then.

  • I'd say licensed characters are an exception to that rule. I guess they had a far easier time negotiating with the owners of the Ghostface mask, also Ghostie is pretty much a half-original character at that point.

  • The map still feels very much survivor sided. I only managed to get a single kill as Sadako on there and that was thanks to NOED. But maybe that's mostly related to how extremely weak Sadako is right now.

  • She's literally unplayable against survivors with thousands of hours of experience. Throughout this game I only managed to get 2 hooks before the final gen popped. My slowdown via Sloppy Butcher and Tinkerer/Call of Brine didn't make a difference.

    unwinnable game.png

They all had extremely sweaty builds which made it pretty much impossible to hook them, the nonstop flashlight harassment was unbearable as well. Sadako is in immediate need of drastic buffs.

  • @EntityNea said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/321174/sadako-desperately-needs-some-buffs

Every time a new killer is released, there's people who want them buffed.

    Ask yourself these things first:

    • How much have I played this killer?
    • Is there anything about my play style I can improve?
    • Would practicing more make me better?
    • Does this killer's abilities "click" with me?

Like, all I'm saying is that I'd like to see people give killers more time before requesting buffs. When something is entirely new, it's going to be more difficult for a while when playing against people who's been using the same stuff for years (because survivor basic playstyle stays the same so they have already perfected how they play it).

This killer has been out since 3 months now, I've played her many times since then and even grinded her to prestige 3 level 50. She stands no chance against experienced players who actually have map awareness or a decent pair of headphones. She objectively needs buffs, her handicaps are far too numerous.

  • @Chocolate_Cosmos said:

Pig would like to have a call with you...

But yes, she is weak, needs buff.

Pig at least can get kills by going afk in front one of her boxes, I wish Sadako had it as easy as her.

  • How are people even struggling with a killer who has no way to deal with loops while being denied their power with the simple press of the E button? And don't get me started on the ridiculous requirement to score 5 hits during their Frenzy for the chance at an instadown while survivors are split up across the map, that's just plain impossible.

  • Same here, I still see survivors bring it into trials just to abuse its aura effect on multi-layered maps. It's quite disgusting really.

  • My biggest gripe with the game has to be decline in technical performance; back in 2018 when I started playing I had no issues with framedrops, freezing or any similiar stuff like that. Fast forward to 2022 after several visual updates and these issues have become the new norm. Whatever the system requirements on their Steam page say, they're definitely outdated.

I wish they'd try to make the game more accessable instead of crippling their potential playerpool by making the game more and more demanding in these areas. League of Legends for instance still can be played on a potato, DbD meanwhile requires a fullblown gaming pc just to properly run.

If anything's going to make me stop playing Dead By Daylight it's definitely this aspect.

  • tfw swf.png

What it feels like after enduring a SWF all with Dead Hard and CoH equipped.

  • All it takes is one person bringing CoH into the trial and that map becomes literally unwinnable. The worst possible totem spot has to be the top level of the library which is an extreme pain in the ass to break, it's simply not worth wasting your time to get up there.

  • Legion can put people into injured state as easily and yet they're regarded as one of the weakest killers in the game. Plague is pretty much the same since she has no power if survivors refuse to cleanse. Also since quite literally EVERYONE is running Dead Hard it's like they still have two health states. Infact survivors genrush even harder against her since they won't bother healing anyway.

Dedicated servers pretty much put the final nail into her coffin by removing the skill aspect and turning her puke validation into a matter of sheer luck. Eiter the game registers your projectile or it doesn't, that's pretty much it. Just missing your Corrupt Purge once can lead to devastating time losses.

  • Enjoy the show? He isn't known for harming fans during a concert. The backpass might be dangerous but even that is no guarantee he'll do anything to you at a location which would incriminate him this easily. He usually does his nasty stuff at derelict places which would require him to either lure you or take you away. As long as you don't fall for his scheme he can't kill you. So don't accept any drinks from him which could be possibly spiked or at least pay attention to your friend if they should take one.

  • Ghostface can infinitely use his power, though. Myers is bound to run out of sources to extract for his power. Also Ghostface's size as well as ability to crouch make him better at sneaking up to survivors. I like to play him as a bootleg Jumpscare Myers; he can get in some really nice gengrabs, too.

  • Pinhead is unplayable garbage, they expect you to hit a Nurse tier skillshot to apply the equivalent of a Clown bottle slowdown while making you stand still. It's simply bad and trying to hit it from greater distance has no effect whatsoever since they'll be already free the moment you catch up. His red addon (Engineer's Fang) should be basekit on him, anything else would be a joke. He has no actual chase potential and his gimmick gets constantly denied by survivors who go solve his box.

I only play him with NOED equipped, anything else is just asking to lose the game.

I already feel they're overrated. So I honestly don't care what they do with boons.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2863488#Comment_2863488

No, because every killer will just dodge swf's. Que times would become an absolute nightmare. They need to close the swf/solo gap and buff killers accordingly.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2863686#Comment_2863686

That is more than a little over dramatic. The perk itself isn't the issue. The way it interacts with swf's is.

They do intend to bring solo survivors up to the level of SWFs by implementing a way to convey information via activity icons which is going to make the game even worse for killers since they still won't receive any compensation buffs. Survivors will be able to genrush far more efficiently the moment another survivor tells their team that they're keeping the killer busy.

Yes but the RE games are not that demanding and you have to remember they are scripted so can be well optimised very easily. They were never very demanding and I remember playing RE7 on my GTX970 at 1440p (using DSR at the time) with no problems.

You have to remember that DBD has had a graphical upgrade since it was released, as hardware has improved dramatically since 2016. The UE4 engine it runs on was never kind to weaker hardware but at some point the game needed to update its look (whether you like the aesthetic decisions or not) to keep up with next gen consoles etc.

Yes of course you can upgrade your graphics card using older motherboard chipsets, the only thing to watch out for is that you aren't buying a GPU that is too powerful for your CPU, otherwise it is just wasted money. But even then it wont hurt, it just isn't good value.

I assume this CPU should be able to work with a 6 GB VRAM card? Or should I rather stick with a 4 GB VRAM one? I'll do some shopping tomorrow and I'd appreciate any recommendations.

2G of VRAM? What GPU are we talking about here?

I currently have a Nvidia GeForce GTX 1050 which came with my computer.

  • @MaTtRoSiTy said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2863513#Comment_2863513

I never once mentioned 2022 technology, I also said the game is not well optimised at all (I have a 5800x and 3080Ti and also get bad FPS drops on maps like RPD for example). However any graphics card with only 2GB of VRAM is very out of date and will struggle in many games, not just DBD. I can't think of a recent 2GB GPU so I assume it is something really old like a GTX 950 or something REALLY bad like a 1030.

The OP can still upgrade their GPU with something from the used market and if they are still on a card with 2GB of VRAM then pretty much anything fairly recent will be an upgrade.

FPS drops happen to all of us no matter how strong your PC is but you can at least get a fairly good experience with a newer card with more than 2GB VRAM as 2GB just doesn't cut it and hasn't really for years now.

To be fair, my 2 GB VRAM card (Nvidia GeForce GTX 1050) was able to play RE7 and the RE2+3 remakes with no issues. So I'm quite confused why a game from 2016 (DbD) is causing such issues, the game simply has to be extremely unoptimized.

I'm currently looking into upgrade options but I'm not sure if they will work. I assume a DDR3 mainboard would still run with modern graphics cards (GDDR5/6) as long as the thing fits in there?

  • @Tiufal said:

I dont know whats you problem. My mainboard is DDR3 and its like 5 years old, i have just 8GB RAM, my GPU is just a 1050ti and the game runs well on high setting at 55-60 fps. just some drops and freezes from time to time, buts thats most likely cause my CPU runs at 100% at those times, cause its old too. its fairly playable like 95% of the time.

Well I can see what's going on, your graphics card has twice as much VRAM (4 GB instead of 2 GB), that makes a huge difference.

  • Objectively awful. The devs clearly shot themselves in the foot with Dead Hard and CoH, there's no way to overcome these perks as a killer. The map design seems to get worse with every single release as well, it's just nonstop survivor sided structures with extremely safe pallets and strong loops.

  • @CashelP14 said:

Hackers are a massive problem in many games. Unfortunately if big AAA companies can't stop hackers, then dbd won't be able to.

On a side note I got accused of cheating a week ago. I play on console so I find it funny that I got accused lol

Hackers can trick the game into thinking they're playing on another platform, so having a globe next to your name doesn't mean you're cleared of any suspicions.
