  • This is what happens if you bring an anniversary cake: survivors who will abuse infinite loops, Dead Hard and genrushing. Not a single hook, no BBQ stacks, simply nothing. Just plain suffering and humiliation. Anyone wanna tell me why I shouldn't camp every single survivor for the rest of the day as retaliation for this disgrace?

    unplayable.png

  • I made a thread about this in the bug section some time ago and still haven't received a single response or acknowledgement. Good to know I'm not the only one who has experienced this strange issue.

  • The cheating is off the charts in this game, I just had some survivors noclip through a locked exit gate RIGHT IN FRONT OF ME. I wasn't able to hook any of them either, all I could do was secure one down and kill via Rancor.

    cheaters.png

  • Plague needs better hit validation for her puke projectiles, survivors scream but still don't get infected.

  • I bring an anniversary cake and these guys proceed to genrush like crazy. It took me 3 gens to get my first hook, in total I only was able to get 2 hooks before the final gen popped. One more down during endgame and the obvious SWF assault for the perfect 4 man escape + bodyblock squad + DH to exit gate. All of this while they had CoH up for most of the game in a remote location of the map devoid of any generators. This is unplayable. The only reason I even managed to score any bp was due to playing a killer who heavily rewards you for hitting his power.

    miserable.png

Dead Hard is a plight which needs to be taken care of immediately.

  • Frank West definitely has great crossover potential, he's as wacky as Ash and equally stubborn and hard to kill. I could easily see him as a survivor in DbD.

  • I'd welcome a DIO skin for Trickster since he already throws knives. Another neat JoJo crossover would be Kira Yoshikage as a standalone killer (there are some killer-concepts for him out there) or as a legendary skin for Clown since he likes to collect fingers (in Kira's case it's the entire hand, though).

  • @Tsulan said:

Tbh, who can blame killers for not wanting to play killer? Survivors trash talk and haunt them on their profiles. To tell them what terrible human beings they are, for daring to play killer. Or they tell them to uninstall and play minecraft.

Then, when they actually do as advised...

Don't you love it when these same survivors turn out to have private or restricted profiles with former VAC ban notifications? Hypocrisy at its finest.

  • The secret to CoH is to only use it at a spot where the killer doesn't want to be, for instance next to a finished generator or in some remote corner devoid of objectives. All these smart/coordinated teams know that and they always make sure to run off to their little safezone which makes it a lose-lose situation for the killer if they decide to chase and/or stomp out the totem. Few moments later it's back up again and the gens are still flying.

Really, all it takes to break this game is ONE decent survivor to set up his CoH totem in a good spot and the others will swarm to it. That's how busted the perk is.

  • Aaand this is what happens if there's only a single DH user in the game.

    swamp map.png

There simply can be no middleground in this game, it's stomp or be stomped. To be fair, I only went for healthy survivors out of fear of encountering DH in the first place and it luckily worked out for me. Since Fearmonger was pretty much worthless I went with NOED as a backup-plan, didn't need it this time however.

So i can't play dbd in the mornings anymore cuz i've been busy, i can only play in the evenings. So i sit down to play some survivor in the evenings (cuz i don't wanna deal with the stress of playing killer) and man those queue times are a joke, having to wait an average of 5 mins to find a match is so boring. I'm on the Asia server. So i'm often forced to close dbd and play something else. Thanks Behavior for trashing the killer experience so much that there are rarely any killers left to entertain your beloved survivors. The COH nerf and Legion buff were just desperation moves to bring your killer players back, but it certainly isn't enough lol.

CoH is still overpowered if used by smart teams/SWFs and Dead Hard pretty much makes the game unplayable for any m1 killer. Gentimes in general are far too short, all it takes is 2 people being genjockeys to finish all five of them in just 5 minutes while two other survivors waste the killer's time with broken map design, bodyblocking and nonstop DH abuse. The killer experience is downright miserable.

  • This is bordering on unplayable, it's just rampant DH abuse in every single game. Fearmonger's real value is very minimal as well, all I can do is try to score instadowns while they're healthy but afterwards it gets extremely hard to get ANYTHING done. While they're injured, survivors can simply cheat you out of your deserved down. This constant perk abuse makes playing "fair" pretty much impossible. You NEED to camp or else you will get no kills.

  • Mikaela Reid. She deserves to burn in hell for giving us boon totems as a mechanic, mostly Circle of Healing.

  • I just hope licensed characters will be considered for this special reward. If it's not a skin or charm then it'll probably be a menu-border or icon which highlights your dedication to the character in front of others. Surely you wouldn't need an okay from the license holders for that type of thing?

  • And then there are the survivors who will simply taunt and disrespect you despite being kind to them. Those are the worst.

  • I wonder, did you ever play Umbrella or Darkside Chronicles? You know, these railshooter spinoffs which actually contained some lore relevant stuff and retcons. It's quite interesting how Nemesis and all of the tyrants originally were clones of Sergei Vladimir, the right hand of Spencer and Wesker's former superior in the organization.

You already know how I feel about Nemesis and I do agree with your sentiments, they weren't able to do him justice. He needs the sprint, the rocket-launcher and a bigger model to properly represent the behemoth that he is.

  • Pinhead's possessed chains require too much effort to hit while offering no real reward. Imagine if you had to land the equivalent of a nurse tier skillshot to apply something similiar to a Clown bottle slowdown. Yeah, that's simply absurd and it doesn't even deal damage outside of a certain red addon (which should be basekit really). Like you said before, his chains break far too easily. When does it ever make sense to use them in the first place? If he uses them from a great distance they break before he even get to his target and if he uses them at short range he might as well stick to a m1 attack instead.

Pinhead's chase potential is heavily reduced just because he happens to have a gimmick (a box which spawns global chains) which gets countered most of the time anyway by someone solving the damn thing. The only good thing about him is his voice.

  • She's literally wasting time with her m2 if she could simply m1 people instead. People will abuse Dead Hard anyway, doesn't matter how they reach their injured state. Her puke apparently only exists to infect gens with, using it for anything else is literally detrimental to getting downs with her. Her infection needs to exhaust survivors otherwise there's no point to fully infecting them.

I recently decided to prestige her due to the upcoming rewards promised by BHVR, sadly I don't have any decent perks to choose from anymore. These were the best I could muster and they still couldn't help. Despite being in a 1v3 I still got genrushed to hell and mercilessly outplayed by nonstop Dead Hards... on Ormond of all places. It was absolutely painful.

This killer flatout doesn't work, none of my corrupt purge projectiles were able to hit them.

    unwinnable.png

Don't you ever tell me she's an instadown killer, as long as Dead Hard exists she's still forced to get the equivalent of 2 hits after fully infecting her targets.

This build has no gen regression. You will not win games without gen regression. Mind breaker on it's own is a worthless perk. In your other post you've gone back to your awful bamboozle build.

It seems like you don't want to learn and change your play style. Which is fine. But don't complain when you do the same bad thing and get the same bad results. Honestly after seeing how you conduct yourself in the end game chat I regret giving you any advice.

It's the other way around, these slowdown builds do not work. It's the bamboozle and NOED build which actually produces the best results. I've played other killers and none of them struggle as much as Plague does, it takes too long to infect everyone and to get them to a state when you can actually instadown them. She's a slow killer with an unreliable gimmick which misses its target half of the time.

You have NO idea what I have to endure in the aftergame-chat, don't even try to judge me on my conduct. I'm not the aggressor here.

Matchmaking is working correctly for you. Sure, the first couple of games you were getting curb-stomped, which would make sense if you played a different killer at high levels, which it looks like you do, since you're getting a lot of meta perks.

However, if you look at your last few games, you're getting about a 45% kill rate. I bet if you kept play some more, you'll be at a 50% kill rate in no time...

    https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/IQZPIR7EOOGX/image.png

I'm not sure how you're getting a 45% winrate out of these matches, there were so many 0Ks in there and only a handful of 2Ks.

This is my first 4K since a long time on her and it was all thanks to basement camping and using her corrupt purge like a bootleg Bubba chainsaw. At this point I pretty much have nothing to lose but my sanity so I might as well play as dirty as possible, I see no alternative for getting kills on her. Matchmaking simply doesn't play fair.

    NOED.png

  • This isn't playable, it's just loss after loss no matter which strategy I try. Gens get done so fast, I can't even get more than a hook before they finish their objective. Matchmaking doesn't even bother to adapt, it's quite literally nonexistent. How the hell am I supposed to enjoy playing this killer if she constantly gets bullied?

    toxic bullysquad.png

  • So I watched the crossover movie (Sadako vs Kayako) not so long ago and according to that Sadako's curse kills people after two days, not seven. I assume the seven days are just for the western adaption of these movies? Why restrict her to seven stacks of condemnation then?

You act like there has been never any hitbox or projectile inconcisencys in the game. Idk if you are new to this game or just trolling but there are other Killers who suffer from even worse issues for much longer time.

Also yes you exaggerate by saying she is unplayable.

I said "borderline unplayable". If her mainpower is this inconsistent at doing its job then you're stuck with a half-functioning killer who only can rely on m1 attacks. Might as well play Legion instead, at least they can get people injured right away. Also which killers did you have in mind with similiar hitbox issues?

I had some luck running this build (last survivor got hatch). Very long endgame though, but good gen control. Infecting the gen and then kicking with the combo of Overcharge + Call of Brine makes for an interesting survivor dilemma.

The kind of survivors I play with pretty much hit all their skillchecks, the last time anyone fell for Overcharge's effect was like half a year ago. Call of Brine still is a good perk, though. I don't see how Oppression synergizes with these perks however. As far as I know it doesn't transfer the effects of other perks onto other regressing gens. Also Trail of Torment is really weak due to its very high cooldown (60 secs at tier 3), they seriously need to buff it.

  • @BenZ0 said:

You are pissed we get it but can you stop with the extreme exaggeration? Idk seems just cringe to me

Where did I exaggerate? Plague has real issues with her hit detection, that's a fact. Imagine if you missed your projectile at a crucial moment of the match, one that could decide between you snowballing or completely losing your momentum. That's how devastating this issue is.

  • @Aneurysm said:

Why don't you post a video of your gameplay here and other people who play plague may be able to give some suggestions?

I doubt my rig could even support that. My CPU is so outdated that it occasionaly leads to lag/framedrops and ingame-sound cutting off entirely. I can't imagine how much worse my performance would get if I tried running a recording tool on top of that. I'm already playing at low settings, too.

  • You're missing the point. If it takes 3-4 gens to get the first down then I have no other choice but to camp since they clearly genrushed. The low bp scores reflect this as well. Also what exactly am I supposed to do during lategame if there are no gens left to protect anyway? Camping is the only option.

  • Nemesis is actually on the weaker side, the fact that he gives every single survivor an additional health state (which can be replenished up to four times via vaccines!) really cripples his early game. It takes far too long to get him to tier 2, that's when his tentacle finally becomes useful. If you ask me his pallet breaking should be available from the start, he's just too underwhelming against competent survivors. Also the fact that you simply can duck to deny his ability entirely is another annoying aspect to his power.

  • badham.png

Another attempt, this time I tried using Thana and Corrupt on Badham. Early game was better this time but the map still massively screwed me over with its superstrong loops. Dead Hard was an extreme issue as well, simply appalling. So far I can't seem to get more than a 2K on this killer. I had to camp for these kills, too.

The worst issue in this match however was a Felix who seemingly was immune to my puke. I literally covered him with my fluids for an ENTIRE SECOND and he still remained healthy. This cannot be normal.

...You kind of lost me when you started trash-talking the survivor for doing gens, man. They didn't even bring juicy toolboxes or Prove Thyself.

If playing Plague is stressing you out this much, might be time to switch to someone else for a bit?

Trashtalking? I only gave them a reason why their mates got camped. Refusal to interact with the killer, holding m1 and ignoring teammates who might appreciate someone taking a hit for them. That person for instance didn't get into a single chase with me, they stayed invisible and only hugged their gen.

Anyway, here's another match result; this one's from RPD, quite the bad map for any killer really. At least the survivor I was talking to could share my frustration regarding that map. It took me 3 gens just to get my first hook so I resorted to proxycamping. I'm still waiting for a chance to get any value out of that build. I might need to try something else next.

    rpd.png

  • I tried using one of the suggested cheesebuilds (I love these) and only managed to get a 2K after facecamping with Corrupt Purge. Gens got done way too fast and usually survivors were gone before I could even spot them at gens. The map was the Clown one by the way, it was pretty damn large. Still a very underwhelming match outcome since I had to rely on camping to get any kills at all.

    result.png

  • Imagine if they trolled us by giving us the new Netflix Wesker.

  • Talking about RE chapter 1, here are the Nemesis issues which need to be addressed:

    1) MAKE HIM TALLER. He's supposed to be NINE feet tall, just look at the RE3 remake for reference.

    2) GIVE HIM HIS ROCKET LAUNCHER. You can easily balance by reducing the number of available rockets or the process of acquiring it in the first place. He could also root himself to use it since he does the same ingame, he doesn't move while aiming and shooting. That alone gives survivors more than enough time to go for cover.

    3) GIVE HIM HIS SPRINT. You can try to make it a mix between an Oni and Blight rush without the insane bouncing and instadowns of course.

You are playing her wrong. The hit validation is very annoying though.

I've been playing her since 3 years (from the moment she was released) and you're telling me I'm missing something about her? What exactly is there I'm doing wrong? She exists to spread her infection to enable instadowns either by committing via relentless puking or by making survivors get sick over time. Her struggle begins when it comes to finally securing the down, at that point she's simply a m1 killer without a power.

  • @Nun_So_Vile said:

She seems fine to me when I play her. I would perhaps look at some of the advice some of the other members have provided about playing her early game and snowballing it to your favor as you progress towards her mid-to-late game.

Her "early game" tends to last until the final gen pops, it's brutally hard to get hooks on her. Dropping chases to try my luck on other survivors while spreading the infection hardly makes a difference in my personal experience. Once they got the final gen done they all cleanse and it's over. Dead Hard as well as survivor sided map architecture truly screw her over, she has to munch through several pallets to get to her target. And sadly all of them are rather efficient at looping or chaining tiles. The matchmaking doesn't seem to adapt either since I still get the same tryhards in my games.

  • @Yatol said:

Just to warn you in the future, unless the survivors are using hacks, they have done nothing banable. Reporting wont do a thing, and flagging steam profiles will do even less since steam dosen't handle non vac protected games.

Harassment is very much a reportable offense, may it be on DbD or on Steam in general. I mainly mention cyberbullying in these reports.

Ah I see, you're a troll then. Well, I wish I could say it's been nice talking to you but I won't respond to any of your nonsense anymore.

  • @amazing_grace said:

If you're only getting 11,000 bp, I feel like it's more than just the killer that's the issue. She's very tricky to use, and I don't play here often because I'm not fond of her puke physics. Although, her ability to defend a hook is insane, and because of her power, you can easily hit multiple survivors at once. Her infection also gets rid of a health state for a survivor, so if the survivors don't cleanse, you essentially turned all dead hard survivors from 3 to 2 health states. Her red puke is the key to doing well as her, and once you master the angles and how it flows, you can usually steamroll the survivors.

The issue is how long it takes to get any downs in the first place. Even if I tried bringing in meta perks most of them still require you to get survivors on hooks to trigger their effects, that's the one thing I struggle to do. Plague is far too slow at what she does. Also about her bloodpoint issue, this has been a thing since day 1. No other killer makes less than her on average, her actions grant her far too few bloodpoints and instadowns pretty much reduce her potential bp income even more. She's flatout terrible at farming bloodpoints or emblems.

  • @Dead_Harder said:

I somehow doubt your definition of toxic amounts to much more than frustrating since according to you DH is the most toxic thing in game <3

Are you implying that League of Legends is a more toxic game to play? I can assure you, none of the asinity I encountered in LoL can hold a candle to the extreme bullying from the survivor community in this game.

  • @amazing_grace said:

I think a lot of your problem comes from just that plague is tricky to play and if you can't get the ball rolling, you get rolled. If you have no momentum build up, she's essentially just an M1 killer. Without her power, she can be pretty weak in chase and it's difficult to drop chase to pick up some puke sometimes. You also weren't running crazy perks and add-ons which I commend you for. The survivors all brought meta perks and just had better load outs going into the game (at least they all had med-kits). Plague definitely isn't a killer that should be claimed as weak because her snowball potential is so high.

Metaslaves pretty much make weaker killers like Plague unusable, I just can't see myself using these boring slowdown perks. I want to get in chases and exciting downs but survivors refuse to offer me anything similiar to that.

  • It doesn't matter if survivors bring medkits, it makes no difference. She can't secure kills, her power is far too unreliable and requires drastic changes to the width of each particle's hitbox.

    weak.png loss.png

I even tried bringing NOED but it hardly mattered, they break it anyway. Plague in the end has no power to rely on.

  • @Dead_Harder said:

People who claim DH is toxic is the same kind of people that claim tunneling is toxic.

Is playing the game toxic? Survivors and killers agree that it is!

I've been playing League of Legends from 2013 to 2018 when I decided to switch to DbD as my maingame and I can say with great certainty that this game has the most toxic community of any videogame out there.

  • @GoodBoyKaru said:

Hi can I get an uhh source for that Coh claim?

This has to be some Mandela effect business but I'm convinced they've talked about nerfing the perk again. It's objectively still busted.

  • @StarLost said:

I know what you're saying, but things are a house of cards right now - you can't just yank stuff willy nilly.

Killers already get a hefty BP bonus.

As for the rest...I doubt whether it'll be six months. But as welcome as some of these changes sound, it's also not something you want to rush - unless you want Boil Over 3.0.

The least they can do is disable the problematic perks, they're flatout toxic and create immense frustration. Killers don't get enough bloodpoints, infact I only make as much as any of the survivors on average during my trials. I don't see how this could compensate me appropriately for the psychological trauma I have to endure during these matches.

I don't see how immediate changes could end up in a situation like with Boil Over - I'm asking for nerfs, not for buffs.

  • So I suppose slugging everyone is now the best possible play for killers? I assume after you've sacrificed the third survivor the fourth one will be immediately killed via cutscene without you needing to find them after they crawled off to god knows where to cheese the hatch.

  • @Peanits said:

We wanted to keep the choice for folks who like the time wasting aspect of boons. If you'd rather snuff them and force Survivors to waste their time reblessing them, you can. Otherwise, you can toss this on and destroy the totem outright.

Wouldn't it be better to simply offer killers the option to snuff or break the totem? The first action would be as quick as before, the second one however would require more time from the killer to completely make the totem unusable.

  • No vommy mommy? No buy. Simple as.

  • ez bingo.png

    This was extremely easy.

  • I'm quite disappointed that there's no trace of Adiris/The Plague in that roster. Only 4 killers to romance? Really?
