I don't care for rewards for Prestige, but I did find it incredibly disappointing when I reached Devotion 1 and realized that it just gave me the standard 300 Iri Shards and nothing else. Shouldn't it feel significant, like 1000 Shards? Even 500? Anything other than the normal reward with no fanfare.

They rarely fit the outfit they're on, and they even more rarely look good.
-
I'm somewhat fond of Elodie but I dislike that most of her cosmetics are just her dressing rich and fancy. It feels gaudy.
-
I wish I could use BP to buy Iri Shards. Even if it was a hyperexpensive exchange like 5000 BP for 1 Shard, it'd still be something to do with them.
-
Doesn't deserve to be called a rework, it's still just as awful as ever. Even worse in some cases.

The only thing that I have to say is that you're forgetting about controller users by only mentioning the "CTRL button" because unless if the feature is available to controller players then it physically can't be added to the game.
Knight doesn't use the L button, they can just assign it to that.

I don't think I've ever seen anyone complain about the strength of Chemical Trap.
-
I just like hitting greats for the bonus points.
-
Great change. Just wish it happened sooner. I give BHVR credit for making their oldest content more accessible so that new players aren't running into a brick wall to unlock everything so tediously/expensively.

So what you saying is that you either buy chapters which you already have, or you have to farm to buy from shards? How it is good for them?
Also with cells? Yeah, maybe it is cheaper. But can you buy the exact amount of cells? No you cant. You will have to buy more, so your money is wasted. And what you have left back from it is not enough for anything, so you have to buy more cells to be able to spend it. Just like in mobilegames...
Buying a character for 4500 shards is a lot easier than 9000 shards. I don't understand what your problem is with the grind being reduced.

wait, they do????
When Dissolution is active, the perk icon appears on the survivors' HUD, warning them that if they fast-vault a pallet, it will break.
-
It's still not a good perk, and it's still not going to be used often.

Those perks are hexes and only activate under very strict conditions. And survivors get warned about devour before you get to mori anybody. I’d hardly call them comparable to Dissolution.
It’s not hard to activate Dissolution. It doesn’t get much use because it’s inconsistent and often doesn’t get actual value when it is active. If I was going to buff it I’d just increase it to 25 seconds instead.
I wasn't comparing the immediate kill of Devour Hope to Dissolution, I was comparing the Exposed effect. Survivors aren't warned about that, often until it is too late and someone is insta-downed. That's pretty cheap, far cheaper than the finicky pallet break of Dissolution that, as the above post said, is rare to actually get to activate in the first place due to the 3 second delay and the limited amount of time it's active.

It would feel incredibly cheap for survivors if it had no warning in its current state.
For it to be balanced with no warning, it would need to be a lot harder to activate/much more situational than it is now.
There are far "cheaper" killer perks with no warning; Devour Hope and NOED come to mind. And it doesn't need to be made harder, because it's already hard, which is why no one uses it.
-
It's a mistake in consistency that I wish they would fix. Feng getting a Tome would have been a perfect opportunity to do it, too.
-
The more important part is that their prices in cells+shards are being slashed, which makes them much more accessible to new players just playing the game normally.
-
Needs a range increase.
-
Scratchmarks get worse, FOV gets worse, next update I'm expecting killers will be forced to stare at the ground the whole match. There's always something (or ten somethings) wrong with this game.
-
I've had this exact idea too, I support it.
-
This is something I've wanted for a while too. I think an ocean-themed map, killer, and survivor would be really cool ideas. I've imagined a map like an overgrown beach with a decayed shipwreck on it, along with a mariner as a survivor. A lot of survivors are people who disappeared under mysterious circumstances and a shipwreck is a great backstory for that.
-
For Dredge to be overrated, that would require a lot of people to rate him highly, which they don't. I think Dredge is a fantastically designed killer from an aesthetic view, he's probably my favorite in the game, but he's just not that fun to play because he has so many weaknesses. if he received some decent buffs, I'd love to play him a lot more often.

Let's not buff an annoying anti gameplay crutch perk.
Ah, yes, Dissolution, the perk that is such an amazing crutch that nobody uses it.
-
I tried tunneling them out, but it turns out they were both running the combo, so while I was focused on one, the other would heal up, and I'd have to deal with the combo all over again. It's pretty disgusting.

What!!?? I've literally played killer for 2 years and never knew the mixtapes changed the chase music. I gotta do better.
it was only added around last year, I believe. Around the time Legion and Ghost Face got add-on updates.
-
Survivors don't need a warning that Dissolution is active.
-
I had a killer match on Garden of Joy where two generators spawned on the street less than 10 meters from each other and a couple more not far from those either, and I had Surge. I realized early on I barely had to play the map, all i had to do was camp these generators and I'd win via attrition. And the survivors absolutely did their best to break it, but when one realized how bad the spawns were, he gave up and let himself die, and after that it was just a matter of whittling down the rest.
Garden of Joy is a terrible map for killers, but with these generator spawns, it can also be a terrible map for survivors now too. This is a real problem.

Yes it is bugged
they are probably discussing right now whether this "bug" could be an intended feature of the perk or not, just like how Kindred should not show the killer's aura to you if you are on the hook
Survivors perks are getting gutted
Distortion next
Someone posts about a bugged killer perk and you immediately flip it into completely unrelated survivor victimization and scaremongering. Impressive.

The Exposed has gotten me killed more often than the perk has ever helped me. I'd love to run it more often, but it just doesn't feel worth it.

He's like Ghostface and Blight having a mutant baby. - He's even harder to see than crouched Ghostie (simply because of the size; a ton of tiles are by default a coinflip because you have literally no way to react in time based on what you can perceive because you can't see the dude) - and can rush with less restrictions than Blight.
"You can dodge the dash" is also something that i'd like to see you do against a somewhat decent player on a semi-regular basis; it's incredibly hard to gauge the actual hitbox (since similar to Victor it's much larger than Chucky) and position yourself accordingly - and since Chucky can flick in any direction he wants it's not so much about dodging and a lot more about baiting him into whiffing - which is an entirely different thing.
Idk, atm I'm very sick and tired of Chucky - but at least right now I can't see how those two points could get fixed with the good old "git gut". Gitting gut doesn't give you wallhacks to see Chucky - and gitting gut also doesn't stop him from zooming around the map pretty much uninterrupted. It also doesn't reduce his hitbox. - If anything you may at som point get used to his hitbox being twice his size and visuals not at all lining up with what's actually happening ... but, well, even that seems more like a "just become clairvoyant" than a "git gut".
Seconding all this. Also adding how many Chucky's I've met that use their dash attack to tunnel survivors off-hook. I would love to learn how to dodge his dash but they've already learned how to do near U-turns with that thing so it feels like everything I try is completely useless.
-
I like Pig's idea, I want to play as her, but every time I do I'm reminded of her problems. Useless stealth, useless dash attack, and her reverse bear traps feel like they don't do anything to survivors of moderate skill or higher, if you can even catch them before three generators pop anyway.
-
Bad players will be bad, and selfish players will be selfish. It doesn't matter what you nerf or buff. It's the fault of people, not the game.
I find hiding more fun than chasing, anyway. I'm not good at chase, but successfully sneaking around the killer makes me feel clever.

fogwise is bad perk because it gives you wall-hacks when you do not need info on killer's location. It is also rng-based info which makes perk worse. A perk that does something similar is Dark sense but nobody uses that perk.
Hyperfocus is for a lack of better word, too high skill of a perk for 95% of the player-base. Most survivor cannot land the default basic skill-checks with 100% consistency so asking player to use a perk that makes skill-check harder consecutively is no-go. I can land 4-5 hyperfocus check with near 100% consistency but that is still not good enough to use this perk. This perk shines the most when you hit H6 and land a bunch of consecutive skill-checks at H6. I still need Stake out to have any consistency on landing H6 skill-checks. they're really hard. I think only way that people ever run this perk as some main-stream perk is if they buffed This Is not happening to make skill-checks considerably easier that even a average player hits consistent greats. By the time you make skill-checks easy enough for casual to land consistent hyperfocus, the really good survivor that are already really good skill-checks will just be on permanent H6. You have question at that point whether the perk at its optimal power-level is too strong and whether inconsistency of not being able to stay at 100% of H6 is what keeps the perk from over-performing.

I play soloQ, I always need info on the killer's location. I like using Dark Sense too.

Newbie killer build:
- Thrill of the Hunt
- Spies from the Shadows
- Whispers
- Shattered Hope
-
They treat it as a Halloween-only skin for some reason.
-
The point of Killer Instinct is that it can't be countered. And it's very far from overpowered.
-
I'm glad I'm not the only one bothered by this.
-
Your idea is an even worse version of Grim Embrace.

I mean you've got Adam if you want to play as a black guy with a bunch of cosmetics, though they could certainly add another.
I feel like you'd have better luck just asking for more black characters rather than saying a licenced character should have been original.
I do feel we could use a couple more black characters. I'd like to have one from the American South, I want more Southerners in DbD so that I have options other than only Kate.
-
It's a huge letdown of a feature. Maybe it'll get better eventually but I'm not holding my breath. Would it really have been too difficult to cook up a handful of really simple options for everyone to start with?

Yes, I realize that many survivors are excessively pre leaving generators at the first sign of a visual terror radius, so they can excessively hide. Insta fail skill checks are healthy for the game, and should happen more.
"Excessive pre-leaving" and "excessive hiding" are Killer Rulebook nonsense that you post about in every thread you possibly can. It's getting ridiculous.
-
Survivors now have a unique animation for using the T-Virus Vaccines, I thought that was pretty nice.
-
The combo is miserable to deal with. Sometimes it feels like if someone gets downed before the first generator is complete, the game may as well end right there because it's a domino effect of regression from there.
-
I suggested in another thread that it be reworked so that survivors' held item is drained of a small amount of charges every time they do a rushed action within the killer's terror radius.

Absolutely. I'm enjoying maps in conjunction with certain perks but on their own they're a bit lacklustre. Having to basically run the map (unless using Detective's Hunch) just to get accurate readings is painful.
If you ask me, the green map should start with 4 generators already tracked, and the iri map should start with 6 tracked. Then add a yellow map that starts with 2 tracked. Then maybe maps will be somewhat useful.
-
There isn't one.
-
A number of people have suggested this, but I don't know if that's a worthwhile effect. I made a suggestion thread a while back to add to Insidious a roundstart Undetectable effect, like Lethal Pursuer's roundstart aura read. so you can pretend to be a stealth killer at the start of the trial.
-
The only somewhat balanced thing it’s used for is countering WoO, but really is that worth all the problems?
Yes.

Since I'm a distortion enjoyer I don't really have experience getting screwed by the perk.
However, given that there has been a common theme of "there should be no 'free' things in end game", it probably should deactivate in endgame; As OP outlined it's basically a free down on any killer with mobility.
... then again. There are always lockers and people tend to know if they're the obsession.
Funny you say that because OP was insisting in another thread that Decisive Strike should work in endgame.
Makes the bias obvious.

I'm happy with a killer-only chapter. It means I always have the BP bonus on survivor and can play it as much as I want, with quick queue times.
