  • As if only you're in the Boon zone, you can heal your self at 100% speed without requiring team mate is already powerful. Need to remove healing other at 200% speed.

  • @Maperson said:

And devs balance around people of that level.. They just came into the game and expect to win every single time? Also about variety of killers, how do you expect seeing other killers when you nerf even mid tier killers into the ground? c'mon now lol

Its not about balance, its about this game isnt newbie friendly.

You start a game as survivor with a single Tier1 perk. You need at least 200k BP to reach to level 15 for 4 random perks that barely help in any way. For survivors earning BP, they barely make 15k BP without escape. Which is requires 10 matches at least to get there.

I only need 6 months of playing this game to realize this. And I never recommend my friends to play.

  • Feel like there should be 4 rituals, 2 for killers & 2 for survivors, you can replace 1 ritual for each side each day. Just simple as that.

  • Item alone isnt a problem for me, at least a single medkit. Yes I know its still strong when in a good looper's hand.

Addon is a thing, but because item can come with various rarity (such as Ranger medkit) combined with great rarity addons (that can bring up to 12sec x 3 healing) is the reason.

    Remove item's rarity.

  • Remember fresly reworked Lery was exactly like this? Dark atmosphere and horror in it.

Now does anyone notice how bright Lery is?

The game is about chasing, not hiding. They can totally do this with some light management. But they dont, the game has to be bright for the Killer can easily see and chase survivors.

In that vid, Clau can hide in plain sight and you will not able to see her. Many people increase their screen brightness to play the game.

  • Simple fix to make it on par with Undying

    Undying:

    1. Info: show aura on Dulls.
    2. Purpose: take its place for one destroyed Hex.

    Thrill of the Hunt:

    1. Info: give noti noise on Hex.
    2. Purpose: slow down cleansing Dulls to 21sec when this Hex still stand.
  • I dont think all Boon should have equal effect range. It will be really hard to balance between Boons.

For me, Circle of healing should only allow survivors to self heal at 100% speed. Thats already a huge buff. Allow other to heal you for 8 sec or 2 teammate heal for 4sec is too much.

  • dbd3.png

I main Trapper just for this.

  • I use Noed all the time, but its because I dont use any slow down and play the game fair. Noed alone is fine, Killers play with 3 perks entire game, if they manage that survivors dont have enough time to do 5 Dulls, Killers do a good job with Noed already.

Noed isnt fine when Killers combine it with 3 slow down + tunneling/camping.

  • Even if its bad, at least its unique.

Shelter wood, wreck yard, rot field are the one should gone.

  • No further argument.

If I understood it correctly, this is the case for killer.

    I saw some typed this:

    • Higher mmr survivor escape: -5
    • Lower mmr escape: -10
    • Higher mmr kill: +20
    • Lower mmr kill: +10

Means your mmr + 15 that match. That gain is quite high for me.

Even if you kill 2 lower and have 2 higher escape, your mmr would be +10. No wonder Killers complain alot. Their mmr increased non stop.

What's fun for killer? Do you really think running a circle around a low wall loop with 100% visibility on each other and not being able to do anything about it is fun? (hay bales and just farm map in general)

Do you really think trash survivors that just W and predrop while going down the instant they try to mindgame but win anyway because gens speed to kill speed is heavily unbalanced are fun to face?

you think 4 people sweating on coms not for "fun" but to win is fun for killer?

you think the all mighty E to outplay perk is FUN for the killer?

You don't care... as long as you can make baby killer montages where you loop them and make them look stupid you are happy.

Im having alot of fun messing around. You sweat alot for more than 2k. In the end, both of us would have equal of 2k.

But non-able mind game loops should gone.

  • You can see the shipping arts all over the place on the internet. Its the ship not DLC

  • 1- That one match as Spirit, I always do a 360 before M1 survivors

2- I usually let a survivor escape, who is shipped with my perspective Killer (Trapper & Meg ; Wraith & Nea ect), but only if they dress good. As said, Meg was spared the most because I main Trapper.

3- That one challenge required me to chase survivors for 180sec. So I only chased but not hit, survivors thought they were super good loopers

4- It took me a day to have some survivors understood that I want to play squid

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V7LwH8s29W4

5- If Im not in chase and Spirit starts phasing. Touch that husk

With all the recent games I have played it's clear that people have changed the way they play in the end game. If you are hooked people just leave now. Have others noticed this? Killers should just kill but survivors should not only survive but also help others to survive! MMR wants you to open the exit gate and just leave.

To my Pov, they leave you to die and escape. Means you drop your mmr and they increase theirs. Means you will have easier Killer to escape next match, while they will have harder Killer and die in the next.

  • @landromat said:

McMillan, except suffocation pit. Terrible map design

Any map that split up into 2 sides. Suffo pit, Azarov, Sactum of wrath.

As Trapper main, my fav realm is Asylum, especially Disturbed ward, so many good places to trap.

  • @Labrac said:

Trapper imo is far from being the worst killer if you use good addons on him. His basekit sucks, but he has some insane addons going for him.

He has many problems, but not about his basekit but more of QoL. An injured randomly trapped in distance and escape in first try. Dead hard over trap. Disarming trap with zero risk. Set graphic to Low to disable shadow and easier to see traps.

Honestly if his powerful addon are cheaper and more frequently to use (Honing stone as Yellow/Green, injured when disarm at Green/Purple ect), I can actually live with the fact he carry 1 trap)

  • If player can ban a map, its understandable. But ban a realm? You know ban Macmillan, Auto heaven, Cold wind, badham means banning 20 map of total of 36? And thats only count Killer. Now having 4 survivors can ban another 4 realms...

The game will be so much fun repeat in playing 5 maps

Edit: if each player is allowed to ban 1 map (not realm) I would pick either 3 original maps with no main buildings (Shefter wood, wreck yard, rotten field)

  • How does everyone know they're at high mmr?

  • "Wiggle is 300% effective, finally Boil over worth a perk slot"

  • We dont need shorter the chase. We need to give survivors objective. As passive power like Pinhead.

A Killer from 115 to 119 with Noed is already noticable. Which mean already huge.

    That's stupid

If anything there's a motive to ban hackers ASAP because they'll have to keep buying the game

    Thats a win-win

If I'm exposed with rancor I try to be stealthy, wait for someone to open the gate and then run out when I get the chance.

Stealth near gate is best choice yet. Many were easily bait when I came to them, and they opened gate for my Blood warden.

There were also many times obsession forgot they still have Rancor when Noed destroyed, and tried to body block for other.

And this is a great example as to why we 99 exist gates

I also have Rancor, obsession opens gate themselves quite often.

  • Who is uncultured enough to retire from this?

    image.png

I dont think the change is a right way. It was too little time for survivors to juke their movements (~2.5sec). Its not really fix her short phase problems, it only nerf her long range phasing.

  • The system doesnt work the way we expected, but it works the way it should.

No killers want Survivors (A) who use 4 meta with high quality items get lower MMR than Survivors (B) who use 1 meta with meme build because Survivors (A) would do anything to ensure their escape, even hiding and wait for other to die.

No survivors want Killers (A) who tunnel off hook, camp for 4k with 6hook get lower MMR than Killers (B) who play fair and 2k with 10 hooks because Killers (B) perform far better than (A). Then every Killer would tunnel/camp every match because they would have 80% kill rate white get low MMR for easier matches and keep tunnel for even high kill rate for their satisfaction.

And in the end, if survivors keep facing Killers who tunnel & camp, everyone would use 4 meta to make their game barely enjoyable from tunnelers. I felt like to put in 2 more Meta after the day I had 5 tunnelers in a row, but I didnt do it because I know my game will get more casual if I die. Amazingly it worked.

  • @Exxodus21 said:

If Kindred becomes baskit it should only show survivor auras. Being able to see exactly where the killer is, is beyond information even a SWF team can provide.

I would have Survivor's aura turn to a difference color if Killer is 16m close. So you know Killer is near hook but not exactly where.

  • @Aneurysm said:

It looks like it. I supported it, and still do because my games are better, but yeah.

One of the reasons I might have more chill games than others is because I usually let one (or more) survivors go especially if they didn't do very well. And if it's through the gate...I might not have actually done them any favours :/

Me too support it since my games are better because I play casual on both side.

Survivors: I play with only Lithe as 2nd chance, happens to die more. And for that I vs Killers who happens to kill less for playing fair (I had many matches where Killer Mori first survivor at 8th hook (each had double hook already). The game is far more enjoyable for me even if I die, than escape vs tunnel/camp killer

Killers: I dont play for kill, but to feel power trip with End game build. Kill rate is inconsistent so I keep go up & down.

Because escape & kill are goals for many players, the system is stupidly work well. I find its unfair of Killers who play that fair in my games should get higher "skill base rank" than Killers who do everything to have 4k such as tunnel, camp, slug for the last.

  • @CluelessWanderer said:

So if Killers gain a higher MMR for number of sacrifices and not chases, hooks, etc. Camping and tunneling is the most rewarded strategy.

This completely explains why I've been surrounded by potatoes in Solo queue and have Killers camping 9/10 matches since SBMM dropped.

I have a bloody goldfish that could have come up with a better system than this. I'm so pissed and resentful that I ever spent any money on this wretched game.

I dont think increase SBMM is "rewarded" as you will face better survivors.

I dont think a Killer who play fair and do well that the first dead is at his 8-9th hook and have 3 escape should get higher SBMM; than Killer who tunnel/camp and get 2k with 2-3 hooks.

If the system keeps the tunnel/camp Killer's SBMM low, everyone will just tunnel & camp since it gives them both kills and low mm to satisfy their need. Thats when the game truly death for Solo players.

  • The contrast between dark and bright areas is a part of what make the graphic looks good.

But DBD is no more hide and seek game. Thats why the Game, Lery got brighter after updates. This dark area in the vid will not suit DBD

It´s being deferential and good manners. It´s not like if whe was chasing me and got me in a corner and i raised the wthite flag in my convenience. I was literally chasing her from behind.

If she just didn´t want to meme, 1 hit, 2 hits or even 2 hits and a trap would be an acceptable advantage. What that player did is totally unsportmanship, cheap and toxicity when someone is trying to be nice to him. As important is the victory as the way you get it. I can pass an exam just copying, but in my own I will know I didn´t.

If a killer tunnel to win vs survivor like me who only use Lithe. Im happy because they will increase their sbmm and face DS DH BT and anger themselves. While I drop my sbmm and have a chill game with non-try hard killer.

The game doesnt force you to lose. If you want to win more, either try harder or play better (or both). Eventually you will have the same win rate. The sbmm is fair for everyone.

Sure you can do 5 totems to stop it from happening but you dont have to, you only need to do one totem when its active.

There's 2 ways to go about it and its not like totems are usually hard to find.

Some match the 1st survivor down at 3 Gen done, some match down at 30sec into the game and other guys doing chest / totem with zero Gen progress. We lose some and win some.

There are plenty match where Killer had 5 hooks and 1 Gen left (Killer played fair), I thought I can afford the time and search for Dulls with small game, but the match end up 3k. Or I had 1 hook with 1 Gen left and all 4 survivors start to follow me asking for chase, end up 4k. with 6 hooks.

You dont know when your teammate down, you dont know if Killer camp after the first down. For these sole reasons explain why survivors always rush. Its simple psychology, survivors have to ensure their gates at least close to ready before making any bold moves, because 1 guy dies before 3 Gen done is a 3-4k. With constant tunnel/camp, its easy to understand why survivors always rush Gen, and vice versa.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/285788/noed-is-bad-for-killers

    Here's the issue:

You can say the same thing for Survivors about running Ds / Unbreak just bout every match,

Survivors don't need it. yet they get carried by this build. "So just don't tunnel 4head" might be your response.

BUUUUUT. in a game that's severely survivor sided, Tunneling / Camping for a 12 hook is neigh impossible if you don't have survivors making mistakes,

And even if they make mistakes. doesn't take any skill to rush gens.. Yet they still do that, Now my response to all of this in a Nutshell?

    just do totems 4head,

Did you mean 3 other survivors have to do 5 Gen, 5 totem while Killer tunnel & camping 1 guy with Noed?

  • I dont use any slowdown Gen perk related. But either full Expose (Haunted ground, make your choice, dragon grip, Star truck, devour hope, Noed), or End game (Remember me, Blood warden, No way out, Rancor, Noed). But I use mostly End game build.

I dont kill before 5 Gen done. I dont care about Gens fly or hook. My rule is to put a final challenge on survivors and make it tense before they escape. Though sometimes other 3 just leave freshly hooked survivor : (

    Mine, my lore is unchallenged.

  • I have this question for a long time but forgot to ask. If I sprint burst for 1sec and get hit, does 2sec speed boost from hit added with 2sec remaining from sprint burst (for a total of 4sec)?

  • @danielmaster87 said:

Sprint Burst isn't that hard to deal with compared to Dead Hard. You either let them Sprint Burst away, or don't swing at first so that you catch up to them. Dead Hard gives literal i-frames, and is used to prolong chases, not just discourage them.

If 3 DH at deadzone doing Gen, the moment they hear TR coming, they will leave Gen for the closest vault/pallet. If 3 have Sprint burst, they can stay at the Gen for 3sec means 8% Gen progress. That moment can be important that you can use Pop or not.

This count to every time you chasing someone that pass a SB user on Gen, he will never leave Gen unless you give up on the one you're chasing. Just to have him activate his SB and now both make distance from you.

So what else should we do? Keep joining matches to lose them in 5 minutes over and over again, which is a massive time waste, and then when u get to play vs chill survivors U'll just get your mmr back up again just because you play good.

There is no way out of this shithole.

People play the game, because people want to win. Winning and the path you took to the victory is what makes the game fun.

Thats the point, if your skill is 10, you guarantee face players who have10 skill, or players who have slightly lower skill but Meta carry them up.

No one has skill of 5 facing players skill of 10 with 4 slow down. Because mm is randomly.

You can ask yourself if you want to vs players who have skill of 15? I think not.

  • @Pulsar said:

They are kind of good. I don't blame people for running them, but BHVR does need to balance them a bit better.

I saw someone suggested Iron will should only mute after out of chase for 10sec. So its more like a hiding tool. Rather than suddenly disappear.

It should replace grunting with breathing too

  • Most of the time, Noed feel cheap when Killer stack with 3 slowdown and tunnel/camp where survivors have no choice but gen rush for escape, totally ignore totems.

I use Noed all the time, I dont use any slowdown (gens fly is a normal thing for me) but all kind of end game build (Blood warden, Rancor, No way out, remember me..) to give me a power trip. Also to put a true challenge on survivors, without extend the game for long.

  • I find one big problem is 2K 2E average, which is Survivors win half of the time, but for Killer its about "tie". Make Killers feel never satisfied on the game.

Anyway, I made this chart last week

    image.png

Let say you're player A, a casual, at level 2, win often and gain to level 3.

    • You either face player C, also a casual, whos better than you but happened to lose at level 4 and vs you at level 3. He beat you fair and square with his skill. You lose, but you have fun.
    • Or you face player B, who has equal skill to you but is a try hard and do whatever it takes to win. He still beat you, but either with DS,DH,BT,Deliverance or tunnel, camp, 3 slow down into Noed. This is where the complains begin.

If you nerf the other side. You will face player D, whos even better than player C and a try hard, but since their side is nerfed, he lose more and drops his SBMM. Im sure to you that you will never have fun game ever again. Who wants to vs a more skilled + try hard opponents?

  • But...I like to vault when play as Spirit.

    image.png

  • I dont mind the snuff thing, but Hex like Plaything & Noed should trump over Boon.

  • Pinhead is what all Killers should be, weak in chase, but have passive power that force at least 1 survivor to stay away from Gen. Of course if Solo comm is also a thing.
