I don't understand why you can't buff the speed of your Saboteur skill if you are carrying (not using) a toolbox with Hacksaw/Wire. That means you have given it a perk slot AND your item slot. That's a huge trade-off to run 1 perk, at this point it is just easier to bring in a toolbox and a different perk, lol.
Same to Botany, the point is the heal teammate faster. At the cost of Brown Medkit cant heal yourself.
If you bring/found a Brown medkit, since you cant make use of Medkit, you should give to teammate. But then why using Botany when you give teammate Medkit?
-
I will not use any of those, if Killers try hard and tunnel me out of the game to reach higher MMR, so be it.

As non meta survivor, I dont understand why they nerf my usual perks so hard. Calm spirit, Pharmacy, Botany

You should be able to prevent Generators with perks. The issue comes from stacking.
This is why I still think choice restrictions would work. Also would allow you to buff perks individually bevause the combo isn't an issue anymore.
Im really think of this. 4x 2nd chances was a problem , though because survivors can exploit them, DS in end game, BT body block, DH its own. Most of them are gone, so survivors have to use something else, which is good.
The meta shacking for survivors have to face is just 4 different slow down.

i dont mind but killers may or may not need a buff to balance that. Eg: kicking a gen now insta regresses 5% instead of 2.5%
Killer's kick time should make equal regress to the time survivor make progress. 2.5% is enough.
Thing is survivors must have startup animation to make any progress, just 1.5sec, it will make alot different than you ever think.
- Cant touch Gen mid chase.
- Anything survivor leave and go back in action (Gen, Heal, Gate, Totem, Chest...) they have to pay 1.5sec; Just a match that these thing happens for 30 times, its already extend the objective time for 45sec
- 99% Gate will come with risk, when they have to spend 1.5sec to open.
-
Ive never seen this man in my life before
I saw an image that the map is open further, since by cut in half, its too small. Plus there is only 1 stair on the West. And 2 stairs on the East are too close to each other (its like you can camp the stair can survivors cant go through)

Lul. Honestly feels like survivors adapted/ got over the changes. I routinely get my ass beat even when i get very fast downs.
Perhaps you get enough 3-4K to face against much better survivor. Not because survivors adapt.
Buff hard enough you will face against Ayrun or similar, you will still think survivors adapted and the buff still not enough.

I'm still not convinced yet, especially if the idea is to get killers away from relying on slowdown perks.
Slowdown is always the strongest perks. When a match is long enough, items gone, chests gone, pallets gone, the chase from there is only W until down.
Even if Gen time increased more and slowdown perks nerfed further, Killer would still slap in 4 slowdown.
I feel before the patch, you can replace slowdown with Noed to punish survivors not doing totem. Which make the game more depth play that survivors have choice: rushing Gen and risking Noed, or go for totems. Increase Gen time just make survivors refuse to do anything else but Gen. Keep in mind that Survivors supposed to have 5 Gen complete every single match to achieve 2 escape.
There are so many ideas that making objective longer without increase Gen time, at the same time the ideas nerf Gen perks itself.

Go ahead and revert every basekit change but DH needs to stay gone, the game feels so good without it, too bad so many people are trolling or giving up instead of playing normally because it's hard to tell what changes were needed.
That match vs 4 same skin Meg as Trapper in Crow map was much more fun than I expected, because no Coh, and 1 DH.
DH, Coh, and DS in end game were the only problems. The rest of the change is a mess.

I think the numbers should be more like 3/6/9/20 (honestly, the 20 could be lowered to 16 or 18).
It should go of the opposite, that reduce the maximum stack debuff to make it weaker on Legion/Plag, but 1 injured will make a huge debuff.
If could be 9 / 12 / 14 / 15. Injure one will get equal stack of 2 injured pre-change, but maximum will only have 75%

This post is specifically about prove thyself and wiki states it takes 28 sec to finish a gen with PT, I think you just proved it's basically impossible to secure a gen.
We have to accept RNG happens in game. I spawned in a gym, seeing a survivor in shack through the window within starting screen, starts chase under 10sec into the game.

You are acting like they are related. I disagree pretty much with every change they announced in the last announcement.
Explain to me what a killer is supposed to do when they literally cannot cross the map fast enough to stop the first gen from being done?
Largest map is Mother Dwelling of 12.000m. Which the is ~109 x 109 m
Killer with 110% speed will take 25sec. The time to work on a single Gen with all 4 survivors is 41sec.
-
Legion and Plague still have no problem on making Thana at max stack. This nerf makes Thana useless on other Killers. They buffed Thana because it was how hard to make all 4 injured for other Killers

I think the point OP was trying to prove that: Camping is effective in low or mid MMR.
- OP lose his streak at 37th match. Proof that OP reached to better MMR. But do you ever think that OP's skill should belong in low MMR, except camping carried OP to higher MMR, where OP should not be. Just like how DH carried Survivors to high MMR where they're not belong to.
- You said camping doesnt work in high MMR. Though if you think every Killers in low/mid MMR play like this and win most of the time, the game isnt healthy. If you think newbies join in the game as survivors and get camped on first hook, they never have a chance to actual improve their skill, the newbies will leave.
- Do you think if a survivor who has better skill than you, they made a mistake and downed then camped to death. Do you think your MMR should be increased for that kill? Do you think you should belong to higher MMR because a survivor made mistake once?

Majority of the time survivors have no idea you were showing mercy and think they outplayed you, it's pretty funny.
Not majority, but yes, some people cant recognized that if Killers are playing fair, or even having mercy.

Tunneling as killer is a viable strategy point blank. Its risk and reward because you can lose all your gens doing it. You are baiting the team to be altruistic. Period
Gen rushing isn't even a thing. Survivors ONLY objective to escape is do gens. period.
Either side complaining about either thing is absolutely entitled and does not understand how the other side works. period.
I love this game and play and win both sides. People need to learn the new meta. Point blank. It took me a good chunk of games and all my builds on every character I play is different from pre patch and my win rates have actually sky rocketed on both sides
frankly the only time i lose now is as survivor when teammates throw or dc.
This game definitely has an us vs them mentality
I complain both tunneling/camping & Gen rush so... period period period

New event idea: dozens of capybaras roam the map and it’s the goal to pet every one of them. Each one gives 10K BP.
(yes, let’s face it, I really should be a game designer at BHVR)
Killer chop them each for 1K BP just for the lul.

So because a lot of people say something, it’s right? I can think of MANY examples of that being horrifically wrong. And this all circles back to the fact that i’m not having as much trouble as everyone else. I have been playing majority survivor the last few days and I do well. I’m not the only one, but obviously the whiners will be louder
He didnt say Killers are OP.

This is not 1v4 game.
This is 1v1, then 1v1, then 1v1, then 1v1.
Something like Mortal Kombat tower thing.

IW should be nerfed, but not this hard.
I had this idea for along time that not running will slowly lower volume in 5sec or something, and running will increase the volume back. So IW used as Defensive rather than in chase.

Survivor is now too hard. Everyone I play with is quitting and i used to blame them for it. Then I started quitting because I thought hell, if other people are doing it too then I will, especially if someone else already dc'ed out of the match.
Now I blame the game. I know it's not just me feeling how hard this new update is for survivors because so many other people are complaining about it. Even the most recent day of the twitch stream with otz, JRM etc. makes it look like the most experienced players ever are also struggling.
I loved this game, now it makes me want to tear my hair out.
I dont think its too hard, you still able to escape if Killer decides to play fair.
Its just many Killer will tunnel/camping because its more effective, or Legion/Plag with Thana and other slowdown. Makes the game boring.

Many weak addon does need a buff. But Im happy now that Vera rare addon now actually...very rare.
Perhaps this is why they buff Killers in general.

Solo Q always sucked though... that's not this patches fault, and the lower mmr you go the worse solo Q will get.
But you cant blame a patch that didnt change solo Q directly... if solo q is an issue then solo Q should be addressed, not the patch
Solo was suck, now it suck more. Even less will to play Solo.
But I guess thats how they balance things. When Coh was fresh released, I feel the perk is so stupidly strong, eventhough I play survivor more.

I still stand by the idea that the game isnt sided at all to any specific, and that the side that wins will always be the side that brings the strongest stuff and plays the most efficiently. Survivors can win just as well as killers can, and survivors can lose just as much as killers can.
There are people who play a certain role exclusively and always complain that the other role is overpowered, both sides do it, people on both sides lack accountability, but dont pin it exclusively to one single side.
Right, though old DS, DH and CoH were so broken for low tier Killers. Not mention the possibility of 4 Ranger or BNP. On Killer, using Nurse Blight Spirit, with 4 slowdown and tunneling.
The game is try hard's sided.
I dont think one using try hard loadout winning a casual one, means casual one's skill is worse.
I cant tell if other survivors here are try hard, but I was always use meme build and get punished by try hard. Which isnt fun.
On killer side, if I lose, I drop MMR, my match are more casual. I never take 4K as a win. I never want to increase my MMR as killer anyway, I keep it low

Jeff has a lot going against him, he's the tallest survivor I think and he sounds like hes having an asthma attack if you run for more than like 20 seconds. I've played other characters and they all have this gentle pant and Jeff/Bill are like "Oooof! Whuhh. Hooo! Huahh. Hhaaa." Which Iron Will doesn't even negate, it was literally only inquired noises--characters are still plenty loud when uninjured.
Survivors has only 2 skeleton rigging for 2 genders. All males have the same height, so do females. Its just Jeff is thicker than others.
-
@Carth said:
They are looking at normalizing survivor audio across the board so certain survivors aren't significantly louder than others/others aren't as silent.
Bigger survivors should make less noise. It would be fair to either you pick Feng/Nea who are harder to see, but easier to track. Or Jeff,Ash who are easier to be found, but harder to track. Should not be much different. Like only 30% lower volume than Feng/Nea

The biggest skill issue currently are all the DH users getting filtered down to their true mmr
But the most scary thing is when Killer (lets say skill of 5/10) reaches to their high possible MMR (match skill ranking of 6/10) and cant win any more after that. They still think the game is still survivor sided. Which alot of topic created recently after days they get constantly win.

What?why?
They nerf most of killer perk when they buff some basekit.
For my experience solo survivor is still easy like before .
Can you tell me which part of killer buff is unacceptable for you?
I am really curious.
They made the buff so Killer have One slowdown perk in basekit (just as One 2nd chance perk in basekit for survivor), that is 50sec Gen. Which using 4 slowdown by now should be just equal to using 4 slowdown by then, eventhough many slowdown perks are nerfed, thats what they aimed for.
Killer is now finally face Survivors will various builds, since 2nd chances are mostly gone, except the stronger version of basekit. Which is fun.
You know what Survivors have to face? Still the same old 4 Slowndown + tunneling / camping.
-
Killers with build in slow down but weak in chase. Pig and Pinhead. Long chase doesnt hurt them much (except the first chase)

I dont understand. I think @MikaelaWantsYourBoon said it best.
When the game was "survivor sided", killers complained now that it's "killer sided" its now survivors complaining. Why cant you all just enjoy what you have, I bet a lot of the people complaining never had a hatch standoff which is from a time when the game was way more broken (but arguably way way way more fun) and was both killer and survivor sided and just an absolute mess which is what made it so good in the first place. If the new generation of dbd players were put in that era, the complaining would be 1000x worse me thinks.
Edit: Whatever. @MikaelaWantsYourBoon made it clear in short : D
I just trying to make the point why Killers start to think the game is still survivors sided, again
-
@NerfedFreddy said:
Killers are simply carried by perk choice?
It definitely feels like this in a lot of matches
Both sides are carried by loadout: perks, items, addon.
Just telling they lose because they just reach their limit in MMR, not because the game is opposite sided

Gen doesnt fly
Its just winning alot brings you a group of survivors who actually have greater skill than you.

If 2-3 survivors are being hit by Frenzy every minute, then the survivors are clearly doing something wrong.
Split up and run away as soon as you hear his terror radius when he is Frenzy. 99 your mend and then finish it when their Frenzy ends. Camp pallets when they are in Frenzy and drop it AFTER they hit you so no one else gets Frenzied.
Legion is boring as heck, but they are still a terrible killer as long as you play smart.
You cant keep make a chase around 1-2 titles for too long in exchange to keep yourself away from other teammate. How can I know Im running away from a teammate just to lead killer to another teammate?

BS. High MMR survivors are having zero problems now that they've adjusted to not having dead hard for distance
Lets say we have 300 players. 60 Killers & 240 Survivors players.
20 killer & 80 survivor at Low MMR.
20 killer & 80 survivor at Mid.
20 killer & 80 survivor at High.
Because 20 high MMR killers are struggle. 80 survivors at Low & 80 survivors at Mid MMR should quit the game?

So the answer to my question is... 3.
3 seconds.
That is how much they buffed Thana.
3 WHOOOOLE seconds.
Except mostly Legions are the one who use it. Adding roughly 8sec on 2-3 survivors average (~20sec total of mending) once per minute.
People doesnt complain Thana alone, they question why they buff Thana when they buff Gen after they buff Legion.

When mid MMR killers expect they should buff Killer so they can at least equal match 4 men SWF Ayrun, JRM, Zubat...

This. Most people that think the game is balanced right now and that the patch was a success has to be someone that plays a lot of killer (or SWF).
Most people think the game is balance.
Few people still think the game is survivor sided
-
Killers tunneled through 8sec BT, then DH (yep, this perk is stupid but still), then DS.
Now Survivors have 15sec BT as their best tool to prevent tunneling. There is no reason that make Killers stop tunneling.
