Ok it will virtually do nothing so just get rid of it so it's all the same isn't it?

I mean go ahead but then I'll see people complaining still about "blight op" when blights still do well.

You cannot be taken seriously in this discussion with that name 🤣

They're right though. Removing hug tech will virtually do nothing especially that the newer maps arent just straight boxes for loops its got multiple items stacked close together or just a random part of the wall sticking out.

Now am I saying it shouldn't be removed? No I'm pretty neutral and I'm just giving the logical explanation of what would happen if it was removed on how it would be virtually the same.

Posts like this are so weird to me. Eruption is not the only good regression perk that was in the game, and you didn’t even need it to win as a m1 killer. I’m going to be honest, I don’t even use gen kick perks on any m1 killer… or any killer for that matter, and I literally do just fine in the majority of my matches.

Although, funnily enough, if people are face camping with dms/agi/pain res, they are wasting 3 perk slots on any survivor team that is actually in any way good.

Yeah but m1's have little to no map pressure. Just ask any person who tries to play oni in and competitive scene. Its literal hell until he gets hit power to keep a blood snowball going. Now sure not everyone goes against super sweaty comp teams but even a somewhat coordinated team will still crush m1's.

  • Yeah I still don't buy the "its skillful now" argument people are presenting. Like unless its a huntress with the hatchet speed addon its more of a free speed boost vs m2's while being a complete gamble when someone decides to ride your ass to hit you instead of a lunge which is also just another free loop at the least.

  • Yeah this is just a complete gut of the perk to make it only viable on insta down killers or highly mobile ones that also have good chase powers aka blight, wesker, spirit, nurse.

  • @hailxsatanxeveryxday said:

Dead Hard is still the worst perk in the game.

For "the worst perk in the game" it sure does have a tendency to appear on at least 2/4 survivors in my trial. All they did was change it to be gimmicky vs m1 killers while EVEN STRONGER against m2's.

  • I don't think its scummy at all. Play stupid games win stupid prizes.

DH is interactive perk. Good design and high skill floor

Eruption - non-interactive perk. Bad design and low skill floor

    They aren't comparable

"good design and high skill floor" Man I really love going against m1's and having to 50/50 or just getting a free dh because im near a pallet or window they have to lunge to hit. I also love the fact that its stronger against m2's because I can just take the shred, pig dash, whip or wesker dash for even more distance than I would have had from old DH and not having to waste a pallet. I surely had to think a lot to hit E at the right time against those. Both perks are brainless just one is slightly less brainless which still doesn't remove the fact that its brainless.

  • Depends on how bad the collision change is. By far his best collision was when the first RE chapter released and has been down hill ever since but still prob not if the base recharge was increased. I could care less about his strong addons becuase I only really use slam duration and fatigue recovery which is bugged.

  • @tippy2k2 said:

Short of completely reworking the perk to do something else, I don't know how you could possibly nerf it anymore than it is at this point.

Thats what is needs tbh a complete rework to make it an actual skillful perk. Even against m1's its more of a gamble while m2's its even stronger than before.

  • They will be disabled until next year.

  • "Killers do not fear ds anymore" well yes if they need pressure it will be easier to go for the person on death hook than someone they haven't hooked.

  • Idk sounds like a you problem. I have no difficulty getting 5 fully charged shreds with zonegorgon

  • Or just remove mmr to begin with and bring back rank systems with maybe a few more to maybe 25

  • @Devilishly_Rowdy said:

Maybe nerfing gen regression perks that literally require the killer to patrol the map will fix this. Right?

    Double edged sword

  • Don't really hate them but there's just so much to critique that it gets under my skin. Take baby teeth as an example... the addon wasn't used because of the timer. It wasn't used because of the CONDITION where they get blindness. Not like they stay blind if they hold victor hostage for 45 seconds its after they take victor OFF of their own back and doesn't even count if they went down to your m1 or pulled them from a locker. Not to mention twins being unplayable for 2 months.

I was actually being nice but there is always going to be toxic people coming here taking a dump in a bowl of cereal. The comments here are just awful but my friends warned me of dbd community.

Tbf when you get a company constantly ######### you over for 6 years, you start to lose sight of a positive outlook.

The perk allegedly encourages survivors to cleanse totems, as breaking all five prevents it from spawning. However, breaking all five totems makes the perk an efficient slowdown, so that's not actually a real counter.

Worse is when people do invest time and effort to counter it, but only find four out of five, in which case the 'counterplay':

    A) did nothing, as NOED fires just as hard when you cleanse one totem or four.

    B) made NOED slow you down on top of firing full force, making it stronger.

    C) ensured NOED would NOT show up in any spot you DID find.

NOED, even now, is a really strong incentive for survivors to just not do bones. It should have its power tied to the number of totems left standing so its counterplay actually counters it, instead of it countering its counterplay.

So then you keep track of the obvious totem spots and don't do those totems. As for the argument "well soloq" killers will almost always stomp solo q no matter the state of the game as long as no in game comms dont exist.

  • You have a perk that literally makes you do totems in 9 seconds after the first one AND gives you aura reading on the next one. Maps also exists.

Idk the sudden palette change is a bit jarring and has caused me to get stuck on scenery once or twice. And it isn't really necessary, keeping the bloodspray effect would be enough to let us know it wasn't a normal hit.

Well it also seems to be an intentional part about deep wound. The lower the timer goes the more it makes it harder to see things and also a way to warn you.

  • "he's unbeatable in chase" well yes that's how killer is supposed to be designed if you commit to someone.

  • I don't see why it would need to be removed. It literally does nothing unless you willingly go down that far on the deep wound timer.

  • The funny nemesis guy because I love tunneling

  • Old Killers

Wait, it's guaranteed now? Last time I tried using it, it went off, didn't count, I was dead with exhaustion up as if I used it because of how bad their servers are.

Also my ping is always the lowest at 30, and I absolutely hit the button properly, it's not my problem the killer has bad internet. But never in my life had DH been guaranteed.

No I said it went FROM guaranteed 3rd health state (before perk rework) to guaranteed against m2s which I should reword to most m2's. Now its a lot more fair to face agaisnt m1's which was a bane of their existance before the rework.

  • Yeah what sava said. Also if you know the blight has a tendency to run to a thin obstacle near you on his first rush which he can't attack in then you can attempt a pluto tech. Thats just sitting in front of the tree which more often then not is the obstacle that spawns near shack on window side opposite of the pallet on macmillan (all though I see box tiles spawn sometimes too). This causes the blight to slip off you and cause him to either fatigue or go to another farther tile which causes a 50/50 compared to the guaranteed hit if you didn't pluto.

This can also work on the short wall tiles around the window on the outside where there's that wall right there. You can stand at the corner near the window and he would slide past you because he cant bump survivors and goes past the tile.

For a drawing heres what it kind of would look like.

  • Killers need help with audio in general. The amount of times I didn't hear a survivor leave a jungle gym because any sort of wall no matter how thick just completely silences the footsteps.

  • Honestly the whole complaining about pain reso and dead mans was just not logical. You literally see the aura of a survivor before they are considered "hooked" by the game. Like sure they lose the aura after they get picked up but you know the general location to it and as soon as you see them get flung off the killers shoulder you let go.

  • Funny enough unless they disabled the bonus I logged in an neither killer nor survivor has a bonus.

  • Blight only really needs a couple addons looked at.

  • Region dependent. I have a friend that lives relatively near me so they should be in the same servers and they face nurses once maybe every 10 matches since before the nerf.

Well yeah but they could listen to their customers/players. And I don't think anyone though it was too powerful it just made wiggling feel worth it and was just every way better than the new one. They should rather neef boil over if that's problematic that is actually painful for us console players to face.

Honestly I keep hearing "its horrible to face as console" but yet have I seen people look from side to side having the wiggle carry you rather than you're actual movement direction. It worked with hackers that stacked like 10 boil overs so I don't see why console cant do the same but maybe 20% of boil over.

  • Bhvr. And since its their game... ultimately its whatever they want.

  • Cause... it was a beta feature that they figured was too strong so they changed it to something else. Back to the 16 second wiggle compared to the like 14.98 if you hit every great skillcheck.

  • They said successful basic attacks nothing about special attacks.

  • They buffed deep wound a while ago to go from a 30 second bleed out timer to 20 seconds so opening the gates will always respond with you being down and the gate 99'd unless you have Sole Survivor or Wake Up

  • Honestly they should make it so if you have certain killers within like a 150 mmr range then you can switch to another killer within that.

  • Yeah but you're banking on those 2 survivors near the exit gate to already not be full stalk... gimmicky scenario does not make a killer not bottom 5.

  • Nah clearly we're going on 4.0 because Thrilling Tremors exists.

  • People would already do this with p2p servers when they were a thing and legit some people would never find matches or needed a VPN. My friend was a pig main back in the day when you could just plop a rbt on someone end game and it didn't need to be active to kill the survivors that try to exit the gate and safe to say he 100% needed a vpn. Even then people made programs to see what killer they were going against and it would instantly DC them from pre game lobbies.

    Awwwww. Gwandpaw is angwy.

Think about this Gwamps: YOU KNOW what makes players quit. I’ll spell it out anyway: OP builds, cheap killer play, bad teammates. This is probably 80% of the reason for quits. I’ll say the other 20% is being petulant because they got found early or didn’t like the map or didnt want to face their 5th Wesker in a row… So about that 80%, and getting back to the fact that YOU KNOW this is why players quit… if killers want to minimize quits:

    • Stop loading into games with OPAF builds (Nurse, Blight, your “magic build” on other killers where you run your map and the best perks and addons that make you damn near invincible)
    • Stop running lethal pursuer with an extreme mobility killer that downs someone in seconds and then steamrolls with BBQ or whatever
    • Stop camping and tunnelling and ruining peoples games because you want to be as oppressive as possible vs a team that is likely a bunch of mismatched solos already at a disadvantage.

Solo survivors are sick of being reamed sideways because killer players are getting spoon fed wins. How easy is it to find survivors now? Every killer has access to like 100 aura perks and addons. How many killers have extreme mobility? How many have “magic builds” where they’re pretty much guaranteed a win? Killers have 100 ways to 1 hit now and slow down gens and find survivors, often simultaneously with one perk doing multiple things. Meanwhile any concept of survivor stealth is GONE. It’s all just about running and trying to get gens done fast which is damn near impossible with OP extreme mobility killers running aura perks and gen slow downs vs a ragtag team of mismatched survivors.

Solo survivors play as one post above described: they join hoping for a fun game. But when faced with OP BS and/or horrible teammates they often leave and move on to try and find a fairer match. So take some responsibility and play fair. BHVR isn’t going to do anything to help the situation so try looking at how YOU contribute and change THAT and see what happens.

So some people signed up and knew what could happen in the game but they are justified to EWO because of it? They paid for a game that has a TOS and is expected to play it out unless for legitimate reasons like getting ddos'd or emergency matters. If that wasn't the case there wouldn't be a penalty for dc'ing in the first place but because they can bypass that because something they don't like/didn't go their way happened means they should have a receipt to go shop for another match... Yeah no.

If you think old PGTW is less oppressive than Eruption, you're out of your mind. PGTW was a 20% instant regresion just for KICKING a gen with the only condition being playing the game, while Eruption is roughly 15% total regression if a survivor is Incapacitated by it, or a measly 8 if nobody is there, ASSUMING the killer gets a down before the gen just completes.

Yeah but compared to eruption old pop could be countered in solos reliably with repressed alliance. Used to not be that way because pop had a 60 second timer but ever since the nerf to 45 seconds you can just pop it immediately when you hear a TR and their pop is usless on a gen thats 80%.

You'll be fine. Just bait it out.

OP is complaining about seeing it every match not how powerful it can be and yeah it does get boring seeing the same 1 perk on at least 2 survivors every match.

  • I still love how iris are supposed to be an addon tier that "changes the playstyle" for a lot of killers but for the last couple of years they havent been following that very well ever since blight.

  • Yeah some maps can just afford survivors to camp pallets then hold W.

  • Its just useless to remove filters because there will always be monitors/tvs that make things more vibrant or lighter.
