Wow, okay then, goodbye everybody. 👋

Spinechill or kindred for solo survivor play.
We think alike.
I know i said Devour Hope, but B&C is definitely high up.
And the other 2 are also some of my faves.

Dumb. The DC penalty’s inability to determine whether or not it was on purpose makes it stupid to have in the first place. You ought to be able to have a chance to rejoin until the match is over to avoid it or take a lesser penalty. In a game filled with bugs and risk of internet issues or other frustrations setting in there needs to be more leniency.
Doesn't take away the point that the general mindset is to just have stable internet for these kinds of games.
The developers have that mindset too, and decided to incentivize people to have a stable connection by putting disconnectors on a temporary, gradually-increasing ban.
You can dislike it and want changes to it, but they're not going to remove DC penalties because your connection screwed you over, that's not their problem to fix.
Again, not dismissing having to DC because of glitches & bugs, that absolutely sucks.
-
If you accidentally disconnected because your internet was being screw-y, that tells the game that you don't have a stable connection, at least not at the time.
You must have that for the game, and the game can't help you with that, so it will punish you for not having it until you do have it.
Idk about the other stuff you mentioned, but a stable connection is pretty much required for online-only games.
-
Oh right, guess i should join.
Hex: Devour Hope, for its potential to be the most dangerous Perk.
-
Only ever click.
-
Would be kinda cool if there was a toggle button for interactions.
-
If tunneling is chasing you until you're on the hook, then i tunnel.
Why? I love carrying "hook them"-based Perks: Pop Goes The Weasel, Make Your Choice, Barbecue & Chili, Hex: Devour Hope, you name it.
Not Monstrous Shrine though, get outta here.
-
That'll never be allowed, cause people would just put a silent music file instead.

Depends on what you mean by "skill". If you judge only by results only than you could say they lack skill. But then you'd have to say Spirit players are just good because they can hear and Clown players are less skilled because they're clown.
I'd measure it based on relative to others in the same situation. I don't believe its fair to just call the whole console player base worse players with how different the two are.
So while console players might not have less skill on a per person basis, they can't preform as well as pc players in a lot of cases just because of the limits they have. A good console player is not the same as a good pc player.
Performance/results =/= skill all the time. To phrase it another way: should I say you're less skilled because you lost with Clown on Ormond? No of course not. Same for console players, they just have a disadvantage and have to deal with more problems unfortunately. You take the same player and add more problems to their plate, are they less skilled? No. Will they preform as well? Also no.
The question shouldn't really be about skill, since the conditions are so different. The issue is the limitations, not the players. So its not that console players are less skilled, its just they have more problems to deal with that hinder them. Not even getting into other things like frame issues.
Are they less skilled? No I don't think so. Do they preform as well with that skill though? Also no.
I wasn't talking about just results, i personally do see a drop in skill in-game, as shown in my first comment.

I'd say that's more a controller limitation thing. It takes much longer to look around on console. Say I'm looking right, if you're coming from the left it could take me a good second or 2 to even look over that way, let alone react. Not to mention lets say you come right after I turn away, it could take 2-4 seconds to look back that way. Whereas on pc is just flip, flip, flip.
Same with running, its very easy to run into a wall if you're looking behind you because of how long looking back then looking forward again can take all together, so a lot of console players play in a way they look forward as much as they can afford. Console you have to look back and judge how long you can look forward based on distance from the killer and if you have time to look back again. Again, on pc its just flip, flip, flip.
Yeah, i know controllers can be limiting in that way.
But whether it's skill that's limited or the console that's limited, the result hardly differs for me as their Killer.
Also, since controllers are a potential limiter, you can still question if they can truly be more skillful than that, or that they have the same amount of skill as someone who's limited to a controller.
What i mean is: If you take someone from console-exclusively to PC-exclusively, they obviously won't immediately be better.
But would they grow over time or not?

Never actually played L4D, but hey I could see it. On the issue of him being smaller, I'm pretty sure something similar happened to Oni. In his reveal trailer, Oni was absolutely massive but in game he's pretty much just a regular buff tall dude. Pyramid Head is bigger, but then again he has a really pointy hat.
Well Oni's original, so they could do whatever they want to it.
I'm not a Silent Hill follower, but i don't think being huge is his main thing: He has a massive cleaver and wears a big, pyramid-shaped, metal helmet.
Tank with his knuckles on the ground like a gorilla is like 3 people wide.
They could reduce his size to make it work, but it'd be such a massive reduction that, to me, it'll just seem so silly.
Being huge is his thing.
-
Tank from L4D.
His punch packs way too much power to only make them be Injured, but an M1 that insta-downs all the time is just bad.
His size is troublesome for tight spaces & vaults.
His rock-throw would be a worse version of Hunting Hatchets, as it'd take way too long in this game.
Love the guy and really wanted him in for a while, but now, if they put him in, he'd be so much smaller and so much weaker, i would find it disrespectful.
-
Oh absolutely.
Ever since consoles joined my lobbies, there's been more running straightforward without plans and/or purpose.
I mean they'll use loops like normal, but from what i'm seeing, they don't look back as often, and thus going around and hitting them on the other side is somewhat more easy to pull off.
They also seem to like to 360 a lot more, which just never works.
-
Do you rage?
No.
Do you blame yourself for it?
Usually.
Do you blame the survivors for being too good?
There's no such thing.
Do you look back and see what you could of have done differently?
No.
Do you put on an ebony mori for your next match?
No.
Do you play a stronger killer next match?
No.
What i usually feel after getting no kills: "Oh well, next trial then."
-
Cause it's not his turn to get buffs.
Not even kidding, that's most likely the reason IF this is what they want for him.
-
A giant shark from Jaws, or that movie of swarms of murderous crows.
-
I don't actually mind that mentality, only when it's the only mentality they can bring up.
I think it'd be healthy for the community if you can see it from both the Just-Us-Players perspective as well as the Us-VS-Them perspective.
One perspective will allow you to determine what's healthy for both sides, and the other can bring up issues and fun ideas for a side.
Of course, this'll never happen.
-
Especially the low framerate issues with...well, loads of things, i find to be priority #1, and those that have existed since years ago, quite inexcusable.
It's a console, there's no upgrading it besides buying a whole new version that's more powerful, which also doesn't matter if those suffer from those issues too.
-
Turn Hex: Devour Hope's 2-Token bonus into something else.
Don't have an idea right now, just really dislike that bonus.

we have both opinions if Stadia lags or works smoothly, I guess it depends on your connection, ping, zone, devices connected, time...
It's not an opinion, it just doesn't work for some people, doesn't matter how good their gear is.
I'm not in the middle of nowhere, servers that Google uses are more than closeby enough.
Stadia just isn't optimal yet.
-
Last time i tried Stadia, it lagged like hell.
I easily passed the requirements to play on Stadia btw, it's just not reliable.
It works fine for one, it's terrible for the other.
-
Yeah, that's a hack.
Someone posted a video of that here, and the mod said it was a hack.
-
I'm not unhappy with free stuff, that's silly.
But i'm not liking the way events are developing, or rather: Regressing.
Yes, i think they're regressing because less ideas are being made and it's moreso just: "Hey, let's put it in the Rift!"
Involving the Rift is fine to me, but nothing changes about the regular gameplay unlike 2 years ago.
Also, there have just been way less events this year.
The artistic part of the team is doing fantastic though, it's like those guys are on a constant upward trend in terms of quality.
Well, excluding the reskins.
-
Not denying your point, but because Killers have different Killer Powers, someone is going to be at the bottom.
If changes bring them out of the bottom, 2 others will be picked less to end up there.

No Exhaustion doesn't go down if you run. However, 5 seconds is almost nothing. If they make it to a pallet and drop it they can easily wait for the Exhaustion to go away while you break or mind game it.
Nice, that's all i need.
Thanks!

I don't know THE fastest way, but getting Deviousness Bloodpoints on Wraith is pretty easy to me, it's actually rare for me to not get 8k in that category, and that's without Distressing.
So i'd recommend that, but there's probably someone who knows a better way.

Probably but whenever a update comes out people always talk about the perk changes and stuff but here none no one has been talking about it
- Hmmm, enough threads were about how unnecessarily PGTW was nerfed, and how the reason for its nerf should also mean DS should get nerfed.
- I've seen a post questioning if WGLF even got an update, as they claim it could already obtain Tokens in the "new" way.
- I think @TheClownIsKing made a post on new Discordance, sorry for tagging you if i'm wrong.
- Multiple people agree with you on Thanatophobia.
- @TheClownIsKing loves Forced Penance even more now, i know that one for sure.
- Hex: Huntress Lullaby is mixed, one doesn't like that it's just healing & repairing now, the other likes that the warning isn't there immediately.
- Technician is now seen as less appealing for new players, as many mistakes will lead to much more regression.
That's about all i can remember right now.
-
I don't think people forgot.
They either already spoke their mind, or it's just cause this event is the new thing to talk about.
-
OH!
THIS is why Pig has a large kill rate!
Everyone just keeps booping, EndGame Collapse or not.
-
I actually kinda like that one.
It's like a cane.
-
Complain less about Killers and help out your team.
Honestly...Yes.
And though i'm a Killer main, i'm not trying to turn it into an Us VS. Them argument.
It's somehow (almost) never the other Survivors' fault if one who died is mad, it's always the Killer.
Surely the Killer can use tactics to quickly screw over 1 Survivor, but especially with my no-camping-and-tunneling attitude, if someone dies a quick death, it's because of the others not taking the completely free chance to save them.

That locker looks oddly colorful for this game.

The truth. It just depends on how much you want the cosmetics. The last rift was great, "the thing" hag was worth buying to me. Nothing in the current rift looks good enough now though.
I "skipped" the 2nd Rift altogether. (I mean i did the free stuff, but there wasn't anything on the Rift that i was going for.)
This one will probably be at least a Premium skip.
But again: Got over 60 days to think about it. 🤷♂️
-
Really depends on your tastes.
@kcwolf1975 is right though: You can postpone your decision until the very last day, since buying premium means you immediately get every tier on premium that you already have on the free track.
-
Since i'm only interested in Wraith cosmetics, i actually am a little bit disappointed.
The cosmetic pieces just have some light-green goop on the basic clothing, like it's Prestige cosmetics, but light-green instead.
And the final Charm on the paid track i also find quite uninteresting, and it doesn't glow nor is it animated.
-
Yeah, this is a thing.
Not really an issue to me though.
-
Not that i don't believe you, but i'd love to see a screenshot of this.

Yeah. Overall, I think it is an outstanding bonus for simply logging into the game. However, it won't really help with buying the Halloween cosmetics (although it would be good for buying a new character).
I can understand why people could be disappointed with this amount.
But right now, all i can think of is that they're discounting IS prices and are giving them away just for logging in.
Now a new hope is born in my mind, a hope that they do more with IS.

The in-game announcement states that we'll get about 10k shards for logging in daily.
Welp, those totals sure help easily with the calculations.
10k, huh?
-
How out of place am i to not miss it?
I'm not saying it's good that it's gone, but miss it?
Nah.

Well damn, that just makes it even worse then. That means you'd have to grind an extra 5000 shards for the second outfit.
Btw, it's not really your fault, your calculations are fine.
The picture itself says Oct 30 twice & Nov 1 twice, so it's easy to mess it up.
I think that this is what they mean...
- From the start of Oct 24th to the end of Oct 29th.
- From the start of Oct 30th to the end of Oct 31st.
- From the start of Nov 1st to the end of Nov 4th.
@MandyTalk @Gay Myers (Luzi) @Gcarrara @Peanits Does this sound about right?

Excuse my lack of skill or attempt at calculating. But that would be less shards then?
Don't worry, it got me too at my first calculation.
But indeed, it's less than 13k.
-
That's not correct btw, you're counting the last day of the first 2 bonuses twice, and the first day of the last 2 bonuses twice.
-
Goodbye, Mother's Dwelling!
-
Wraith may be close to Clown, but a full Add-on rework shouldn't be necessary.
I'd put him in "most".
His Killer Power itself could also use some things.
