Hi. I deleted two pages. Please have civil discussions.I was being civil now my posts are gone 😥
Main points: This has been done before and didn't work. Incentivize killers to leave a hook by rewarding them, not punishing them.
That is all.

I always just kill them fast and would rather them do the same for me. A farming match isn't fun. I'd rather just end it fast so we can all move on.
-
It's true. Luckily the average survivor even at rank 1 makes lots of mistakes. However when you actually get a good group or a SWF you really see how busted it can be. If the survivors don't make mistakes you lose. There are only a few killers that can actually make plays happen without needing the survivors to mess up which is why they are at the top. This is basically the issue you get when the devs balance the game around low ranks.

Does nobody remember all the posts about to many leftover offerings. They increased the base number of event objectives and toned down the frequency, feels alot better than the heavy need for and overabundance of the last event offering. It's because they missed the problem entirely. The issue wasn't too many offerings. The issue was that there were offerings to even begin with. It should just allow everyone to participate and get the blood points with no offerings required.

There are way, way more toxic survivors. It's like not even remotely close.

I try to not get attention on those cuz they are useless for their team.
But it pisses off sometimes. It's essentially them doing anything that isn't actually related to their objective and is being done for the sole purpose of trying to make the killer mad and taunt them.

The blood point gains are complete and utter garbage. They could literally double them and they'd still be a trash amount, that's how low it is right now.
Also, giving the killer extra objectives to do when they already don't have even close to enough time for their normal objective was just very poorly thought out. Hell at least highlight the lanterns for the killer after the hook to know where to go. Poor planning.

It's the easiest changes for them to implement without a lot of work.
You can moonwalk blood trails with every killer. Why would Legion a chase oriented killer not be able to do that?
Because it's not an issue with any other killer. Against any other killer the survivor isn't forced to stop and Mend. He shouldn't be able to because it results in a zero skill match that's boring for both sides. There's zero counter play.
Not all situations are supposed to have counters. Is it great till with? Not at all, and that comes from someone who is pretty much a killer main. Legion needs a rework that solves their problems, but not being able to follow blood isn't even close to solving the issue. If that were the case, No Mither would be a great perk to have against Legion, but its the opposite. Even if you get rid of seeing blood all Legion has to do to is just break chase by looking away and still walking you're general path. The player isn't gonna stop hearing you and it isn't hard for Legion to break chase because they're slow. You'd still need to stop and mend which allows them to catch up to you.
" Not all situations are supposed to have counters"
I'm sorry but I think this is just a completely stupid statement and entirely wrong."Legion needs a rework that solves their problems, but not being able to follow blood isn't even close to solving the issue."
I also never said this was the end all, be all fix for him. It was simply one thing he needed in a list of others."If that were the case, No Mither would be a great perk to have against Legion, but its the opposite."
No Mither IS a great perk against Legion as there is currently no need to heal against him at all."Even if you get rid of seeing blood all Legion has to do to is just break chase by looking away and still walking you're general path."
The entire reason that strat works is because even though he's looking away the blood allows him to follow you. If there isn't blood he wouldn't be seeing what direction you were going, so no it wouldn't work anyway. -

KingB said:@Nickenzie it's not really anymore scummy than camping. I personally wouldn't care as survivor, I would be happy to see some variation at the higher ranks. I never see pigs anymore and I've only had one RBT pop and that was when I wanted to see it.
I love going against a pig, her traps give the survivors another objective and it spices the game up! That's why we need Amanda to be at least a A tier killer because she is so fun to play as and against!

+1
Some small changes to her could do so much. She's right on the cusp of A tier and only needs a little nudge. I just want her crouch and ambush made more viable if nothing else.
-
A very good idea, they need something and the glow looks quite cool.
-
Huntress is good but the other 2 look bad imo
-
Doesn't bother me at all, they're very easy to avoid and look away.
-
I'd like some small buffs for Pig but making the traps more lethal isn't the way imo. If anything let's make Rule Set #2 baseline or maybe a guarenteed no key always on the first box. These kind of changes improves the time they waste and makes them more reliable without really making them more deadly.
Her biggest issues aren't her traps though, it's her crouch and ambush. She needs a higher view point on crouching and the sound on her ambush needs to be removed. Those are the major things she really needs and if nothing else about her gets changed it NEEDS to be these.
Other things I'd like to see are the penalty on Amanda's Letter removed. It's a decent addon but nothing that crazy to deserve any negatives. Some of her addons relating to box search speed, skill check chances and skilll check penalties are all quite underwhelming as well and could use a little love.
-
Thanata is trash. Even in the best circumstance possible it's still trash, never use it till it gets buffed.
BBQ and MYC combo on her is godlike and I highly recommend it. 3rd I like Ruin for the slow down, basically mandatory. Lastly I take Stridor. Her entire game play relies on her hearing and Stridor just makes it even better, highly recommend it as well.
Whispers is better for killers with low mobility, Spirit isn't weak in that area, she can cover the map quite quick so I think there are better choices. Nurses is always a decent perk and a safe bet if you like it, I just prefer the others. Sloppy also thrown in is another choice I think is worth considering.
BBQ, MYC, Ruin, Stridor are her best perks imo and I feel quite strongly about that

Love the idea +1

It's crazy. For any level 50 character that's a 50-70k red envelope because you have to go through the whole bloodweb to get one, and considering how many points we need to get all cosmetics with them going up by 100 with each coin, it's kind of ridiculous.^^^
You spend way more blood points doing a web to get the Red Envelope than you actually get from it. It also forces you to level up the character you're going to play with in order to have Red Envelopes so you can't even level up the character you want.
This wasn't thought out at all and it's the same mistakes we had from the Hallowed Blight all over again. -
Like others have said it's because they didn't balance the sides properly..again. Survivor side is free points with basically no extra work. While killers have to waste extra time that they already do not have to go and find the lanterns after a hook and smash them. Halloween all over again.

Regarding number 2: This is still the case, as the red envelope description mentions. Additional envelopes will cause more vessels to spawn. In terms of bloodpoints, it may seem lower on the surface, but you gain bloodpoints from multiple sources. Rather than getting one lump sum, it is spread out across several actions.
It isn't just on "the surface". You get far less bonus bloodpoints than previous events. It's not even close either. Previous events playing as a killer I would typically get around 27500 to 38500 bonus bloodpoints per game when I brought an offering. This event I'm getting around maybe 5000 bonus bloodpoints.

Seconds as a killer is MASSIVE when there are THREE other survivors hammering gens. You are underestimating that time a lot.
Tbagging and flashlight flicking doesn't get you killed because of how unbalanced the game is. They can just do it all they want at a pallet and simply move on to the next. Also, those seconds wasted on ONE survivor is hurting your killer time much, much more than the time he is wasting. The seconds aren't equal.
I play killer too, there were times that I literally got somebody because of tbagging (not flashlight clicking though)
It is true that killer has that time problem but getting that one hook might fck up survivors badly too. It just happened to me yesterday when I was playing killer, all survivors later flamed that dude who was trying to bm and getting caught easily because of that.
Also slashing somebody on the hook is not the only bm killers can do as well. They can nod at you, very similar to tbag which takes no time at all since you can do it on the move.
That's anecdotal.
In general it's just that survivors have tons of extra time to just screw around where as the killers do not. That's the simple answer.

The killer whacking you on the hook is punishing him by wasting time. Survivors tbagging and flashlight flicking behind pallets doesn't hurt their time so there's no punishment.1 hit takes maybe 2 seconds, not a great punishment.
Tbagging behind a pallet might get you killed, so does flashlight click.
Both sides can get away with their BMs easily. No need to put one side over the other in this situation.

They only reason people complain about event based blood point bonuses instead of just giving us a blanket double blood point event is because the event blood points are always way, way lower amounts than we would have received from a typical double blood point event. They just need to start making the bonus blood points we get from doing the events much higher than they are, where as the amounts we get now are just so underwhelming. Not to mention during these events that we also have to waste blood points just to get the envelopes to participate in the first place.

+1 very annoying
It also forces you to level up the character you want to play. I want to play Spirit for instance but I already have every perk on her so I don't want to keep leveling her up just to be able to get the offerings and participate in the event.
-
I'm curious if they even have a Q&A team as well.
-
The BHVR QA team drops the ball A LOT
This isn't like an odd situational bug. They could have literally played ONE game and seen this issue.

We're getting the extra blood points I believe, it's just an extremely low amount that isn't that noticeable.

Wow. I can't get over how many of the players on this forum are so entitled to what they see as theirs. There is absolutely nothing wrong with the hatch. We are not entitled to 4k. If they do two gens and that is it and the 4th gets the hatch, I lose zero sleep over it. I'd rather that than some drawn out hide and seek. If players have zero hope other than the gates, we will have far less survivors and no game to play.Get over your entitled mentality already.
You're missing the point, it's not a 4k entitlement. Entitlement means it is undeserved.
What if when the gates were powered one survivor just auto falls over dead. BRO you're not entitled to escape EVERY GAME. You see what I mean?
Killers aren't upset because they didn't get a 4k. They are upset because they won the game and EARNED the kill. The survivor lost, they didn't earn the escape. Just like a survivor auto dying on gate powering would make you mad because you had earned the escape.
You fail to understand the point of the game. The hatch fits the horror genre perfectly. Everyone dies, but one did just enough to squeeze out. The survival rate is below 50%. If you take the hatch away, you discourage survivor play even more. The hatch is not a given for a survivor. I rarely get it when I play, but I usually let them take it when I play killer. I play killer much more than I play survivor, but survivor is flat out boring.
As for "winning the game" - you did not EARN that 4th kill unless you downed that 4th survivor before the hatch. That is the plain fact of it. If I don't down you before you hop through the hatch, oh well. Well played. I know you don't like hearing that, but it is the plain fact of the game.
I don't think you understand the point of the game. I'm also not saying to remove the hatch entirely, just not its current free escape for nothing. The survival rate is also at the rate it is NOT because of balance but because of skewed statistics from things like NOED. Survivor is boring because it is too easy and heavily skewed in their favor.
You DID earn the 4k because they didn't complete the gens. That last person cannot complete the rest the gens on their own BECAUSE they lost. If they hadn't lost then they'd still be doing gens. You aren't presenting facts you are presenting opinions and a misunderstanding of the games balance.

I'll have to disagree with Up The Ante being a good perk because luck only affects unhook escape attempts and bear traps. Increasing the overall luck % by 1 and giving you an option to pick 1 of 3 randomly generated items makes the perk feel more alive. You actually feel lucky since you could get an item you need easier than before.
My mistake, mixing it up with Ace in the Hole. Yeah Up the Ante is pretty trash right now.

Looked like the usual killer main complaint rant about facing 16 perks along with 4 instaheals, DS, AD, DH etc.and you used this in another thread as well.
Second, look up the definition of anecdotal evidence.
Well take your own advice then and stop posting stuff in your responses as well.
I wreck and 4k plenty of SWF groups as well, that doesn't mean ANYTHING. You wrecked them because they played badly
You obviously just skimmed over it and or totally ignored where I said they destroyed me earlier because they played well. You know like I stated right here in the exact same post you quoted me on.
@powerbats said:
That was a 4 man premade that destroyed me before on Corn map and I also played that map horribly
>and there are plenty of bad SWF groups just like there are good ones. The general principal we have applied of how by being SWF they have access to a multitude of extra perks that the game wasn't balanced around still applies. A killer can use speed hacks and still lose, that doesn't mean speed hacks aren't OP it just means as a human he can and sometimes will play stupid.
No, they don't have access to a multitude of extra perks and that's one of the more bad illogical arguments on here yet. They have access to 4 perk slots and the same 45 perks that solo players have. They can't magically take an extra perk nor can they magically take perks that aren't even in the game.
Wait what a killer can use speed hacks and lose, did you actually put that total nonsense in there and believe it would actually fly. Now you'll say you were just kidding or were being literal which would be yet another whopper.
Ok now you're just grasping for straws here with that whole plays tupid with hacks thing since you knew it sounded bad and are just trying to duck and cover.
Also, using spirit is like using nurse and saying swf are fine. Spirit is probably one of the few exception killers like nurse.
Oh so if i do this as Trapper are you going to use the same fallacy, how about Freddy, or if I can 3-4k as Trapper?
It's like I keep saying you and the other vocal minority on here will make and come up with any excuse for when someone does good against swf.
There's well the survivors were potatoes, the killer got lucky, it was a bad map for survivors, they made too many mistakes ( well duh), they were deranking etc.
As @Master says the only pure counter to good swf is a Nurse because she ignores game mechanics but again if she does good it's not because the killer played well.
" No, they don't have access to a multitude of extra perks and that's one of the more bad illogical arguments on here yet. If you can't see how SWF has access to extra perks then I can't help you, it's quite obvious. Yes there are literally only 4 perks slots to equip, that's not what we're talking about.
" Wait what a killer can use speed hacks and lose, did you actually put that total nonsense in there and believe it would actually fly."
I put this here to show how stupid your comparisons were. By your reaction it appears it connected.
" It's like I keep saying you and the other vocal minority on here will make and come up with any excuse for when someone does good against swf."
I'm the majority not the minority, you're mixing up our positions.
" Oh so if i do this as Trapper are you going to use the same fallacy, how about Freddy, or if I can 3-4k as Trapper? "
You missed the point entirely. It's that you are picking exceptions rather than the norm.
"There's well the survivors were potatoes, the killer got lucky, it was a bad map for survivors, they made too many mistakes ( well duh), they were deranking etc."
If you hear it that much maybe it's time to reflect and that you might actually be the one confused.

Higher view point in crouch ( it currently doesn't match how high you actually are )
Rule Set #2 at base ( this is a joke to have as an Ultra Rare )I agree.
And it is in my discusion.Amanda's Letter shouldn't have the trap reduction penalty (it's decent, but not that amazing that it's deserving of a downside )
Buff her addons affecting skill check chances and pentalties during box searches ( they are quite underwhelming )Yes the skillchecks are rly easy.
The first 2 are the biggest must haves imo, so if anything at least do those. The rest are in order of importance if there's time for more. With all these changes she would be much more viable and quite balanced.
And every killer should be viable.
There's quite a lot of other good ideas in OP's post but I just think it's WAY too much for this dev team. They need something that's much easier and faster to implement. All those changes are like an entire new killer worth of work.
Its rly much work, but addons are rly important for killers.
And Amanda doesnt have many good addons.
The reverse Beartraps addons arent good, because its RNG with the Jigsaw boxes.
And the other addons for her dash are ok, but not rly good.
I think she has 4-6 good addons.Btw i hope they will make the Freddy rework first, then Bubba and then maybe pig?
I'd rather see Pig ahead of Bubba but I mean that's just because I like Pig more.
I'd agree as well, all killers should be viable and currently I'd only put 3 killers as viable with another 2 as a maybe. That's at least half the killers that aren't up to par.
Pig is my main killer.
But Bubba just need a complete rework.
And pig need basic things and addons.
But maybe in some years, all killers are viable.I was saying that 2 years ago but here we are lol. Bubba was definitely a rushed release without much thought into him.
Pig is very close to being in a good spot, she only needs a few things and she'll be there.
Would be funny, if the devs will use some things from this discussion.
Or test this things in the PTB.
I rly like some Fan-made addons.I'd like it as well if they went a little crazier with the PTB. PTB doesn't always have to have intended changes in it. They could throw some more extreme changes into it just for people to test them out and see if they like it. Similar to what they did with the recent Legion and SC changes that were on PTB. They weren't intended for implementation but more to throw them out there and just see what people thought.
Hopefully they see this page and take in some of the changes we've presented.
Hard to imagine matches where stealth killers getting surprise attacks is actually threatening enough that people start running Premonition or Spine Chill.

You got some good points I'd agree with but I think you over complicated it some. The devs have very little resources and are very slow on changes. They need something that is very quick and easy to implement.
Just get rid of the cheese nonsense of following blood backwards. Then give him normal 115% move speed like you said, followed by a longer base duration Feral Frenzy.
This moves his Feral Frenzy to being used to apply pressure and slow down the survivors. They will also now waste time healing against him because he has 115% move speed and can just M1 them if they stay injured.
It's the easiest changes for them to implement without a lot of work.

I like the changes. Picking the item for Up The Ante is a little finicky though. It's a good perk as is already.

The timer is there so you have to make a choice, either go kick a gen, camp or chase a survivor. If we want to keep that type of choice with the perk then the amount it removes of gen progress would just need to be increased massively.
