Which is pretty funny honestly as Spirit is way more broken then Billy

BBQ, Weasel, Haunted Grounds/Infectious Fright, Make Your Choice

High mid tier in a map that suits him with good perks and game sense
Low tier in any open map especially the big ones
-
Yeah it's no fun playing as Ghostface and getting sent to Autohaven lodge which is one of the most open maps in the entire game so your power is practically irrelevant
-
As a player who uses bamboozle a lot that would be far too much and require a rework of a ton of loops to compensate for it. Even if it was only for a few seconds it would break a TON of window loops
Most notably the killer shack.

If your playing Trap killers such as Trapper, Hag, or even stealth characters such as Michael or Ghostface
It's far more beneficial to use Corrupt Intervention if you have trouble keeping up pressure and hate seeing 2 gens done super fast
-
All's well that ends well
I know what I'm getting into if I see multiple survivors join up at once. As long as the SWF is respectable, doesn't immediately rush the gens and finish the game within 3 minutes and we both have fun I don't care
SWF is always going to be stronger, you can't change that
-
I remember hating de-ranking when I was a new player for the first few months. It's simply incredibly unfair as the game puts players with hundreds of hours all the way back to green-yellow ranks which is just absolutely absurd as any new survivors or killers will get absolutely smashed to pieces by them
I've been playing since October 2018 so now I actually can't wait for reset day. So it's a pretty terrible system and cycle all around
-
May I please ask if the portraits will be ready soon?

As much as I would love this, it would be a HUGE hassle to contact all the license holders for what's probably going to a be between 1-4 mins worth of cutscenes for a single character. Maybe in the very far future but for the initial release, absolutely not.
You realize it wouldn't be everything at once? If they can't have all the license characters in the archive at once they'll likely have a few around
I imagine the Pig, Ghostface, and Ash will have some lore day one as will the Stranger Things chapter and then it'll just go forward from there
-
Against a SWF it's pointless. The reason why Spy is viable is because TF2 is a chaotic shooter and even in small 6v6 competitive lobbies, eventually players have to turn their backs and engage the enemy players. It also helps that TF2 is a first person game which DBD is not. Spy works because he's not the primary enemy and he's merely one player amongst 6-12, the killer is the only enemy in DBD.
A disguised killer is pointless in DBD's gameplay as a SWF can very easily ask in voice chat "Hey is that you over there walking towards me?", "No","Alright, guys killer's coming towards me, Survivor proceeds to run to nearest loop"
Wow what a great power. While I agree it would be cool this kind of power simply can't work in DBD not unless it's just a free secondary power in conjunction with a very strong primary.
Honestly they should just rework Legion so that he's the only killer with third person like Survivors. Have that be his unique stat

You have no idea how much I HATE playing against Trapper, I don't understand how people can run about carelessly when playing against Trapper because I get inconsolably paranoid about standing in his traps.
As a Trapper player I'm going to tell you the greatest way to counter his power. A unleashing of knowledge so great that you may not quite comprehend it at first. But in time it will all become clear

I actually forgot to use Pig traps my first 5 games with her. Survivors in post-game say "um why didn't you use traps?" I told them honestly that I had just forgotten about them. :)

Oh absolutely, playing both sides is essential so you don't become bitter or biased. Every-Time I feel frustrated playing Killer I play survivor in so doing I remind myself that survivors have a lot to deal with too. Thus I can keep making my lobbies fun for everyone and not become a toxic Omega Nurse with eboni mories because I had bad games
My motto is it doesn't matter if you won if you were a prick, ungrateful and had to ruin the fun of everyone else. Better to have sportsmanship then to be that P3 Claudette running the meta perks and immediately leaves her team to die so she can shout "Ezgame-EZkiller get owned"
-
The Ebony Mori holds a special place amongst the offerings
In order to posses it you must sacrifice that which you love most
-
That actually explains a lot. No wonder why the killer FOV feels so pushed in
They still haven't bloody fixed it, After all this time? REALLY?
-
Plague design, lore, and power is infinitely better then Legion
That said I don't play either as though Plague's power is better I just don't find it interesting. Plus she's very hard to mindgame with because she's so insanely tall
-
Mettle Of Man was just stupid
Against the 3 meta killers it pretty much just extended the chase. Billy had his insta down, Nurse has teleports behind you, and Spirit can just keep zooming
The only killers it truly countered were the M1ers. Which made playing them ridiculously annoying as it allowed survivors to have four potential health states with dead hard and mettle of man. The fact it could also counter insta downs such as Myers tier 3, Rancor, NOED, was just absolutely absurd
Mettle of man deserved it's nerfs. It was a crutch that broke the game balancing, gave Ash a bad name, and deserves to linger in complete obscurity like old Legion
Mettle of man deserves a complete rework, not a buff
-
No, please, no
No more indirect nerfs to Pig and it's already ridiculously easy to escape from a Bear Trap. If I had a dollar for the amount of times I as a survivor or seen survivors get out on their first try or second, I could buy a boatload of auric cells.
A 25% escape chance would ensure Trapper would always have to run Honing Stone if Small Game became popular. Which while unlikely considering the four meta perks are set in stone, it's still a perk that would hard counter his entire power

I'd like to see the killer basements personalised but personalised per map - the same as hooks. Otherwise it's pretty easy to spawn in the shack for example then see the Wraith's themed basement and know it's a Wraith you are facing...so personalise per map would probably be better.
True but then other killers such as Pig, Plague, Freddy, Billy, Trapper, and Nurse
All have either structures, sounds, or effects that give away their identity immediately. Though I do agree characters like Myers and Ghostface would suffer from it quite a bit
Perhaps the basement could be locked to survivors until the killer starts a chase with one of them.

Nah, most killers used to do that all the time, but now it happens way too often and they just want to play a normal game for once, what better way then to just move everyone onto a new match? Blame the little crybabies that DC, the killer isnt to blame in that situation
Yeah especially during the great DC storm a few months ago where every few matches were filled with DCs. I simply couldn't let the survivors farm every match because I had been doing it for bloody the entire day
But yeah it's really up to the killer's view, I've been on the receiving end of a try-hard showing no mercy when we had a DC but he was also trying to get adapt (Though that's pointless as the DC killed your chances immediately)
But again you can't force another player to play how you want. It's up to each individual player to decide what they want to do with their time. Farming matches go on much longer then normal matches and the killer may not have much time left to play. I may be fine with farming and being nice to survivors because I respect everyone's time and fun in my lobbies and because it's what I do, what others do you have no control over.
Demanding players to do something that benefits you is exactly why a lot of people don't do it, so cool it with the rule book
Okay?

Sometimes people suicide on the hook because they see that their team is not helping and they know that they're going to die on that hook anyway so they try to hurry up the process as well to move onto the next game.
I don't know why I even run Kindred anymore, the amount of times the entire team just stops what they are doing and huddle around the hook area happens far, FAR, too bloody often
And if not it's the other case where all 3 are at opposite ends and corners of the map and let me go all the way into struggle without lifting a finger
At least they get paid back sometimes, when Dying Light procs because I was the obsession

Killers can be a little dense sometimes. They're mostly non-verbal, so Sign Language is best. Try squatting up and down, or using your gesture options. That's the best way to get on his good side. 😏
You'd be surprised how many players are from Team Fortress 2 and respect survivors crouching over to them
If I see it I'll let you live 9 times out of 10

Just gotta hope the killer will recognize your situation, be nice and kill the rest
Try and communicate with him

I suggest you to try the new Legion, I think it's really underwhelming
Absolutely not, I know how he is I've played a few games with him both before and after his rework and seen streamers play him
The character has never interested me after the novetly of being able to vault over pallets wore off, similar situation with Ghostface come to think of it
I'll stick with the others plus they have way cooler designs then some dummies with a hunting knife

Yes the last perk was stfl, and I don't think my survivors were that smart to consistently do group healing. I think the issue is that when you double hook everyone with a bad killer like legion you waste a lot of precious time
The one thing you should do is never underestimate the opponent, now I don't play very much of Legion due to the fact I hate his design and find his power boring
But if your playing Legion then Thana is enough as Legion's power is designed to keep everyone injured
-
@DBDbuildsYT said:
I am also playing without ruin but using pgtw plus sloppy butcher and thanatophobia to slow down the game, this is with legion.
Despite this setup, even in matches where I keep the whole team injured for the majority of the match, I still struggle to win, unless i tunnel.
Most matches are 25/28k with 1/2 kills and most f the time 7/8 hooks
This is green/purple ranks on ps4
Going for Thana and Butcher isn't necessary. If survivors are group healing each other that's only going to cut off a few seconds and generally if they are using self care you actually want them to be healing continually as that's 30 seconds they could be doing gens
If you apply too much of a debuff, competent survivors are just going to do gens and wait for someone to heal them. In regards to pressure Your goal should be to have one person hooked as much as you can, if you simply keep them all injured that's not enough to keep them from doing generators, competent and average survivors are comfortable being injured and will just keep committing to gen repair. Now it's good to have everyone injured and I try to myself but devoting two perks just to that is a bad idea
Run Save The Best For Last

True I understand that, but it would be fun to be able to cooperate with other killers and even party up with friends like Survivors can

I was not talking about the killers.Plus if this game was realistic or any other horror survival game in that sense the survivors would be screwed. The killers are given superhuman strength and reflexes by the entity. So yeah the killers would be more than enough to take over a city, then again i was not talking about the killers being entitys minions which they are but my point was not them.
Oh absolutely not
The killers could never take over a city a small town sure but the moment a proper response like SWAT or even the National Guard came in they'd be bloody destroyed

I'm just saying. If killers can put up fake ones we should be able to rebuild them.
-
That would be a really great buff but would make it too strong. It's something I've wanted myself but it would be too strong it would essentially eliminate almost all stealth options survivors have
-
Considering the entity's minions can be hurt and defeated by running in a circle with a pallet
Good gravy the absolute salughter they would recieve in the real world would be sad

"survivors not liking how I played. As killer my job is to kill by whatever means necessary"
This comment tells me all i need to know about how you play.
Your games are probably boring to be a part of.
Yeah my goal is generally to make the game fun for everyone. Of course I still place a greater emphasis on my enjoyment as is a given, but I know the pains of being tunneled, camped, etc so I will often show mercy if I can afford it and rarely go after the unhooked.
But my mindset is this. It doesn't really matter if I won if I had to be "Toxic" and use the lamest and most boring playstyles in the book. For the most part playing fair works and people actually have a lot of fun, even sometimes when I thought I was being a little lame by end chat I they actually really enjoyed the game. Of course you'll still have the lame people who insisted you tunneled/camped and are a baby but you can't help that, they are simply perpetually angry
You don't have to be scummy to pto, get a 4k and play to win nor do you have to follow a rule-book. Just be who you would want to fight against and nearly everyone will have fun and a great game. Most people don't understand this
-
Calling the other side entitled, toxic, etc when you are trying to openly address them, change their minds, and get them to properly respond
Is generally a pretty bad idea if you want it to actually amount to anything. You've pretty much lost everyone when you do that
Why can't anyone have smart and reasonable debates anymore?
-
I play every killer without Ruin and when Ruin goes out within 5 seconds your already playing it without Ruin. You really don't need Ruin at all chaining yourself to an RNG mechanic is far worse for you in the long run because you become dependent on it and can't play or adjust normally without it. Playing without Ruin forces you to rely on your own skill, map knowledge, and ability to play doing so has worked out pretty good for me
Yes, you will be gen rushed in quite a few matches, but that's simply out of your control like if you go against a 4 man with toolboxes and commit to generators hard. Unless you are using a top tier killer and all the slowdown perks in the world you'll likely not pull off a victory but you can make em hard if you use Franklins and such
Running Pop Goes The Weasel, Over-Charge, and even corrupt intervention (Especially on Trapper, Ghostface, and maybe even Myers) works out for you in the long run, Ruin is a crutch plain and simple. Do not use it Thanatophobia is more useful then Ruin but most importantly reliable and consistent, and consistency is the name of the game here. It's why situational perks such as Beast Of Prey are frowned upon

Perhaps a new token system tied to obsessions

Bring back the machine gun build!

Just make Left Behind instantly complete any remaining generators
Bam not only is it a survivor version of Mad Grit where it's use is highly situational and funny. But it can actually be quite a bit of help when your the last survivor and there is 1-2 generators left
Having the exit gates be powered up will make it much harder for the killer to find you as he now has to patrol 2 gates and find a hatch

Looks like a net buff, and she's already performing very well at high rank. She's got a shallow learning curve.
Note:
A "steep learning curve" means you spend little time to get very good. A "shallow learning curve" means you spend a lot of time to get a little good.
Most people get this backward... just do an X-Y plot of time versus skill to see how this works. :)

The only way to even out the powerlevel between SWF and solo is to implement the following for all survivors:
- the last observed state of any interactable object is permanently revealed to all survivors. For example, if someone sees an armed trap somewhere then the trap becomes visible to all survivors through a global aura and stays visible even if the killer moves the trap, unless another survivors goes there and sees that the trap is gone. At that point the aura is erased. For the following: lockers, chests, traps, generators (progress, regression), totems, Plague vomit on objects, Jigsaw boxes, Plague pools
- the last observed killer position is revealed to all survivors, if a survivor keeps looking at the killer during a chase the killer aura stays revealed for the entire duration
- all survivor auras are revealed to each other always
- as soon as any survivor can reliably tell that a killer has a certain perk, that perk becomes revealed to all survivors (for example, once any survivor is hit by Sloppy Butcher all survivors are told that the killer has Sloppy Butcher)
- all perks and their state (cooldowns, ...) of all survivors are always revealed to all survivors
- all status effects on all survivors are always revealed to all survivors
Or you could just add voicechat to the game, it would accomplish the same thing
- I'd like to make an edit to the idea of "all survivor auras are revealed to each other always:
If a survivor or multiple survivors are in the killer's terror radius their aura should not be shown even to other survivors in the terror radius. That said universal aura reads seems a little too strong, I'd prefer if Bond was made a base stat and everyone could see each other's auras within a certain range
-
Revert the graphics back to when they looked best
Looking at older footage of the game its insane how much wider the default Killer fov was, and how much better the game looked and even played.
Seriously, the lighting the game has now is dreadful to what it used to be, what did they do? The original lighting was atmospheric, the lighting now is either dull or completely mediocre to what it used to be. Watch this to see what I mean
