this makes no sense at all.
so no one dies? Or what?
-
If killers can’t tunnel that should mean multiply gens shouldn’t be able to be worked on at once lol.
tunnelling sucks but so does gen rushing..
survivors job is get gens done..
kilkers job is to hook/kill survivors…
so you can kinda see how silly it is to stop a killer from hooking while survivors would have zero nerf to gens.
P.S tunneling sucks
-
Why does almost every killer perk exists? They don’t skill to use.. he’ll 90% of survivor perks don’t take skill either.
why is there gens in the game.. they don’t take skill to do…

please tell me a game that only has a working matchmaking and people do win streaks, especially in the high mmr-elo, do a 10 win streak with your mates in csgo in Global Elit (you will notice it is very difficult) and if you are after a for a long time you did it at some point do a 100th win streak ehm impossible? right that's how it should be, but do the same in league too, why isn't it possible? right because they have proper matchmaking, forget the discussion about whether dbd is a comp game or not, this is about a working matchmaking what dbd needs so that a nurse doesn't do 500+ win streak and a swf troop 300+ win streak, in each In another game, a 10 win streak in high mmr is very difficult because you are matched with people on your level
meanwhile dbd mm:
Well you can’t compare those type of games to this so that is a bad start..
take predator hunting hunts, it’s more similar. People do put down 100 game win streaks..
Evolve went it was out people were getting 100 win streaks. (But by far the best and most balanced 1v4 game type, which I worked on)
Friday the 13th people playing as Jason are getting 100 win kill streaks…
do you see the pattern with games of this type?
they are always favoured towards the side with one person vs the side with 4, the only time the 4 seems to do better is when it’s 4 great players working together.
take pro teams in Bbd for example. They don’t go on win streaks and it’s a pretty fair game for both sides.
now take random teammates at any MMR and it’s highly killer sided with large win streaks, but those killers tend to abuse combo perks to do it.
But yah you can’t compare the games you mentioned to this type of game as they are two totally different types

you are not supposed to wiggle escape if there is 1 hook down. Because if single survivor dies on a hook would be impossible to reach to other, you need more than that to escape, which may be Boil over.
And 1 perk alone should not be guarantee you escape, you need more than that to escape. Which a help from at least a teammate.
Take hit, Dead hard, Breakout, Flashlight, Saboture.
It’s not about a 100% escape rate lol. With boil over you can still move very far unless you drop from a height.. right now a down is a 99% hook, so a whole game mechanic was made at a 1% to wiggle out lol.
mid you shorten the wiggle time it will actually make the killer think on what hook to finish you on, rather then having 20 others to walk across the map too..
your acting like I said it be impossible to get to a hook lol, which is 100% not what I said. But rather give the wiggle mechanic a actual purpose, as of right now it’s basically useless to even have it in the game other then to annoy the killer when he is taking the last survivor to hatch lol

It is so that the killer can't just carry the survivor wherever they want. Namely it's to make the killer have to hook the survivor (relatively) nearby and can't just carry everyone to the basement on the other side of the map every down.
It's not really designed for people to use to escape from unless the survivors have some insane coordination and willingness to take hits or the killer gets ultra greedy in hook placing
That makes zero sense.. The whole reason behind the system is a chance to escape… The way the game is right now that chance is almost zero. Even in SWF it’s very rare that someone manages to wiggle out.
Yes the reasoning would be so the killer can’t move 1/3 of the map while you tap a useless game mechanic. A slight change would greatly help it as I do know the amount of hooks has increased since the games release.
even taking oaks is almost a waste uneless the killer sacrifices on a bad hook and causes a dead zone (yes there are a few natural dead zones naturally)
They need a way of actually using this mechanic rather than just something to do while you get hooked. It’s just too easy to get to a hook, even with boil over it’s still just too easy, there is no threat of if you can find a hook cause 90% of time you can walk to 5 different hooks

Sure “killer” main! All us killers want basekit boil over for survivors!
Boil over is a joke lol. Unless you fall from a height. It effects are minor and that even playing on a controller.
I get you don’t like the slightest challenge but when I can walk 1/3 of the map with someone struggling it kinda makes that mechanic pretty useless lol.

It has been said many times before they're updating it. Recently they've made a system for player who haven't been playing for quite a long time. And what do we face? New players are still getting matched vs high MMR tryhards, returning players are still facing those who have high MMR and play every day.
Stop acting like you are actually "fixing it" when it's a complete lie and it literally NEVER worked, never works and will never work.
So make ur own if it that easy 🤷♂️

I have not seen a game yet where a killers has bin able to use of a snowman, seen them try the fact they can only M1 out screws them over more then it helps

A Nemesis brought us (a solo queue team) to Dead Dawg Saloon with Brutal Strength, Overcharge, Call of Brine and Eruption. From the start of the match, he did not leave his 3 gens around main (which were spitting distance from each other). He kept kicking the gens and did not commit to any chase. Eventually, all the pallets in the area were used up and even a god-tier looper will go down. To make matters worse, both zombies were patrolling the area. There was no skill involved, yet after this 45-minute war of attrition, we all eventually died.
Please don't be deliberately obtuse by saying that it was our fault for letting the 3 gen happen, as he did not leave the area and did not stop kicking the gens from the start of the match.
Please don't say the killer earned it because even a skill-less 4.6m killer will eventually down you in a dead zone since you have no resources to work with as a survivor.
Is this really what the devs and the players want this game to be? A 45 min gen-kicking simulator?
I know this forum has recently been filled with discussions around the gen-kicking meta, but I think it's important we keep having this conversation so the devs understand the gravity of this situation.
So your saying a killer should not use map awareness to tip the game in their favor?
are killers just suppose to run around?
sure it sucks when it happens but honestly your complaining about a killer using his strong point to win…
so should all gens be moved closer together cause as a killer I can tell you gens are too far apart and it’s not fair 😂

when I play survivor I run distortion every time for that reason

Do your absolute best to keep them alive.
Save them before they finish, heal them, do your best to keep them alive. Don't let them out of the game.
If I catch someone doing this in my games, I will never kill them no matter how long they stand at the hook. I'll keep them alive until the very end, and only kill them to make sure they won't get hatch.
If they want out of the game and don't want to eat the DC penalty (wonder why they're scared of it), make it as much of a long and grueling process as possible. Be like the Spirit I just played against who grabbed this guy off a totem, saw he was trying to suicide on hook and refused to play, and never killed him until the very end.
Hopefully one of these days they deal with this silly mechanic.
So you just allow them to afk and get rewarded BP 😂

Hmm I never once said what this dude did was smart. But good job jumping to the assumption.

I like a 60/40 balance in favor of killers, honestly. I feel like thematically (I am a huge horror fan in general) the game feels better when you feel like death is the more likely outcome as a survivor. I want the odds against me, it makes escape feel like an accomplishment.
In horror movies, how often does half the main cast of protags make it out alive? Essentially never. An imbalanced kill rate just feels more appropriate to me.
Objectively, the game is fundamentally asymmetrical and unbalanced. Shooting for a 50/50 is trying to lay a symmetrical game balance ideal on a game that is inherently imbalanced, and likely unbalanceable.
This.. 60/40… the extra 20% difference in killer winning would be your solos and lower MMR.. teams that play together (not SWF) should have a higher if not equal chance to escape as the killer winning, given they don’t make mistakes.
killers should have the upper hand in matches, survivors build on their chances by teamwork, perks and such

I'm by no means the greatest survivor but I make I'm regularly in top iridescent and I play very altruistic pretty much all my perks are to help us as a whole, so I just don't understand the griefing for absolutely no reason. I appreciate the comment.
I think they do it just for fun, or dislike playing the killer and want the game to end fast and get the blood point.. I just ignore them and hook them first and let the other do gens and escape.

They get stuck on everything and as a survivor you can walk them into corner, grass that gets them stuck till they are killed.
but it’s annoying when a survivor runs clean by them then they lunge blocking you 😂 it’s one of the them gotta laugh moments

I will continue to side with this. Even if boons are changed to be at risk of being destroyed permanently, you can still boon the other totems, and you're more likely than not to get at least a few fast heals out of it before the killer notices. It would also help with people trying to place boons right next to the killer, which I've seen teammates throw games for. I would be willing to strengthen the boon's effects in exchange.
Boons should be once and done, just like for the killer. Killers sees a boom that totem is done for good.

As a player of both sides and someone that works in balancing its more killer sided for sure. Which all 1v4 are.
SWF have to be taken out of the factor 100% in terms of how side vs side works.
now you look at things like gen times, they favour the killer side just as a standard time for gens with zero perks, addons. (Yes once you start adding perks and addons it can change, but that can be said about both side)
Hooking is killer sided, they can travel way too far to hook you and the time to get out is far to long meaning a hook 95% of the time.
killer is faster and has far more means to stop you then you have of getting away.
but it has to be that way cause as a survivor you got jack ######### to get away from a base point.
As survivors your key point to winning is working together on gens, unhooking, distracting the killer. Again it’s base no perk no addon form.
once addons come into effect it’s all a matter of who took what perk or addons to keep or gain the advantage.
that is why killers are more sided cause there addons and perks have to fight 4 survivors with 16 perks, 4 items and 8 addons and a map to help the survivors more so then the killers.
after all that is taken into account it leads towards survivors. But in its base killers will be a bit more sided

What Survivors brought:
- 2 Circle of Healings.
- 3 Medkits (2 styptics).
- Eyrie of Crows offering.
They instantly gave up when I started camping when some were running around and others were doing totems.
Imagine I played anyone but Nurse or Blight.
Feel good that whatever Survivors bring, Nurse can always win.
Good keep it up, need more good nurse players playing. As stupid powerful as she is she is needed to force players to get better at facing her.
I love playing Vs a good nurse even if it means getting stomped on cause I usually last longer and longer each time
-
Well the very idea of the game is too hook and stop gens.. The whole game play is trying not to get hooked and saving your teammate from the hook… which means the killers job is too keep you hooked…
the community that calls hook camping toxic is 100% wrong lol, it’s actually part of the point of the game that I don’t think was done on purpose. But gladly most of the community that is wrong has the best way to play the game that is more fair and makes the game more fun
-
Like the idea, but his tiers are great how they are, his biggest down side is the zombies.
Either nemesis needs a solid buff, or his zombies do.
Zombies just need to be smarter with pathing and a bit faster attack that’s not almost 100% dodged unless caught somewhere tight.
If they leave zombies then give nemesis a solid little buff. Like actually making his t-virus useful lol

Why do they need to push the survivors off the gen if they don't have to?
Why do they have to leave the hook if they don't have to?
And this creates the next situation:
Why do survivors have to stay in the game when they can d/c and reconnect to a new game in a minute?
This is the state of the game.
Yah basically..
killers think gems are too fast so they camp to get that kill. In a lot of my games SWFs are the reason for camping, You head to a hook to hook someone, and bam all 3 are close to the hook.. so why do I need to leave the hook to kill survivors? They are all right there so there is no need to leave. If it’s 2 others there, that one can’t do gems fast enough. SWF don’t really give the killer a reason to leave the area other then to make a unhook easy lol.
killers hook camping against solos usually means a kill or two every game.
facecamping, slugging are pretty much what this game was designed around sadly. Good thing alot of community does do it and they hook and go away to do gens, chase and slug only when it’s kinda needed

No you are seeing an increase. Rather than DC Or suicide the new thing is to grief others (you can tell a grief vs just getting somewhere fast.)
As a killer I have seen more players leading me to other players, even waving me over just to point to a hiding survivor… I hook those survivors first lol
-
They do it to stop muscle memory…
simple fix, look where you are going.
survivors tend to head to the same couple loops over and over again. You can watch streamers avoid gens to look for them LT loops and every time they are chased it’s always head towards them loops.
-
Do people not engage in chases with killers lol. Sounds like the ones complaining are the ones hiding and trying to do gens then get seen and downed instantly lol.
I have only had a few matches where that perk has bin a big factor. Most of the time the killer is too busy chasing me or sticks to 1-2 gens
-
I have almost had 4k on every game played so far, other then a few getting lucky on hatch spawns.
his addons are crazy good and when paired right it’s brutal how good they are.
a lot of loops you can force them to try and run away or take a hit by either the guard or yourself. When played good he is powerful but it could be that a lot of players haven’t figured out playing against him yet. I think he will fall in the top of a mid tier killer once people learn to play against him

Genuine question. I use it myself so maybe I'm biased, but I'm pretty off and on with this game, so when I came back and saw that a lot of people were complaining about Eruption, I was wondering why. The only argument I seem to come across is that solo queue players can't counter it, and I personally feel like that's a pretty weak argument, so I want to see if anyone has arguments other than that.
Granted, the incapacitation time could be reduced down to like 15 seconds or so if the regression is slightly buffed, I'm not totally against the idea of a nerf. But, you'd probably spend about as much time or more kicking the gens, chasing a survivor, downing them, and then bringing them to a hook, as a survivor would spend incapacitated if they happen to be working on one of those specific gens the moment you down a survivor, so I feel like that's a pretty fair tradeoff. The only time I see it being insanely strong is if there is a 3 gen since there's practically nothing you can do at that point, but you won't always be in a 3 gen scenario.
It honestly doesn’t need a nerf.. it take a .25 seconds of touching a gen to counter it. If a killer gets more then one gen to pop then it’s 100% lack of play from the survivors.
balance wise it’s not even in the top for perks for gen regression honestly. There is far better perks with better benefits over this perk. Still a solid perk, very strong when it becomes under 3 players though and that maybe when you see it shine.
-
Yup.. I main nemesis and I get a dc atleast every game or a suicide hook.
just had 3 people DC when I got the first hook, tried to post it to show how bad it is, but mods here have a rule about protecting scum bags so it got removed, but the point was to show the DCs not the people.
they need to start doing something and actually banning or timing out people for DCs ,hacking, abusing game mechanics. Instead they hide and pretend it doesn’t happen.

How would you change Trapper to be finaly at least decent B tier Killer? Maybe better C tier pick at least.
Here are some of my ideas:
- You start with all Traps
- Survivors who fall into a Trap will have to mend if they escape the Trap.
- Traps change color depending on the overall ground of the map or make traps overall harder to spot or give each map some form of decent ammout of grass.
- You can't place Traps within 12 meters of any Hooked Survivor (to prevent basement camping). You also can't reset these traps until there is no hooked Survivor within that range.
- If Injured Survivor falls into a Trap, escaping yourself will putt you into dying state (base kit Honing Stone).
- Maybe decrease a bit the time it takes to set up trap and reset it. Increase a bit time to disarm a trap maybe.
I would make it so it’s easier to escape a trap, but allow trapper to start with traps, faster placement, make deactivating a trap silent, double the time to deactivate, make traps harder to see.
15 second hinder when escaping a trap. Add a Mori after second stage when trapper hits you while in a trap.
solves most of trappers problems. Would make him much stronger and cause survivors to have to play traps

The teammate that escaped typed a <3 in the end game chat and there I understood that I did a good action and I felt happy about it.
Did you ever sacrifice yourself for a teammate?
Yes I do. But it depends on the teammate. If he did work and tried to help others I will do it. If not then no I won’t

Aw, I love wholesome survivors. Sometimes people will offer the killer a kill if they think they had a bad match or the killer played very fair, kinda like offering an item but more all-in with the gesture. I used to do it a lot more before MMR forced me to care about escaping. Here's hoping that Nea hits P100 soon!
Prestige is a mixed bag. I'm a P25 Jane and I'm pretty average, and I faced a P40 Dwight who was a total derp and a P74 Felix who was unremarkable in every way except his hilarious name. But I played with a P56 Yun-Jin a few days ago who was possibly an actual god. No Mither, looped Bubba for three gens and a Devour Hope search, wielded both flashlights and flashbangs to high success, and came back to save me at the end.
Haha I had of them, did a 5 gen chase.. I had healing boon out and I was running for the people. After he would get hit I would run with him and after a pallet stun I would instant heal him and he would carry on 😂
I kinda felt bad for the killer when he didn’t get one down.

ngl i play a lot of killer and honestly i never vault
vaulting for killers is the most useless thing, mainly because it doesn't give you anything you can't even close the gap with it, yes can be made better with perks but ain't talking about those
(and nobody is gonna run the same damn vaulting build 6000 times so for the love hell don't say things like well u are looking at superior anatomy or bamboozle IK THEY EXIST but again perks aren't suppose to be a core thing they are suppose to spice the gameplay)
how about making it so the more bloodlust the killer has the faster the vaulting speed, this could make those jungle gyms and even some dumb loops in maps really dangerous, this will not be a buff to high tier killer but mostly low tier, like ghosty and piggy, etc
but of course it shouldn't stack with perks, or maybe it should
So why not increase pallet breaking speed too?
vaulting is suppose to give the survivors that extra time, you know cause you already move faster then them.
when it comes to vaulting you either force the triple vault fast so they can’t no more, or you bait the vault and get the hit.
if the player vaulting is your weak spot then you should run something to either speed your vaulting up, or block vaulting.
sounds of more a you problem then a general problem to be honest.
but I run clown to they vault into my cloud 🤷♂️
-
Only time I kill myself on the hook is if I see a teammate setup for hatch cause he can’t get the save.
-
Medkit abusing is usually 2-3 survivors running healing perks and medkits and best arson and the needle.
They heal in a few seconds, then they save the needle and use it mid chase on themselves or someone else.
its really not abusing it though. Just being smart with it

Easy fix would lower the delay from yellow bottle…
his purple bottles are fine. Could add they do damage when hit and after say 4-5 direct hits you go down a state. There is effectively, ZERO reason to disconnect when the match just started. People constantly say "Well, the Nurse is overpowered" The issue is, you could at the very least stay in the match and try to improve, instead of immediately leaving. Am I saying Nurse has counter play? No, in fact I whole-heartedly agree that she needs to be nerfed. However, by disconnecting from the match you remove any chance of winning your team could've had. Even if Nurse has no counter play, there are still ways to hold time and get gens done. Don't disconnect simply because you can't learn how to play against her.
As over powered as nurse is I 100% agree.
nurse is needed to increase skill cap of survivors.
if you don’t try against a nurse you never get better. That is the problem with nurse honestly. Yes she is overpowered and super strong, so is blight, for pc players anyways. But if you never face them you never get better. Give any PC player enough enough games agianst either killer and they will become better at facing them, and in return become better better at beating less strong killers.
she is 100% needed at her current state cause it’s either hard to beat her or a walk in the park
-
@ARTRA said:
Rigth now, the faster becomes a 3v1 the better, by logic 3 people are easy to beat than 4.
Do i like it? No.
And yes in my games i hit 1 surv, leave it to defend a gen and in 10 secs more or less is healed. Like, come on.
So full tomato is the way.
That’s kinda what I mean. If you don’t tunnel they just heal the second you leave to get a gen, or wound someone else. If you play a killer that does deep wounds like legion, by the time you hit 2 or 3 survivors the first one or two have healed it. Nemesis/weskers basically poison can pretty much be ignored making the need to get vaccinated low.
I understand balancing but the fact if you leave a survivor alone to even kick a gen and they are healed is crazy

The popular conception amongst the community is that Nurse has "no counterplay". It's as if picking Nurse is guaranteed 4K and a win (already disproven by statistics both at the top MMR and all MMRs)
It's also humorous considering Nurse has quite a lot of counterplay tools, but Survivor players are lazy, refuse to adapt and give up without even trying. You can't just brainlessly run 3 times around Killer Shack, drop a God Pallet and give your team free 2 gens. Nah ah, this killer has different gameplay elements to it, so you also have to play unconventionally.
Here is the list of things you can do:
- Line of Sight break - easily done on most maps, force Nurse to guess which is always a disadvantage for Nurse.
- Judging Nurse Blink Distance - estimate how long the Nurse has been holding her blink to judge what distance she can cover, perform juke
- Indoor maps - self-explanatory
- Dead Hard - not very hard to use against Nurse, 3rd health state
- Use objects as your advantage - it's not the easiest thing for a Nurse to blink past objects, so use it to make it harder for her to get a good blink
- Be unpredictable with your pathing - if you use conventional pathing, that's on you - you're making it easy for the Nurse to perform good blinks
- Hold W (against non-range addons) - this destroys Nurse a lot, if she makes a mistake and you hold W, she at least has to blink 3-4 times to catch up to you. Doesn't work as well against Range addons.
- Use Stealth - should be a brainer, but somehow this is never emphasized. Nurse won't check every corner when she patrols gens and if she doesn't see you - you're likely safe. If you know she is coming, hide. You have more chance to survive than trying to "loop her"
There are more tricks you can do, but the point here is that there are many small things that you can do to make Nurse's life harder. It's not even hard, you just have to learn and get better.
Learn to adapt to the game - you cannot loop her like an M1 killer but that doesn't mean you cannot waste her time at all. She doesn't have "no counterplay", you're just making excuses because you refuse to adapt to a different killer playstyle. Bubba face camping is no counterplay, Nurse is not.
And no, "good Nurse will still destroy you" is not an argument. She will be very strong, but you can still force her to take 50/50s which any Nurse (good or bad) will despise. The 50/50s can even become 70/30s in your favour if you read the player right and be unpredictable.
And well, if you got destroyed by a good Nurse, you better give her +REP considering most of the community sucks at her and she's not a problem in the game (compared to things like SWF).

As a person that has worked with balance team for 10 years, please shut up… you are so wrong and reaching so bad right now it’s not even funny..
I know you think you know everything but you do not.
almost everything you said is countered by her blink 😂
you dead hard then she just blinks and gets you. Stop thinking you are have a counter to nurse cause you do not. 90% of what you said is what the basic survivor already does.
honestly it’s so silly that a simple mind thinks they actually know better then people that balance games. She is left the way she is cause she has a high skill cap and she is basically a PC only killer. But she is needed.
you can’t put distance her blink period. You can’t use objects on her period. You can’t line of sight her.
only thing you have is too spin her.
she is needed to keep the skill cap high. Is she overpowered? Hell yes she is, does she have few counters? No she don’t. But her balance point is she is needed to increase skill cap period. Just leave nurse alone as the power she is so people learn to get better.
Pretending she is not god like is just silly and honest makes anyone that’s says different look silly.

Can they even get the rights? I am pretty sure illfonic still owns the rights to that for a few more years.

Nemesis's zombies are the most annoying thing in any game I've ever played, and that's not just the saltiness talking. Why the hell can zombies not only alert the killer of your location, but also prevent you from doing generators? Not to mention the fact they block off loops mid chase which is complete BS. Never in the world should any killer have NPCs to help them, they were a dumb idea to begin with. At the very least make it so we can kill zombies if they miss an attack, just like you can with Victor. Every game with Nemesis is just unfun because he can be the worst killer to ever live and still get easy downs with his zombies.
I thought this game was about trials, where you were supposed to see how well as a team you worked against a killer, meaning that the killer's ability was also being tested. How tf is it testing a killer's ability to kill when their NPCs do like 50% of the work every game? This isn't an understatement either, it's almost a free win every game unless you have some god tier survivor that loops the killer most of the time (which only works assuming he's a garbage killer and stays on them most of the game). It's nonstop BS and I'm surprised more people rant about the Nurse than this.
Also just as a side rant, when the ######### will killer lag be fixed? One guy literally teleported behind me in a chase and got a free M1 out of it. It's not my internet either, I've triple checked.
You sir are 100% wrong.. most the time the wonder around stupid. They are countered by crouching and half the time they are stuck on something forcing the killer to go kill them.
if anything they need a buff because unless you take addons to help them they are useless and become only good for increase you ability.
nemesis himself is not a great killer and easy to loop, easy to see. His zombies are the only thing that gives him a bit of level ground

Killer reworks, buffs or looking at/changing bad addons (Freddy, Pyramid Head hello?) can take years and years we all know this. So what about when we have 10 or 20 more killer than today? When will we reach a limit where we simply have too many killers in the game? Are we already there? Everyone seems happy when new killers are released but it does have a nasty downside.
How long can they continue like this?
Cause it’s more profitable to release new killers then to balance others.. it’s actually easier too.

Can a killer please answer me why when I'm the last person some killers let me bleed out the whole time instead of putting me on the hook to die? It's wasting my time when I just want to move on. I mean you're getting the kill so why? What's the point?
Majority of killers that do it are just being petty. Those are the ones that hard tunnel or hook camp.
I don’t why killers do it, nothing like a good chase to have fun

They could add more zombies, ain’t no limitations stopping them at all. That’s just a excuse and a easy answer for no it ain’t happening.
They do need fixing though that’s for sure. As a nemesis main his zombies are either on point a few times them brain dead and useless most of the time.
But those moments when some one is standing on the other side of a loop teabagging or clicking the flashlight then a zombies smacks then is too funny 😂
