That build has been in the game for awhile now, I’m surprised no one really used it until now. These perks are only really an issue when together so capping gen repair slowdown at, say, 30-35% would address this issue easily, even if it is just a temporary fix.
Hopefully we get a hot fix and don’t have to wait until the next mid chapter for it to be addressed.

I don't trust anyone that says the game for survivor is more 'fun' now... and it's not even about escaping for me.. I honestly don't care about winning on either side. It's when the game stops being fun because you have to hold M1 for 20 minutes straight now. It's like forever Freddy became available to ALL killers with this update.
Yeah I agree that holding M1 all game does get boring, but that’s how survivor has always been in my experience. Except instead of holding it for like 2 minutes straight it was hold it for 50 seconds, then Pop resets it 20 seconds, hold it another 40, Pop again, hold it 30 seconds and now it’s finished. Add in Pain Res and that’s even longer.
Or hold M1 for 70 seconds and now Tinkerer Blight is on your ass and Ruin resets the gen because your being chased, and now you need to repair it another 80 seconds. Now if that scenario were to occur the gen probably isn’t regressing, or hasn’t regressed as much without Ruin, and so you don’t need to repair another 80 seconds.
But yeah, we need more fun objectives than just generators.

The biggest problem with survivor right now is survivors themselves. Yeah playing survivor is gonna suck when you have teammates that can't hit skill checks or loop or bother to do gens. DH isn't here to fix looping mistakes and you don't have time to screw around and my games tonight have been solely determined by my teammates I've had some lobbies with really good teammates and the games felt good and we all escaped but I've also had games where my teammates get on a gen with me and blow it up 3 times and run away and get downed in a 12 second chase. That second team isn't escaping and it doesn't deserve to and whereas there was a chance they might have before they don't now and they're mad.
I'm not saying everything in the patch is good, thana buff was very not needed nor was the ds nerf but this patch had a lot more good than bad in it and I know people don't like to hear it but yes to an extent survivors do need to get good because you don't get to make mistakes and then not get punished for it anymore. It's really frustrating to die and then see I score more than any of my teammates by a pretty good amount because they lack basic decision making skills.
Now granted most people don't grind out this game as much as me and I don't think it's reasonable to expect them to do that so I do think to avoid making going to dbd school mandatory to play survivor they do need to make certain things available for soloQ. Those status icons need to happen as does base kindred without seeing the killer aura because as much as survivors do need to get better and adapt I know the more likely scenario is they just go play killer because let's be honest the vast majority of this player base is just gonna play whatever role is easier no matter what and right now that's killer so things do need to evened out a little.
I agree with you on this. It does feel like MMR is not functioning correctly right now with how varied the skill between teammates can be at times.
I really hope we get more info on that communication system the devs mentioned awhile ago.
-
I wish Bhvr would give us more info about the communication system they were talking about before. We haven’t heard anything about it in ages and I hope they haven’t scrapped it.

Some "solo survivor" mains are saying that, "they are enjoying more, they are escaping so much" but yet, i can not see any video or ss. Just words.
Probbz is SWF player and he is streaming. He is good player. Even his escape rate gone down, it is okey because SWFs needed to be nerfed. But these nerfs hurted solos more.
But it is okey because BlightedDolphin is enjoying more than before. Survivors, who is pointing problems should just get good.
When did I ever say people need to get good? Am I not allowed to enjoy something? I’m just sharing my experience, if your experience is different feel free to share it.
Of course kill rates have gone up, that was the intention. And yes solo queue needs buffs, it’s still is and always has been the weakest role in the game. I agree with a lot of people that they went overboard on a lot of things this patch, but I’m still enjoying it.
Just because I’m having fun doesn’t mean everyone else has to, and just because you aren’t having fun doesn’t mean I have to be miserable too.
-
Full slow down is really annoying, but the current slowdown meta feels less oppressive than the old one in my opinion. I’d rather have 90 second gens and whatever Thana adds than have 40% regression because of Pain Res and Pop.

What do you mean?

Smolface is still possible with the crouching add on plus PWYF. Not as good as the old version but can still get to 115% speed with 3 tokens. Could also add in the Drop Knife for an extra 10% after stalking to zoom crouch your way to down someone.
-
I’m really liking Rookie Spirit right now. With everyone kicking gens now it acts as a great way to know where the killer is, which gens have some progress, and where your teammates are.

I still think Pharmacy buff is actually a nerf in disguise.
I agree. Their reason for changing it was that someone can take the medkit before you need it, but now you can't get a medkit because someone has probably searched the chest already now. It's the same problem as before except now no one gets a green medkit you can't be a medkit hoarder anymore :(
-
If they remove the drawback of Calm Spirit, they should also remove the silent chest part and give it to Pharmacy. Quieter chest sounds is already apart of Pharmacy, and I don't think anyone would mind if Pharmacy was buffed again.
-
I’m still getting near instant queues as killer. During the day it’s a bit longer, but no where near 5 minutes.
-
In my experience I see Pig and Pinhead way more than most of the killers in Rare and Uncommon.
-
Lucky Break and Head On
-
I’m probably going to play survivor more now that regression perks have been nerfed. No more Pain Res/DMS/Ruin is almost as exciting as no more Dead Hard. Almost.
And maybe now I’ll get better teammates that actually know how to play rather than people who are obviously carried by Dead Hard.
-
Trapper - give him a new ability that lets him rearm all disarmed traps but on a cool-down. Remove the RNG of escaping a bear trap and have it always take 10 seconds or so.
Wraith - Revert the lunge nerf.
Clown - Make his antidote and tonic separate bottle pools, with the antidote reloading automatically overtime so he doesn’t have to reload as often and can use his antidote for mobility a bit more often.
Sadako - Reduce the cool-down of TVs.
Pig - Have the roar play half way through Ambush (like Wraith’s bell) and increase her movement speed while crouched.
-
It’s all Ace’s fantasy.

Or this is a two year old thread from when Pyramid Head released.

Rather than prevent Endurance activating with Deep Wound, I would much prefer survivors with endurance to lose collision. This way a tunneling killer can still be punished, but survivors can’t abuse it by body blocking.
The only issue then would be running through the killer with Dead Hard, but I’d rather that than OtR body blocks.

I don’t really agree with Whispers and Sloppy on Ghostface. While they are useful, I personally think Corrupt and Discordance are more useful. Corrupt really helps in the early game and can allow you to 99 multiple survivors. Discordance is far more useful than Whispers as it lets you know when to break chase and go try and find a good angle to stalk at least two survivors. Whispers only really helps Ghostface find someone in the early game, but most games Discordance does that too and helps more in the mid-late game.
I also would personally run Enduring, STBFL, or PWYF over Deadlock to help in chase but that’s probably just personal preference :p

I just want Quentin to get something…

Add it to Remember Me or Fire Up.

People will still run Dead Hard, there is still huge value to gain when running to/through pallets. But, I expect to see a ton of Sprint burst/Lithe players after the patch. The perk itself is still weak compared to most of the other exhaustion perks, only getting value if the killer straight up quits the chase. Or you run several other perks in conjunction with it.
Yeah after watching some gameplay of the new Dead Hard, I don’t think Overcome will replace it. Dead Hard will still probably be meta.
-
I don't mind green glyphs, I just hate how Wraith can't get them when cloaked.

Ill have to take your word for it, because I have seen 1 in the past 3 days.
That’s probably because everyone is running Dead Hard currently. Once Dead Hard is nerfed Overcome will see more use.
-
I know they haven’t, but it feels like they increased the odds of getting.
I almost never got it when it first released but I’ve gotten it constantly the past few days.
-
I love playing against him. Unlike the other killers he’s actually spooky.
Playing as him though has gotten frustrating. Everyone seems to have learned holding W is his biggest weakness so every game is just that, which isn’t fun.
-
I’ve been playing a lot of Deathslinger lately and still find him really fun. Unless it’s Garden of Joy then it’s miserable.
My favourite build is Corrupt, Agitation, Starstruck, Thrilling Tremors. Every game I get at least one instadown from it, which really helps his poor map pressure.
Personally, Trapper, Billy, and Freddy are the most depressing killers right now and feel really clunky and outdated.

Apparently that isn't far off for what was originally intended for him. In his original design proposal, he'd pull himself across the map with his chain.
Interesting.
I’m glad they decided to go with the current “Get over here!” version but that would be cool to see.
-
Let him swing of walls like Spider-Man.

I would like to touch on one point that is completely incorrect. Hook trading is not easier. With this update, it's potentially impossible. The unhook action takes 3 seconds to perform, same as a standard M1.
The only reason a survivor can get the unhook currently is because the action bar can be filled and completed at the same time the killer can attack again, meaning the rest of the unhook animation is performed, even though they're in dying state.
Now that an M1 takes LESS time than an unhook, which used to take the SAME amount of time, it makes him trading next to impossible unless the killer messes up or gets outplayed somehow.
So no, it doesn't make hook trading easier. It's next to impossible. The opposite. But we will just have to see how it actually performs in-game if it prioritizes the unhook animation over an M1, which I don't think it will. I think it'll be impossible to trade against a camper.
According to the wiki, the unhook action only takes 1 second. So it’s still possible to hook trade.

Speaking of shadow buffs... I don't recall eruption every being in any patch notes. I know for a fact that when the RE chapter first released, t3 eruption was a 90 second cool down now it's 30 seconds.
It was 90 seconds on the PTB. They buffed it to 30 seconds before it went live.

@indieeden7 said:
That's what predator used to do, and it actually hurt killers. Scratchmarks disappearing sooner can help you figure out which way a survivor went if you manage to lose them.
Even the current Predator kind of hurts you as you're less likely to see scratch marks on walls from a distance.
Making footsteps louder would be a better buff.

I like Otz but I’m not inclined to watch a one hour video about this. If someone wants to do a TLDR post with his bullet points that can be read in 5-10 minutes that would be useful.
There's a TLDR at the end of his video about his concerns.
But a quick summary:
- Some perks still need buffs (such as Dying Light, Furtive Chase, Autodidact etc)
- Some perks still need nerfs (Mainly CoH, Prove Thyself, and Deadlock)
- Basic M1 killers are buffed but there now is less incentive to use M2 attacks such as Shred
- Hook trading is easier
- Medkits are stronger now because of the Botany Knowledge buff
- Off the Record is broken and is going to encourage bodyblocking more
- Maps, items and offerings still need to be addressed
- Nurse and Blight are even stronger now
- Camping needs more counterplay

There must be some misread.
I though PGTW take away 25% of the survivor work, not 20sec of Gen (25% total). But apparently in the update said it was always take down 20sec of Gen.
Yep. Pop was always 25% of the maximum possible progress, which is 20 seconds. Now it will be 20% of the current progress plus the 2.5% basekit regression.

10sec. Compared to basekit 5sec
It's 10 seconds in addition to the 5 second basekit, so BT makes it 15 seconds.
-
Off the Record counters all of the stuff you're complaining about.
Only 5 seconds of Endurance? Use Off the Record and now it's 80.
DS nerfed? Use Off the Record which can't be slugged and still activates in end game. Plus you can be an annoying body blocker for 80 seconds.
Off the Record is literally just a better DS.
-
@ChurchofPig said:
I don't think it will count for M2's since M2 attacks are killer specific and are different depending on the power. If they were to do it for an M2, it would be part of a power rework. M1 attacks every killer has and is the same amount of time. That is easy to rework.
That makes sense. I was just wondering because all of the M2 attacks I listed have the same cool-down as a basic attack (3 seconds) so I thought that it would be a bit odd to have Shred and Ambush recover slower despite currently being the same speed.

@ThatOneDemoPlayer said:
Probably (hopefully) not
Why not?
-
It will definitely be annoying in the end game, but the part that is going to annoy me the most is the bodyblocking when I'm trying to not tunnel. People already do it with BT and DS, now imagine that but you can't wait it out or slug them.
-
The new Off the Record makes up for the reduced stun.
I wonder if you could force the DS stun by hopping in a locker and still have Off the Record’s endurance effect after?
-
A good sabo player is really frustrating to play against, especially on a map with terrible hook spawns like Midwich or Haddonfield.
Add Mettle of Man and Breakout for extra fun.

Because as far as the game is concerned, it's a negative effect for survivors and a positive one for killers.
I guess it was a massive buff when they first added it as he could ignore Borrowed Time, but now it just feels like a nerf regardless of what the game claims it is.
-
He may have had the add ons that make your footsteps and breathing louder when asleep. Those add ons together make it really easy to track people when blind.
-
Tinkerer is probably going to get a cooldown or only activate once per gen rather than have the undetectable part removed.
Surge already affects gens being worked on doesn't it?
-
@graveyard_7777 said:
I feel like Freddy benefits more from gen regression perks and his passive oblivious effect is just a bonus.
Every killer benefits from gen regression perks and can still use terror radius perks.
I agree that Freddy can get a lot more value from them than most killers, but with gen regression perks most likely being nerfed next update his synergy with them is probably going to become weaker.
-
The roadmap is missing some stuff like the RCPD rework and the Attack on Titan crossover. So hopefully it's just not included but still coming.
-
We're finally getting bedsheet ghost Myers!!!
-
I was also going to say Predator. Lightweight is getting changed so why not Predator?
Although I guess if Lightweight becomes meta somehow, Predator might actually be useable.
