Oblivious hurts Freddy more than it helps him.
Currently oblivious does 2 things - makes survivors unable to hear the terror radius and prevents terror radius perks from activating.
On paper this sounds good. A killer that can hide his terror radius and counter certain perks simply by hitting them sounds pretty strong. However... none of this actually applies to Freddy.
Sleeping survivors still hear a lullaby so the silent terror radius is negated.
But he still gets to negate terror radius perks right? Well yes... but there are only 2 survivor perks that actually use a terror radius - Stake Out and Diversion. Neither of which are used very often.
I guess countering 2 perks, no matter how low their usage is, is still better than nothing. But then you get to the downsides of oblivious.
Freddy cannot use ANY terror radius based perk as oblivious survivors are immune to them. You could use them on awake survivors, but as soon as you hit them the perk is negated. For example, Dissolution needs a terror radius but now that you hit them they are immune to it. Infectious Fright will never activate on sleeping survivors. Starstruck will never activate on sleeping survivors.
And because of his lullaby, stealth perks are pretty much useless too as they can still hear him coming. So his loadout is even more limited.
Freddy gains all the downsides of Oblivious but none of the upsides (except for countering Diversion...yay).

I feel like Freddy benefits more from gen regression perks and his passive oblivious effect is just a bonus.
Every killer benefits from gen regression perks and can still use terror radius perks.
I agree that Freddy can get a lot more value from them than most killers, but with gen regression perks most likely being nerfed next update his synergy with them is probably going to become weaker.
Because as far as the game is concerned, it's a negative effect for survivors and a positive one for killers.
I guess it was a massive buff when they first added it as he could ignore Borrowed Time, but now it just feels like a nerf regardless of what the game claims it is.
