Most Wraith players are new to the game and new players use NOED.
-
It was a long duration for something that was pretty easy to apply. However I wish they didn’t completely remove it and instead reworked it to be similar to Artist’s where it only applied Exhausted while the survivor was intoxicated. Now has counterplay but also rewards a well timed bottle.
-
I would love a lot of these changes, especially the reduced TV cool-down. It’s way too long currently compared to the other teleporting killers.
The only concern I have with this is that having a killer that can become Undetectable without any slowdown or proximity sounds and has good mobility might make Wraith obsolete.

Actually Feng Min is like 16 to 17, and I'm sure some of the other survivors are around that age too. Being young has nothing to do with knowing how to fend off the entity, which max clearly did because she was in the deepest dark part of Vecna's mind and was able to escape it. If you watch the show, clearly you would know that but I guess not, no offense. I agree with Ellegreen though. Age don't matter in that realm.
Feng visits bars in her backstory. She’s at least 18.
Not being able to fend off the entity isn’t the reason they won’t add someone under 18. They’re not going to do it because they don’t want you killing kids in the game. Just look at BHVR’s reaction to people calling Victor a baby. No one under 18 is ever going to be added unless they can age them up like Quentin and Laurie, which you can’t really do with the Stranger Things kids yet.

That's why killers have been constantly getting buffed nonstop over the course of 6 years since release. And that's why the average kill rate has gone up to pretty much 3,5-3,7 , basically meaning most games result in 3-4k. Because they don't want to balance the game around killers being a threat.
... Right.
Legion was powerful before the buff. I easily got 3-4k every game, unless it was this very anecdotical and rare SWF team in a strong map. You get those 1 out of 10 games, if even. People playing killer just honestly want to watch a cinematic at this point, not play a game.
Where did you get those kill rates from?

Why is Australia never eligible for these :(

A different thing, does anyone know how or if Surveillance works with Eruption?
Eruption makes gen Auras yellow after kicking, Surveillance makes gen Auras white when regressing (which usually happens when kicking).
About Discordance and CoB, not that great. You get definite Discordance value at the start because you didn't kick a gen yet, but after kicking a gen with CoB it could mean 2 things:
- They either hit a good Skill check, notifying you. (CoB)
- Or 2 people are on the gen, notifying you. (Discord.)
It's just another awkward Perk oversight, like "Surveillance and Eruption" I mentioned above but at least with Discord. + CoB, you know you'll find a Survivor on that gen no matter what.
I’m pretty sure Eruption takes priority, turning the generator yellow and making Surveillance useless.
They should just make Call of Brine and Eruption white and then have it turn yellow with Discordance or Surveillance. This would make it easier to understand as then white gens would represent long term effects whereas yellow gens would represent short term effects.

Some of these are interesting but would need some changes.
Monsterous Shrine shouldn’t work when the killer is close, otherwise it just encourages camping.
Premonition I’m not a fan of. The only positive effects killers can get are Undetectable and Haste. Undetectable killers are already pretty weak (I know the aura will be blocked but the perk would still go on cool-down acting as a pseudo-terror radius) and showing Haste would only really affect Clown and he doesn’t need any more problems.
This is Not Happening seems interesting but should not affect repair speed, otherwise you can get 19% permanent repair speed with Resilience.
-
The nerf added 3 seconds. It's still going to be meta.

Well considering Haemmorhage is being entirely reworked, that's kind of happening.
Sure but they are still terrible compared to the other haemorrhage add ons and considering Freddy had probably the most useless add ons of any killer currently, I don’t think him having an actually useful haemorrhage add on is too much to ask for.

In both cases, the only reason to get debuffed by either is a mistake. Freddy's traps can be disarmed by interaction with them, and so debuffs on them being non-infinite makes more sense. Disarming a bear trap can't inflict a debuff, and there's no reason to stand on trails, or at the very least not crouch over them when it is not urgent to cross them.
Okay yeah that makes sense. I still think they are garbage though and should be buffed in some way.
-
@anarchy753 said:
They probably have a time limit as they don't require killer interaction. You can trigger dream snares anywhere on the map and destroy dream pallets you know are fake, so having a permanent debuff for doing so makes less sense than a permanent debuff that requires the killer hitting the survivor in some way.
Especially the purple one, a prior to the haemmorhage change it affected healthy survivors, so 'until fully healed' wouldn't make sense as a condition.
But Pyramid Head’s doesn’t either, you just need to step in his trails. Haemorrhage isn’t even that big of a debuff so I don’t see how having it activate across the map is a big deal.
Trapper’s can also activate across the map without killer interaction.

Encourages tunneling just as much as plaything would. so I don't really see a problem
Yeah that’s true.

How about also adding to the addon that hooked survivor wont get woken up
Interesting idea but it might encourage tunnelling.
-
@IlliterateGenocide said:
The addon should just be as long as the survivor is asleep there effect by hemorrhage
Crimson Ceremony Book
But then they would lose the effect when they get hooked so you would only get value from abandoning a chase. That would be a good idea for his Blindness add ons, but I’m not sure about haemorrhage.

I do not know why you've chosen this example in particular, but you are absolutely correct.
Unfortunately, Freddy is one of many things BHVR completely messed up.
And it is their goddamn fault for doing so.
I chose that example because the OP mentioned Freddy at the end being our fault.
-
Freddy is absolutely BHVR’s fault. They nerfed him within a week of his release, admitted they were wrong, refused to revert the changes and then announce he was being reworked within a few months of his release when all they had to do was buff him.
Then after over a year they rework him into a basic and boring killer for both sides, make him slightly OP and then over nerf him while still leaving him boring. And don’t forget they nerfed his Dream Pallets because “they are OP but we don’t know why”.
Sure the fan base complained about Freddy a lot, but BHVR went overboard on him multiple times when they only had to buff his original design OR nerf his Forever Freddy build and leave his base kit untouched. It’s a shame as old Freddy was the most unique killer in the game and now he’s the most boring killer to play.

Well, as far as video games go Silent Hill beat Resident Evil to the punch on that one.
And Left 4 Dead beat Silent Hill to it.

Considering it was a Myers, are you sure he didn't just have Play With Your Food?

Dunno dead hard its an ok perk be mindfull of its presence and wait it out besides its one time use in a chase so it think its fair. The only issue its with dead hard ots that kinda beats almost all other exhaustion perks. Results in a stale meta.
You can't wait out Dead Hard for distance, which is what most survivors use it for.

There any video of the tile setup/map name? (Pause menu map name)
Got the map today and the pause button said WI_HD35. However when I paused later in the game it said 'P2'.
Also the window was there but not the basement so I don't know the variation with the basement there.

@Minecraft said:
nah, i need to crouch fast to dodge hatchets
how about we cap the speed at which killers can look up and down and remove the ability to swing near the hook while we're at it?
I would actually be happy if they made it so the hooked survivor has no hit collision. Not to stop BMing but so when I’m trying to hit the rescuer it doesn’t auto aim to the hooked survivor.

Damn, they never paused. I suppose they’ll have to shift through every seed permutation to figure out what variant of Father Campbell’s Chapel is the one that has that issue.
Wonder if that work ticket will get slapped to the backlog and forgotten about or if they have an intern/QA with a currently open schedule to check them all.
If you can get a screenshot of the map seed name from the pause menu map title that would be awesome.
Next time I get the map I will.

Father Campbell's Chapel. One of the Crotus Prenn Asylum maps.
It's the first window shown in this video near the basement (not my video)

Huge list of ideas
"Oh, great, let's take a look."
22 pages long
Not a single mention of Pyramid Head in the entire list, despite PH having the worst, most useless Addons of any killer in the game
Closes document.
0/10, my friend. Zero out of Ten.
Haha. Yeah Pyramid Head’s add ons are so bad I’ve forgotten what half of them do. I did want to put some of his add ons in there, same with more Nemesis add ons, but I couldn’t think of anything.
@Junylar said:
Scott made a review of a similar "book of good ideas" not so long ago, all those ideas had been suggested and generally approved by the community long ago, and some of which the devs themselves said they would like to implement. Still, nothing. It's like suggesting ideas to a wall.
Oh, here is the video itself, btw.
Oh wow didn’t know that existed. I’ll have to check it out thanks!

Oppression at 30 seconds might be too strong so I’d say 40 would be a good compromise
40 would be great too. Honestly at this point I'll just take anything below 80!

And a dev with any amount of influence will never read those and me reading them will accomplish nothing healthy either, I wish that wasn't the case but it is. Fog whisperers have tried similar things out and they actually communicate directly with bhvr and basically nothing came from it.
Yeah nothing will come from this but it was still fun to make :)

Not sure how I feel about your boon nerf. Problem is that it would make CoH only boon viable. You need to nerf CoH in a way that is not going to affect other boon perks.
You don't really get CoH. Issue would stay same, everyone could just safe-heal and recover anytime and you would remove any reason to actually group heal. I mean, it would both be 16 seconds, so why waste time of two survivors? It would be better to actually remove self-heal option and make it we'll make it on boon.
They don't want basement be scourge hooks, so it's not stronger than already is. It should probably stay this way, so you have to choose, either strong hook or perk. But I would change scourge hooks to be based on number of hooks total spawned instead of just 4. You can have 6 hooks and you can have 13 hooks on whole map, I don't like that RNG effect.
Beast of prey- just red stain or also your TR? It might be fun perk if you could remove your TR too, but if it is just red stain then it's useless when you can just moon walk...
Iron grasp- that would be cool. It's just worse agitation now imo...
NOED - that would be so useless without speed boost. Limit number of attacks to 4 and also keep hex weakness. If you want to do this, it shouldn't be hex.
Overwhelming Presence - that's really weak and you would never use it. Make it your TR instead of 10 meters might work.
Shadowborn - that would be really good for Legion and Wraith. Well, not against CoH...
Deathslinger would not get saved by movement speed. It would help him get stronger yes, but main issue is how it feels to play him. His whole ADS mechanic need rework. Higher sensitivity and higher FOV. It just sucks to use it.
I really want that Demo change...
I agree to most, some would need to be actually tested tho.
Thanks for the feedback!
The boon nerf I don't really like either, I just couldn't really think of a better one. Feel free to share any suggestions!
The main reason for the CoH suggestion was so that it wasn't so strong with medkits. What if instead the healing speed buff only applied to healing others?
The scourge hook in the basement was mainly to make the basement more threatening but after using Pain Resonance a bit more recently, I can see why 8 scourge hooks might be a bit much. So I agree with you that it shouldn't be there. Maybe Monstrous Shrine could make them Scourge Hooks?
The NOED thing I agree with, I just wanted to give Fire Up some love. But I guess NOED probably should have it more.
Overwhelming Presence for the entire terror radius was the original idea, but I thought that might be a bit OP especially with giant TR Doctor. Maybe it could be increased to 16 or 24 metres but I think you're right and a different rework would probably be better.
Deathslinger I agree with 100%. I wish BHVR would just revert the nerf but I don't see that happening.
Removing the terror radius with Beast of Prey would be fun but I'm not sure if it might be too much.
