We went from being able to reliably escape if the killer chased us last, to reliably dead if the killer chased us last. You need at least 2-3 non brain dead survivors to escape once the killer gets you in the end game.
-
Usually when people overreact they continue to play. What we are seeing is people either just straight up quitting or swapping to killer entirely. I think if BHVR waits too long things could get very very bad.
-
I played a legion game on Garden of Joy, arguable one of the worst killer maps and definitely a one of the harder maps for legion. They barely managed to do 2 gens. Anyone who is telling you to just "adapt to the meta" is a killer main that doesn't want to get nerfed.
-
I got hit healthy at the exit gate entrance and the demo was able to down me before I could get out. Honestly just wish I had a better gaming chair.
-
Overcharge and Eruption is a pretty brutal combo right now on any killer that can get to gens and kick them quickly.
Scourge hook: Pain Resonance is great on killers that struggle to travel around the map. I like to pair it with either Iron Grasp or Agitation.
Lethal Pursuer got a crazy buff that is good on killers that like Barbecue and Chili (Dredge). Or have aura addons.
Corrupt intervention is still very good on any killer with a rough start. Or if you just want to give your self extra time to find people every game.
Those are the most versatile perks in my opinion right now.
-
I am still running BBQ on killers that can make use out of it, Dredge for example loves it. But, you can't go wrong with regression perks, it is a free win if you stack them. Killer games couldn't be more free right now.
I am abusing regression perks until they nerf them, I am a survivor main tired of playing against it. The only way they address it is if I get more people to see how oppressive it is.
-
The map is very close to being fair for both sides. I would take away 1 or two pallets next to the shack, and remove the pallet on the main building porch. Possibly throw in a hole near the gen window in the upstairs exterior wall.
-
If you are worried about this scenario there are perks and items to guarantee you win in this situation. If you aren't running any perks or items to win a 50/50 then you shouldn't be upset when you lose a 50/50.
-
Spine chill needed to be changed it directly trivializes the undetectable status effect. The current version is still way too much for stealth killers and basically makes those killers unplayable on it's own.
The developers should do what they can to accommodate hard of hearing individuals, but spine chill is just too much. The value of that perk is pure insanity when it comes to playing against stealth killers.
-
Legions chase feels like a gimmick where you have to basically trick the killer into messing up.
Something to add to the list.

I have tracked EVERY match I have played since 2017 - over 5k hours as survivor and killer combined with a near 50/50 split.
The rate of survivors dying purposefully on hook/DCs has risen across ALL grades the past few days by slightly over 3%. I did the math a few weeks ago and there was only a .2% increase in Grade 1 players dying purposefully on 1st or 2nd hook/DCing after first down compared to Iri Grade 3 to Ash 4.
And again.. There is no RANK it is GRADE. Ranks were taken out of the game on September 7, 2021.
I feel like you just aren't reading what I type out.

Uhm your Grade level (There are no RANKS) has nothing to do with matchmaking.
People don't care about their MMR they care about getting the 1 million blood points at the end of the month. There is nothing holding you to a single game after you have reached rank 1, you are only increasing or decreasing your MMR if you escape/die. (Personally why I think you should be able to lose pips at rank 1, most DCs and people giving up would stop).
I am trying to explain that people don't care about escaping when they reach rank 1, so if they aren't having fun, they aren't going to play the game out. I understand that MMR is no longer tied to rank, and I think that is also a bad decision but that is another tangent.
-
It is only going to get worse many survivors are still ranking up but as soon as people reach rank 1, you are going to see a lot of games end in the first 5 minutes. This game is a lot of fun, and a good chase will keep me coming back, but thana legion needs to go. Save the best for last needs to be nerfed, regression perks need a limit.
-
Things you can do as a solo survivor main while your chance of escaping is abysmal.
- Que for Killer.
- Play a different game.
-
Generally I would say he is fun to play, and generally I would say it is not fun to play against a good blight. That being said, I played a game of blight on Lery's memorial last night and I wanted to pull my hair out.
-
Prior to this patch yes, mostly a survivor main but if the survivor ques were bad I would swap to killer ques.
Currently the game feels 10 times better to play killer, so since I have hit rank 1 this patch I haven't played a single game as survivor.

I think they were saying it before the patch. Never heard that after the patch. But if you have a link to a video made after the patch, I'd be interested in watching.
He has another video to where he tries to explain how to counter legion. The reality is, a good legion is a patient legion, and no amount of pallet camping is going to get you away from his hits.
-
According to killer mains on the forums and killer mains on YouTube, legion is actually a bad killer. Despite just about every soloQ survivor saying they would rather die on first hook than play the game out.
-
Last patch the best way to avoid dying from being the last person chased was to run DS, Unbreakable. Now the best way to avoid be the free killer kill is to run hope and adrenaline. Thank me later.
-
They will adapt to it by not playing survivor.
-
Being an altruistic survivor is the easiest way currently to rank up and the quickest way to make blood points. People don't do it because of lack of information, not because they aren't rewarded for it. They don't want to run to the hook only to see someone beat them to it, or the killer was waiting for them there.
The problem isn't the reward, it is the risk of leaving the gen. When they add the soloQ buff, this will all but disappear as an issue.
-
I like the idea of a hook timer being significantly longer if the player was tunneled. Maybe just for the first few hooks though, this could be abused by smart players. I would say only if the game had experienced less than 4 hooks.
-
Increase the base line borrowed time to 10+.
Revert the decisive strike nerf to stun duration.
Nerf save the best for last to 3% per stack. And/or have it lose stacks on M2 hits.
Thanatophobia can only proc on M1 hits.
Increase the skill check zone of Overcharge.
Longer hook timer, Add 5-10 seconds.
A system to discourage stacking of 4 regression perks. (Similar to exhaustion for survivors)
Remove spine chill proccing when killer is in range, have it only light up for a terror radius.
Add double blood point perks that do nothing but give you extra blood points.
Remove the ability to one shot down when near hooks, Chainsaws, Iri head hatchets.. etc.
Take away some killers abilities to use their power near hook, doctor for example (M2 not control).
Allow players to bleed out faster when slugged.
Allow overcome to trigger off of endurance hits.
A system to encourage killers to go for all 4 survivors, possibly a combo system that would increase blood point games for the match. Maybe even guarantee pips if the killer manages to down and hook all 4 survivors without double hooking one.

Holy ######### 44% of survivors are SWF?? I assumed much, much lower what the actual #########?
13% are SWFs, the rest of the numbers were 2 mans, 3mans. I don't remember where I saw it, if it was in the live stream or data released after. Or a streamer looking at it again after the live stream.
-
Nothing changed for SWFs, if you think they aren't still bullying killers you aren't playing against SWFs. The only thing that is changing is you are having fewer soloQ lobby's to que into. If you think this patch hurt SWFs even in the slightest you are delusional.
-
Baseline borrowed time buff is too short.
DS stun is too short.
Longer hook timer to match gen speeds.
-
@PaintedDeath said:
OTR is NOT an endurance perk. It is a perk that gives you a second chance once unhooked, you are NOT supposed to run into the killer and use your endurance, you are supposed to use your endurance to basically tank another hit, ALA a health survivor in case the killer decides to tunnel you. OTR is NOT to tank a hit.
If you are the obsession and the killer is using STBL and you don't go harass him what even are you doing?

That is just lies though.
Um, it was literally in the last live stream.

survivor meta is not playing the game and waiting for hotfix of this disastrous one-sided patch
The kill rates would have to be pretty bad for them to do a hotfix to make it less miserable.

SWF games aren't miserable at all.
Only 13% of players are SWFs, designing the game around them is just plain silly.
-
I played against two killers who used it since patch, and both felt impossible to last more than 10 seconds against. If the obsession doesn't pick up on the fact the killer is using it, you basically instantly lose the game.

If incentive can fix it there is no issue I suppose.
It will certainly help, game needs regression perks to be changed. Every killer I am playing against right now just runs 4.
-
@GiveMeTheBox said:
But what about the BP incentive- oh, wait...
Not going to lie, playing on Tuesday versus playing on Wednesday was like someone shot me up with heroin and then immediately shoved me in a prison cell the next day.
-
The question is how many games have you won against killers running 4 regression perks?
-
@POLBOY said:
nah, used to be worse, wait a couple of days
It'll keep getting worse until they turn the que incentive back on.

People who are actively harming the experience for other players because they aren't getting their way you mean. In other words, crybabies will cry.
I would argue abusing broken game mechanics is harming my game experience.

This. This right here is the problem with the game. Too many survivors throw hissy fits when they don't get their way so they DC hoping to bully the devs into giving them their easy mode back.
It's time to make harsher DC penalties.
That seems like a good way to anger already angry people.
-
They just showed us that 56% of the player base is soloQ survivors, and people on the forums don't understand why survivor mains are quitting. We were told this patch was going to make camping and tunneling harder, so that soloQ survivors felt like they had tools to deal with it. What it ended up doing was not touching camping at all, and actually making tunneling something you should do. On top of making killers stronger and nerfing your best tools to deal with tunneling.
Anyone telling you to calm down and stop whining, is not doing you any favors, they are trying to shut you up.
-
There is no reason not to prestige anymore, it is essentially a free mechanic at this point. If you are asking if you should prestige certain characters, I would prestige anyone to P3 that you might use the perks of.
-
I win 100% of the games I am able to get use out of deliverance while running off the record. It is easily the most broken interaction you can do as a survivor right now. I also unhook instantly while they are in range because I want them to chase me, and 9 times out of 10 they just don't. I would take killing dead hard for off the record any day of the week.
-
I tried to warn people before the patch that a slow down meta was on the way, I was treated like a whiner and told "you can't play without dead hard".
Enjoy your 20 minute killer ques.
-
Off the record is single handedly responsible for killers not trying to tunnel as much, so it is amazing. It could even be dropped down to 20 seconds and I would still run it. Love the perk, it goes extremely well with deliverance.
-
I have started farming people but I take chase and body block, I am also running Deliverance and OTR. I love it so much because 9 times out of 10 I end up being chased for the rest of the game. Only a few killers so far have hit me and then continued tunneling.
-
The game was already balanced around kill rates being between 2-2.5k per game. With this massive shift to killers being buffed it's no surprise survivors have started to complain. I wonder if killers will start to complain when their que times start to become 15 minutes and more.
-
If overcome worked with endurance hits it would easily be my favorite exhaustion perk, unfortunately it does not. It did get a massive buff this patch with killers not camping as much. Sprint burst and lithe if used properly, are still the best value exhaustion perks across a wide spectrum of games and maps.
-
I expect to see a permanent survivor que bonus, killers are having a lot of fun outside of paying against SWFs. Solo survivors are feeling the burn of not only nerfing what allows them to survive on their own, but a killer wide buff.
So enjoy playing killer and try to find some good players to play with.
-
Been running Windows, OTR, Deliverance, and Lithe with some good success. Had a game where a deathslinger was demolishing us with save the best for last and I ended up being the obsession. I was able to consistently take away his stacks and bring his inevitable 4k down to a 2-1k.
-
@Raccoon said:
If I recall correctly, the original plan was to buff Solo to SWF levels, and then buff killers afterwards.
Was the kill rate truly so low that this plan was abandoned, altogether?
They haven't abandoned it, its just on the back burner, they said if they have extra time this year they will try and slip it into a patch. I expect we won't see it for quite some time, but it is coming. I would much rather they focus on some solutions to camping and tunneling, this patch was a good start but it needs more. One shot downs near hook needs to go.
-
The killers that have figured out tunneling is the best way to win still. Sadge.
-
@Header said:
got destroyed in my first game of the patch so idk about that
Same I literally just played the killer that gets me to rank 1 and I got 1k and 7 hooks. Every survivor in the lobby threw at least 2-3 pallets a chase, even with spirit fury enduring they just started pre dropping. An easy L.
