Oh no I was referring more to Rezblaze and everyone who followed. I preferred your original idea.

Ah alright thought, sorry about that then, I missunderstood!

  • Hm I am personally not a fan of random things. The idea is not bad but that would make Trapper more unreliable imo. I personally preffer buffing Trapper otherwise.

My idea was to punish injured survivors somehow if they get trapped, maybe they suffer from the Honing Stone effect when they step into a trap while beeing injured? Also let the trapper carry 2 or 3 traps at base and the random traps around the map should spawn near too hooks and gens. Also make that survivors get some sort of punishment for disarming a trap, it is already punishing enough for the trapper getting a trap disarmed, so give a "cost" to disarm the trap imo. Maybe disarming traps should have a cooldown, make you mangled? Increase the rescue time to help someone out of a trap to 4 or 5 sec. Also survivors should not be able to free themselves at random luck at the first time. Make it that survivors have to struggle atleast 3 times without a chance to escape, then at the 4th and other times your chances increases to escape from the trap by yourself. And last but not least, make it not able to dead hard over traps. That would be my suggestions, still just my opinion thought.

  • That sounds like a horrible idea. I got yesterday randomly without any reason a Dc. My connection was fine, ping and hardware was fine. I just got kicked out by Dbd itself and got a penatly, maybe the server lost me for some reason. But now I should get perm banned for that? With a 100k stable connection? Nice sounds fair xD

  • @GoodBoyKaru said:

The only issue with this is the same as the issue with swf and OoO. They used to have hooks be customised based on the killer, not the map, but since survivors could easily know exactly which killer it was early on then they changed it to keep the surprise. If they knew immidiately it was a spirit, then some would just instantly dc, or verses a plague they'd know to double down on gens before she'd even found someone.

It's a cool idea, but I'd rather have the customisation be player specific not killer specific for this exact reason.

I guess you missunderstood that, Its just our own taste, I would personally do that because I want that it would fit to my Killer. You should be able to freely custimize the basement regardless which Killer you have. Same with the charm, you have a Trapper charm but you can use it on every Killer for example.

  • @Tingly4Trapper said:

BHVR hire this man/woman. A rebuild and destroy mechanic would make this game so refreshing. It gives the survivors something else to do too.

Thank you, I am glad you acknowledged my idea!

  • Also I forgot to mention. The breaking animtion for walls is very boring, just the pallet break animtion... They could atleast make a unique animation to break a wall because its getting dull seeing the same animation 5 billion times. Breaking gens, pallets and walls... everything the same.

  • @Talmeer said:

I have always thought that breaking walls would not be the "savior of killers", but don't you think it would be a bit hard for survivors if they run across the map, just so that you destroy then the walls asap later then?

I am usually on the killerside, but that sounds a bit much for the survivors if we compare the necessary time for each task.

That said, I think to give survivors something to search for would be a great idea, but imo for this would be generators better. Instead of skillchecks that they have then to search generator parts across the map.

I know what you mean but in the other hand, dont forget that rebuilding those walls is not your main objective. That could be the "side objective" that many players desperatly try to find. It is just optional and doesnt help to escape so yes, it would be balanced in my opinion. Since the time you find the wood and go to the wall to repair it is the time you dont repair. Thats a fair trade imo.

To balance swf out that would just let 1 person always try to repair the walls, maybe add just 3 or 4 woods in total. So the "rebuild" is very limited and cant be "spammed".

  • Agree, this perk is not that great and is... well garbage honestly xD And it only works somehow decent with a combination of Ruin or Pop somehow. But the devs told us that they want to make anti gen perks not synergize.

  • @Rivyn said:

I'd love that as well, but survivors would need something on their end. Maybe let them customize the exit gates?

Yes survivors need something else, maybe let them customize some gens? For every survivor 1 gen? So basicly everyone has their "own" gen. And the last gen is a "entity" own gen with some cool looks.

  • @Rezblaze said:

I would love to see the basement customized based on which killer is currently being played.

Like for Huntress, you can see racks of her various kills in there, maybe the bodies of some soldiers where she gets her infantry belts. Some easter eggs to each of their backstories.

For Billy maybe the floor could be riddled with dead corpses of farm animals and entrails.

I'm going to come back with some ideas and share them!

Oh boy or a "graffiti" style'd basement for the Legion. There can be so many possibilitys!

Lol most killers get nerfed after release, I've played since leatherface

Good thing that never happened, playing since beta... xD Only a handfull Killers got nerfed after release, I told you there some examples where it didnt and I could keep going with spirit, clown or new freddy (Only forever freddy but that build was just beyond painfull).

  • Survivor: The game

Killer: Coldwind Farm, Mac Millian, Autoheaven, Haddonfield, Disturbed ward

  • I only get this when I miss a hit to down a survivor because of autoaim or how the devs call it "aim dressing". But I never want to quiet the game, imo that shows how weak minded some ppl are. Never give up!

  • @kill_bill said:

the most horrifying about the game is the balance :P

I never was so scared in my life! :C

  • Hm it would be still too useless honestly. I would preffer to see a rework or a complete new effect that would effect exhaustion somehow.

  • I used to play ALOT Killer but the past few weeks I play more survivor. So currently a 80/20 survivor/killer.

The reason BHVR had to change old Legion was blatant abuse. I mean, you could spam Feral Frenzy stabs on one survivor until they went down. Don't get me wrong I liked a lot of old Legion's quirks, being able to Frenzy without a full power bar, being able to pressure survivors with Deep Wounds without having to run off to the shadow realm.

It's just too bad that far too many Youtubers (Whose names I cannot mention) constantly announced how he could be abused, and so he was abused.

I agree but you could fix those abuse issues and add the "missing m1 to lose FF" to the old Legion without changing the power to that as it is now.

You complain about something that sounds very selfish. It’s just sad. You even said yourself “4Ks often” that’s not supposed to be a thing. You do realize that right? So this game should be coded to make 4/5 people in every lobby just die most of the time? That’s stupid. I think it’s unbalanced and a lot of the killers need a nerf. People fight hard on survivor to win too and as I’ve seen from a solo standpoint, there’s like 5% chance of making it out alive. I feel like There ought to be loops everywhere, but as soon as killer breaks one you rarely have time to go to another because lag or some bs speed the killers have ☹️. You forget that gen control is also part of the game not kills. Avoiding a loop is the last of your worries because it’s predictable. Just Protect the gens man and enjoy some chases. Try to have fun with the game rather than complain.

Either way you didnt read my post properly or you refuse to understand what I wrote there. My issue was never about kills or balancing. My issue is that the sounds are that bugged that it is not fun anymore. I cant have fun with a flawed programmed Killer.

  • @toxicmegg said:

no one forced you to change your main, it was your own choice. perhaps you like to play broken killers and when they get balanced a little you don't want to play them anymore because you can't abuse them. though legion nerf was too much, i agree on that. they changed it too much

sound buggs are not balancing, idk where you got that from, I never mentioned anything about the spirit nerf, imo the spirit nerf was too weak, they should've add that the moaning of survivors are not directional.

  • @Seanzu said:

"Forced You" no, they're still very playable, you just don't want to adapt.

    "adapt" xD good one

  • @ZoneDymo

We are in 2020, software and hardware have issues but are already pretty advanced in terms of technologie. It is not normal that a seller is not able to keep a product up for their paying customers. Its not okey that a entire DLC Killer is not working properly for months, even thought you can play the others, it just shouldnt be like that.

  • @VigilStrange said:

Boring to you maybe. They paid for the game, and they can play it how they want. When you rule the whole of reality then you get to tell them how to play the game.

    A wise man has spoken!

  • @ZoneDymo

I played every Killer often enough, and having a main character in any game is just as natural as having a internet connection to play. You can even check my leaderboard stats if you dont believe me that I played every Killer a decent amount.

  • @ZoneDymo said:

bruh, you are not suppose to have a main yo, PLAY THEM ALL

    Oh yeah, that guy...

What was his name again? I can't remember. It's right on the tip of my tongue.

Yes I know... I almost have it in mind give me a min!...

  • @Eye66 said:

Wait a week, betting it goes live exactly as it was in the PTB and he'll still get nerfed for some nonsensical reason in the first few days. Or at very least wait for patch notes or streamers to get thsir hands on him

Dafuq when did they ever do that? xD Ghostface got fixed in 1 week after PTB launch, Demogorgon got even a ultra rare as basekit... Oni got QoL changes that are all healthy and nice. Since I am oni main I hear alot of complains about how busted he is but still they didnt do anything to him yet.

  • @toxicmegg said:

it's a strat that helps them bring in items that are part of the game and avoid moris/franklin's demise.

This here. I just want to play flashlights to practice flashlight saves, but when I let the flashlight at the lobby.. Killers always bring moris or sweaty slugg builds with strong Killers. Thats why I switch in the last second. BUT if 4 survivors in swf do that with toolboxes and medkits etc then that is not fine imo. 1-2 items are totally fine but 4 are abit too much for my opinion.

  • Mori, Spirit, Nurse or Oni. Slugg all 4 of them ez win. They will probably rage quit, dont try this at home!

  • @Big_Trash_Panda said:

This is not how you meet women

Haha that made my day xDD

  • I agree with that, I would love to see a timer for a game, I hate to have those 20min machtes because the last 2 survivors are just immersing around and camping hatch, not touching any gen.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1145534#Comment_1145534

Have you played Legion at high ranks? Legion's playstyle is vastly different to most killers. Sure, they can vault pallets and get an easy hit, but their power is the only nonlethal power in the game. Every other killer's power can down (or heavily assist them in downing) a survivor. Legion physically has no way of using their power to down people without Frank's Mixtape. Their stun is longer than nurses fatigue, they don't have an ability to down people quickly, their power is set back for every basic attack... Their power is limited so very much making it hard to use.

There is nuance with it too, since the question to frenzy or not to frenzy is a question that depends on the situation. Knowing that downing the unhooked survivor gives you nothing but DS, just frenzy hit them instead. It pressures them to stay away for a few seconds and gives you a chance to find people who will not potentially dead hard away from you.

Not only that, but a lot of maps do not help Legion at all. Not even Ormond.

You are thinking of Nurse. Nurse has muscle memory (at least on PC, I was talking Xbox specifically, even then Legion is not muscle memory on PC either). Legion is very reactionary and very much play by play. They are great at getting information. They are terrible at acting on it. That is why I label Legion as Hard. That, and they are bad at pressuring gens, similar in a way to Old Freddy.

I dont want to be rude but you dont need to explain me what Legion can do or how they work, I mained Legion before they got destroyed xD. I am totally aware what Legion's potential is. That still doesnt say that Legion is hard to play. The only single difficulty on Legion is to pray to autoaim to not let you hit a tree or corner but thats it. Everything else is pure basic M1 or with power M1. Every other Killer, even Leatherface, offers any mechanical skill or knowledge where to use your power. On Legion you dont have to think, you see a survivor healthy? Just use m2 and stab them, thats it.

  • @wisdomwielder said:

All these are great, but I would also like to add that there are a ton of glitches and sound bugs plaguing the killer side right now. Nurse is practically unplayable right now with all her bugs that ruin approximately one in three games for me when I try to play her. Sound bugs include not being able to hear slugged survivors. There are probably a ton more but I can't think of them right now.

    @EvilJoshy said:

Because killer is the minority. DS was bugged and got fixed in a week. Meanwhile audio has been a problem for how many months?

Agree with that, I gave up as Spirit main and switched now to oni even. I am just simply not able to play my main Killer because the devs need ages to fix simple buggs.

  • @RussianSpyPigeon said:

For survivors: Keys, generator repair speed, fix the fact that a survivor can go directly under a hooked survivor to avoid being hit.

For killer: Buffing some of the worst killers in the game, fix the ranking system because it's ridiculous that brown ranks go against red and purple ranks. Fixing tunneling and lag switching.

Other then that I think that certain killers and survivors should have better lores, and cosmetics that go well with their lore. And I think they should fix mori animations. Bubba and Billy chainsaw someone in half but the body stays intact.

Lag switch is not possible anymore with the dedicated servers.

  • @Rezblaze said:

I think the removal of tunneling and camping would outweigh the trouble of longer gen repair.

I dont mean that it woud cause trouble, it would be boring as hell...

These were of course not just because of feedback here, but also because of statistics and other design team input. But the feedback here helped prioritize those changes and get them in sooner. There are more, but these are good examples.

Forever Freddy complaints led to nerfing those addons.

Feedback on Plague and the no-cleanse strategy led to giving her a bonus apple to start with.

Some unannounced changes for the next Mid-Chapter update.

Concerns about Legion weakness led to the recent FF speed increase and restoration of their original vault speed.

Concerns about spending too much time mending led to a shorter mend timer.

@Almo Legions problem was not just about FF itself, Legion lacks highly of lethality, thats something that makes the Killer extremly unfun. Also alot of players complained about the stun after missing a hit in FF. Both of these mentioned problems where not adressed at all and these are problems that were ALOT more often requested. Also you guys said that you wanted to take a look into the addons of Legion, you guys just changed 1 single addon and adjusted slightly some already fine addons but the most problematic addons like Franks Mixtape, Susies Mixtape or Deep wound study that all of them has no use for the Killer were just ignored.

Besides many many Legion things.. what about nurse feedback? Many to almost all players were not happy with the nurse cooldown but you guys still pushed it through and now are ignoring her bugs that make her play more frustrating then she already was?

  • Wraith is a interesting Killer, he fits to Dbd well and is very cool. I love his scarecrow skin thought, definatly one of the best skins in the game currently.

  • I get most of the time billys or huntress's on Pc :/

  • I only do that if a survivor sandbaggs, atleast 2 or more dcs/suicides or a really bad survivor that farmed or killed the entire team otherwise. I feel bad then, its not something the others wanted that to happen. But I only do thatt at the start of the day when I started playing, when it is getting late I start to get more stressed because of dbd or when I am tired. If I am tired or stressed then I most likely just kill all.

  • @Raven014 said:

What I would change the descriptions to (For console):

Trapper: Hard (Knowing where and when to trap for every map is one of the most difficult things in the game)

Wraith: Intermediate (He can be seen from across the map if people know what they are looking for, and he only has his stealth. He's one note and he suffers from it.)

Hillbilly: Easy (its easy to land the saw on top of a survivor, but using it creatively has a high skill ceiling)

Nurse: Hard (Perhaps Intermediate on PC)

Shape: Intermediate (His limited amount of T3s with his )

    Hag: Hard

Doctor: Intermediate (His static blast can be very braindead to use.)

Huntress: Hard (Hitbox shenanigans and imprecise controls really hurt her on console.)

Cannibal: Intermediate/Hard (Not quite sure which)

Nightmare: Intermediate (He used to be hard to play, but now he isn't. If you place traps, one person will fall for it.)

Pig: Hard (RBTs aren't a threat and most loops do not cater to Pig at all.)

Clown: Hard (To use his slowdown, he has to slow down. He's basically a default M1 killer with no power... without an instadown. It makes me wish that Redheads pinky finger to be basekit to reward proper aim...)

Spirit: Hard (Thats if you don't have a good set of headphones. If you do then they're more intermediate.)

Legion: Hard (Their playstyle is hard to master and difficult to learn without a person to teach you.)

Plague: Intermediate (Very onenote, but in the next patch they should be good. They aren't affected as much by controller usages as the Huntress or Nurse is.)

Ghostface: Intermediate (Despite his inconsistencies, he can be quite easy to get into. Mastering him is hard though.)

Demogorgon: Intermediate/Hard (Portal maintenance and clunky mechanics make this one hard to use for not a very high gain.)

Oni: Intermediate (Not hard to understand, but has a big learning curve. Also punishes survivors for not healing too.)

What legion is hard? Dafuq? Idk what you are telling yourself there but that is not true xD Its not opinion wise, Legion's power is very easy to understand and use, there is nothing that require any mechanical skill or muscle memory, you just run and m1 everyone that glows red, nothing hard there.

  • Imo The game is fine, it just needs more windows and less pallets to compensate that, but overall this map is cool and a nice alternation to other maps.

  • @[Deleted User] said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/135613/please-do-something-to-gideons-meat-plant

Gideon is one of the few maps as killer I’m normally very relieved to spawn on.

Yeah sure, there are TONS of absurdly safe pallets, but against all odds they somehow don’t seem to be too much of a problem for me.

    Weird, I know.

The reason is that this map has only a handfull of windows, that means if the pallets will run out and the gens are not done in that time by juggeling good or the survivors just dont hold M1, then it is basicly a free win for you as Killer. You just have to eat all pallets and eventually if all or atleast the most pallets are gone you won on this map. Also this map is awsome at tracking survivors, it is very easy to hear the footstebs, especially because this map has 2 floors and is really small.

  • Well this depends on which Killer you played, on a Legion, Clown, Trapper, Plague, Pig or Leatherface then there isnt much you can against that except break pallets and juggle around, apparently you dont know how to juggle but there are alot of guides that can help you out.

But if you played any other Killer then you really need to watch guides how to play these Killer, every other Killer can easily punish survivors by panic throwing downs.

  • Except the generator 25% slowdown the Idea is really interesting and good. I dont think slowing down the survivors would be fun for their side, maybe block some areas of the map and generators and if the meter is filled open them? Or something else, it was just a random idea though.

Haddonfield, Rotten Fields, Thompson House, Fractured Cow Shed, Ormond, Ironworks, Groaning Storehouse, The Game (with 2 God Pallets), The New Desert map is Camo-Dette heaven, Gas Heaven, Azervo's Resting Place, Pallet Lodge, Disturbed Ward, Temple of Purgation, Grim Pantry,

    Killer sided maps.

Sheltered Woods, The Game (stealth Killers), Lery's (except Nurse), Coal Tower.

Torment Creek can go either way if the God window spawns or not.

Coal tower is Killer sided dafuq? Well guess I am just bad if all 4 survivors keep running to the god loop :/

I would say that Azerov's Resting Place is a Killer sided map aswell, it has very few pallets and it is very easy to 3 gen survivors there.

  • Well now everyone feels now how old Legion mains feel. I can feel the pain of these ppl but just like us you guys have to get over it, the devs just dont care :). And I agree that the change was totally unnecessary, it really feels like the reason of that was to punish ppl that likes her, even though almo says the opposide.

  • Plague new top tier Killer?

  • Legion is a joke as Killer, he is weak and has more downsides to their power than benefits. The gameplay is very boring and frustrating and doesnt feel rewarding at all. Its very boring to play against a Legion aswell because he has no power to down someone, so there is nothing that spices up the chase against a Legion. Its very easy to bully a legion and there is no "danger" coming from this Killer.

I love Legion from the disgn (especially susie <3) but they srsly need some help. Imo adding a secondary power to down survivors would help legion alot.
