Cheer up, a survivor who DC's on you is getting themselves a hefty penalty and probably won't be in your next match.
The OP said "since it came to Gamepass" which means they're playing on XBox. No dedicated servers, no penalties. DCs are rampant on XBox right now. I would say I get an average of 1 every 3 games when I play killer(yellow ranks) and 1 every 6 when I play survivor(green/purple ranks).

Nice necro. I'd moved on and forgot all about this and you until you responded to it again.

Those aren't your totems. I legit thought this was going to be a killer complaining about their hexed totems getting cleansed. You don't want to run extra perks or a map to find totems, then you just gotta use your eyes, and memorize locations. Other options for your healing issues is to use self care, bring a med kit, use bond to find your teammates and have them heal you, etc etc.
Just because you are running a certain perk, doesn't mean they have to give you totems to use the perk. They could be running it as well! Who gets to claim the ownership of the totem then? Maybe the person who found it first? Crazy...

I did report and block the problem is it was all through instagram they can still harass other people though playstation
True. If you have evidence of the cross platform harassment, then you can send that too all platforms support. Not always, but sometimes if the harassment is serious enough then they can take action. So, the Insta harassment can get them banned on the PS4. It's a hassle to deal with, and likely won't be that productive in the long run but if it can give you some peace of mind it is there.
-
That sounds more like harassment than your basic toxicity. Report, and block.
-
Not always! Only time I've used No Mither in recent years was for the Tome Challenge. I got downed with 1 gen left. The killer went looking for the last survivor as the other two had died. I healed up just before the other survivor popped the last gen, and I was able to open the exit and escape! Very very very rare occurrence though. Heh.
But honestly yes! Part of No Mither should be that you aren't broken at the start of the match. I'd even settle for appearing healthy but still being one hit downed. If you get hooked, then upon being unhooked you're broken, if you get slugged, then you heal up to injured, and are then broken, showing that you can't be healed any more.

This week I've noticed 3 people attempt to unhook themselves as I am nearby and about to unhook them which I can only find as selfishness.
The latest one who cobed on their second attempt decided to selfcare despite two of us having run to them and were waiting to heal them... they DC'd during a mori (*sigh!*)
On a happier note I was delayed by spine chill on the way to one of them so they found themselves on their 2nd hook as I couldn't grab them shortly after their 2nd kobe attempt (*again sigh!*)
The sad fact of it is, this isn't a 4v1 if you run solo. It's a 1v1v1v1v1. Other survivors mostly care about themselves first. Their bloodpoints, their escape, their saves, and with the Tome challenges, "Sorry, had to complete this challenge" is the most common comment I get for when I get sandbagged.
Are there exceptions? Of course! Is it a majority? Maybe. I only have my own experiences to draw from, so YMMV.

You seem like one of those people that are only after one thing starting trouble or to show everyone you are the big bully . You option means nothing to me. I don't know you do not contact me again.
You put something out on an open forum, I responded. Don't like it? Fine. You don't have to. I'm not bullying you, or trying to start trouble. I put forth what I felt was constructive feedback to your open discussion, and rather than respond to that, you focused only on my correcting your use of the word "we" since you do not in fact speak for everyone. So can we get back to the topic on hand?
-
Offerings? No. Perks? Yes. With the small amount of information you've given I can only guess that one of two things happened.
1: Killer using Iron Maiden. If you had recently exited a locker, your survivor would have screamed, and you would have been exposed(One hit downs) for 15 seconds.
2: Killer using Hex: Haunted Grounds. If you, or another survivor cleansed one of two lit totems activated by this perk, all survivors become exposed for 40/50/60 seconds depending on the tier of the perk.
I doubt Make Your Choice or Hex: Devour Hope would have been in effect, since you say it was the first 30 seconds, and NoED couldn't be active yet either.
Since you weren't aware of what Exposed meant, here's a list of all the different statuses :D

I don't know u so don't act like a DA u won't get treated like one, I speak for those I do know.
When you don't specify whom you are speaking for, then that means you are presenting as though you speak for everyone. Don't be vague about it, and such conversations can be avoided.
Since you only focused on one aspect of what I said, I'll take that as you have nothing further to add to the topic. Good day to you.
-
@Jackel "so we say if we lose our inventory that fast we should pay a lower blood cost" you do not speak for everyone. Don't presume to do so.
The cost is the same as it was before the update. If your inventory is running low, then maybe you should try running less add-ons, and such. No, this is not me saying "Git gud" just that if you're using them too much, adjust your play style. Items and add-ons are helpful, but not necessary to play or win.
Also I would suggest you main one survivor, so that your BP all goes to that person's bloodweb, rather than spreading it out over several characters.
" It make players not even want to spend blood points it is pointless."
No, the point of the bloodweb is to spend your points on it. That's the grind of this game.

You asked a question. I answered it. Also, the correct spelling for those words you seem to have an issue with are as follows: 1=one. u=you. b=be. sight=site. While sight is the correct spelling for when you are referring to being able to see, with your sense of vision, you wanted site, as that refers to a location. IE a web site. 😎

You think the Deathslinger's mori is... disturbing? ... This game is still based in a horror theme, right? Horror is supposed to be disturbing, right? Also, there are people who refuse to play as, or against Plague because of the vomit. Not because she's "weak", but because the vomit grosses them out. Her mori is he literally drowning the survivor in vomit. Meyer's STAB, then slow pull out, and then slow stabbing again as the survivor pitifully tries to fight him off.
I could go on, but you have zero issues with any other mori in the game, but a spear through the back of the head is too much for you?

Why are you responding to this? It's just someone being -social- on a -media- platform.

If the whole point of a PTB was to test for bugs and exploits, why did previous killers receive buffs or nerfs after a PTB? You're making stuff up just to protect BHVR. The overwhelming feedback from this community was that the new killer was weak and needed buffs. And their best response is that people just didn't have enough time to get used to him? I remember watching streamers like Otzdarva, Zubatlel and Tru3Ta1ent getting embarrassed in the PTB trying to win with this killer. If players with thousands of hours under their resume can't win with this killer, what hope does the average player have? BHVR is frankly insulting the ability and intelligence of their audience, and veteran players won't be surprised by it as they've been dealing with it for years.
No, you're question was about the WHOLE POINT of a ptb. It's to test things in a public forum. As for why others things happened at other times, I don't know. I wasn't there to hear the reasons behind those changes being made, and why the changes people wanted for this Chapter weren't.
I'm not making things up to protect BHVR. I have my issues with some things they have or have not done, but I try to not add on to the pile of negativity that they already hear on a daily basis.
As for the "Overwhelming feedback" that's what you saw. They have access to more data and feedback than just what you saw some streamers and forum posts say. As for the streamers struggling.. I saw streamers get wins with him. Ones with thousands of hours under their belts. Did the dominate? No, sometimes they would loose.
The long and short of it is, you were being hyperbolic in your response to Peanits, I gave you an answer. You don't like that answer, and no one and nothing will change your mind.

Isn't the whole point of the PTB is to get feedback from the players? Are you saying that you're willfully ignoring feedback?
No, the whole point of a PTB is to mass test for bugs and exploits that internal QA can't or wouldn't think to try. If the issues people brought up with Deathslinger's consistency are prevalent enough, then adjustments will be made. They aren't "Willfully ignoring feedback" they will take that feedback, along with any other information they can gather with the Chapter going live, and make changes based off all the data. Not just a one week sampling. Just like any other game studio would do.
The only "feedback" they likely ignore is when someone says "Ur game sux. Fix it."

my recolection was that it was stated on a dev stream recently it was. i'd have to go find it before but i've been hearing others ALSO talking about hearing it.
It was said by Peanits in another thread here on the forums that it is not bannable, and that reports would be ignored. It was another thread about hook tech, and it was a couple weeks ago. A lot of people then raged about exploits by killers being ban worthy(Legion's infinity mending for example), but exploits for survivors being allowed.
-
"He could chase survivor with base speed while emitting chainsaw sound. Is it bannable?"
I don't see why that would be ban worthy... I mean he can rev the chainsaw while in chase without getting the sprint, so why would a sound bug that the killer has no control over require a ban?
"So basically abusing that glitch is fine?"
How is it being abused? I feel like you're holding something back, or don't realize that you're not telling us everything.
"So its a feature then."
Great way to make yourself seem more like a troll, and not someone with an actual concern about the game.
-
The livestream just ended, and the DLC was confirmed for March 10th
-
While that could be interesting to some, the effort to make custom mori, and a system to pull which one plays at any given moment, just for a different finger to get cut off... not worth it.
If they were to put into that effort it would be better served to make custom moris for all the killers, since Trapper, and Wraith share essentially the same, and for the Clown to get a different animation all together, like shoving one of his bottles into the survivors mouth so they choke on it would be more rewarding.
It's not a bad idea, just very unlikely to happen.

Thanks for your comments I just want to know what the community think. But If you talk about statistics, the ruin was the most used perk by the killers in 60 percent of the games and what do you think if most players use a perk, the best decision was to remove it? For me that is a mistake, if my client buys a product more than the other one I try to work on those who do not buy and leave as they are those who do buy.
Making your title a statement, and not a question based on your feelings, is not asking what the community thinks. But so as not to detract into a debate about the way you posed your query, I'll leave it at that. The answer to that question can easily be found by looking at these forums, what people said when the change was first announced, then tested, and then implemented into the game.
Your anecdote about your clients, and products doesn't correlate 1:1 for the way to run an online video game that will always require updates and tweaking. Devs said that the change was needed, because it was used so often, making it feel as if it was a requirement to play killer. Paraphrasing of course. It needed to be changed because lower rank survivors, and those new to the game, were being punished for not being able to hit great skill check, while survivors are higher ranks, and had more time and experience could hit the great skill checks much more easily, making it's use at red ranks, despite how commonly it was use, nearly useless, as it didn't slow down the game. Not to mention that those experienced survivors could find the totem far more easily than newer/less experienced survivors.
That was what I recall being the reasoning behind the change. I tend to agree with it. Other do as well. Folks like yourself disagree, or would say that a change was needed but not the one given, etc etc. It's a case of you'll never please everyone all of the time.
-
The run on sentence that is that post is rough to get through, but I think I've managed to decipher it...
The changes to Hex: Ruin did not kill the game. Are there less Red Rank killers because of it? Possibly. Only the game devs have those stats. In truth there are SEVERAL reasons for why there could be less red rank killers(Again, no evidence is out there support that assumption). Ruin in all likelihood is not at the top of that list.
I won't, and honestly can't list every possible reason. But thinking that Hex: Ruin was literally the only thing holding DbD together is just ridiculous. Yes, some killers could have quit because of the change, but that doesn't kill DbD. Bad match making could cause some killers to quit, but it also affects survivors, so that is also only circumstantial.
DbD is not dead. The vocal minority will continue to complain, and bemoan everything the devs do. When something they don't like gets fixed, then someone else will step up and find something to complain about. If tomorrow Match making was perfect, and Ruin was restored to it's former status, you might step down, but someone else will come up in your place and say that survivors being able to crouch is OP, and getting rid of that will also stop teabagging, so it should be removed.
Making theoretical statements based on feelings, as if they were empirical statements, does zero good to helping the game.

so I know DBD is losing its soul with all these updates like breakable walls and 16 charges Engineers Toolboxes
I was wondering whats the devs up to next?
a killer who can fly across maps with a 40 second cooldown?
a survivor who can lie down in the grass?
so are we going to find ourselves playing a game we always knew as DBD soon and it will feel like overwatch ?
can't you just set shack windows to get blocked with 2 vaults instead of 3? thats an easy tweak and won't change the core soul of DBD.. breaking walls ?? really? whos the next survivor ? John J Rambo? and the killer is the russian general with a helicopter?
You feel like it's loosing it's soul, but that doesn't make it true. As for the breakable walls... right now it's only on the new map, and that's so they can't see how it works when the public at large uses them! IE.. it's a test. If it breaks the balance that THE DEVS(Not players) are looking for, they can take it out. If it doesn't, then it will be added to other maps. Also, it's hardly game breaking from what I've experienced so far since it's not the killer going all Kool-Aid Man anywhere they want. It's select and in predetermined places. As a survivor, the only 'looping' breaking spot is in the shack. You still have your t-walls, and your near-infinites on all the other maps.
Now that's just mechanics, and doesn't really address your overall theme to this post of loosing it's soul. At it's soul, DbD is an asymmetrical multi-player game, with horror themes. That has not changed. To reply to your hyperbole no, Rambo won't be a survivor. He's an action character, not a horror character. Same as why we don't have Sarah Conner. While the T-800 could fit as one of the killers, Sarah doesn't.
If you one day wake up, and while playing DbD you feel like you're playing Overwatch, and you don't like that, then simply stop playing. But just because you feel that way, doesn't make it fact.

The practice of slugging the third person and waiting out the bleed out timer to try to ensure there's no hatch escape is completely killer sided and lacks counterplay.
The game won't end normally with two survivors left and all the options for the last survivor only appear after the third one is dead.
I think that doubling or tripling the bleed out timer when there are only two survivors left would do wonders because it actually puts pressure on the killer to hook instead of leaving them slugged. And it makes the game end faster when the killer holds the game hostage by waiting out the bleed out timer when the last two survivors are both are slugged
Lacks counter play? So, the slug isn't allowed to heal up to 98%(Or whatever it is) then crawl to a place the killer likely won't find them, but the 4th survivor who can see them could run over, heal them up, and then they both get away? That.. that's not possible? At all? Unbreakable for the slug to get themself up when the killer is hunting the 4th? That's not a counter play?
Also, last week you were complaining about slugging, and said the bleed out timer should be shorted so you can die and leave without having to DC and incur the DC penalty. Now you want it doubled or tippled? Is there supposed to be a button you can toggle for which bleed out timer you get? "I don't like this slugging, so I want to die faster" and then the next game "This killer slugged me to hunt the 4th, so I want to die slower.. 3 times slower!"
I'm becoming more and more convinced you're just trolling now for attention.

Bleed out timer reduced to one minute.
Survivors can pick themselves up normally without perks.
Unbreakable buffed to 50% recovery time to compensate for being less special.
Slugging games are no fun for anyone and usually no one pips
Timer reduced: So I can die before my teammates have a chance to come get me up? No thanks
Self pick-up without perks: So Unbreakable and No-Mither are broken perks? No thanks
Unbreakable buffed: Why not 100% Add in Botany Knowledge and you can pop back up before the killer even gets out of terror radius! Don't break the perk, and then make a suggestion that you have no idea of how that balance would work.
No one pips: Confirmation bias. You have 0 data to support this hyperbole.
Slugging doesn't need a nerf, because it's not a mechanic of the game. No one is required to slug. It's a strategy, that does get used legitimately. If you are having issues with constant slugging for luls killers, then take a break from the game for a while, because there is nothing the devs can do to stop it, and not everyone has the issue. Personally I've had it happen once, and it was just after EGC came out and the killer wanted to see me die to EGC. But I managed to escape anyway.

Id try out detective's hunch. I can understand when the totem thats in the corner of a swamp map goes unnoticed or something, but detective's hunch has a large enough range to cover the majority of the map each time it goes off (or even the FULL map if your standing in the middle). If you take on the middle gen right away, you can uncover the location of every totem on the map. Bringing a map with you can also record this information so you can check it again after the perk wears off. This is a pretty reliable counter to ALL Hex perks in the game.
OPs issue is that he doesn't want to change his perk build. Any viable solution that requires them using Small Game or Det. Hunch falls on deaf ears.
-
I would recommend getting yourself a post-it note. When the match finalizes and fades to black, slap that post-it over the end game chat. Then if those toxic survivors want to 'Megalolz" at you, you don't see it. You don't get GGs either, but that doesn't seem to be something worth mentioning in this post. You stay away from teabags at the exit as you like, and as you say, you wouldn't mind the points for closing hatch, means you also wouldn't mind not getting them.
-
Some counters for NoED...
Break totems
Stealth: Don't get found
Dead Hard when found(Does require being injured previous to NoED activating)
Looping
Escaping Chase
When caught with NoED, and slugged: Unbreakable
There are counters to NoED, you just don't like them. You want the game to cater to your desired play style. It's not. You don't want to change your perks build but there are Survivors and killers who can play a match with 0 perks and still escape/4k respectively. Instances of killers who use NoED and then camp/slug are not going to change if NoED gets changed, they will still camp and slug because they want to.

The point was that if you didn't purchase the DLC with that killer, you could get that in your bloodweb, and burn it as an offering so you could try the killer, and that would entice you to then purchase the DLC after having tried out the killer.
-
From OP: " killers with noed"
NoED is fine. Do bones.
In a non-meme answer, using NoED is not toxic, just like using DS as a survivor is not toxic. There are numerous counters to NoED. Pick one and use it.
-
I played a game as killer a while back and was using NoEd. Had a guy running Adrenaline, Dead Hard, Decisive Strike, and Mettle of a Man. This was before the MoM nerf, and so also before the DS change.
He used every one of those perks. Injured him, downed him. Picked him up and DS. Hit him and MoM was in effect, Swiped and Dead Harded out of it, hit again and downed him. Fifth gen popped and he Adrenalined, and ran. Caught up and downed him, while he's injured mind you, but NoEd was exposed, and he DCed.
On Xbox, so being curious, I asked him why in the messenger, and he said that NoED is unfair and unbalances the game.I hit him 6 times, and then would only have been able to hook him. He could have still been saved and escaped, but because my NoED which didn't even affect him is unfair and unbalanced, I couldn't get the hook that I WORKED for.
On the flip side, as I play survivor as well, yes it SUCKS when you get hit by NoED first. It SUCKS when your "teammates" open the exit gates and bolt because they're afraid of NoED, instead of looking for the totem, or attempting to save you. That doesn't mean it's a bad perk.
