Playing with bots? real or fake...
I have heard the term bots or playing with bots before. Is that just something people say about terrible players or have devs actually programmed bots into the game. If the former how would devs program bot survivors and bot killers and how can I tell I am playing with them.

Their referencing terrible players. There are no killer bots in the game....yet.
Nickeleye is right about what most people mean when they say "bots", however there are some rudimentary bots being utilized on the mobile version (although the mobile version is handled by a different team).
Funny fact:
There was "bot" killers long time ago. They spammed M1 in place to farm points and survivor could get hit, heal and get chase points lol. Not sure if they still exist somewhere.. i think not because it's been years since the last one i seen.
I've seen a couple bot killers in the last year or so, but they are indeed rare. People report them and the account gets banned. Defeats the purpose of having a bot. All the BP you farmed is no good on a banned account.
Pretty soon the only killers will be bots because they will have forced most everyone off that side of the game.
Why did you have to remind me that there used to be events in DbD? 😪
Honestly, can we get the mobile team to look after the main version as well. Bots are very much needed at this current time...
