Most of those, like killers not getting hooks are either a skill issue or Behavior's incompetence. Face camping is different since its something the killer has to actively do.
Well getting caught to be camped at the start is a skill issue.

It can negate ranged hits as well.
Hatchet about to land NOPE, d.h, hatchet hit's no effect.

It was a typo. it's actually the "Pingu" is the next chapter.

Yo, embed looks better, like this:
When i seen that posting on Fb i thought it said Pingu. I was disappointed.

They don't bother me that much anymore, i feel sorry for newbie players who run into this. It defiantly needs some form of moderation for newer players, especially seeing MMR doesn't help newbie killers, when the average out mmr amongst the swf squad.
-
If there a no hooks near by drop, and camp.
Im sure survivors love this as well.

In all of those cases, the Killer still has full control of their character and can play the video game. In the case of facecamping, the Survivor being facecamped can't do anything. They have zero control of their character and have to just sit and wait until they're back to lobby.
Also, kinda weird to mention things that have nothing to do with the subject. Facecamping is a Killer behavior that is unwarranted--and it only punishes everyone involved. None of the Survivors get any bloodpoints to speak of due to lack of interaction with the Killer, the facecamped Survivor ends the game with <5k points, and the Killer gets next to no points as well. It is 99% of the time a spiteful interaction and serves no purpose except to waste everyones' time.
However, the things you mentioned are not spiteful in any way, shape or form. All of those things are part of normal gameplay and if anything are to be blamed on poor matchmaking and imbalance, rather than player behavior. Facecamping is purely a behavioral problem.
"In all of those cases, the Killer still has full control of their character and can play the video game. In the case of facecamping, the Survivor being facecamped can't do anything. They have zero control of their character and have to just sit and wait until they're back to lobby."
You can press spacebar or whatever your key/button is so they do have some control.
"Also, kinda weird to mention things that have nothing to do with the subject. Facecamping is a Killer behavior that is unwarranted--and it only punishes everyone involved. None of the Survivors get any bloodpoints to speak of due to lack of interaction with the Killer,"
So is swfing. It's a player behaviour, it punishes killers, and restricts their abilty to get points.
"It is 99% of the time a spiteful interaction and serves no purpose except to waste everyone's' time."
So is standing at the gates or hatch when you can leave.
"However, the things you mentioned are not spiteful in any way, shape or form. All of those things are part of normal gameplay"
Refer above. If you don't find toxic swf squads not spiteful, or detrimental to the game you need to change those rose coloured glasses.

What about the person on the hook? He is unable to play the game and had his game ruined. You think that's fair? Face camping shouldn't even be a thing.

That doesn't change the fact that it still sucks for the person getting facecamped... they're a player in the video game too, you know. Think about it from their perspective.
I've been the person facecamped by the Bubba, facecamped in the basement, and everything under the facecamping sun. Many times. It sucks and is extremely boring, and it's not even fun or viable for the Killer... you end up with such abysmal points that it is 99% of the time used purely for spite and to make someone's experience miserable. At least the devs already confirmed that they're working on a solution for facecamping--I hope they find one that works soon(™).
And the Killer who gets no Kills or Hooks? The Killer who think's he will get a down but nope your Snowman stopped it?
The newbie with 5 hours and 4 green perks into a full red rank swf?
The Killer trying to play with mutiple Coh's up?
The Killer who worked hard all game only for your key to let your team out? (pre nerf, a year after Mori's as well)

I have no idea, sometimes I feel like I'm playing with new players and then I'll get matched with Zubat or Ohtofu. I think MMR is just ######### when I play.
MMR is'nt everything, it attempts to match people with you at your level, if none are at your level then the net expands, after a certain time it throws you against whomever has been waiting longest.
That's how you can get 5k hour survs into 2 hour Billy mains.

"If he's basement Bubba I've said it before don't go down there and you won't have a problem with him just do the gens simple."- It isn't always that simple. A lot of LF players like to use Iron Grasp/Agitation, then camp when they get you in the basement. Camping with him is insanely strong. I hope we get changes to camping soon.
Ahhh great attitude.
One Killer using some meme build to cuck some idiots means camping needs to be "changed"
Stop trying to be a hero and save someone who can't be saved. Let the person in the basement die, do your gens and leave.
If you want camping to stop, stop feeding the camper.
-
Sound's like a good reason to play killer.
You can do everything right as a surv and still "lose"
Playing a killer it's all on you.
Or try and duo/swf.

Same as Slinger, Newbie potatoes who run in straight lines find him op.
Expect Anna to start throwing pine cones next.

Lack of killer players. Killer players are becoming harder to come by due to perceived anti killer bias from the devs and multiple second and third chance perks survivors use.
Perceived?
They flag Mori's and keys as issues, then nerf Mori's, fine, but take a year to nerf keys.
Add boon's to the game and make CoH practically impossible to deal with when there is multiple versions of this boon.
Release a fun Christmas event, that gives Survs a free health state.
Yeah it's defiantly all in the minds of Killer players.
The general concenus is there are more Survivor main's than killers and from a business point of view you need to make dollars marketing to them, but it's a fine line between business and balance, and it appears that the game in it's current form is rubbish for Killers.
There is like 4 killer's that are viable at high ranks, so combine that with perks, maps, swfs and this event i'd rather play something else, and it seems alot of Killer mains feel that way as well.
Edit: Maybe some Killer's have taken that Dev's advice and gone to play Civilization.
-
The only way to have fun is to swf apparently.
Nevermind kyf it has to be swf.
-
Remove random perks from the bloodweb and make them "X" base price for bp.
90% of the bloodweb is just junk, its random which makes it not fun or interesting. it seems like a monotonous grind for the chance at what you want.

So many of the dead by Daylight content creators like Otz and others aren't complaining at all about this. And are having fun too
Well alot of us normal players don't care that the %1 are having fun. Having balanced and fair matches are fun.

Snowmen are mostly a problem if you're playing Twins or Ghostface in particular. But I agree that you can't understate the frustration on the survivor side, either - for every smart play I've seen a teammate make with a snowman, I've had a random MIA in favor of snowman antics. Yesterday I had a match where a healthy Cheryl with Blood Pact spent three minutes dicking around in a snowman (and I know that because I was the injured obsession and she disappeared from Blood Pact's aura read) while one and eventually two people languished in basement and she was the only one who could have possibly gone for the save, because I had no means to heal myself while she was Frosty the Snowmanning across the map and the killer was proxy camping. Another time, I hit stage 2 because the closest person to me was spinning in circles in a snow suit. Those kinds of frustrating stories where the team needs everyone and someone is off playing with the event goodies for prolonged periods of time are pretty common, and they're absolutely benefitting the killer - but like you said, the killer typically can't see that it's happening. They don't chalk up the win to the event because they don't know why the team went down, just that it did.
However, survivors goofing off while other parts of the team try to work isn't an issue in SWFs... which is where most killer complaints about survivors come from. It's the usual disparity magnified - on the one side, snowmen wandering in to bodyblock a doorway mid-chase, on the other, only two survivors doing anything while the other two pantomime a snowman romance on the other side of the map.
Still. I think mostly killers are salty that there's nothing for them to do in this event; no items, no interactions (beyond hitting the snowmen, which occasionally cause a survivor to make a play they couldn't otherwise.) But I could be wrong about that.
Killer's are annoyed that Snowmen gives a free hit. Unless you have some Aoe ability you're forced to break the snowman first to land a hit.
The game is a bit crapola for Killers at the moment so to give them a free health state is just badword.
If i see survs in snowmen i ignore them, bar ecg.

Ever think there is a reason for it?
Ever ask yourself if you see "x" amount of posts regarding issues their might be a problem?
Seen how many people complain about CoH on both sides?

Anna.
Those curves and muscles. She just needs some hair.

Translation:
I was playing the killers favourite map, and he managed to hit me on one of the perma loops in the map.
This would not have happened if the killer wasn't playing on a 56k modem. Please fix.

All killers can hit the snowman in the face to severely reduce the distance the survivor makes. Add stbfl to that and they won't make any pallet they wouldn't have made anyway.
So i only need a perk to play how i would normally any other time?

Doctor can shock them
Deathslinger shoots right through it
Clown can throw a bottle at it
Trapper can trap the snowman forcing them out
All killers can hit the snowman in the face to severely reduce the distance the survivor makes. Add stbfl to that and they won't make any pallet they wouldn't have made anyway.
Huntress hatchets into m1 especially after hitting snowman in the face also ensures they barely make any distance
You need to be a good distance away cause you can get hit during the jump animation
They can be annoying but they are far from insurmountable
Ghostface is one of the only killers that gets really screwed by the snowman.
Twins get screwed in general
So 1/4 of the killer roster has some "counterplay"
The rest can just suck eggs?

Reminds me of this cringe stuff.

Instead of snuffing a boon you stomp the bones.
gives CoH a life spam and makes it placement more strategic.

I remove them from the game as fast as possible and the other survivors so they can move on.

Yes, hence why i said for grading purposes.
-
Queue Metallica?
-
I find it rather a odd system at least for grading purposes.
I can play a perfect game and stomp survivors, but because i didn't earn many points i dont rank up.
Or i can verse newbies and farm them for points which in turn helps me rank up. But playing good doesn't.

seriously? old undying? do you have any idea how ridiculous it was to have to do 3 totems just to get rid of 1 perk?
Do you have any idea of how ridiculous it is to have multiple Coh's up and no way to remove them permanently except for killing survs?
Do you have any idea how stupid it is to have to tunnel and camp survivors because you know they can just run off to multiple Coh's?
-
I've got 2 inside snowmen right now, refusing to do the last gen because i won't hit them out of their costumes.

Madness?

Don't think you're allowed to Mori.
Some of the challenges are worded badly. Some will same kill By your hand which mean Mori, any others means hooks.
Like the Steam achievements.
-
Alot of players are not playing Killer at the moment due to balance issues.
When players wait in queues after a time i matches you with whomever has been waiting the longest, regardless of mmr.
So you'll find silver survs into red killers simple because they have been waiting for 7 minutes, and vice versa.
Most Killer main players, think the role is a crap spot at the moment and wont touch it.
-
When i took 3 different hits inside various Snowmen so my team mates couldn't use them.
Good times.
-
Seeing that, Bhvr staff member say if killers are to hard then they should go play Civilization
Reminded me of Blizzard and that diablo mobile launch. "Dont you have phones"
-
Nothing ever stays exclusive, legacy skins get bought out every now and then as "sale"
There was going to be plenty of titles for ps4 that were exclusive, now you can get them on Steam.
Rdr2, Days gone.
If there is profit to be had, nothing is exclusive.
-
Tunnel and camp, don't bother for injured states, when you find someone who has CoH remove them from the game asap.

Then just leave them alone, or better yet, eat the stun so they can't use it later instead.
They're sacrificing an entire perk slot just to avoid being instantly tunnelled, downed and rehooked. That's one less Dead Hard, Borrowed Time, Circle of Healing, Unbreakable, Sprint Burst, etc you have to worry about.
Every second they spend waiting out the DS timer (in a locker or not) is a second they're spending not doing generators.
I quite happily eat dh and ds just to remove survs from the game. Wounded survs have little value now with op CoH
-
@Superyoshiegg said:
It isn't overpowered, it isn't a 'get out of jail free card', and it should not get de-activated after the gates are open.
The perk deactivates the moment the Survivor starts healing themselves, touches a generator, touches a totem, sabotages a hook & unhooks another Survivor. This means if they do anything to progress the game at all, they lose the perk, which by proxy means if you ever get hit by the perk, you were hard tunnelling.
DS after the exit gates are open is not an issue. That's on you for not forcing them to use it earlier in the trial.
I dislike it when you can hide in a locker with it, come out with either head on, or iron maiden and be exposed or be caught in a locker and still use it.
-
Everyone has a different idea of what being fun is.
Some enjoy being a Grinch. Some enjoy standing at gates tbaggging and clicking.
-
First started playing after seeing Slinger played on twitch, played a bit was ok, Switched to Anna as she is just better, more so after Slingers nerfs.
Finally got Anna to rank 1, so im happy.
I've played Trickster a bit, underwhelming.
Love playing Pig, but feel her ambush is useless so playing a bear trap game.
-
If kicking gens was meaningful and wasn't just 0.1 sec tap and it stops regression, Killers might tunnel less.
If Coh wasn't infinite, i might go for someone else.
Wounded survs and gen regression provides little pressure.
Having survs coming into to unhook and peel, means they're not doing gens.
it doesn't always work, but i fine more often than not, Tunneling brings survivors to you rather than making you chase.

I wouldn't want to be a newbie at the moment dealing with CoH.

It's 1 v 4 and solo vs swf.
It will never be balanced, there are to many metrics.
If swfs were removed, there might be a chance.
@Tr1nity said:
When the more skilled player wins - the game is more intense and more fun.
Im calling b.s on that.
I've just done my red 1 grind, some games i would absolutely stomp survs and get no pip, due to not getting enough points to pip.
However on my last game before red 1 i versed some newbies, so i set out to maximise my points so i double hooked, purposefully let chases go on longer, let them get back up so i could keep kicking gens.
I could have ended it in 10 minutes. But i dragged it out just to get more points, which correlates to ranking.
