  • Honestly, I'm not much a fan of Wes Craven's New Nightmare Freddy. I know, the one I suggested looks close to it. But the whole feel for the New Nightmare version just feels a bit silly.

    It was a joke.

I was acting like the photo of the Wendigo was actually of me. You can keep it. I’ve called my lawyers off... for now. 😈

No I mean I sent the discussion link to someone else's discussion so I thought you were that person not wanting my discussion in their discussion.

    If that makes sense.

No joke, in my experience Blendettes are the most toxic players for some reason.

Or they hide all game, letting their teammates die, never to be found, not even in the end game chat.

There's those two types of Blendies.

The most toxic are usually Nea's, Fengs, Claudette (blendettes like you said), Laurie, Meg (On occasion), and sometimes surprisingly Bills.

Toxic players and Immersed players are the worst to go up against. Both aren't anywhere near fun to go up against.

yeah, they could have made the mask a little more exciting... its really just the standart mask in black right now.

didnt the original had a flickering effect or sthg similar on it? that'd have been cool...

They could of added a little glitch effect to it, I know they could of. Where it jolts around the mask or goes to static in some way. But nope, instead we got the original legion mask but now... IN BLACK.

  • If anyone else takes it seriously and reads comments, then it'll be left for them. Surprisingly there are people who read comments, I mean you clearly did.

  • In what context?

Is it garbage because it gives killer's a way to use Ruin which like Undying can be taken away sometimes at the beginning of a match?

Is it garbage because it can be taken away at the beginning of a match so the only value you have is that your other hex you were protecting gets to live just a few seconds longer?

Is it garbage because you have to stop genrushing to get your SWF together to find the totems and destroy all of them which wastes a little of your time and gets in the way of your daily "BM the killer" shenanigans?

Is it garbage because killer's finally have a somewhat more reliable meta that has a change to get out of the shadow of the stupidly broken and unchanged survivor meta?

Come on, which type do you mean?

  • 3 gens left, make sure the survivors are on death hook for the next time they're caught.

2 1/2 gens left, camp and tunnel to apply pressure if nobody is dead.

If I feel bad for someone, I give them hatch.

If you bring a key, I'll tunnel you and make sure you don't leave, same goes for anyone to picks it up. Usually bring a mori for the person with a key or franklin's to make sure they earn the escape like a man, through the gates.

Key's are only acceptable in the circumstance that a killer has Blood Warden and it's reached the point in the endgame timer that it would confirm a 4k by the entity itself. If you use a key to escape like a little #########, you're going to die, no debate.

If you can't respect me, and you decide to T-Bag and believe you're tough #########, I won't play nice or respect you.

If I find a key in a chest without plunders (Dull or Skeleton) I disconnect then say I won because that's how stupidly broken and unfair keys are.

Mori's are acceptable at death hook, if nobody is dead at 2 gens, if you were hooked recently or have been hooked, then I mori you on the spot death hook or not.

If they did that, it would be a pretty big middle finger, imo. I was looking forward to actually getting something on Adam.

Well, if my guess is correct you best keep waiting because the devs will treat us the same way a strip-tease will treat you, it gives you a glimpse of hope then steals it away from you.

  • @SunderMun said:

Is it actually confirmed that the Clown and Adam won't get lore this tome? In chapters 3 and 4, they have challenges, so I always assumed they had to have some.

They won't get lore, if they were going to get lore it would of been released on release day. But remember the tome challenges were always subject to change. We haven't see 3 and 4 yet. My best guess is both Adam and Clown's challenges were removed and switched with Hillbilly and Nea challenges.

  • @Chilli_man2400 said:

I find it insulting that they released the never stop slashing legion skin incomplete but didn’t release the Claudette skin cause it’s not ready yet that’s so stupid they couldn’t just delay the legion skin I find it funny how they delay a simple skin yet they release a skin that’s incomplete and doesn’t have the main part of it and Amacky wasn’t credited.

True, I'm glad the Legion skin is out now, I am. But they still should complete bits and pieces of it. Like how I mentioned in my one comment on this exact discussion. And again, giving Amacky Credit.

  • @gatsby said:

Honestly, I'm fine with that. It's the first Rift that I've had zero desire to buy. Its mostly because I don't play any of the characters that got new skins aside from Legion... but the Legion skin is free.

However the Legion skin, yes is cool, but personally as a guy who loves attention to detail because it visually shows the people care - there are (as stated in one big comment in this discussion) a number of problems that makes the skin feel incomplete.

  • @chieften333 said:

I honestly could not have put it better myself, thanks for putting that into words.

  • @Mister_xD said:

i feel like thsi tome easily has the most boring Tier 70 charm out of all of them.

like, no animation, no glowing effects, no compatability with a specific character and it just looks really odd.

imho they should consider updating it a little to have these glowing veins (or SOMETHING that makes it interesting) the Hags medusa skin has, that could be cool.

Funny you should mention animation on the Hag, a character who doesn't have any animated textures on her model, but the Medusa skin has animated textures. Sounds like they could of done a slight thing to the Never Stop Slashing Legion mask, am I right?

  • @Zagrid said:

    Yes.

    Bad cosmetics

    Poor event implementation

Lore has always been meh for most players. I want lore to expand the universe, see what happened to vigo, how does the entity work. Not to know what hill billy did in his free time.

Ok to be fair, and slightly Hillbilly Bias, I don't have a problem with Hillbilly, Nea or Talbot's stories in this tome. They're decent and ok, just like the old ones. But the whole tome and rewards itself, other than Hillbilly and Nea's outfit just doesn't feel like the more recent outfits. I adore Hillbilly's "Sunday Slaughter", Nea's "System Smasher" to me is as good as her "Howdy Cat" skin through to her "Graff-Crafter" skin, David's "Ruffian" skin compared to the other three survivor's skins is way better than theirs, "Never Stop Slashing" is a great skin, except there are a few pet peeves I have with it, that I spoke about in my recent comment, Clown and Adam's skins are "Meh, ok?", and the rest are just blatantly showing the community the dev's have no care for the community who has been supporting their games using our precious time and money that gives them a house, a job, and a life.

  • I'd also like to mention, the problems with the Never Stop Slashing Legion skin, other than the fact Amacky wasn't given credit like how he should of been was these few things I've circled in red. I'll be uploading Amacky's original image of the design to show exactly what I'm talking about along side them.

    381210_screenshots_20201105134624_1.jpg

The left shoe is missing the Pink bars on the left side. The left hand is missing the little zipper-line going across his knuckles.

    381210_screenshots_20201105134614_1.jpg

Zipper-Line thing appears on his right hand but not left hand. His right leg clearly has 3D chains added, however his right arm has 2D chains which feels blatantly half-assed. His fingers on both hands are tanned and clearly not Frank's fingers, considering in every other skin I've seen on Frank his fingers are Pale White, which makes me believe the art team probably thought this skin (like many others) was for Joey and they didn't want to go back to fix their error.

    381210_screenshots_20201105134601_1.jpg

I saw in a texture-less 3D image from Front Right View, to Front View, to Back Left View. But in the Back Left View I saw clear as day a little sawblade in the specific spot where I circled, not to mention the holes for the sawblade that was going to be there are still there on the backpack which proves it was supposed to be there. For what reason it was removed, I don't know.

    amacky-art-01-classic-outfit-frank-legion-jpeg.jpg

Art and Concept fully done by "Amacky", he's a talented artist and a pretty cool dude.

If you can look at the parts I circled on the in-game version of this skin and compare it to the concept art you'll see clear as day what I'm talking about. Granted there are quite a few other things they missed, however I'll give them the benefit of the doubt and say those specific parts that aren't added were either because of time or budget (which budget feels like the least likely problem for this company).

However, I'm not talking about what wasn't added on the in-game skin. I'm talking about what is on the in-game skin and the parts of it that aren't fixed.

  • All I hope is that these devs fix the stacking loop, BS.

    so an unbalanced match

“Encourage players to try and play the game for fun and not for competition since this game is too off balanced to ever be an Esport.”

your definition of fun is not the same as everyone, I personally would like to game to be more competitive and skillful

Well you're clearly not the right audience I'm looking for.

  • I don't want to tunnel, but sometimes I have too in some case. Because even though I've been hurting most of the players and doing what I can to keep these gens from flying, the gens still fly.

I only try to tunnel if the player is acting cocky and thinking they're tough shite, or mostly when I use it is at 2 and a half gens done and lower. (So around 3 when the third is nearly done)

If nobody is dead and there are around 2 gens left, I need to apply better pressure and nothing applies it better than slugging and killing some survivors off.

I know it's a bit of a ######### move, but when you leave me with only one choice what else am I supposed to do? Let you win, let you guys have this and just sit there?

I'm trying to recall, wasn't this a game about killers trying to kill survivors and survivors trying to survive?

  • @FFabeq said:

  • @Kind_Lemon said:

Missed opportunity with the discussion title, not quoting "just a little bit" (Monto).

    And also, no.

You do realize that this encourages tunneling a single survivor to make sure that everyone else's gen progress is slowed? And also, it's already painful enough with the kinds of builds out there to slow down gens unnecessarily to have to repair the same gen over and over again. It's the whole downward spiral of doom, and we should seek to limit the extremes not create them.

Purposefully made it a missed opportunity.

    @BugsGalore said:

Slowing gens is not the answer, adjusting gen spacing is. I've said this a million times and I'll take it to my grave: I only get gen rushed if I'm either making a bunch of mistakes or I'm on a map with spaced out gens. If they make gens slower it allows the killer to make more mistakes and still not be punished for it. If we adjust map sizes and gen layouts, It would allow killers to get to a gen to stop it after chases.

I guess that could make a bit more sense in a way. However just my problem is most times when I play survivor I can't be able to do gens or doors because I've been getting chased by a really stubborn killer.

Also "it allows the killer to make more mistakes and still not be punished for it."

Sounds a lot like Dead Hard, doesn't it?

  • @twistedmonkey said:

This would encourage taking out the hooked survivor as quick as possible as it gives the killer more time to get the others.

It also makes camping more viable.

Peanits is a red rank killer, pretty sure he plays Huntress

Not_Queen I am pretty sure plays both survivor and killer, I don't remember her rank

Mathieu I have no clue, he hasn't live streamed since forever

    McLean I don't watch

Doesn't really answer my question in full.

  • Am I the only one who thinks the Dwightcrow is a very lack-luster charm?

  • @Hoodied said:

Peanits and Not_Queen play dbd live, same with Mathieu, but rarely

Another one to mention is McLean

Do they play killer, and better question - do they play against the "REAL" survivors and not Rank 20 survivors?

  • Why not implement John Carpenter's "The Thing" into DBD, that's the best idea I could give.

  • New Survivor perk idea: "FAIR AND BALANCED"

Description: "You love taking the easy way out, and you know that the creators are super bias for you"

Once you enter the trail, if you interact with a generator for 2/1.5/1 second you'll be given a prompt that says " E to Escape Trial "

Once pressed, you'll instantly escape the trial by the magic of balanced and "non-bias" gameplay.

    Quote: "GG EZ, BABY KILLER"

Your perk idea isn't too bad, it seems ok. But that perk "idea" I made above this text is a joke.

  • For people who say "OBJECT OF OPSESSION IS NOT OVER POWERED, YOU'RE JUST BAD!! LOL!!!"

    They're either:

    A. Naïve

    B. Not thinking about SWF or SWF w/ Communicational advantages

or C. They're the SWF's with coms that are trying to have their perk kept as the annoying and stupidly broken way it is.

That's just what I have to say.

  • I have nothing against the LGBTQ community, I'm fine with them however I don't really care too much about them, my opinion is: "If you love someone and they're the same sex as you, fine it's the personality that matters." I'm saying that so that you don't possibly get all sensitive and butt hurt because the topic can come off as touchy to some people.

This is a HORROR game, I don't believe that the characters sexuality should be a main focus, in a H O R R O R - G A M E. Because why would anyone want to care what their opinions are on a subject that really don't matter to the basic game itself. Why is this a discussion at all, for a game that doesn't need to discuss this specific community. I don't remember in recent horror games and films where the characters just stopped everything they're doing to state what their sexuality is and who they "identify" as.

I'm annoyed at seeing stuff like this because of how unimportant it is in certain genres and media, and how badly people are trying to shove this down our throats. Again, I'm ok with anyone who loves someone part of their same sex, it's not my problem if they like someone of their own same sex. But seriously, this stuff needs to stop. Keep the pride month, and the support for the LGBTQ people where it belongs: in the protests and media that DIRECTLY have something revolving around the subject. If it doesn't revolve around the subject, then it's just a waste of time.

Just take this comment with a grain of salt. But don't get too sensitive about it - is all I'm saying.

Right? Pretty sure the goal is to avoid Killer, not throw ourselves near them for a quick and boring match

I just hate how overly confident most survivors are, I mean sure it's sometimes good for the killer but it's all around annoying to both sides (mostly to killer) because sometimes those people who make the stupid confident action can get away with doing it.

  • I really hate that observer challenge because it encourages survivors to stay on the gens around the killer - which shouldn't be a thing in the first place.

I think maybe 0,5 second would be better? I just feel his huge cooldown is super unnecessary, it's one of the biggest cooldowns in DBD.

In fact, what would like to Legion is a complete rework. His power is no fun going against as survivor due to basically no counterplay to a Legion in Frenzy and mending simulator. Making a complete new power that actually helps him getting downs would be better imo, but I doubt they have anything planned for him right now, especially when basically every week there's a new Legion skin.

jdcabral, yeah 0.5 seconds taken off after successful hit sounds a bit more fair. Maybe 0.7 even would work.

Also you can compare "mending sim" to "gen sim", but probably a bit of a rework would help. Something that would allow them to keep the title of "Ultra-Violent" as said in the escalation tome.

    @StibbityStabbity said:

Legions Power penalty upon using M1 attacks is too high. In fact, the penalty probably doesn't need to exist, or at least be significantly reduced.

Legions fatigue makes their power frustrating to use. For all the Injuries they cause, their power is detrimental to securing a Dying state.

Personally, I would give Legions Power tokens. For every Survivor they stab that are revealed by Killer Instinct , they gain a token. This token reduces the Fatigue from MANUALLY turning their power off by 1 second. This would REWARD big stab chains, depreciate as Survivors are Sacrificed, and make Legion much more capable of using their power to secure Dying states.

The only other thing I would suggest SEPARATELY from the previous (read: don't combine the two) would be SOME method to allow Feral Frenzy to secure a Dying state. Then the Fatigue would feel like a punishment for failing to insert-knife-into-human-meat. Perhaps if all other Survivors have Deep Wounds, the final STABBITY would cause Dying on an Injured Survivor. I dunno, spit-balling here.

Legion needs SOMETHING, though. Anything to boost their lethality, whether it be to add it to their Power or to manage how their Power can very often be detrimental.

Stibbity, I agree with the missed frenzy attack to losing your power completely is now very obsolete and unnecessary now. I feel like they should revert it back to old Legion when you can swing your weapon like a madman while in Feral Frenzy because it'd also fit their "Athletic/Agile" side of them.

The token thing sounds like what the guy above your comment said too, in a way. But yeah, Legions fatigue needs a buff along with the fact that the devs should know swinging without a cool-down in a hardly lethal power isn't deserving of a nerf.

Please share this with people you know who could agree with this. I really want this to catch the devs eyes so they can start considering this so it probably can be part of the future updates.

  • @[Deleted User] said:

He should have speed addons during Frenzy and the buff I'd give to his basekit is reduce the cooldown after exiting Frenzy by 1 second for every survivor stabbed.

    @Yords said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/200130/slight-legion-buff

I think that the legion just needs a slight rework with changes to his base power and especially addons.

Well share this, so others who agree can give their thoughts and maybe this can be seen by a Dev - hopefully.

I think the 1 second decrease frenzy ending would be a bit too powerful but I could see that possibly working better.

Of course he also needs a slight rework in some capacity.

  • @RocketPenguin said:

Id do that, rework useless addons(like the purple ones) and finally see scratch marks while in frenzy.

Thats it hes pretty decent as is so he doesnt need much.

    @Crowman said:

I think right now the biggest thing Legion really needs is better add-ons. I run Legion addonless most of the time, because his add-ons are either too small in value or just not useful.

Addons really should get a rework indeed.

Scratch Marks in Frenzy, might be ok in a way - sort of be like Spirit's power. But I'd argue that I'd be better if the blood pools could be visible again.

Certain addons have some value, at least some good value. But yeah he really needs a rework because I love the character.

Please share this with people you know and get this seen.

  • He's fine, you just need to try and act smarter than him.

  • Solution, just pressure gens lol.

    *Pressures gen*

    you're toxic.

Whenever you play killer, there's always a lose lose situation.

  • Wraith, Huntress, Pig, and Demogorgon are the only untouched killers in this discussion. And you know what's hilarious about that to me, it sounds like many survivor mains are really wanting to get rid of the stronger killers so all that is left are some of the weaker killers.

Also, I just want to point this out right now, for people who say stuff like "[Killer Name] is unhealthy for the game." "This killer is too OP!" "This killer makes me DC, remove them!" There is the argument that some of the points being made or SLIGHTLY correct in some cases. However, the one thing that makes me laugh is that survivors can have ENDLESS Second Chances, while the killer has no second chance perks, most of the killer perks can be taken away altogether before they can even be used and other ones have a certain time they can be used before they're rendered useless.

So people who give the argument that so-and-so killer is unfair or unfun or anything like that, the survivor has NO EXCUSES to give other than: "I played poorly" or what isn't heard from a survivor who's at a high rank "I'm just trash". Survivors have EVERYTHING at their disposal, before anyone states that I'm some entitle killer main, I played survivor for a long while during the time when I was in red ranks as the killer and I went up against survivors that made me want to kill myself. I used certain second chance perks at the time and saw that it was stupid for how many "second chance's" survivors get. Sure, a killer can still 4k and stomp a group of survivors, there's also a chance 1 or 4 of the survivors were running the second chance meta and the killer still won. However we need to think about it, is it really the killer's who are unfun and boring to play against, or is it the survivor meta that's incredibly boring and irritating to play against?

  • @Onyx_Blue said:

    Ruin + Undying + Tinkerer

Slap this on a killer, particularly a high mobility one, and you got yourself the most boosted player you will ever see.

These players do not know what pressure is to save their life. You can feed their build and try to cleanse totems to get rid of their perks, or you can just get a gen high progressed and lead them away, go back to it when they leave you (because they will) and bam, the player is exposed as the bot they are. The fact this is a build to vs almost every game is ridiculous. The calibre of player skill level in dbd is utter garbage XD this builds proves it to be that way.

Sure, and people who use Unbreakable + DS with other boosted perks like Adrenaline, Dead Hard, Sprint Burst, Resilience + Spinechill (Res + Spine is debatably boosted, but not that much in some case.), and the fact that survivors can keep one key but have hundreds of addons so keep said key incase they die or find the hatch isn't the most braindead way to play.

Hey, here's an idea. If you want to mock the killer side, give a small counter argument or else your argument towards Ruin + Undying + Tinker won't sound like the trash spewed by a salty survivor main who thinks because they hit a killer with a pallet once, it makes them GOD.

  • Killer Perks:

Claustrophobia: Any survivor that enters a locker will be trapped in the locker for 5/10/15 seconds if the killer comes around 10 meters of said locker, the killer cannot open the locker until the time is up. Slow vaults into lockers and slow exits will also send the killer a sound notification.

Paranoia: If a killer lets a survivor go after a chase, for 40/50/60 seconds and said survivor assists other survivors in any coop action, they will be unable to complete 1/2/3 skill checks and any progress made on either gens or healing will have regressed by 10% and give off a sound notification.

Ghoulish Delights: If a generator is left unfinished for 40/30/20 seconds by survivors and is not regressing from any other perks, the generator will have shadowy ghoulish figures fiddling with the generator regressing it by 10% and for each shadowy figure (4 at max), the regression will multiply. Gens with this effect will be highlighted by the killer in a white aura for 10 seconds and will be highlighted to survivors in a red aura for 8 seconds; the regression will stop until a survivor interacts with a generator. If an exit gate is left unfinished for 15/10/5 seconds as well, a shadowy figure will start to regress it's progress by 20% until a survivor interacts with the exit gate lever again.

Solo is ######### and play without friends is unfun

Or what do you think that people play survival because they think that its more fun? no they play because of friends

You don't need friends to play the game, and who said this game is always supposed to be fun anyways?

With the buckets of sweat the Survivor side of the community carries makes this game completely and utterly unfun. I know that might sound Bias in a way, but let's be honest with ourselves, the only reason tunneling and camping is considered more of a strategy now these days is because Survivors feel like they have to sweat bullets with some of the most annoying second chance perks out there, and they believe because they get a second chance that they should be given the right to T-Bag, and click their flashlight as if they accomplished something great is the most stupidest thing that ever grazed this when it was made.
