Buff Idea: what if the growing debuff also applied to the obsession, so you could slowly mitigate the initial buff as you progress? Or maybe have tokens remain after obsession dies, tho that might be too oppressive
-
I mean, call em souped up teenagers all ya want, but that soup lets em pick up the Girth That Is Jane Romero with one hand and sling her over their shoulder.
As a grown, reasonably fit man, I doubt I could pick up my preteen brother from the ground and carry him on my shoulder (while he is actively resisting) with one hand, even if i shotgunned a can of Campbells beforehand.
The entity is a helluva drug.
-
Ok which of the survivors played the biggie smalls game?
-
For a long while, it was a trinity of Monster Hunter, For Honor, and Hunt: Showdown.
Then they released Warmonger.... And suddenly there was a void to be filled!
-
I... Actually kinda like it, honestly. I'd buy it for a couple aurics.
-
Anyone seen Kate lately? I found an old guitar at that creepy carnival, but I got dumb fingers...
-
Eh, as long as mmr at least kiiinda does its job, i feel it'll be an improvement over the current system. Life has been a chromatic hellscape since i hit green ranks lol
-
Hey, on the topic of old character lore, am I tripping or did Doctor's bio used to be waaaaay longer?
-
I gotta go with spirit personally. Not gonna say she's broken or low-effort, but it feels like i just make the wrong calls every time i get in a chase with her.
Honorable mention goes to Bubba, if only because my randos don't understand that group hugs around Bubba are a no-no.
-
Never really tried up & down, as console sensitivity is meh, but I try to side-to-side before picking up a survivor I'm trying to give the hatch to.
Sadly, I think they either misinterpret me or just don't catch it, as most keep struggling anyway, which prolongs the game even longer when they escape. At that point i twirl and dance for them until they inevitably find the hatch.
-
Lmao I've encountered exactly one, and it was my own damn fault he killed me. Dude is absent the entire match, we bang out gens and see nothing of him, no tr, etc
So, as we're opening the gates, i decide to run down to the basement and see if i can score a nifty item. As i round the corner to the chest, he's standing there.
Bubba.
I froze, and we just kinda stared at each other for what felt like ages before I started sprinting and he started revving, long story short he chainsawed me and proceeded to hook me and dance the dance of his people as the entity whisked me away.
Tl;dr they're like four leaf clovers :)
-
Personally, I'm gonna be running...
Save the Best for Last, to help with Charlotte chases
Pop Goes the Weasel, for some gen regression
Deerstalker, to help scoop up survivors Victor has downed & relocate if I end up slugging
Iron Maiden, to help with lockers. It won't do much at launch, but if Victor can hold a survivor in a locker long enough for Charlotte to be close when they get out, I might be able to capitalize on the 15 secs of Exposed.
Now if the locker trapping turns out to be useless, I'll probably sub in Corrupt Intervention instead of Iron Maiden. Similarly, if Deerstalker ends up being a dud I'll probably trade it for Oppression or something, maybe Brutal Strength.
-
I think I'm gonna try Iron Maiden, Deerstalker, STBFL, and probably Pop or Corrupt. IM is really gonna depend on how long victor can hold lockers, tho, if that ends up being a crapshoot I might swap it for whispers or something

That would be worse. The movement speed wouldn't be fun to play against, and the secondary effect would be good, but not enough for a perk slot. Simple fix, 1.25% increase in movement speed for every survivor injured. Eventually you would have 4 stacks, and go 5 percent faster. It would be a good perk to use on killers like legion, plague or killers that like to keep survivors injured, like most M1 killers and Oni. Simple, but effective. Need more perks like this.
Yeahhhh there's a reason I'm not a dev lol. I like your idea tho, it's like thana but for quick feets.
-
I mean i agree it's not a great pick, but ya can't pick your friend's nose. My buddy loves bringing a flashlight and proceeds to try and blind the killer in every scenario *except* animation locks. Voice your opinion, shrug, and hold W.
-
Umm... Maybe gain 2% increased movement speed for each dead survivor, and survivors who 'escape' a chase with you have their aura revealed for A/B/C seconds, or for B seconds with X/Y/Z cooldown?
-
Just tell your bud to go incognito, or at least drop the ttv part of his name. I'm sure your buddy is a nice enough guy but a majority of streamers have created an oft-confirmed expectation of toxicity and generally being a C U Next Tuesday about everything.
-
Yes overall, mostly you just gotta tweak your sensitivity and learn to steer with both sticks. Granted, im not really a red rank guy, so i can't speak for high-level oni

Is it against the forum rules to refer to him as a baby, yes or no? Will posts be deleted or users be banned for referring to him as a baby? Because he very clearly looks like a baby, and a lot of people are going to call him baby, and from the forum rules as they are currently written I don't see why it would not be allowed to call him a baby.
I believe she's just clarifying, not brandishing the banhammer. Some folks are apparently uncomfy with babypunting, so it makes sense to try and reinforce he's not a child, just smol.

It is lol, knew i recognized it

Isn't that just a wendigo from until dawn?
-
Eh, if I've just been thoroughly dunked upon, I'm not terribly keen on getting tbagged at the gate. Y'all got your 4e fair & square, let's just move on, ya know?
Now if there's like 1-2 survivors, sure, I'll chase em out, maybe get a last hit in if I'm lucky, depending on how far I am when it opens.
Hell, i got a cheeky last-minute execution with PH when he first came out, even tho the downed survivor shoulda been out of reach. Of course, the price of said execution was me being shunted out of the maps boundaries, but such is life.
-
Scanning around while working on a gen with bad angles, only to suddenly notice Michael, standing there... menacingly.
Never fails to elicit a four-letter word or two lol

If you kill the original 4 survivours (Dwight, Meg, Jake, Claudette) like 20 times a piece, you unlock their face to wear. Its his only cosmetics outside of his default and prestige. 😊
Bruh ngl that is such a neat lil mechanic, I might have to give him a shot once he gets his boost
-
@Buttercake said:
I posted this elsewhere. But I think with the new change, they should add:
I think every 20(or so times) the entity takes an item, the Killer should gain it for a trinket. Like how Leatherface unlocks faces to wear.
So if 20 keys got wasted there is now a new charm! Killer's can showoff their deviousness to all survivours with their pretty key charm.
...I'm sorry, Leatherface does *what*?
-
Honestly? I just don't really find survivor all that fun. Sure, when I'm doing swf with my buds we banter and have a good time, but we could play FATAL and still have a yuk or two. I usually just play a 'heroic' david build for funs and giggles anyway
-
Iirc, ol jeff didn't start murdering full time till after he got the jiggle jams (not counting the one guy he killed before running away)
But i think it could be a neat skin idea, definitely unsettling to see while he chases ya
Maybe give him some basic stained workpants&boots, some crude beginner greasepaint, maybe some sort of utility knife/boxcutter for his weapon

That's terrifying...I love it
clap...clap...clap..clapclapClapCLAPCLAP
-
Bug Fix: The Executioner's terror radius will now be the sound of his thicc cheeks clapping, rather than a heartbeat.
-
Least fave is probably spirit, only counterplay off the top of my noodle is staying healthy and not running everywhere. Cool design, and idk if id call her broken, but god i hate playing survivor against her.
Fave, I'd have to say most of the stealth killers, when played well. Nothin like a pig rounding the corner in total silence while you're working a gen lol
-
Definitely Legion
-
I think it was one of my first few games as survivor, and my first match against pig. We're 3 manning a genny, and I'm scanning around trying to keep an eye out, and suddenly i notice a shape standing up out of a bush, and it spooked the ######### out of me lmao.
Later in the same match, pig had me dead to rights but chose to crouch in front of me, so I poked her snoot and, sure enough, she turned around. Still died cuz i didn't realize active rbt would splode my head if i left, but it was a fun match

Lmao, you got me friend. Now please help me get this hook outta my mouth, eh?
-
I've been running thana, ruin, surveillance, and whispers
Im considering swapping thana for something, though, because i don't think caged friends count for it, but i have been enjoying the extra gen safety
-
Honestly if the yellow highlight was used by more survivor perks i think it could be a neat lil side benefit for trails rather than an awkward drawback. Still think the cooldown is a lil steep for 16 secs of sneakybeaky imo
-
Im still yellow rank, but...
As a survivor, I need to work on my juking/looping. I play david, so I've got dead hard, but im a smol potato when it comes to using it. Tbh it seems like i wait too long and it goes unused.
As a killer, i think i need to learn when to ditch a chase. Ive had a few games where some quick footed jackwagon has bamboozled me for an embarrassing amount of time, but i kept chasing because i alllllmoooooost got em!

people have been asking for an operation: health forever, quantity>quality has been a trend for DBD for awhile
That's what I've read, yeah. Still, i hope they can buckle down eventually; even with all the hiccups I've been enjoying it so far.
-
I started playing back in december right after oni dropped, so I'm still but a wee bebe (surv & killer both 16) and i can see where there's a lot of rough edges, but tbh i dont think the game is anywhere approaching terminal. Worse games have survived far longer, and i think if the bigwigs would shift gears & focus on polishing & tightening what they've got vs pumping new content for a while, it'd leave the game in a much healthier spot to receive the aforementioned new content
-
Hey, im relatively new myself if ya wanna group up & whatnot. I mostly play killer, and while the learning process hurts, you'll quickly start kicking babies if you pay attention to what's working for ya & whats not.
Psn is possumsauce69
-
Well, I hope everyone has a great year, even the facecampers & teabaggers, i hope they keep polishing the core game, and I still think a Silent Hill chapter would be neat, if unlikely lol.
Happy 2020 everyone!
-
Personally, i think a Silent Hill chapter could be pretty creepy. Maybe have pyramid head be the killer?
-
Lol thanks friendos, guess I'll just go ahead and get em outta the way! Happy hunting and/or surviving!
