Yes at all an example of that when I was a kid every year 30 percent of the rain forest has been destroyed. Apparently it wasn't
Sorry to burst your bubble, but facts are EVERYTHING.
There is no statistical proof the SWF needs a nerf. Therefore, no nerf is needed.
And no, I don't main survivor before anyone starts pointing fingers (because I know this place too well to think otherwise.)

Not sorry for running Spirit with DH, STBFL, Infectious Fright and BBQ.
Maybe... Cleanse next time?

We're at the point now where we're complaining about head on?
Eat the stun. It's not the end of the world, especially if you're playing a high mobility killer. Treat it like decisive. Eat the stun and move on.

Bold of you to assume this isn't exactly what killer players are also doing.
It's not just survivors, it's not just killers; both sides have hypocrites.
Exploits are exploits and exploits must be fixed, but don't make it an "us vs them" argument. We don't need more of them. Please.
I doubt common sense is appreciated here.

We have no idea.
We're intentionally kept in the dark to prevent abuse.

I am a Spirit player who tends to run off-meta builds, typically involving Devour Hope.
Force out phase early, and be unpredictable. The more I'm in phase, the more juke opportunity you have. I personally play an ultra-aggressive Spirit, so if you face one like me, make a mental map of all the tiles. Stay near safe ones, stick to the shadows and most of all burn my time. Make sure my phase is always on CD.
TL;DR: Force me to phase as much as possible, remember the safe tiles, abuse windows, and hide as much as possible.

I would've read this all the way through if it wasn't the Great Wall of Text.

Running from gens when a killer approached was apparently needing a nerf for some, which was the weirdest complaint I've ever read. In other news, a few people object to cow pics; Sluzzy posts are legitimately entertaining and there was the most adorable picture of a mole on a post somewhere!
Oh that guy? One of the top 10 survivors in DbD?

Because it was actually broken. The devs have seen their mistake and they are ‚fixing‘ it.
Nothing's broken. You (not you specifically) aren't any worse off if you don't get an LGBT character.

No. One sole inclusion won’t change anything. Never said that. But inclusion in media generally does help! That’s why I have stated that I am not only referring to DbD.
But there is still literally no reason to exclude LGBT from DbD lore.
There is no reason not to, but to put it simply,
Why fix something that isn't broken?

@Lefrongo said:
I believe when it comes to gaming or any entertainment of the sort as portrayed by media, if there's always gonna be LGBT characters involved; then it shouldn't be no big deal. Why should people get riled up if they're included or not? The only thing that can be bothersome is if people don't personally connect with what appeals to characters just because they're not exactly like them; that's an entire different bias and can be a loser standard by that manner. Of course companies would cash in with such cliche ideas because they're a business, videogames are a business people and even so, representation in movies and TV shows is something that appeals to a larger audience as well. Do they actually care about who they're appealing to? Maybe, but even if that's the case these people are just trying to make money off their product which could very well be their reasoning for allowing development of said character(s) to be involved. There are various of factors to keep in mind here, sure the character(s) that are to be in the game soon could be either gay, lesbian or transgender whichever they want to identify as. If anything being relevant could just be relatable towards modern day events to add to the realistic portion of the game.
Other questions such as:
"Will this save the playerbase from reducing?"
"Is this actually gonna be beneficial for gameplay mechanics?"
"How efficient are these survivors/killers perks?"
"Let's see their spicy lore, is it already available in this new tome?"
Are more leaning towards technical issues the game has to offer, the least we can tackle this subject down is with drama. I've been in many communities so far and what ends up happening are that the main issues tends to be a drama of a shitshow which kills down a community, players can still enjoy basic game functions and still have fun; just don't think people will actually communicate because of dramatic reasons. This is probably one of the few reasons why developers and community managers tend to not listen to some criticism in feedback and questions regarding for a future Q&A stream, it's probably most likely correlated with negativity and drama. This just happens to be one of the few games people can love to hate at the same time. I'm only giving my two cents on this thread, so don't go and try to cancel me because of my thoughts, otherwise I'll enjoy my snacks as I read.
Trust me, I'm very much enjoying my coffee by this bonfire I accidentally created

Honey I can promise you that's not true. Lie to me and others all you want, but you can't deny that simply human fact of wanting relatability.
And we all want the game to just work but that's exponentially harder than writing up another character.
And it's a very bigoted/close minded thing to not care about other groups of people when your own needs are satisfied.
Who are you to say whether or not my needs are satisfied?
And relatability isn't some "simply human fact." I LITERALLY do not care if the characters are all lesbian leprechauns.

It's only important that I have representation of my perceived 'normal', everyone else is just SOL.
-bigots everywhere, probably
I couldn't care less if there were no straight white males, *I just want the game to work.*
And don't throw around the word "bigot". It doesn't help.

It may not matter to you but there are people for which it is important.
the design team may actually like to create such a character, you don’t know that. Actually we already got confirmation that there is at least one character in the cast that is LGBT+, it was just never stated which one.
Whether or not this is important isn't a subjective feeling, it is an objective fact.
This is a video game. You did not buy a video game just to play as an LGBT character. It is objectively not important. We don't need it for game balance, or optimization, or anything.
-
To make a follow-up to the hundreds of comments, rather than replying individualy:
My point is that "representation" really isn't important. What matters in a game is whether or not the gameplay is good. It wouldn't matter if the Survivors were blank character models, as long as they work.
I wouldn't care if every survivor was black, or white, or asian, or gay, or any trait someone can have. As long as they play well.
And to the people saying "there's no reason not to" it's definitely an extra headache on the lore/design team to mach a gay character, not have it be their token, make correct cosmetics, AND deal with people who REALLY didn't want it.
You're no worse off if you don't get it.

It doesn't matter, it's essentially begging to be pandered to. I've always thought that things like orientation don't contribute anything truly meaningful to a character's development, especially if that's their whole 'selling point'. "Look, a gay character! We added them!" Sounds more like a circus act announcing its unusual freak show star than a genuine attempt at crafting something interesting and new. The best part is that the people that would rather not be viewed this way are typically silent on the issue, and those who advocate for them are often part of a very persistent, vocal minority that look to virtue signal.
@Heartbound said:
Here's my thing about it. You can say your x y z but unless you're actually doing it, it's all lip service.
Like as a straight man, I can appreciate a body builder. They look great. They do a good job. I can say man that dude is hot. Doesn't mean anything. I can say it's my identity, but it's not. A person is more than their sexuality.
You can partake in gay acts. You can let people know that hey. I do those things, but you are not defined by it. If you're trans then you probably want to be treated like the gender you're transitioning to. You'd take on that genders characteristics and there wouldn't be a second guess. You can't say I'm transitioning to a straight man and date men. A straight man wouldn't date a straight man. You know?
Now translate that to the game. A lot of men get penetrated (on hooks) in this game. You're probably not going to treat the survivor any different due to their sexuality because stereotypes. They're just going to be a normal survivor. Unless you put a paragraph in the lore or something.
I don't get it.

I just don't see the point of it in this game, on last post i got some hate because i told my opinion. I don't have anything against it but why? Will it help you to survive? How many more personalities would need to add after? It doesn't even have anything to do with lore.

It's because people are way too PC these days and self absorbed to the point that they find ridiculous things to get offended over , they probably only want it so samination can give it a voice and a parody more than they actually want it in the game , watch and see when they implement it people will cry it's not a good representation or they don't like how they look
I was waiting for somebody to take offense, but y'all have some common sense.
I'm not opposed to it, but I just don't see the point.

interesting that internet latency would cause your console to over heat. seems that there is a problem with your xbox or the installation of the program that would cause this issue. Ping is not something that could even cause anything to over heat...
The ping didn't cause the overheat, the overheat caused the ping.
It's weird, I know.

Stick a cross hair sticker on your screen. Seriously.
Drop Lightborn, Brutal, and Iron Grasp. Replace with Iron Maiden (if you're out of gloves), Nurse's (since her TR is tiny, Nurse's range extends past it) and another perk of your choice, like M&A (which drops your TR to 12m) or any other perk.

So correct me if I'm wrong. But what you're saying is that tactics used in the game should not be fun?
How is there any downside to tactics being fun for both survivors and killers?
They CAN be fun. They shouldn't be designed to be unfun.
I think I'm coming off as a bit extreme here. Game mechanics should be designed with effectiveness in mind with a side product of fun. Game mechanics shouldn't be anti-fun.
In my mind, because very fewmatches I lose are highly enjoyable, winning is a significant portion of my fun.

The only thing game breaking is how much easier it is for killers. There are huge deadzones on the maps, no pallets for a hundred miles. Most pallets on the new Ormond are actual suicide zones. The map designer should be fired!
I played one game as survivor on the new Ormond map and I legit turned off the game to take a breather because it was so tilting. This is a major issue, the tiny amount of bugs on the killer side are minuscule here.
Not all of the bugs are all survivors.
I'm not willing to write an essay right now, but don't go on your whole "woe is survivors" tangent.

"There's always a trap you could have placed better"
....that applies to Trapper as well??
Huntress could in theory be lobby hatchets up into the skybox and back down on survivors, etc.
I find Hag super easy. Where you place your traps hardly matters if you are fast enough at taking them. Any chokepoint or pallet near the 3 gen or hook will do. And if you do scrollwheel? Ridiculously easy, playing her to me is mainly up to if you have the patience to sit around camping all game.
I think rusty shackles hag is actually one of the easiest killers in the game to 4k with. No effort required at all really. With that you don't even have to be quick at taking the traps, just lay them and collect your free hits.
Trapper has other issues that hold him back, namely his very low map pressure and aspect of luck when escaping a trap.
I'm going to say thin only one more time: Skill ceiling has NOTHING to do with how hard a killer is. It refers to how good you can get at a certain killer. And hag is a killer you have to be very big brained with if you aren't cheesing with Rusty Shackles.

blight? trapper?oni?spirit?huntress? maybe higher then the most basic run down killers like bubba and clown but getting survivors to run inside one of your 10 yard wide bubbles u can tele to to get a hit isnt that hard
Trapper, Oni, and Huntress are not high skill ceiling killers.
A skill ceiling defines how good you can get at a certain killer. Hag's is almost infinite. There's always a trap you could've placed better. In some games with, say, Oni, there was nothing you could've done better. Skill ceiling has nothing to do with how hard a killer is.

Give me one good reason to be selfless and I might reconsider my position.

I don't tunnel because I can't win otherwise, to preface.
I tunnel for two reasons:
- It makes my life a whole lot easier. Why wouldn't I take the easy win?
- There are reasons why rage compilations have millions of views. It's kinda fun.
My job isn't to ensure your fun. Frankly, I don't care whether or not you have fun. I did, that's all I care about and that's all I bought the game for. At the very least, I don't complain (nor do I have the right to) about the occasional 4-man SWAT squad all running Soul Guard, DS, BT, and another strong perk.

You don't get to say no, you're not a dev.
Tunneling is indeed griefing
Developers already confirmed that tunneling is not a form of griefing. I use it frequently to quickly remove a player from a match for easier pressure.
What did you expect me to say, "I, but a humble peasant, soundly disagree with your (objectively false) statements"?
-
No.
Tunneling is not griefing, nor is it an inexperienced strategy.
Also, slow hook progress when the killer is near was already tried and abused.
-
Not if the whole purpose is so the character can be another gender.
I won't have a political discussion here (on my wall if you want one) but this shouldn't be a thing.
