It doesn't show killers aura with insidious after this update.
So I’ll continue to wiggle my arms while on hook of Hillbilly or Leatherface decide to camp. Is Wraiths cloak immune too?
-
Does it work against insidious?
-
Jane got nothing on Claudette. No one can beat her chocolatey goodness.
-
You shouldn’t let it bother you. Play the game how ever you want. Survivors will take advantage of every single obstacle that they could, which is why they SWF. Even if you do camp, it’s not your fault that they fall for it.
i intentionally camp when I have the add on that makes my bell silent. I love it when they walk into me and take a second to realize I’m right there. It may not be fun for the survivor, but so the survivors care about the killers happiness when they loop a killer for 4 gens? Do they care when they coordinate with their friends over discord and repeatedly stun the killer after leading him to a locker? Do they care how the killer feels when they blind him with 3 flashlights? Do they care how the killer feels when they realize they can’t hook because a survivor sabotaged a hook?
No, they don’t. Have fun and don’t care about what they feel as long as you’re not hacking or abusing the game.
Also, show mercy to shirtless David’s and Blendettes. They’re precious and need to be loved and petted.

Not even joking, the David King body pillow was the first item to completely sell out in the new store.
Provide a Speedo David and Dwight body pillow and you’ll quadruple the sales.

Don't tell me someone thought the Strager Things skins with the chapter were actually "good"... The same sweater without small holes and practically unperceivable changes...
Yea, I bought the Stranger Things chapter bundle with the base game and am upset that the scoops ahoy costume didn’t come with it. They could have given a little better value for my money.
-
Him being able to T-bag survivors makes it worth it.
-
Omg, is that a real Dwight costume or fan made? If it’s not real, Devs need to release one for him and David, pronto!
-
Dwight is best girl. No one can beat his thicc behind.

As somebody who has given mercy to survivors I have definitely gotten a couple of people accuse me of doing something bannable.
As I've always told them as long as I'm not teaming with this survivor to actively kill the team I'm going up against I'm not doing anything that's ban worthy.
Typically I'll even give them hatch or let them get the Left for Dead achievement if they haven't already got it because that achievements a pain in the ass.
Hell if the match went by quickly enough and it was complete domination I might just farm up some points with them because I definitely know they didn't make many points and I didn't make many points because the match ended so quickly.
Thats similar to my play style I usually let the last two go if I feel that I tunneled too much, or if their team was just a bunch of potatoes.
-
I would love to see a new mode like this, where its two killers vs 10 survivors in an expanded map.
Hag and Trapper would make grass scarier than ever.
Spirit and Ghostface coming at you from out of nowhere.
Leatherface and Billy confusing you with chainsaws.
Would be fun, but only after the dedicated server issues are all ironed out.
-
I will always dodge a group that I believe is an SWF. They have an unfair advantage that breaks the game for killers, no killer should be forced to play with them. Blame the devs, and ask them to balance around swf (i know easier said than done).
-
@Fibijean said:
It's not extremely clear. The developers have said in the past that they disapprove of farming but won't ban for it. On the other hand, working with the killer as a survivor is a bannable offence, but I'm pretty sure that just means intentionally leading the killer to your teammates to get them killed.
My view would be that it is your prerogative as a killer to have mercy, or not, on whichever survivors you please. It's up to you who, if anyone, you want to kill or let go.
But since the official position on the topic is somewhat unclear, if a dev comes along and disagrees with me, go with whatever they say instead.
Thanks for the response. The survivor I showed mercy to had no idea she was bait. I actually kind of feel bad to what I did to Blendy, but I was just so aggravated with her, and the prior swf team I faced and took it out on her.
I'll just make sure to use tactics like this with more sweaty people.
-
Honestly, the trash talk doesn't bother me. I usually type gg, and if they respond nastily, I just type in: Muahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha and throw in a couple of lols you ded, you lost to potato me. lol lol lol, and I like to think that aggravates them more.
-
Yes, which is why I don't even listen to it anymore. They need to get someone like Tom Hiddleston to do it.
-
Well, from what I understand, Some of the Dbd are helping/working with the devs of identity V, so I wouldn’t be surprised if some of its features come into this game.

Maybe a map where the day/night cycle is sped up so the longer a match goes you see sunrises and sunsets so you get both?
I’d like this idea but I want to take it a couple of steps further. In an older version of the fighting game Dead or Alive, the final boss had the ability to change the seasons during the match. It would probably be too much for this game but it would be nice if the devs could figure out a way to change the environment every time someone gets hooked or dies.
-
You should have just ignored the comments. Anyone who needs to use the N-word isn't worth the time to talk to or play a match with. I am happy you destroyed them though.

I don't relish the idea of running around without an atmosphere of horror. Lerys map is pretty bright, but an outdoor map would have to be a football stadium fully lit or something. The beach would be a cool place, bit imagine it at night? When no one's around, and all sorts of slimy things are dredging themselves out of the ocean to come get you.
I agree that the atmosphere should be scary, I’m just saying they could go a different route of doing that. Deafening silence could be terrifying, just like playing against Ghostface and Meyers.
And yes, I want it to where it’s as bright as if it’s just past noon, where there are shadows, but just barely, unless there’s a group of objects casting a larger one.
The terrain could have a couple of dips or minor hills as well. Maybe it’s a bad idea, I just think it could be really neat.

@indieeden7 said:
I'd actually really like a beach/coastline map, maybe a good compromise between night and day could be dawn or dusk. A red/orange hue to the map would be pretty cool if this was added but I don't know how they'd affect scratch marks.
A beach/coastline map would be nice, especially if we could go into the water for a bit. They could introduce a sea monster killer.
-
The game is only ten bucks, it’s practically free. The devs need a constant stream of income to maintain it, run the servers, and pay their salaries.
I have no problem with them selling cosmetics, I just wish they would make interchangeable ones that all our survivors can wear.
-
I’m fine with both. I don’t see them often enough for them to be too much a bother. If I see someone get moried I activate “Ultra Blend Mode” and become one with the environment and do my best to not be seen.
If I am playing killer and they have a key, I don’t worry about it unless I realize they’re part of a full SWF. If their teammates have the full map memorized and have the perks to loop me forever, I’m just going to tunnel the key user until they die.
The game isn’t meant to please players all the time. It’s supposed to keep us on our toes. Mori and Keys do that.
Flashlights are another story. I hate them. I hate them so much that if a player blinds me once, or clickity clicks at me. I don’t care if I throw the match. They must die. If I see a flashlight equipped I’ll make sure to bring a Mori.
-
I've met lots of nice killers when I play as survivors. It really brightens my day. I love a chill Ghostface that twerks and acts silly

The Shape is both effective and relatively easy. I'm not saying he's gonna be the easiest to learn, but he's a good start.
Trapper is another killer who can be insanely effective based on how well you can control a survivor's movements and how well you set traps. He might seem a little difficult (especially when survs pop your traps repeatedly) but he's really great to learn with.
Wraith is about as basic as it gets. Go ghost and find a survivor. Body block if you can and get a hit in. Rinse and repeat. Super straight forward.
Thanks for the responses guys. After browsing the killer list, I decided to use shards to unlock the Hag so I could have access to her ruin. That becomes teachable at level 40, correct?
As far as the next killers I'll try it will probably be Trapper for the reasons DudeDelicious wrote. I'll probably main Spirit just because she tugs at my inner Weebness.

No offense, but if you’re a potato by your own words, I don’t think any killer will help against survivors if they aren’t potatoes, sure you could play a stronger killer that’s relatively easy to use like billy, but in this circumstance it’s just different experience levels, really you just need to play more and become more experienced
But don’t do the standard give up and stand in a corner, you won’t get any better that way, just do what you can, even if you get destroyed, gradually you’ll start to improve and then swf won’t be a problem for you anymore
I want to get better, but I am just slow at learning (Not just in video games). The largest challenge I have is loops and mind gaming people. I would think Nurse would be the best fit for me, but I hate how slow she moves.
-
@ahandfulofrain said:
So... you don't want to play Billy because of his appearance? Beggers can't really be choosers, dude.
Otherwise, do Spirit. She's the easiest killer to be extremely effective with and her power is unmatched right now.
But Billy's more fun.
Thanks for the response. Yea, I just can't stand everything about Billy. I hate how he hunches over and his walk, and I can't stand his face. It repels me. I don't want to play something that I don't like.
I was thinking to play Spirit next, thanks for the suggestion.
-
Is she really that bad? I have only recently started this game and was going to give her a whirl since I like that she floats and enjoy her costumes.
What is the difference between now and pre-nerf?
-
Lack of customizations that you could earn in game.
Lack of objectives for survivors.
This stupid no sugar diet that I am on ;_;
-
*Laughs in Bandages*
-
I don't play as Dwight, but I want Dwelf.
For the most part, I am kind of underwhelmed with character customization. I want more individual pieces like shoes, gloves, hats, glasses, earrings, and even new pants and shirts that can be used for all of my characters. Not confined to one.
-
I don’t consider decorations on maps an event. I would like a free cosmetic, like a Christmas speedo for David.
-
Wraith.
He needs to be able to attack and hook while cloaked.
I am only semiserouis
-
@justaSpirit_phase said:
Lol I don’t think I saw one wraith on here but I can’t tell you how many times survivors have run into my whilst uncloaking and I just get a free hit. But huntress, legion, and spirit are others. (Legion just because I love the character and for some reason I always get 4ks)
I like Wraith and believe he is lots of fun, but from my experience, he’s not that good against good loopers playing with SWFs. I guess that could be said for most killers, it just feels so frustrating when I play as Wraith.
-
I’ve been scared of Michael since childhood. Forgot all about him until he made me pee myself when I first played this game. The fact that they included his soundtrack doesn’t help keep my undies dry.
-
I’ve only seen him in gameplay videos, and the only thing that bothers me is the amount of blood orbs a survivor leaves behind.
It gives him a huge advantage in tracking. I think it would be a bit better for survivors if they would decrease the amount of orbs the longer you have the killer out of sight.
-
I’ve been playing for almost a month. The only killer that I’ve played any good amount of time is Wraith. He’s gotten boring at times, and his decloaking slowdown is annoying, but I love it when a survivor thinks they’re creeping away from me and end up walking right into me.
Im being cheap at the moment but I’ll probably end up getting Ghostface (@Devs take note, I’ll buy him ASAP if you come out with his High/Silly face) since I like being a Mr Sneaky McSneak. Blame Blendette, she’s my main.

It's funny, I was the opposite. Made to Rank 1 as killer and wanted to get good at survivor seeing how good many players were.
Looping was always frustrating as killer, that was what made me want to achieve said skill. I am bad at it. But it is a survival tactic, which without the survivor will go down in seconds and killer wins.
Gen rushing is up to us as killers to control or combat. Using strategies and viable perks we have a lot of say in survivors success at gen rushing, which is really just doing a genny and not being interrupted by killer.
When it comes to being looped, the smartest thing to do is to break off and go after the weakest link. The faster a killer gets rid of the poor loopers, the easier it will be for them to get the pro looper.
Sure, it sucks for the weak link, but hey, I want some kills and blood points.
As far as “fun” goes, it’s very subjective. Some players have fun tunneling, some have fun camping, others have fun chasing. I have fun tunneling and camping a flashlight clicking, t-bagging looper than winning the match. If I can’t catch them, I’ll resort to camping until I catch the t-bagger. Even more fun is when they make a stupid mistake and die first. Then I’ll just harass their teammates a bit and let them win. I’ll down them, smack the gen while holding them and then drop them to give them the message that I want them to do gens.

They are legit strategies, but they are not fun strategies. I know you don't have to care about the others fun, but there must be a reason for the "did you have fun" election on PS4.
I may depend on how you Identify in this game and if you play both sides
Not every match will be fun for every player. I used to exclusively play survivor, but when I got my Blendette to level 50 at prestige II, I dipped my toes in to the killers side. And yes, I can see how camping is not fun, but it is not fun when survivors gen rush, run loops across the whole map, or just hide for the entire map.
The fact of the matter is, rather than accepting that a player is going to lose, they would rather come to the forums and whine about it in hopes the devs would change the game to make it easier and more fun for them, but more boring and difficult to their opponents.
-
All characters need an increase in polygons. All of their faces need some love. All of them need more fluid animations.

I just want one OP killer that can be brought out at anytime to make survivors so scared of my massive swinging hog, that they DC and instantly ban themselves for 10 mins just by looking at me. That's not asking for a lot, and if I don't get it I will uninstall this game and have one of my buds at ICE deport an immigrant family. Your move, BHVR
Ghostface, Spirit, and Freddy(sometimes Wraith). When playing as a survivor, I can usually expect one of my teammates to DC when we have to face one of them.

Blendette and predator are hardly comparable, Blendette isn’t really that hard to see.
When she’s in the cornfields or hiding in the bushes of the Yamaoka map, she is.
-
Lobby dodging is fine. If they take away the ability for me to dodge a team full of Blendettes, I’ll just Alt+F4. It’s hard enough to deal with SWF, I don’t want to go blind looking for a group of Predators.

So you consider that when because example:
Situation 1
A Wraith against 4 players plays without focusing, camp and kills only 1.
Situation 2
A Wraith against 4 players (SWF) plays by focusing, camper and finally by performing that action kills 3, the other one escapes.
Explain to me ..
If a Wraith killer camps and only gets 1 killer, then he will get minimal blood points.
If a SWF loses 3 survivors, then they weren’t a very good SWF team.
The strategy against a camper is to rush generators. That puts pressure on the Killer to stop camping. If the survivors are too stupid to rush the gens, that’s on them.
You not liking or enjoying camping doesn’t make it wrong.
-
Um, camping and tunneling are legit strategies, I don’t know where you got the idea that they’re illegal. Just because it makes survivors butthurt doesn’t make it illegal.
-

That would be sweet to see. Buffy could have that Kill the Killer perk people been joking about. Or at least a new way to stun. A stealthy vampire would be great.
No, the last thing this game needs is another stealth killer. If anything, they need to make the vampire terrifying, like they did with the Oni. Just hearing him roar sends chills down my spine.

That was Scary movie 1
I stand corrected.
-
Ghostface is a pain to face, but I’m not going to ask for nerfs to him. Instead, I just want the devs to introduce the Stoner Face mask from Scary Movie 2.
-
The devs want people to play more, so I doubt they’d allow a reset and refund blood points.
Just play killer since it’s usually easier to farm blood points with.

What's the point of tunneling the weakest if they're just gonna try to take you off of them.
As a Wraith, with addons, it’s not hard to tunnel an injured player. As long as you have 3 or more gens, it’s doable. I do wish Wraith could use a trap or two to make body blockers suffer.
-
I am a terrible looper but good at stealth. Stealth killers like GhostFace make the game more difficult since it’s so hard to detect and avoid them, which makes me hate them.
I also like them because most of the ones I face are chill players and would realize I’m fail and let me live to complete objectives. More often then not, they accept my crouching pleas for life.
They much nicer players than Trappers are. Trappers are just meanies.
