I miss Old Freddy too :(
I wish he stayed pretty much the same after his rework mainly because of how great it feels to be oppressive as "one of the worst killers in the game" back then. I will still remember the days of old Remember Me and old Freddy where a Jake tries desperately to escape only to fall to my claws.
The rework made him much better and easier to use, definitely. But I will still miss playing as old Freddy.
I never got to play against old Freddy. Why was he considered bad? I’ve seen some gameplay videos where I noticed you could only see him while asleep and when you’re awake, you could see the survivors body being carried off by an invisible man. I thought that was a nice detail and wish it stayed.

Remove the ability for survivors to be confident. This is “supposed” to be a horror game, the survivor should be scared when they see a killer coming at them. Not run up to a killer, do their little tbagging dance and click their flashlight at them. There needs to be more threat, how they do that? I don’t know.
I do think there should be more immersion.
-
Am I the only survivor that likes watching the Moris? I mean, when I realize he has one, I’ll creep up so I could see it in action. Heck, if my team dcs because of it, I’ll walk up so he could do it to me.
People are taking this game too seriously. Everyone should have fun, killers included. Moris aren’t game breaking (though they can be annoying) and they’re rare enough that I only see them maybe 1 out of 10 matches.
If you realize the killer has one, do your best to stay out of their LOS.
-
Only after Dwight gets a Speedo outfit.
-
Rather than advanced settings, I'd like to see more fluid animations, better facial animations. When someone screams, they should look the part, not be stiff like barbie.
Id also like to see more detailed modeling, as well is different character animations. Everyone seems like they all use the same running, crouching and struggling animations.
Different subject, but I'd also like to see a behind the scenes featurette showing us the devs working on the game and showing us the voice actors doing their jobs.

I used to think this would be fun, but people mentioned certain killer combos that would make it miserable for survivors. You could have Mrs Piggy trapping peoples heads and Oni or Billy zipping across the map to the unlocking stations preventing you from removing the reverse bear trap.
You could have to face Freddy and Spirit, where Freddy slows the game down and Spirit just destroys your looping. You could have Billy zipping all over the place and trapper making grass and bushes too dangerous for you to want to walk through.
It would take a lot of work to balance.
-
I had a match yesterday where I ended up camping someone because their team only had 1 Gen left. They tried to save him but didn’t realize I had NOED. They sarcastically mentioned how fun it was to be camped and how good of a killer I was in the chat. I picked up on the sarcasm immediately and responded, why yes, it felt great, and that I was a a pro killer. It it is so much fun to camp people who fall for it. It made them saltier and they started cussing me. I just loled at them and then moved on.

I’m literally so trash at this game I don’t even know what to do anymore.
even when I try to be good at this game, the stupid hit boxes mess me up.
yup I can’t even get into red ranks so I don’t have have to deal with my trash teammates when they’re the ones keeping me in low ranks
I’m trash at the game too. I can’t loop for more than 30 seconds. I accept that I’ll never be as good as the streamers or sweaty swf teams and make the game fun for myself. I run SpineChill, Premonition and Urban Evasion.
The second Premonition lights up, I Urban Evade away from my objective until I spot the killer and watch them walk away. People like to put down my play style but I don’t let it bother me. I enjoy it, especially if the killer doesn’t find me for the whole match.
The only ones who I consider are trash are the players who farm hooks while the killer is still in the area, or the impatient survivor in the hook who could see me crawling to them, but don’t realize my SpineChill is telling me not to unhook because the killer is there. I also hate it when I unhook and they run and leave scratch marks for the killer to easily find them. It’s worse when playing against the Hag.
Dont take the game too seriously, it’s just a game. Make it fun for yourself.
If you want to improve, play killer. You’ll get a whole different perspective and it will help you be a better survivor. Also watch some top streamers, you’ll pick up a thing or two, though I still can’t flashlight properly.
-
I love Urban Evasion. I don’t know how I survived without it. It has helped me keep out of a killers LOS for plenty of matches. I love out sneaking Ghostface.
-
Depends on my mood. Sometimes I’ll try to sneak up to a killer and twerk behind them until they realize I’m there. Sometimes I’ll try to find a tool box or med kit and offer it to them as a peace offering. Sometimes I just run up to the killer since they did a good job. If I’m salty, I’ll just hide until the Entity embraces me.
More often than not, killers let me go as long as my team wasn’t toxic. Some will strike me down and carry me to the door or hatch. It’s especially enjoyable when I’m carried by Daddy Michael.

I can understand what you mean and you've made a good point, but when a killer has a hex ruin on and camps, it's unfair
Survivors do have the option to counter Hex:Ruin by running Small Game and destroying the totem. How do you think a killer feels when Ruin gets destroyed in the first minute of a match? I’ve even spawned across from the totem as a survivor several times.

I think people who got camped deserves to complain about it at least. It's not fun for the one getting camped but I'm also annoyed that this plays made by the killer is getting rewarded by the rest of the survivors. Like I'm just face palming at how many times I have lost matches where there was one or two generators left but survivors tackled the camping scenario so poorly and ended with the killer getting a 4K and this in or near red ranks.
It’s also not fun playing a killer that isn’t Nurse, Spirit or Freddy, have no slowdown perks or decent map pressure and have 3 gens pop in 4 minutes. Sometimes the only thing a killer can do when there is one or two gens left is to camp.
Even if killers didn’t camp, survivors will still find something to complain about.
If I’m playing Ghostface, I’ll camp a little in the beginning of a match just to put on a sexy twerk show.

I was watching YouTube one day 3-4 years ago and ohmwrecker and delirious were playing this game.
That is how I joined Dbd.
Ohmwrecker got me into the game as well. It’s not a game I’d typically play since I’m a big chicken, but just hearing him plead “Michael, No!, No Michael! Michael, leave me alone” made me laugh and get more interested into the game. I don’t even know how the video got into my YouTube feed. It’s not like I was watching any horror related games. Most of my YouTube watching consists of people rescuing abandoned or hurt pets, funny cat videos, movie trailers, some anime clips and some cooking stuff.
It really is a fun game. The devs need to go full force on working out all the kinks with dedicated servers, and then they need to actually advertise to get more players.
-
What would you suggest they do?
-
From all the posts on the forum, one would think Legion will soon be helping survivors do generators and even help them with medkits.
-
Would making her walk faster alleviate any of her issues?
-
I want them to nerf his face. I can't stand looking at it, it just unnerves me. More than Bubbas. Give him a mask or a cowboy hat that throws a shadow over it.
-
I would like new cosmetics that I can use on all characters. Ex; Claudettes fancy dress on Janes curvy frame would look nice, though Claudette does do it justice.
I would like each killer to have unique chase music like Freddy, Demopuppy, Oni and Michael have.
More objectives for survivors, such as having to fix powerlines or something.
I want a Mindflayer type of killer from Dungeons and Dragons, and I want him to float like Nurse, but I want him to emit smoke as well.
Michael, David and Dwight need a speedo only outfit, though this would go with my first want.
A new game mode, but I understand how hard that would be.
I wanted a "no" head shake and a creepy "yes" head nod emotes for killers, but I kinda like how killers do it now.
I want an It skin for the clown. I don't think we need the actual "It" in the game.
-
I would need to invest in some Depends if this happens. Not that I am complaining.

Yeah guess killers shouldn't have cried about old brand new part should have just let it stay where you press it and it insta fixed the gen or insta heal needles or old flashlight and pallets "just because you didn't like it doesn't mean it's wrong" seriously stfu if you're gonna be one sided and act cool when clearly you're a super butt hurt baby. Either contribute with a non biased point of view and explain yourself like an adult or stay quiet kid, as for face camping yes they are trying to mitigate it but in all the wrong ways, just gotta hold out and see what happens I spose
My point still stands. A killer has every right to camp a player on a hook since they’re basically throwing a game in favor of the remaining survivors-if they’re smart enough to push the gens. It’s not the killers fault that survivors fall for it more often than not. Stop falling for it and they’ll stop doing it. If they don’t, they lose out on blood points and just waste time, which is punishment enough.
Trying to equate overpowered items to gameplay strategies shows me that you’re just not intelligent enough to even discuss this topic with.
And no, I’m not “butt hurt”. I play both roles, and I actually favor the survivor role over the killer role. It’s much less stressful and more fun and thrilling. It’s what has me hooked to this game. So your wrong about me being biased.
And you should be taking your own advice, nothing in your post is true or constructive. Me thinks you’re just another angry survivor main that just wants to complain.

it’s not whining, it’s pure frustration because i was punished for nothing.
It was whining because you posted nothing constructive. You just demanded the devs to fix the game without giving any ideas for them to do so. It was basically just a rant. Go reread the post and you’ll see it was.
Ultimately, it was the fault of your teammates that they came and unhooked you while the killer was obviously camping you. They should have pressured him by gen rushing. I sometimes camp because whispers is telling me someone is near by (I’m also a potato killer)and the survivor almost always takes the bait. But then, when I attempt it on competent survivors, they’ll pop two gens and cause me to leave the camp strategy. Though, I like to be nice and let the freshly unhooked get away and go for the idiot that did the unhooking while I’m within view. Unless the one on the hook is a t-bagging flashlight clicker. Then I’ll throw the game because they’re so annoying and I want them to die or watch me twerk if I’m playing GhostFace<_<.
You shouldn’t look at it as if you were punished. You were just in the wrong place at the wrong time.

@AvisDeene Dude really? Your post would've been informational and great if you would have never insulted the Survivors gameplay to start it off. Please Killers, stop doing this. Not once did OP insult the Killer for being a camper so this was so unnecessary.
@StrodeWins Anyway, OP as much as I hate to say this, I don't think the Devs won't do much about it. They believe camping is a strategy and as long as they do, Killers will do it. It sucks but hey, what can we do. Just move on to the next game and HOPE the next Killer isn't a camper as well, thats all we can do at this point. Sorry you had to deal with that.
Edit: Missed a word.
If you read my post, you will see that I never insulted the op for their gameplay. I just called him out for whining like the other countless threads and complaints about camping. There was nothing constructive to his original post at all, it was just them complaining and telling the devs to fix it because he didn’t like it. Granted I could have phrased it differently, but I was annoyed from another post that I read and ended up replying that way here. I do apologize if I offended anyone, that wasn’t my intent.
People do need to stop complaining about something they don’t like without actually trying to look at things from the opposite perspective. It is tiring to see the same stupid complaints over and over, especially when they’ve been addressed multiple times, even by devs.
I wish there was a way to force players to play both roles. I think that would get the whining down to tolerable levels.
I just want to point out that I do agree that it sucks to be camped, but it’s only part of the game. I think I only face 2 campers out of every 10 matches I play, and I’ve been playing a lot recently. You just gotta move on and hope you’re not paired up with that killer any time soon.

I agree with almost everything you said but I dont like the get good saying ng. Because it does nothing to try and get the ones who ONLY play survivor or ONLY play killer to see things from the side.
A lot of killers think key should be completely gone.which I can understand being a killer main myself. But I don't think it's the key that's the issue it's the requirements to use it and the fact that there's literally no draw back to having it.
I'd much rather see something be done about DS than see a nerd to keys.
I only started saying get good in retaliation to survivors who say it to killers. I main both sides now, though I’m more partial to survivors because Claudette is my Chocolatey Bae, and I enjoy the trill of trying to complete objectives while avoiding the killer.
The fact of the matter is if a survivor gets caught early in the match it’s because they got unlucky and spawned near the killer, or were not aware of their surroundings enough to realize the killer is near. Or, the survivor is just inexperienced at running and looping and doesn’t have the right perks to extend the chase.
And I agree with you about the key. I don’t think they should be removed. The Devs just need to balance more.
Killer only mains and survivor only mains need to break out of their shells and invest some time into playing the opposite roles in order to see that not everything is peaches and cream on the other side. It will also show them how much that they could improve when they face someone that is better at their role of choice.

getting downed after a certain amount of time is unavoidable. it’s impossible, and looping can’t last forever. camping is a strat, but really? at 5 gens? 5 gens can’t even be completed by the time of one sacrifice, which leaves 2 survivors dead because of camping.
If the survivor is good, the killer can definitely be looped long enough in the beginning of the match for three gens to be popped, if your teammates aren’t wasting time cleansing dead totems or just hiding in a bush watching their teammate run the killer.
My advice to you would be for you to level two killers to 50 so you could see how good survivors are. When I started playing I thought I was a decent survivor, not great, but decent enough to where I was a team player and could do objectives. Then I played killer and I learned the truth. I was nowhere near good. Facing more experienced survivors showed me that I was a bad survivor and that there is a lot of room for growth and once mastered, a survivor can give a killer a horrible time.
Yes, getting downed after a certain amount of time is unavoidable, but it’s up to the survivor milk the chase for as long as possible. And if the killer decided to waste time and get the down, they have every right to want to camp and make sure the survivor dies. It may not be a great strategy, but that certainly doesn’t mean the killer should be punished with zero bloodpoints. Once they decide to camp, they punish themselves by throwing the rest of the game, unless the survivor teammates take the bait and stop doing gens.

It's these azzhat posts that I find sad. Not the survivors fault for being camped and unless they are part of an organized SWF, they are not getting free. Unless the killer is pure crap or the survivor is the best of the best, once the killer is on you, it is a matter of time. Myself, I won't chase for long in the early stages, I'll peel off when near a gen being worked on. That said, if I'm on you and determined to put you down, it is only a matter of time.
Blaming the survivor for getting camped is absolute ignorance. Face camping when there are 5 gens is pure toxic. That killer is no better than the 4 man hit squads who derank just to bully killers. Both are what is wrong with this game.
I face camped one time and it was during EGC vs 4 man SWF. There were three survivors left. Got one hooked and had to stave off the other two. End result was I slugged one, downed the rescuer, the hooked one got away and other 2 died due to EGC. That is where a hard camp is strategic. Not vs 4 solos with 3 or more gens left. If you need to camp vs them, you should get better at killer.
I find it sad that people complain about camping and tunneling and want to punish killers by reducing their blood points to zero. Devs have even said that it’s a legitimate strategy. Heck, the perk insidious encourages camping.
If a survivor gets caught, they should get better at the game. They can work out a strategy in the chat before the match starts, or even invite each other to their Discord server. They could run perks that will help them avoid the killer, or even break free from the killer. They can even jump off the hook and have their teammates body block the killer so they could get away.
Heck, they could use the BEST STRATEGY against camping which is to just have their teammates power through generators and end the match while the killer is wasting time. Sure, one would die, but at least that way 3 will live and the killer would get minimal points.
Not everyone plays a top killer. Many of the killers are underpowered and need to be reworked or buffed in order to get a chance to do good.
Is camping a good strategy? No, it’s not, but all of the cons that come with it are punishment enough. Sometimes, killers don’t have an option to run around to look for survivors because they don’t have enough perks from other killers unlocked in order to track them. Maybe the killer isn’t “pro” enough to compete with the survivor so they resort to camping? Maybe the killer enjoys camping? Why should a killer care about how enjoyable the experience for the survivor is in the first place? It’s obvious that most survivors don’t care how much fun the killer is having.
Don’t be mad at the killer, be mad at your overly altruistic teammates for not rushing gens. Be mad at yourself for being caught, especially when the devs have put plenty of things into the game to help you avoid being seen, caught, or even help you escape.
Instead of telling other players to get good at a video game, you should get good yourself.

"Oh look, another survivor only player complaining about camping because they weren't good enough to avoid the killer in the first place." what a cringe reply. stop acting like youre perfect and have never been downed/hooked before. what a cop out response from a typical reddit killer. be more helpful
And yet, your post did nothing to help the conversation at all. Just more whining and insulting.
I get hooked, killed, tunneled and camped all the time. But I understand that it’s all part of the game and a lot of the times I made a mistake that lead me to getting spotted or caught. I don’t blame the killer, never have and never will. I don’t come crying on the forums about how unfair it is. I just accept my loss and move on to the next match. If I ever happen to feel that I’ve had enough, I’ll just take a break from the game and play something else.
If you ever bothered to read any of my posts, you would have seen me admitting multiple times that I’m a Potato at this game. I don’t delude myself into thinking that I’m some kind of pro and I don’t have aspirations to ever be one.
You should take your own advice and be more helpful to the discussion. The topic is should camping be punished. My answer was that it is already punished by survivors completing the generators and the killer getting minimal blood points. Apparently players don’t think that’s enough and want the killer to get nothing for the chase, capture and hook that they got, as well as for the time they spent making sure the survivor doesn’t get away.
Sure, it’s not an optimal strategy, but with the way the game is today, sometimes that’s all some killers can do. Not everyone plays Spirit, Nurse or Freddy and can end loops almost instantly.
Rather than crying or complaining, how about you and all the whiners actually come up with some actual constructive alternatives to discuss.
And before anyone thinks I’m a killer main, I’ve only been playing for a little over a month, I have Claudette maxed out to Prestige II, I have two other survivors at base leve 50, and only one level 50 killer with minor experience with two other killers.
People need to play both sides to see it’s not all peaches and cream for everyone.

If you want killers punished for trying to ensure a kill, get the devs to punish survivors for everything I mentioned first.

Stealth play isn’t hiding in plain sight hoping the killer doesn’t see you, stealth play is actually not being seen, I do this all the time in my brightest cosmetics.
Sometimes, hiding in plain sight while using camouflage, is the best strategy. I’ve been able to get the killer to lose chase with me by slowly going over a window and urban evading into a bush.
Hunters use it in real life to hunt their prey, the military uses it, why shouldn’t players use it?
-
Give me a massive enraged bear with Oni style roar and charge and it’s instabuy for me.
-
All of them
My potatoness knows no bounds. I don't know why I play the game sometimes, with how bad I am its amazing that I could survive matches.
I hate the stealth ones the most, I rely on hearing the killer along with spinechill and premonition. If their ability blocks mine, the chase usually ends quick since I am terrible at looping.
I enjoy hiding, and creeping around rocks and trees. It's thrilling when the killer is on the other side looking for me, and I am just slowly edging around making sure I am out of their line of sight. heck, its funny when I wedge myself between rocks or hide in a bush and the killer just passes me by.
I like helping my teammates with unhooks and healing. I hate how they're idiots and run off, leaving a bunch of scratch marks for the killer to follow (or worse, run over all of the hags traps). Seriously, it wouldnt kill you to crawl away to not leave a trail and let me heal you.
All in all, Ghostface, Mrs Piggy, Legion, and Michael and Wraith give me the most trouble. Ghostface doesn't scare me anymore because I find it funny when I seem him peeking behind a corner.
Trapper is a pain because he makes all grass become scary.
I like facing the doctor and Plague if I have good teammates.
-
Oh look, another survivor only player complaining about camping because they weren't good enough to avoid the killer in the first place. Before you cry some more, how about you play both sides and try out killer for a bit. Once you experience 10 well coordinated groups you will be singing a new tune.
And for those asking for punishment, there already is one, your stupid teammates could keep pushing out the gens. The faster they complete the match, the less blood points and kills the killer gets.
Just because you don't like an aspect of the game doesn't make it wrong. It may not be fun for you, but not everything is supposed to be fun.
-Its not fun to be looped around the entire map and have 3 gens pop back to back
-Its not fun getting hit by pallets over and over
-Its not fun to get body blocked by three people while you're trying to hook someone
-Its not fun to be blinded by two or three people after you finish a long chase
-Its not fun for a killer to have to deal with borrowed time
-Its not fun for killers to get repeatedly flashlight clicked or t-bagged over and over
-Its not fun when a killer finally catches a tryhard and they DC because they can't handle getting hooked or killed
-its not fun for a killer to be doing a good job through out the whole match and the survivors escape with a key
-its not fun when survivors hide through out the whole match and barely try to do the gens because they're too scared to do the gens and don't want to get caught
-Its not fun when survivors dc because they don't like the map
-its not fun when survivors dc because they don't like the killer
-Its not fun when survivors suicide on hook because they're angry babies
-Its not fun when a swf on comms coordinate to repeatedly loop and locker stun the killer
-Its not fun when a killer is trying to hook someone only to find someone broke the hook
-its not fun for Trapper to find out his trap was broken
-Its not fun to play Plague because her power depends on the Survivors actions
-Its not fun to face a group of survivors that have 4 toolboxes and one or two brand new parts and power through all the gens in 5 minutes.
Stop crying like babies. You win some and you lose some. No matter what match you play, someone will end up not having fun. Just accept the death and move on to the next game.
The only thing I think the devs should do is to make sure that after you face a killer once, they shouldn't pair you up with them(or killer type) again until you are matched up with several different killers.
-
I don’t mind either. If I find out the killer has a mori, I go full on Predator Blendette Cloak Mode and meld into my surroundings and do my best to never be seen.
If I see a survivor has a key, and they turn out to be toxic, I’ll tunnel them until they die. If they’re not toxic, I’ll treat them normally.
Im a potato player in both roles, and have no desire to play super competitively, though I’d like to loop better, so when I play killer, if someone dc’s or if I kill a few players too soon, I’ll just troll the remaining two for fun and let them go. If I’m playing Ghostface, I’ll put on a twerk show for them too.

No thanks to the map. I hate indoor maps with a passion. Unless they make it huge and introduce 2 killers vs 10 survivors.

Best response to comments from turds like this is to just type lololololol. Sometimes I like to throw in a Muahahahaha, but that’s usually reserved for when I narrowly escape a scary killer.

Buffy as a Survivor. Her perks would be:
- Stake to the heart. Impales the killer with a wooden steak, causing the killer to enter dying state for the rest of the match.
- Backflip. Performs a continuous backflip when chased by the killer preventing the killer from landing any hits. Backflips will stop once killer abandons chase.
- Intervention. Buffy chases the Killer while he is chasing a survivor. Before the Killer could strike, Buffy launches a fly kick at the Killer sending them flying to the other side of the map.
In all seriousness, I want a Zombie killer along with Pinhead.
-
I find that it is really easy to just avoid the Oni. Hard to miss seeing him coming, whether or not he’s walking or dashing. If you’re a big chicken like me and run Spinechill and Premonition, and are not indoors, it’s almost impossible for him to find you as long as you hide the second Premonition lights up.
I also recommend using the thicken fog offerings, though that’s a double edge sword because you may get Ghostface or Daddy Meyers.
