I envy you that you can play on P2P.
-
Because 4 Iridescent as Killer is way more likely than 4 Iridescents as Survivor. Iridescent Unbroken means, you should not go down, which is unrealistic, most of the time.
-
I am pretty sure you are not using any Meta Perks at all. /s
-
It is only really useful when playing SWF with Sabotage. And with a whole Build around it, like combined with Unbreakable, Tenacity, No Mither...
But other than that, not useful at all, in my opinion. But this goes for almost all Survivor Perks, they have some interaction, but you will only once in a blue moon be able to pull it off, at least as Solo.

As if they designed a game without thinking about voicecomms in 2016. Thats the dumbest thing ive ever heard too rant about SWF.
Sadly it is a common "argument" of some people - SWF did not exist when the game was first launched, so it should have never been part of it. That it got implemented 1 month later and such a feature cannot be designed in a few weeks (meaning, it was simply not ready for initial release, but planned and worked on) is most likely ignored.
Plus of course what you mentioned.
-
I mean, you can say the same about Whispers. Should it be disabled?
And why is Billy not in your list? He is so fast, he can easily travel from one Gate to the other on most of the Maps, regardless of their distance. Should his Chainsaw be disabled?
Surely not.
When it comes to Trap Killers, two of the Killers mentioned have a Counter - you can wake up vs Freddy at your clock to prevent Snares from revealing your Location and you can crouch over Hags Traps.
Trapper needs to travel to the Exit Gates first AND needs to have a Trap ready. This might take enough time already to open a Gate. Demogorgon might not have any Portals left he can use - if Survivors would not remove every Portal they find, even if it is in an area where no Gen or anything is left, this might be the case. He also has a Cooldown to his Power.
The only Killer where it really can be a challenge is Trapper, but he needs to prepare this in advance (most likely). And if he has done it, he did what a Trapper should do anyway, didnt he?
What needs fixing are the Exit Gate spawns and their Distance to each other and to the Hatch. A Killer should not be able to stand between them without any need to move to see them both. And it should also not be impossible for almost all of the Killers (except Billy) to not be able to patrol the Exit Gates.

"IT'S LATENCY" The devs said in a video, instead of dedicating resources in fixing the problem they give you a free lesson of vocabulary.
This stream was a bad Joke. It had something from people who think other people are too stupid to understand something and want to explain it. In a bad way.
Like, saying that 150 Ping is "pretty good" is simply wrong. The fact that not only the Ping from Person A to the Server is relevant, but also the Ping from Person B to the Server was completely ignored. Like, if you have 150 Ping as Survivor, this is not good. If the Killer has 150 Ping as well, this makes it even worse.
(even tho, I HIGHLY appreciate the Communication of the Devs and I am thankful for that. But this stream had a bad taste for me)

It's a shame the community wanted this so badly, and now we have it you all want it gone.
Do we not remember the issues that were rampant with p2p killer hosting?
The big problem is that Killers can still "cheat" with Dedicated Servers. You can only see your own Ping (which is around 35 for me, which is great), but you cannot see the Killers Ping. He can have the shittiest Internet Connection ever, but nobody knows. And the results are the same as with P2P. So Lagspikes are the same.
The Killer can even use a VPN to play with high Ping, which results in BS Hits (especially with Huntress).
And all what Dedicated Server did was break game mechanics.
Sometimes you dont get Hits with Plague even when it hits the Survivor Model AND they are doing the animation. Hag has problems on Dedicated Servers as well. The biggest Nerf for Nurse were Dedicated Servers.
Hits through Pallets and Windows are as common as Pallet Stuns which are nowhere near. And even when not getting Hit through a Window, the short delay after vaulting removes Momentum and a little bit of distance.
And dont let me start on Dead Hard (which basically is Press E-->Exhausted on the ground) or Grabs (got a clean grab with Pig today, but the game was "Nope". I didnt even get the M1-Hit...).
I guess if we do a Poll who wants P2P back, the Majority wants P2P. Especially because the Devs lied to us that this will be a Dedicated Servers Test, but they simply stayed, despite being bad. This btw. gets ignored by the Devs (am I right @Peanits and @Almo for example?), they act like the tests were over.
Considering they seem to test something like Crossplay OR it is enabled and some players (by accident) have access to it (and it would be something worth to announce for the new Roadmap), we need to endure those ######### servers.
If anything will kill this game, then its those Servers.
EDIT: Oh, and to this:
"It's a shame the community wanted this so badly, and now we have it you all want it gone."
Dedicated Servers which would ACTUALLY work (of course something like Lag Spikes cannot really be fixed, but Perks and Interactions can) would be an improvement. But I guess nobody really expected them to be this bad.
-
Getting two Iridescent Emblems. I dont know why, but I did not get this Challenge done the whole evening yesterday (even tho, it was not that much what I played). Got it today in my third game, and now I am getting two Iridescents nearly every game.
-
I dont use it anymore. DH was always better, because of the Flexibility. And now, if I want a Speed Boost, I would use Sprint Burst. Except for Lithe, BL is the worst Exhaustion Perk now, and I dont see any sense in using it.

Doesn't make it right, but they have said they are going to optimize latency a bit by doing the following:
https://i.gyazo.com/a1b27580bc6956a6614bc8d910f8189d.png
So that the survivor has a better visual of where the killer is and vice versa.
Found here: https://youtu.be/A8SwqJJKlaY?t=1155
Or, instead of trying to fix something which they are not able to fix, they can give up on Dedicated Servers. Its a mess. And calling 150 ms Ping good (what they did on the Stream) is also simply wrong. Especially when it is 150 ms Ping for Killer and Survivor.
-
Well, Dedicated Servers ruined Huntress. One of the most unfun Killers to go against currently, because of this #########.
-
Imagine thinking playing with a friend makes someone a good player.
If you are good at the game, you will give a Killer a harder time anyway. 4 Potatoes will not change the experience for the Killer, or at least only to a minor degree.
However, thinking about NOT having SWF is simply wrong. There is no way that an Multiplayer Online Game exists without the possibility to play with friends.
And well, the Horror Feeling goes away in DBD pretty fast, once you are used to the game, its gone, regardless if playing Solo or SWF.

Most survivors play as a 2 or more swf. I've said what I've said.
An assumption will not change my statement at all.
-
Leave Knockout as it is. It is kinda solid to slug people, when they are Solo and does not need a Buff. If they are on SWF - unlucky, but exactly nothing can be done then.
Buffing Knockout in any way would only hurt Solo Survivors. Sure, you can think about something like increased Recovery Time (to be a Counter to the faster Recovery by Unbreakable), but this would be bad game design, since it is "Pressing M1, even longer" again, which is the most unfun thing a Survivor can do.

+ if the perk usage stats suddenly showed that say DH was used in 80% of the red ranks and 45% of the game overall, then they'd have to nerf it.
Its more like:
If the result is not what people expect, they (the players) make up reasons why the stats are not valid. This happened two times in the past already. One time it was that it was not visible which Rank was used to get those Stats, when the next time the Rank was shown, it was not valid because all Platforms were mixed.
So if they would release Stats and Perks like Dead Hard or DS would not have such a high usage as people think they have (which will most likely be the case), there would be arguing on how the Stats are not valid. Maybe it was not full moon when they were taken. Or the person who gathered those stats did have the wrong color of underwear while collecting the stats. Who knows.
I am happy with BHVR not releasing stats. The people on this forum do not appreciate the work and it will only lead to discussions (where e.g. the Win Rate of every Killer is not relevant, but suddenly it is relevant, when Nurse is brought up) or to false assumptions.
-
Ok, lets make an example:
You help a friend with his Car. You break something in the car while repairing it so that your friend needs to get a new part for the Car. You feel sorry and want to help again, resulting in breaking the new part as well.
Do you think your friend would be happy about that? No.
And its the same with the Emblem System. If you do an unsafe Unhook, you will get a Penalty for that. You are not helping at this point, so you dont get any reward.
-
I think they rushed with re-implementing the DC Penalty. 5 minutes is too long (at least for the first time), considering that you play a game which is well known for its Bugs and crashes. Luckily they dont penalize Crashes while Loading, this is where I usually crash, if it happens at all.
But you know, when I hook someone as Nurse and they glitch out and are something between hooked and slugged (according to their Icon they were slugged, but they were at the hook in the Screaming animation) and I am unable to blink at this point, I have to DC. 5 minute wait time, because this game is broken.
Meanwhile, people can kill kill themselves on the first Hook or go afk as Killer. Yay.
-
Its not like Killers have it that bad as this forum wants to show it...
-
@Parallax said:
what's the difference between AFK wraith and any other killer who goes AFK?
You will most likely not depip vs any other Killer. But vs AFK-Wraith, it is 100% a Depip.
But to be honest, I should not need to run in front of a Killer for minutes to ensure some Points and my Blackpip.
-
Dedicated Servers.
-
Hooking = putting people on the Hook.
Sacrifice = hook Survivors the last time, can be done 4 times maximum per Trial.
So it is 100% possible to hook 6 Survivors. Can be everyone once and then two a second time, three Survivors two times each or two Survivors 3 times.
-
I dont think that Oni needs Nerfs. Power-wise he is completely fine, he has a really strong ability, but needs to charge it. If the Oni finds a really good Looper at the start, he is an M1-Killer. And if he does not get a Hit in, he will be an M1-Killer for quite a long time, until he eventually will get the Hit. Imagine a Trapper without Traps. Is not that impressive.
However, I think Oni is not well-designed, because he focusses on Slugging too much. Not as much as PTB-Oni, this was simply bad game design, because you were basically forced to slug. But even current Oni is probably too good at slugging, even tho, it is more balanced.
I think the problem here is Infectious Fright. This Perk is useless on most Killers, but way too good on some other Killers (Billy, Oni, Nurse, probably Plague...). I would rather look into Infectious Fright than into Oni.

Pretty sure person dcing doesn’t lose anything as well, it’s basically like the game never happened, so it’s basically just like a killer lobby dodge
At least when you crash in Loading Screen, you will lose your Offerings. So I assume that it would be the same when closing the game while loading, but I cannot say for 100%.
-
This is the same like Lobby-dodging Killers.
Nobody loses anything (except the person DCing) and everyone has to wait. Stop using Moris, then people might want to play with you.
-
What we need is the removal of Dedicated Servers. Like, what the Devs told us before - that it is a test. I know, they were lying about it, but come on...
Nearly everyone wants P2P back.
-
Sadly the Devs ignore it every time it is brought up. This Thread will also be ignored.
-
In general, yes.
But honestly, Dedicated Servers start to remove the Fun for me. I want to go back to P2P. At least I knew when the Killer had an unstable connection or if I will face a high Ping. Now I dont see it, I only see my own Ping (which is great), but dont know if I play vs a VPNing Huntress or somone who casually plays DBD while eating a Cheeseburger at McDonalds.
Like, there was a game a few minutes ago, got a Hit at a Window after all Gens were done, which was simply because of Dedicated Servers. Got sucked back, got hit, after a perfectly played fast vault. And after I got unhooked, I tried to escape, and my Dead Hard did not work. I got out, but more out of sheer luck, because the Killer did not pick me up.
I dont care if I escape or not, I am totally fine losing to a player, especially when he is better. But losing to Dedicated Servers takes a lot of fun out for me.
-
It all depends on how popular a Character is. Claudette is really popular, so she gets a lot of Cosmetics, same goes for Characters like Meg, Nea, Kate or Jane (last two I dont understand why you say they have a small amount of Cosmetics). If a Character is played a lot, there will be more Cosmetics.
There is a reason why Characters like Ace or Adam get less Cosmetics (even tho, both will get some in the near future). If you have 100 players and 2 of them would buy Adam-Cosmetics, but 15 of them would buy Claudette-Cosmetics, you create more Claudette-Cosmetics. Pretty easy.

"Unfun"!? That's absurd. The map is one of the better designed to be challenging and yet the most rewarding to get a 4k or to escape. With how the map is laid out, it is easy to outplay killers and get outplayed depending on the skill or knowledge of the map of each person in the game. It is honestly the most balanced map for all killers, taking all power advantages from nearly all killers.
Doctor and Ghostface are the ONLY killers to benefit from the map because of its size and layout. Yet I think I am the only person to bring the map offering for Gideon as the Doctor, and as Ghostface you have to worry about the open-area of the map and being revealed, but it does have the sight-blocking areas of the map to work as an advantage for you.
The Map is indeed unfun, for both Sides. It is quite decent for Totem Spots, but thats it. Almost every Pallet on The Game is safe. The area around the Bathroom features 4 ultra safe Pallets. And there is no variation in gameplay, you just run the safe Loops over and over again, until the Pallet gets dropped and the Killer has to kick it.
There is not really any potential to chain several structures to each other like on other Maps, and the potential to mindgame is limited as well. This makes it boring and pressing W is the only option.
Furthermore, with the Design it might take too much time to get around the Map, both as Survivor (when trying to save a Teammate) or as Killer, when trying ot get to a Gen to defend.

BBQ is harder imo, for wglf you have to get hit while the killer is carrying someone, thats not a tough job.
You just need to play the game for BBQ Stacks. It cannot be easier than that.
-
Even more BP? Not enough that Killers get more BPs than Survivors anyway (and have a realistic chance of getting 32k BPs) AND have better access to double BP because BBQ Stacks are easier to get than WGLF-Stacks?

Wow, that's honestly really surprising, I thought it would be more. Thanks for taking the time to make these stats.
Honestly, as long as you are not in a 4 man SWF, Object is not incredible useful. The lower the number of players playing together is, the less useful Object becomes (even tho, it is still useful as Solo).
I can only guess, but I would say that people find this Perk scummy. At least this is the reason why I would not use it.
-
Yeah, I am disappointed of breakable Walls. It sounds nice when I first read about it, but the implementation of them in the new Map is horrible. There is no strategic use at all, there is no reason to not break a Wall. Mindgaming Shack? Nah, just reduce the Shack Window and Shack Pallet to Hawkins Difficulty. Too hard to play a T/L-Wall? Just break the Wall, you have it easier now.
Really, fix those Maps. At least some Spots, some are simply obvious.
Put a Doorway next to the Ironworks Window.
Close the Back Window of Torment Creek every time.
Close the BS Window on Abattoir all the time.
Close the BS Window on Storehouse.
Those are 4 things which can be done in minutes without touching anything else on those Maps and this would have HUGE impact on the game. Like, other Maps need reworks too, Thompsons House, Blood Lodge, Grim Pantry, Asylum, Haddonfield, The Game... Those will probably take some more time, but those 4 things above are wished by almost everyone in this Community (minus those super entitled Survivors who think that it is skillful to run a Structure 3 times without the Killer having any chance to outplay them, regardless of how skilled the Killer player is).
But breakable Walls are a No No. They sound cool on Paper, but are simply braindead for Killers, removing Structures which are either strong or already mediocre, without any need of thinking about it. I really thought there would be some strategic use.
-
I mean, they should revert it, but I doubt that they did it secretly.

It is strange - yesterday I had Red Rank Killers and Survivors in nearly every game as Survivor. But the day before, I had 50% Green Rank Killers and when I had a Green Rank Killer, I had brown Rank Teammates.
Like, myself Rank 3, my Friend Rank 2, Killer Rank 11, Teammates another SWF with Rank 15 and Rank 19.
-
Grim Pantry is a BS Map for both sides. Not only for Killers.
As Survivor, you have the middle where NOTHING can be. Like, really NOTHING. And with the Speed Boost you get from the Hit, you basically need to B-line for the Window. Really fun gameplay. /s
Grim Pantry is one of the Maps which needs a Rework. And not just a band-aid fix with Breakable Walls, which should not exist in the first place (and hopefully the Devs will come back to Sanity on not adding the Breakable Walls as they are implemented currently).
-
While I agree that OoO needs to be changed, complaining about it being in the Shrine is high level BS.
Its random. Nothing can be done about this. Furthermore, the majority of people will have OoO, since DS is a Perk of Laurie as well and I guess a lot of people will have Laurie, especially since she/her Perks are out for so long, belong to one of the most popular Franchises and at least DS is a very good reason to buy the Chapter.
So I guess if you need to complain about OoO in the Shrine, you have it pretty good. If all people in this world would have this kind of problems, it would be a pretty ok world.
-
I am pretty sure the Killer had Knockout. When David got downed, his Aura was yellow, I think when you are slugged and someone else gets downed, their Aura will be Red. So you only saw them because you were downed, but not because they were downed.
So this means that your teammates were not able to see you.
Regarding David picking you up, he was running away from the Killer, could also have been that he genuinely wanted to help you. That the Pig hits you then is unfortunate.
In general, staying in that one spot is not the smartest idea, because you can at least assume that the Killer has Knockout and try to get to your teammates and not let them run full Map.

Oh please. It has nothing to do with Ruin. Gens go too fast now so the solution is to tunnel and camp? PLEASE. That gives everyone else time to get those gens done very quickly. Killers always tunneled and camped and they always will.
Exactly this. Killers played the same before the Ruin-Nerf, it is kinda cheap to blame the Devs for the ######### playstyle, lol.
@Topic:
Wise decision. Sadly DS is needed these days. If the Killer notices you dont have DS, you are practically dead.
-
If you are getting camped (by a Bubba for example), dont ######### on Hook. Give your Teammates time to do the Gens.
-
So, lets get the facts:
Playing Bubba, one of the weakest Killers in the game.
Playing two Add Ons, one which removes the one ability Bubba has, the other one giving a big downside for almost no benefit.
Using 4 Perks which are outright bad - one Perk that makes Tracking even harder, one Perk which is the Meme of this game since it was released, one perk which is pointless since everyone will stop healing when in Terror Radius and one Perk which makes the Terror Radius huge, resulting in a lot of Distance for Survivors.
So overall, a really bad build on a weak Killer.
Next fact:
He almost wins this game with 2 Gens done. Gets troube because of Unbreakable (I would not call this a mistake on his side).
Result:
4K, 31700 BPs, Double PIp.
Yeah, seems like Survivors are OP here. Proven once again, Killers cannot do anything. Like, everything under 8K is not acceptable.
Oh, and btw, just a fun fact: Killers say that they will slug more. And Survivors should adapt. They use Unbreakable and adapt. A shocker!
-
No Mither-->Yes. And more BPs (Boldness and Altruism)
Buckle Up-->I think the Recovery Progress should be baseline. Otherwise, buff this Perk in some way.
Whispers-->No. This would promote camping even more. Whispers is already a really strong Tracking Perk.

Toolboxes got a little bit better with gen speeds i’d say as you can’t have it the whole game and fix multiple gens with it. Sabotaging though...oh boy. I think it’s dumb survivors keep the item even if they completely use it but hey guess keeping a charge with an item was too hard for peeps. It’s an alright change, definitely not a huge buff or anything. I don’t really use toolboxes anyways but the sabo speed definitely needs to be looked at.
The keeping of the Item is not important at all. Like, any somewhat competent Survivor can keep the Item now, just with 1 Charge instead of 0 Charges. The difference is minor. Meanwhile, Survivors will lose their Add Ons, despite getting WAY less BPs than Killers and having a lot more different Items and Add Ons in their Bloodwebs. Dont think that anyone should complain that Survivors can keep their Item with 0 Charges.
@Topic: Keeping the Item when it is on 0 Charges is new and not limited to Toolboxes. In regards to Toolboxes, they are 100% nerfed on PTB.
