Pistons chugging doesn't mean a survivor is working on the gen. I shouldn't have to snug up to a wall or stand there for 3 seconds listening for a tiny bzzt from wires when the old sound game me instant information from quite far away.
I am using headphones. but i also like to keep my hearing and avoid tinnitus thanks.
Well, its up to you if you want to keep your volume low, but dont expect super-loud sounds just to help you. The current Gen Sounds are easily hearable.

When you have noed then you don't care and also when someone is cocky and want to piss you off well why not finish the person because I would do the same like I choose to get the cocky person first because that what they want.
Yeah, thats the problem with NOED. Why try to play good when you have your free Speed Boost and Instadown at the end?
In general, its always bad to follow the cocky person who wants to get chased. 100% there will be a weaker Survivor in the team.

I don't think I have ever seen a fog whisperer with TTV in their name...
Why should they need to use TTV in their name? People who use TTV in their name do it to attract viewers to their channels, a Fog Whisperer will not have to do it, since you need some viewers to become Fog Whisperer to begin with. TTVs are those people who sometimes stream for 0 people, so it is not different from playing a non-TTV-Player.
Let alone that most TTVs are no different from "normal" players. The only disgusting TTV-Streamer I have seen lately was a Killer. Really disgusting person, camping every Hook/tunneling off the unhooked Survivor as Deathslinger, calling every Survivor stupid and bitching in Endgame Chat when losing a game (with a different Killer). 1 Viewer.
But this is 1 person and the number of chill and nice TTVs I have seen was way bigger.

that's like telling a survivor to mute their sound
be realistic
Killers manage to moonwalk at Tiles. Should not be too hard to look away from a Gen when approaching it. (In fact, I know for sure it is not difficult)

I mean, of course you have to mention it was an SWF. This is of course a very important information, way more important than a Screenshot.../s
Because usually you should be able to pick her up, and if not, you would at least have a Screenshot to report in the Bug Reporting.

Maybe because it was an easy fix while they were making a pass on some perks? Who knows, maybe Iron Maiden is one of the perks that is getting updated as part of the perk updates.
Pretty much this. Sometimes stuff comes up which nobody knows about, most likely because the Devs found it.
With other Bugs, always a question if they are able to reproduce it. If not, it is pretty hard to fix. And I can understand that, most of the Bugs I read about are not present in my game, like I dont have big sound issues and I have never had the Hook Bug when playing Killer. Its not like one bug appears on every system.
And well, while it was a positive Bug, it is still a Bug. And you cannot just leave it in the game, because you never know what consequences it might have.

using it when a survivor throws a pallet mid-chase is near impossible. I have yet to see a survivor pallet stun me while I am sprinting. They usually just book it to the left or right, or behind an object. Even then they often time the pallet perfectly so it wouldn't help, and swinging pre-emptively doesn't just break the pallet, much like how you can still stun a bubba while he is using his chainsaw.
The Survivor would have just been able to wait at the Pallet and drop it while you are sprinting. No need for a Stun. This got removed, since now Blight would be able to break the Pallet when in Lethal Rush. It is not supposed to be a tool which helps him to break the Pallets faster.
And honestly, it was a change which was not even needed at all, since he is already strong. Not that he is OP with that, but asking for more basically immediatly is kinda lame.

So you're telling me the survivors are toxic, hah?
I mean, if anything it might speed up the process of getting Moris nerfed, if the Devs see that one guy is using 200 of them in a row.
(Ironically OP will get even less Rift Fragments then, because his games will end quicker than before)
-
Yeah, thats a mature reaction.
-
Why should it be faster? It is already a Buff. You are not supposed to use this ability to break the Pallets (you would need to slam before anyway), but it helps when a Survivor drops a Pallet while you are approaching, because before you would have to end your power, have the fatique and then you would be able to break the Pallet.
-
You can look for an external Hard Drive. It is not a problem to get one for <100 Euro, sometimes for around 80 Euro. 120 GB of space is really low.
EDIT: Or even lower prices, when looking at other posts.

Jeez how long was survelliance "bugged" for then... *bigthink* either way its really a case of the description then. If it only applys to opening the locker so why does it effect huntress reload speed? She has a addon for reloading the hatchets at a locker. (Im waiting for that to happen btw with this bugfix change)
To be fair, it would not make sense for Surveillance to give any information once the Gen reached 0, because a Gen on 0 cannot regress anymore. That it takes long to notice Bugs does not mean that they are not Bugs.
There where things in the past which were "good" Bugs, because they made Perks (or other stuff) stronger/better, but this does not change the fact that those are errors. And you would never know what those errors can cause in the future.

Already one of the perks which is rarely used then they do "bugfixes" that removes even more power from the perks.
A Bug is a Bug, even if it is a weak Perk which is bugged.

My point is that what if casual killers that are not ranked 1 like me get hit with this exact kind of scenario, they'll be thinking of how bullsh*t the survivor side is and would be creating a reddit post of a rant on how unfair the game is then taking a break/quitting the game.
Not that it is hard to get to Rank 1 as Killer tbh. You can be Rank 1 while playing completely casual, its not like you have to sweat your balls off (at least not on EU-Servers, I give you that, might be harder on Asia-Servers, I dont know about that one).
And well, instead of a Reddit-Post, you create a Post on the DBD-Forums where you complain about how unfair this is. You could have gone for Cheryl right away, but you decided to go for the one person who could have DS (probably because you want your Revenge? As written in Postgame Chat?... If thats the case, its up to you).
And its not like that this DS cost you the game.

And despite that you got a 3K.

You're probably confused me with seiko300 since this is my first post here.
But just in case you somehow didn't, I'll say that having low skill ceiling killers who are also good isn't a bad thing for DBD. Every killer wants to chill from time to time and just play a less taxing killer while also not getting stomped and freddy is perfect for that. Not every killer should require insane amount of perfect power usage to justify him being good. Freddy is stong and simple to play, nothing wrong with that.
Oh, yes, my bad, I just looked for the profile pic.
And I dont have a problem with simple Killers, in fact, most of them are simple. But it should not be completely braindead.

Wait, you're saying that clowns gas is weaker chase tool then snares ? Can you explain the reasoning behing it a bit please.
If you're anwer is something along the lines that freddy can spam snares while clown has to reload then the person using the botles isn't probably very good with them so that can't really be a reason behind it. I can't think of anything else that's better about the snares when compared to the gas.
"If you're anwer is something along the lines that freddy can spam snares while clown has to reload then the person using the botles isn't probably very good with them so that can't really be a reason behind it"
Well, this is in conflict with your first post here, where you said that it is wrong to call Freddy skillful. Clown at least has to hit with the Bottles (and aim with them), while Freddy can just spam Snares. Freddys Skill Ceiling is low, you can be as good with him with 100 hours like with the first game.
I think that Clowns Chase Tool is at least not stronger than Freddies Snares. They might even be weaker, at least for the reason that you actually can mess up with it - and lets be honest, nobody is perfect and even good Clown-Players will throw a Bottle into a slightly wrong direction.
But on top of the similar Chase Mechanic, Freddy gets a Teleport (which allows him to use Pop Goes the Braincell while Clown has to jiggle to the Gen), Oblivious and Slowdown Add-Ons.

"terrible rework"
He was the worst killer for over a year and everyone was knowing that and now he is in a pretty good spot, with reasonable counterplay.
He is literally M1 killer with a worse clown ability and the only thing he has going for him is oblivious debuff which can be played around and the teleport. Don't even dare compare him to Pyramid Head in terms of chasing LMAO.
How can someone be so biased to actually think that anything on Freddy is worse than anything on Clown? Clown basically lost his right to exist when Freddy got reworked.

Always a "fan" of those "How can the game be scarier?"-posts, which are just "Nerf Survivor"-Threads. You can use everything what was suggested here and the game will not be scarier.
Once you played a game for long enough, it will not be scary. Its simply not possible to keep the same level of fear it had when someone first started playing.
This is not really something that can be changed, once you get used to it, it does not become scary anymore.
-
It should not be revealed. They changed it a few months ago, before you would get notified by Special Attacks (e.g. Huntress Hatchets and NOED, you got the notification, but no Instadown), but it got changed.

Yeah, it was on the Live Version. But it was a bad Tile, overall.
I think it had spots where the Survivor was able to go on, but not the Killer.

Worst Map in my opinion. The gameplay is bad and visually it is just ugly. A creepy, snowy Lodge would have been great, but it looks not good at all.
-
I mean, you can accept that the other side played better.
Or, you blame it on bad luck or SWF.
-
For Killer, Hag. I just dont enjoy her gameplay at all. Sadly I do not have all Perks on her, but a lot of Cakes, so I guess I will need to play her eventually.
For Survivors, Jane and Nancy. Both are really ugly IMO and I cant stand looking at them (or hearing them, when it comes to Jane).

Try sneaking about more. If you don't trigger her traps, she is utterly useless.
If you trigger a trap, about half the time you can avoid her slash unless you are facing someone with 10ms ping and god tier twitch reflexes.
The thing is more that you either have to trigger Traps to rescue or to crouch to get someone unhooked. Depending where the Hook (and the Hag) is, it makes it impossible to save someone. E.g. Basement against Hag is basically Death. Because even if you crouch, she will have enough time to come back. And while Basement should be hard to save someone from, it should not be impossible.

Don't you have to be at full health for the 20% movement speed buff? That's personally the only reason I want to use it.
Yes, exactly. But what I said is that nobody understands why this is even the case. The Perk would not be too strong if you would have the benefit while being injured as well.

I was mainly talking about if there a hooked survivor and the killer camping if you could see who has bt then another survivor could act as bait while the person with bt has a strong motive to go for the unhook since he brought the perk.
Or if the killer runs away from the hook looking for another survivor. a survivor might notice that sombody brought we make it and will continue on a gen or ect. If they see the person with well make it are being chased or injured they might go for the save themselves.
Oh, I completely agree. Just wanted to say that the information we already have are sometimes not even used.
In general, I would say it is a good idea to have this, at least to close the Gap between SWF and Solos a little bit. But like I said in a different post, it will most likely never happen because then players might lobbydodge which results in longer wait times.

I think this is a really good idea it tells your teammates if your running solidarity or a loot build. It helps with hook saves if your running bt or well make telling other survivors who is the best option to go for the save. Finally it wouldn't mess up the balance of the game at all at least nothing that i could think of.
To be fair, It tells the unhooked Person that the Unhooker has e.g. We Will Make It already, but this does not prevent the unhooked Survivor to run to the other side of the Map.
-
I mean, the "Great game design" starts with the fact that Moris are still in the game, still OP and there are still Dailies with them.
-
If Hag would be as common as Spirit or Deathslinger, you would see the same complaints. Which are also reasonable. But luckily, Hag is also not fun to play for many people, so she is rare.
While the Killers you named dont have reasonable counterplay, I take those over a Hag every time. In fact, the counterplay against Hag is to have Urban Evasion or a Flashlight, which is eh. (And meanwhile, a Team with Flashlights and Urban Evasion could demolish a Hag simply because they have those Perks and Items... Hags Power is not really the pinnacle of game design)
-
@YaiPa said:
because the survivor role was designed with lack of information in mind, only after a while SWFs were enabled, completely destroying the original game idea...
As we know, SWF was planned from the start. Also "lack of information in mind"... Thats why there is a Chat in the Lobby before the game? Only because nobody writes into it at the start, does not mean that the Survivors should lack information. The possibility to share the Perks is present.
@Topic:
Most likely to avoid Lobbydodging. So the same reason why Ranks are not displayed anymore to the other Survivors, which was a case due to a Bug. I liked this feature, because I at least knew if I would need to be more optimal or not, if there was a Rank 16-David in my team.
And well, players might dodge Lobbies if they see that you have Self Care or WGLF without BT or stuff like that. Playing No Mither would probably be impossible as well.

Wow.
A streamer who plays the game as a job is saying that SWF isn't an issue. Who would have thought? I've went up against Umbra many times as a solo que survivor and pretty recently (around when Deathslinger came out after she was buffed) I went up against her when she was playing Plague and we managed to get a 4 man escape. I went to her stream a little later to see the VOD and she was sarcastically blaming the map saying that we got Gas Heaven even though we were all solo que and got a terrible gas heaven spawn with just 4 pallets in the middle of the map around the main building and a bunch of T and L walls with single pallet gyms. We only had one jungle gym besides the Shack and she was sarcastically saying that she was "Outplayed" because borrowed time is a "fair perk"
The point is, she's just as much of a complainer and that her being a streamer means literally nothing. She is in no means a bad player but that's all the more reason not to take her word for a SWF being completely fair and I say that as a survivor main who plays killer as well. I'm a Ghostface main and have been since his release at rank 1 so I know what it's like going up against a 4 man who all stick on gens in opposite sides of the map and there's nothing I can do about it as a mid tier killer without high mobility. I don't care if maps were reduced in size a while back. The fact is that if you aren't playing a high tier killer, you have almost no chance against teams like this and before you say that those kinds of SWF's are rare, that is simply wrong. Sure, not all SWF's are a Death Squad but most SWF's at Rank 1 are efficient on gens and there's nothing a killer who isn't Nurse, Spirit, Oni, Hag ETC can do about it. Perfect example was the BOTB tournament which was just a Nurse and Spirit simulator. When Freddy or Pyramid Head was chosen they lost almost every single one of their matches, the only Huntress got demolished. Need I say more?
Well, I watch Umbra a lot recently and even if she loses as Huntress (aka not getting a 4K), she blames it on herself. And, I dont know how exactly the Map looked, but 4 Pallets in the middle is pretty decent, considering most of the time it has a max of 2 Pallets or is simply full of Tank Tracks.
And regarding Streamers opinions - I already said it in another post, Killer-biased Streamers are praised here. Like the complaints would perfectly fit to some man who gets posted here a lot.
To your second paragraph:
Optimal SWFs are rare. And you would have the same behavior is those 4 players would not be in an SWF. Because someone does not suddenly know that they have to do Gens when not in Chase when they are not on Comms. And I dont play a Top Tier-Killer, most of the time I play Pig (which has a build-in Slowdown, to be fair). Would probably not work against some ultra-competitive Squad, but those are not common, so its fine for me. Its not as Killers have to only play Spirit or Nurse to have a chance in Red Ranks, because most Survivors are not good (same for Killers).
(And if I can be at Rank 1 every season, many more players will be able to do that, because I am not a good Killer)
The Tournament will not change my mind. I cannot take tournaments seriously in DBD, they are for showing off, but not any valuable since DBD Is not a tournament game at all, RNG is a huge factor. And I also dont like that this tournament is only used for one side, but it is ignored how scummy the Killers played, but this is apparently fine.
In the end, the discussion about SWF is pointless anyway. It will not go away. And it will always be used by bad Killers as an excuse why they lost.

I don't know what the original plans for SWF were, but the way it was implemented in the game didn't include voice chat, and I think it's the voice chat -- which is happening outside the game -- that makes SWF a problem for balance. I honestly don't think there would be any problem with four survivors who happen to know each other and have a plan ahead of time but can't actually communicate during the match.
The problem is that BHVR has allowed people to use 3rd party comms for so long, and it's become such an established part of the experience, that I don't see any realistic way to roll that back -- so now it's just part of the game, whether it was intended to be or not. That's why I think a more realistic solution is to limit SWF to two people in public matches, and let people shift their meme games over to KYF/Custom Game/whatever it's called nnow.
Rolling it back? Not needed. SWF does not make some potatoes godlike. If anything, SWF makes Potatoes more cocky, which is in general good for the Killer. But i can guarantee you that players lose against way less SWFs than they think and that they would lose against the same players if they are all Solo. Because, you dont need someone who tells you to do Gens to actually do them (as an example).
Also, Third Party Software in mind - 100% sure that they had it in mind. You cant program a videogame in 2016 without thinking that players will use Skype or TS (which were around for ages already at this point).
Regarding limiting SWFs - playing SWF should be made as easy as possible. If you make it harder for players to play together, they will leave the game, if they are casual. Sweaty groups would dodge Lobbies until they are together, while Casuals would not care and leave the game or play less at least.

? No? Killers have to sweat their balls off to win games while survivors have the ability to know what they need to do and when they need to do it because of a feature that wasn't even apart of the original game.
Here we go again:
SWF was always planned for the game. Yes, it was not a part when the game first launched, but only because they only had time to include one mode - either SWF or KYF. They went for KYF. SWF was not introduced because DBD got reviewbombed or Survivors complained. It was planned from the beginning.
And, lets face it - a game where people play online together in a team without an option to play with friends? In 2016? Come on.
Also, disagree that Killers have to sweat their balls off. Mine are fine.

Sometimes, but not always, Scratch Marks around Corners disappear. So the Corner itself does not have any Scratch Marks, but they continue afterwards. This happened on The Game and Lerys for me.

Because it is correct? I refuse to believe anyone playing this game at a "high level" doesn't recognize the fact that 3 gens can be done in ~80 seconds by a good team.
It is only a handful of band-aid perks, as well as incompetent survivors terrified to touch generators, that prevent that from happening.
I never (and I mean "never" as really never) had a game where Gens got done in 4 minutes (if the Killer was not afk). I know that a certain Streamer likes to upload videos about this when it happens in 1 out of 200 games and this forum goes ham. If you want to keep your evidence on this...yeah... pointless to discuss.

The clown doesn't have the DS bug. I have 0 empathy for survivors because gens can be done in 3-4~ minutes. On top of that, survivors can equip multiple extra lives (on top of the 3 they already have). Reeee my 4th life doesn't work in a game that's done in 4 minutes reeeee.
The Clown-thing happened before the DS-Bug.
The rest of your post is better left uncommented.

I love it. Nothing better than a braindead survivor running at you after being unhooked to trigger their crutch strike but it actually fails and they die horribly instead.
Yeah. Nothing better than trying to get away from a Hook when the Killer comes back and getting instantly hooked again because of my 0,3 seconds of Distance.
(Since a Clown once said that I was "abusing DS" because I ran away from the Hook when he came back, I dont take Killers who claim to not tunnel or stories about Survivors running at them not that seriously anymore)
But well, fixed later this weak. Then we can enjoy more Forum Threads from Killer Mains who 100% did not tunnel *wink wink*
-
Well, cant disagree on that one. Same goes for Killers where DS is currently bugged. Simply shows what will happen if it ever gets nerfed so that it does not make any difference if Killers tunnel or not. At least it is an evidence that KIllers wont be playing more nice when no DS is in play.
I did the challenge with my SWF-Mate, we made sure that the other person is using DS to create an Obsession, while one of us was using Aces "awesome" Perks (and I think my friend even used DS, while I went for Iron Will as 4th Perk).
It is sad that it is a must-Perk, but it is how it is.

I only used it when I did the Achievement for Self-Unhooks. Other than that, I prefer to get rescued by a teammate (and healed) and I always have the feeling to be on the hook first when using Deliverance.
