It looks better, but is still ugly as hell. Basically it looks like some form of damage control which results in something which seems rushed.
Things which are good:
HUD more in one area
Things bothering me:
Survivor portraits STILL vertical, does not look good overall. And IMO harder to get information from, I dont even know why BHVR insists of doing the portraits, Adept Pictures or the old system were fine.
Also, why is the power (or the Survivor Item) still so huge? This is basically the thing that is needed the least, like, I know that I am playing Trapper. As long as it is visible enough that a Power is on/off Cooldown (Spirit for example) or the amount of something is visible (aka Blight Rushs, Nurse Blinks, Huntress Hatchets), it is fine.

They smell less than the others. Take it or leave it.

I feel as tough it was more of a fair on each side map unless your using no power Oni or doc or wall hack Myers
The Game always started survivor-sided and became killer-sided the longer the match goes. This was always the case, gameplay on this Map is really boring on both sides.
And the Rework did not really change it, but I also dont think that it is a really survivor-sided Map. But they will probably remove some pallets at some point.
-
I hope they dont implement VR-Support ever. IMO DBD should not have been released on so many Consoles in the first place, so it is imagineable that they implement VR-Support, but I really hope they dont do that.
I also dont know how enjoyable it would be, you would either have to tie it to Killer-only or give first person to Survivors. This might sound like some fun, but the majority of time you stare into a Gen. And for Killer...Does not sound that enjoyable to get stunned by a Pallet in VR.
But yeah, VR-Support would probably the most unneccessary thing that they can bring to DBD, so I guess they are already working on it for a long time, lol.

What's worse about Hillbilly is that his animations have been bugged for quite some time and they didn't even address that in the rework. Right now playing Oni or Blight is just way more enjoyable and satisfying than dealing with the weird mess that is current Billy.
Thats the bigger issue with Hillbilly IMO. The Overheat does do next to nothing, Hillbilly did and does not need Add Ons to begin with. But those animations... They got better, but before the rework, his animations were so horrible, I stopped playing him at this point.

You still have hope for that? I love your optimism.
I mean, I also criticized them for the Halloween-"Event" in 2020, because it was even worse than 2019 and I always thought, it cannot be worse than that.
But yes, I have hope that the next Halloween-Event will be better and it would be just fair to see what they are doing.

They said they would focus on anniversary and Halloween events in future so think of these like mini events
^ this. It was announced before, so anyone who is complaining either did not see that or expected more than they should have expected.
Personally, I just wait until the Anniversary Event and especially the Halloween-Event, because those should be good, if BHVR steps back from any other Events.

Yes, I noticed crows sometimes do silent purr noises, like they do when someone hide in locker. But it was 20 seconds from match start, so it couldn't be an afk crows. So I wasn't distracted by them, but it probably should be addressed anyway. It doesn't seem right.
Yes, I noticed that as well that Crows often sound like AFK-Crows. Not distracting, but irritating, I always think there is a afk Survivor in a locker.

Nurse is from a older event.
Well, this does not look good indeed.
Maybe I just got lucky, it was the first evening. I will see how long it will take me to get one Toolbox and one Firecracker on every Survivor.
As Killer, so far I can burn an Offering every game (granted, I use BBQ as well, so I get a little bit more than one Bloodweb done after each game).

I don't know why you keep bringing up undyings new transfer mechanics or ruin, no ones talking about those in anything relevant to this conversation.
Inexperienced survivors need to learn the game, not have their hand held. I disagree with Lullaby needing a notification, you should notice your skill checks getting shorter and eventually quiet and put 2 and 2 together, not have the game do it for you. That's learning the game and part of being inexperienced.
Why did this happen? -checks end screen- oh that perk is why, next time I'll know and cleanse it. They don't need to be hand held. Or just research the perks on your own.
Well, I hope I never see a post from you about inexperienced Killers then, if you really think that players who are new to the game should not get assistance.
But whatever, I am fine to disagree.

There is something actually, in one of my discussions a mod replied to me that it will come in the next rift, but they don't know why it was delayed again.
Ok, I did not know about that one. Seems odd then, but hopefully it is released in the next Rift then. At least it should be out before the next Contest starts.

Wouldn’t be surprised if they scrap it. Even if they made it perfectly like the art people wouldn’t like it
Yeah, probably some people will not like it anyway. But I doubt they will scrap it, in the end, it is a winning cosmetic of a Contest.

Imo killer perks shouldn't be giving survivors free info such as "hey there's a totem here and also just so you know your aura is revealed and the killer most likely has 2 hexes so get to looking."
Its just worsens the already existing "hexes don't last" problem. Now the survivors know there's a hex (most likely 2) just for existing around a dull totem.
Why tho?
Also if someone wants to run those 3 hexes they should be able to without the build countering itself when hexes are already not in a great spot.
Undying counters itself as well by just letting them cleanse the dull totems that are supposed to give the killer aura reading by notifying them its there and to be on the lookout going forward for other dulls.
The thing is - the most common used Hex is still Ruin. I can figure out that the Killer has Ruin in a few seconds. And if the first Totem is cleansed, I know that Ruin is still in play. And at this point, it does not matter if the Killer had Undying or any other Hex-Perk. The only thing that is different is that for the Killer, it is a 0% Chance that Ruin gets cleansed first instead of 50%.
But for the Survivors, it does not really change anything. And personally, I dont care that much about the Aura Reading of Undying, it just exists to give the Perk an effect when using only Undying.
When it comes to Notifactions tho, I could totally go with Undying not revealing itself, would be fine by me. Lullaby however (what you also mentioned) should always be revealed. For experienced Survivors, it does not matter, they will know once 1 Token is on Lullaby, that Lullaby is in play. But inexperienced Survivors need to know why their Skill Checks get more difficult and more important, they need the Hex-Notification to know what to do about it.
-
To be fair, they said "in a future Rift" and not "in the next Rift". But would be nice if they add it to a Rift before they start the next Contest.
-
@MrPenguin said:
Hex Undying: Once per survivor, reveal that a dull totem is nearby to that survivor.
They just need to remove the free info survivors get from all hexes please. If you want to show them "exposed" fine but you don't need to specify its from this or that perk, they should figure that out on their own. Things like Lullaby and Undying don't need to announce their presence.
Out of interest, what is the problem if a Dull Totem gets revealed to a Survivor? Obviously, if you run NOED, this would be a problem, but someone who runs NOED on top of Undying+another Hex (aka lots of Perks that can be disabled) has other problems already.
But if Survivors see a Dull Totem or get notified by it, they might cleanse it, so they will spend less time on a Gen.
And that you know that Undying is active is not really relevant IMO, since there is no difference between Undying + a Hex and two Hexes, except that Undying will be cleansed first 100% of the time.

They event offerings seem to be pretty scarce. In 2 survivor bloodwebs i haven´t found a single offering. While the killer bloodwebs only contained 1 per web.
Older events had up to 6 event things per web.
1 Offering per Killer Bloodweb was pretty rare for me, most of mine have 2 Offerings, biggest I have seen was 4 (3 normal, 1 in a brown Box). For Survivor, I either get near to none or many. E.g. I got 2 on Dwight and 12 on Meg, with the same number of Bloodwebs.
-
@GraveHunter said:
The event gens used to offer 4500 points, but they nerfed it for undisclosed reasons.
To be fair, now every Gen is an Event Gen and gives at least 1k BPs when completed without an Offering. If you use an Offering, it is 3k BPs per Gen.
Before, the Offerings also increased the numbers of Event Gens, meaning if only you burn an Offering, there will only be two Gens aka only two Gens for Bonus BPs.
So overall, the event grants more BPs than the previous ones. And since BHVR announced that they will not do large Events anymore, except for Anniversary and Halloween, I did not expect more than that.
-
Nothing so far. It should have been released in the same Rift like "Never stop slashing" for Legion, but the Devs have withdrawn it because they wanted to work on it.
It should be released with a future Rift, but no info on that so far.
-
Hitboxes are wonky on both sides, but Survivors suffer more from it currently.
We can just hope for a fix as soon as possible.

Seems i misheard what they said.. they said the ui is independent of screen resolution.
getting tired of survivors being able to see me when they shouldn't :'{
Also really really bad when nurses use it.
Ok, thought so. Like I said, never heard it before.
Personally, I do not care about Stretched Resolution because of two things:
First, it is impossible to prove, unless they are a Streamer.
And second, I expect that it will take a very, very, very long time until the Devs do something about it. I mean, you even get an advantage when playing on low settings. And because this is part of the game, I cannot really imagine that something against Stretched Resolution will happen at any point in the near future.
-
Rework:
Legion-->Legion cannot be a strong Killer while they have the ability to vault Pallets and Windows. This needs to go to make them a strong Killer.
Hag-->Terrible design, Hag should not get destroyed by Urban Evasion and multiple Flashlights, on the other hand, Survivors should not be screwed when not having any of them. Make her more useful in Chases but less oppressive with her camping. Especially in Basement you are basically dead against a Hag, unless she is playing really nice.
Nurse-->Failed design, the only thing that "balances" her is that she is hard to learn and players dont bother to learn her, since there are enough alternatives. If every Killer player would have the patience to learn her, she would need to be nerfed into the ground. Complete Rework would be needed.
Number 2 will probably not happen since Hag is not popular, which is the only reason you dont see many complaints.
Number 3 will not happen at all, because it would remove the unique aspects of Nurse.

If someone has problems with Iron Will, they can run Stridor. EZ Counter.
-
They could have heard that 4 weeks ago. But 4 weeks ago they did not want to hear any feedback.
Proposal: Get rid of PTBs. They are not for feedback, BHVR does not care for PTB-Feedback. They are just there to show new content and build up a hype.
EDIT: But, since I also agree with the person who posted after me - I am quite happy that we got some notice.

Why are balance decisions unique? Yes, many people on the forum get very tribal and hate anything that might shift the power balance towards the other side. Many people also don't like change, though, regardless of whether it's good or bad. The old HUD will always be better to them because it's what they're used to. Meanwhile, I guarantee you new players or people who aren't as resistant to change won't load into their first 4.5.0 and say "oh wow, this HUD is awful!" They'll just accept it and play the game, because it's really not that bad.
The way I see it, it gives more information than the old HUD, it looks reasonably nice, and I love the UI scaling option (I use 85% - I think it looks a lot better). They now have an injured "slash" icon so the early complaints about colorblind accessibility have been addressed. I'm not sure what the issue is.
Sorry, the new HUD is objectively bad. A HUD should give information easily. Either because you have EVERYTHING at the same place or that you have things a little bit spread out, but need to look at some things only during certain situations.
This does not apply to the new HUD. Everything is all over the place. This might work on a Switch in Handheld-Mode or in a mobile game, but not when playing on a PC. I only have a 24 inch-Monitor, but I already have problems with eyestrain. People who play on larger Monitors or let alone a TV will have even bigger problems.
Its fine if you like it. That does not mean that the HUD is good.

People didnt ask for that change, you are right. But they kept asking for things that might make this change nessessary. A LOT of people want to buff solo survivors to swf level informationwise. So the hud needed to change. Maybe not in the way they choose, but you cant display additional information by leaving everything like it was.
It is just that people dont know what it takes to deliver the things they demand. More information, but dont change the ui? show me how its done.
Then it would be a big communication-problem. Because from what they added, they would not need to change anything from the old UI.
If they have things which make it 100% mandatory to change the HUD, they should show them. But currently, we only have a lie from the Devs - either they are lying that they want to have feedback from the community when it is live or they are lying that they cannot change it back.
EDIT: In general, if you want to change something you show all the cool stuff you want to add. And not just a re-distribution of the already existing content.

Yeah but that’s the thing, sure, people didn’t ask for the new HUD and they don’t like it but it’s THEIR game. They make the final decision not us. We’re not their parents, they don’t need to be asking us for permission for every little thing. You can’t get upset over things like this when there are games that do things much worse than this. I’ll compare DBD to my 2nd favorite game, Mortal Kombat 11. Boy, oh boy was I pissed when I found out they randomly nerfed my favorite character mileena when she needed buffs and no one complained about her. Mind you, there’s no PTB for this and this was set in stone without warning. People are just ungrateful and that’s matter of the fact.
Yeah, it is THEIR game but the players fill THEIR pockets. DBD is the first game ever which managed to give me a headache yesterday evening with the new UI. I will 100% play less, because I simply cannot stand to sit in front of the PC feeling sick just because I am playing a game which I actually like a lot.
And the big thing is, DBD has no real competition, so saying that other games do worse does not really make sense. What do I care if a Figher game does something worse when the only Asymmetrical Multiplayer Horrorgame does something?
And since you mention a PTB - what was the PTB for? Obviously not for feedback, it was to hype the new content. There is no point for the PTB if the Devs ignore the feedback after 90% said that they hate the new UI.
-
It should give the Killer positive feedback. With the old and good UI, the Killer has only seen the number of Gens going down, but now they see a number going up if they play well.
However, it would make more sense to count Hooks instead of Hook Stages, because currently, a person killing themselves on their first Hook grants 3 points, but for the emblems, it will only count 1 point (because you only got one hook).

this rage happens with literally every single update. it's common place now
Its different tho.
Most of the time, discussions come up with Balance Decisions. And this is just logical, the side which gets nerfed wants not to be weaker while the other side is fine with it and vice-versa.
However, when you have something which is not a Balance Decision and there is that much negative feedback, Devs should hear the alarm bells.
-
Ok, to make it clear:
Devs changed something which nobody asked about. They bring a PTB for Feedback. 90% dont like it. They STILL bring it to live.
Explanation: They want to see what Console players think so that everyone can test out the new UI. Meanwhile: They say that there is no going back.
And you really cannot get why the Community is pissed?
This is basically: We change something. You dont like it, we still change it. We pretend that we listen for the feedback later, but in fact, we cannot do anything about it anyway.
-
What does it have to do with SWF when your Hex gets broken in 23 seconds? This means that one Survivor did spawn on your Totem, this could also happen against 4 Solos.
-
They can add other things to idle animations:
Nail-biting (like Dwight does in the lobby), looking left and right (not as fast as currently, more slowly), grabbing arms (like Cheryl does, this has a look of feeling uncomfortable).
Currently the idle animations look really creepy when the first thing you see loading in is your character staring at you.
-
Ok, probably a long post - I hope someone cares to read it. (TL; DR at the end)
First of all, I want to say that I am REALLY disappointed from the Devs. Usually I am very supportive, but this time, I cannot really bring myself to saying something positive.
Almost all of the time Devs receive backlash for their decisions and I was always happy that they pushed it through. Because most of the times, those were balance discussions and it is quite clear that the side which will get the Nerf will be against it while the side which will not be nerfed will not care/be supportive and vice-versa.
But the new HUD is not a Balance-thing - 90% of the community were against it. And I opened a thread a few weeks ago:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/221189/we-will-be-addressing-colorblindness-concerns-with-the-new-hud-by-the-mid-chapter-release/p1
, where I already said how disappointed I am.
Because, lets face it: The Devs changed something NOBODY asked for, opened a PTB to get Feedback for it, 90% said that it is bad and the Devs STILL push it to live. This is like a big middle finger, a big ######### you from the Devs. If you dont care for our feedback, dont ask for it. I spent some time discussing in Threads about the new HUD, so did others. If you dont care for that, dont waste anybodys time if you just want to go thorugh with that anyway.
Now, to the HUD:
It looks horrible. Really. I want to point out that after the first game, I already had a light headache. This stayed for the whole evening and after a few games I also noticed that I was straining my eyes. I have 5500 hours in DBD this NEVER happened before. It did also not happen in ANY other game I played, whether I needed to focus on something, whether I needed to have good reactions or whether many things are going on or with flashy lights.
So it is quite impressive that you managed to give me an uncomfortable feeling with the new HUD, this is something new for me.
Now, to the HUD itself:
It is too spread out. Many people have said this. This causes the eyestrain. I only played Survivor yesterday evening, but I can imagine it will be even worse as Killer. It is hard to notice players getting injured, so I dont have that many information what is going on. Usually, when someone gets injured, I know that someone else is in a chase, but now it is harder to get this information.
If you want to make the HUD smaller, it becomes really hard to read on the top left, but if you keep it at 100% (what I need to do to get at least some information from the top left), the Perks on the bottom right are really big.
Something unique: Leave-Button when spectating is on the top left (!!!). Who thought about this? I have never seen a "Leave"-Button on the top left - I mean, it does not bother me that much, but whenever I saw a Leave-BUtton it is either on the bottom or on the center with all other Buttons, but why on the Top Left? My friend thought it got removed, because he was not able to find it, because nobody would look at the top left for it.
Also, it just looks like a mobilegame. Really, did you want it to look that bad? What was the plan? There are mobile games which look less like a mobile game than DBD currently. So this goes totally against the wish to make DBD look more realistic and scary, what you want to do with the Map Reworks.
But the worst thing, as I said, is how spread out it is. You either dont look at it or get a headache. And I only have a 24 inch-monitor, someone with a bigger monitor or simply on console with a TV will have even more trouble. It looks like it was designed to work for the Switch while in Handheld-Mode.
Was this done all by the UI-Team? If yes, maybe those people should consider something else.
Was this decided by someone who does not specialize on UI and the UI-Team just did the execution? If that is the case, let people who know about it do it and dont decide something for others.
I cannot really imagine that anyone of the Dev-Team said that "Woah, this looks great! People will love it!". And I dont want to be mean on purpose, but I cannot really put it more nice, because anyone who has some experience in Onlinegames knows that this HUD is bad. You dont even need to know anything about DBD to know that it is bad.
Then there is this:
Of course you can go back! Nobody does delete previous patches, I am pretty sure that you would be able to go back to 4.4.2 with another Patch and implement other changes (aside from UI and Animations) like the Clown-Buff, Perk-Changes and so on. You just have to WANT it, and please dont be stubborn about it.
Now to animations:
Like I said in a post a few weeks ago, most of them look good. I like the walking animations (both injured and healthy), I like the animations when picking up and getting picked up.
But the running animations (and this is what you are doing most of the time) dont look good. The healthy animation looks okish, just like they are going for a little jog, no fear or that they are even in a hurry, so you want to have more of that. The people are running for their lives. The injured animation while running just looks bad.
Also the idle animation is just creepy. The nodding animation is comically bad.
Overall, I dont think that many people would have a problem with those animations be trashed and a return to the old animations. But with the animations I at least have some hope to get used to them.
EDIT: Also to add: Some Hits just connect from distances which are horrible. You cannot even try for a Pallet Stun because you will get hit, most of the time without an option to throw the Pallet. This is probably caused by the changes to movement.
But my main point is the HUD. I can see myself spending less time in DBD. I am not saying that I will uninstall, I love this game, it is a lot of fun. But if I get sick because of playing it, I cannot enjoy it as much as I wPould want to.
So please, revert the HUD and the animations. At the very least, the HUD should be reverted. You cannot have any plans which justify such a bad design.
Points for improvement:
Like I said, the best thing would be to revert the HUD. If you dont want to do that, at least put the information on the same place as before. Everything in the bottom left was GREAT. You only had to look at one portion of the screen. And this is easily done with the features you have added. There is no problem at all.
When it comes to animations, those should feel more like the Survivors are actually scared and want to run for their lives. Not for a little bit of fitness. Idle animations straight up are ok, but not just standing there in a creepy way. Maybe add some animations which show that they are uncomfortable, looking left and right, maybe touching their arms like they are freezing, biting their nails. If the Survivors stand, they should feel uncomfortable, because they dont know what to do or where the Killer might be.
TL;DR:
Biggest problem HUD-->Too spread out, causes headache and eyestrain, not as informative as old HUD (AKA overall huge step back)
Biggest problem animations-->Not natural, not "horror-like", sometimes comically bad, especially idle animation and injured running
Biggest problem communication-->Devs change something nobody asked for, put it in PTB, ask for Feedback, 90% dont like it, Devs go still through with it.
Also: Devs said that there is no "going back"-->Very sure they can revert it, nobody deletes old Patches.

Same. I played one match with Plague and was immediately overwhelmed by the new HUD. Guess I was getting more sick than the survivors were.
I mean, it speaks for itself that I never had problems in any game with that. Neither in my almost 5500 hours on DBD or in any other game, and I played many different games with focus on some areas, flashling lights, etc...
But the new UI is really giving me a slight headache and I feel that I strain my eyes a lot more. Would never imagined that DBD can have something new for me...
-
Yep, its #########. I would be happy to use a more positive word, but not possible.
-
To be fair, I played one match with the new HUD and I already have a light Headache. Sorry if I dont want to get sick while playing a videogame.
-
Yes, it should. They are too rare to just throw them in as a guess. A friend of mine used all his Sacrificial Wards on a Survivor (was like 6 or 7), no Map Offering was used. After he ran out, a Map Offering was used - yay.
Apart from that, if multiple Map Offerings are used, the ones which are overwritten should not be burned. Aka if the Killer burns Lerys and the Survivor burns Autohaven and it turns out to be Autohaven, the Killer should keep his Lerys Offering. Same the other way around. This would especially useful for certain builds because the most restricting thing on those is the Map Offering.
But for Sacrificial Ward - big yes, no reason to use this Offering up if no Map Offering is burned.
-
I think it looks good. Not as good as the black Skin for Demo, but if I would not have the Black-Skin already, I would at least consider getting this one.
-
Devs are smart, they thought that giving us wiggling boobs will calm the negative feedback regarding the new HUD.
But I am strong! >:(
-
Neither. It is a Multiplayer Onlinegame not a Slaughter-Simulator where you kill 4 Bots or a Escape-Simulator where you escape a Bot.
Both sides being played by actual humans means that both sides should have the same chance to win. And while DBD can never be completely balanced, the game is not as unbalanced as some people want to claim it.
The Killrates show it that Killers dont have a bad time. I am not saying that the Killrates mean that much, but you dont get Killrates above 60 or even 70% when Killers would struggle that much. And yes, it is altered a little bit by first Hook Suicides, but people who say that the Killrates get inflated by those will hopefully not believe what they are saying themselves.
Also, I think it is totally fine that Killer is the harder role. This does not mean that playing Killer is difficult at all, but it is logical that the side where 1 player is playing against 4 players will be the role which is harder. And it has to be that way, if Killer would be the easier role, there would be exactly no reason to play Survivor when you:
- get more BPs as Killer
- have an easier time as Killer
- get more variety as Killer
But yeah, overall, the game should neither be killer- nor survivor-sided.

I would like to see the references of the people who designed it, just to see if they did something similar already. I just want to get to know the people who created this HUD and were like "Damn, this looks good!".

How is it fair that a killer plays super well and the survivors make mistake after mistake but are still able to escape with with a key. This is something from the Devs that do not believe.
In all the games I have played yesterday (roughly around 10, I guess), neither of them was a Key escape. So what makes you think that your data is valuable? Those are a few games, same for mine.
Let alone, whenever the Devs post Data, people claim that those stats are fake.

I'm going to miss being able to tell who is injured or not and who is my obsession.
Apparently however the designers of the UI figured that this was not useful information for us to know.
Yeah, who needs that anyway?
I really loved it that on the PTB I did not notice that all 3 of my teammates were injured at some point.

I mean, today will most likely be a Patch, so MAYBE it will be fixed in it.

Voice Acting sounds nice on paper, but if you have a few hours, you would just get annoyed by it. I would not play this game if my Character would speak the same 3 lines over and over again.

I imagine it will be something small. Like people told them mori's should just work on death hook for years and years and they said it was much more complicated than that; and years later that is all they ended up doing. One small simple obvious as hell change took years for some insane reason we may never know..
I think it will be the same with keys. It will be something like "Keys now only open hatch when all the generators have been completed" or something basic like that. You can't skip objectives anymore, but keys are still a powerful way to skip the gate phase and get you out easier. Maybe also a change to purple keys or something so they only open a hatch once one of the gates is opened.
Then given the low chance of keys being used on a hatch as well, they might buff them actually in that sense and let all keys see hatch aura or something within 8 meters or less or apply the hatch sound even when it's closed when they have a key or something along those lines.
(Bhvr loves stat based adjustments...)
I guess it will at least include an animation for opening the Hatch, which would partially explain why it takes longer. They would need to do animations for opening the Hatch and for interrupting the Survivor Animation. So I guess, overall the change will be more complex.
If I had to guess, it will be opening animation, removal of Add Ons which let Survivors keep Keys after opening/dying and probably Add On-Rework.
They also said that they want to revisit Moris, so looks like the current version is just a band-aid until they made something different (for me personally, I dont need Moris to be stronger. I like to see the animation exactly once and then I dont care about Moris anymore since the Nerf).

I mean it's absolutely oppressive; but there is annoying and there is griefing (Holding hostage) which is reportable.
I am just saying it's not really at that level generally outside of some incredibly extreme scenarios possibly, but you would need a mod to know more on that for sure I can only share my opinion and what I've seen them state before.
To be fair, the case I had, was really extreme. I have never had that before that really over 20 minutes nothing happened except for running to the Gens-->Killer chases someone away-->Killer abandons chase.
So if that happens, it is at least really, really rare. And I guess it totally depends on the situation, which is why video footage is important for that kind of stuff.

At that point the killer is not advancing their objective either. I can't see how this is different than the survivors hiding.
I have read in one post that this indeed can be seen as holding the game hostage if the Killer is only defending those three Gens without any attempt to commit to a chase for a longer period of time.
Had a similar game like that at some point, the Killer did not commit to a chase for over 20 minutes. At this point I just wanted to get killed, but he even refused to do that, I had to get grabbed from a Gen so that he hooks me. And I am pretty sure that he did not progress the game afterwards as well.
There is no real difference between hiding and refusing to commit to a chase in that situation. One side has to commit to a move to progress in the game.

Bubba, clean and simple getting rid of the Blood. Also I like the sound when he hits a Survivor.
Deathslinger is cool as well, but mostly because the weapon looks great.

I really doubt the next chapter is licensed, let alone resident evil and let alone yet again lady dimitrescu. I would love to see a resident evil chapter though but I don't think it would be her. Would be cool but very unlikely. Game isn't even released.
Exactly. I cannot see any reason why Capcom should give the license for one of their Characters already. This would mean BHVR was already working on it for quite a while and even IF Capcom wants to give the license to another company, this would happen long after Resident Evil Village was released. All of the stagetime for this game should focus on itself and not on other games using the Characters.
I can imagine a Resident Evil-Chapter in general tho. But not with content from the most recent game.
And when it comes to Chapters, Chapter 19 will probably be original and Chapter 20 (Anniversary) has a higher chance of being licensed.
