  • Ok Franklin's is not a useless perk.

It depends on the map imo.

Sometimes you just end up losing the item overall.

I think Keys are okay because sometimes survivors get gate placements really close to one another.

I've had games as huntress where I would sit on a hill and look at both gates with a hatchet wound up.

I've had games as Demogorgon and Trapper where I place portals/traps at the gates and just wait at the other.

I run whispers a lot so I know which gate survivors are going for.

Franklin's Demise is a great perk for halting the use of items in times where you need them the most. To say it's a useless perk is pretty ignorant. It's like you're saying its about as useful as monstrous shrine.

  • Just use Franklin's demise lmao

  • My only quirk is perks like Insidious which promotes Camping.

It should be reworked to grant undetectable for a short period of time, not stand still in a corner and stare at a hooked survivor.

Insidious is perfect in mid ranks to gray ranks. Red ranks and purple not so much, but it's still a dumb thing when you Solo Q.

  • Quoting Peanits, One is an easy fix, the other, not so much.

The basement hook bug was the worst thing possible because it rendered you useless on quite possibly your first hook.

I saw a surge of ppl using agitation and iron grasp so they can get you in the basement jfc.

It's not a favoritism thing, that's so childish to say. This is fixing a game breaking bug that ends games faster than survivors do gens without ruin.

For me it got so bad at one point that we had a killer put 3 people in basement. He was running insidious, agi, and IG against a solo Q team lol

  • I didnt have any issues playing Oni on xbox.

If it takes you too long to chase survivors to get his power try some mind games, It should help.

Also, if you have any hexes dont make them a crutch and constantly guard them. Doing that shows how much you rely on them and survivors can keep you there while they do gens if you're not careful.

  • If you're saying Freddy has problems with looping then you're playing him wrong :)

  • I'm often thrown off by people's english. Mainly because it's a hard language to learn, so they make odd mistakes here and there which is fine.

When you say "High Ranks" Do you mean the high ranks of DBD as in 1-5?

Or do you mean high ranks as in 16-20?

Judging from your story, your games are all (By DBD numbers) mid rank games. Sure, you can have a few red ranked survivors here and there... Point is, the Mid Rank hell is filled with people who DC because they wanna stomp the opposition, not the other way around.

  • Odd way to say that all killers will be nerfed.

While true, they should not have said that... you didn't seem to be playing that well to begin with. It doesn't seem to have been a fast game either, since the remaining survivors are near 30k score. The DCs came at endgame, and only one of them is inexplicable. Could have been him lagging out for all we know, it happens.

The only Scummy one was the one who intentionally DCd bc you waited out his DS. But I don't think this is a good jab at survivors for 1 intentional DC and some BM post-game. This game lacks so much info that this is more of a rant about killers being nerfed rather than this particular group of survivors are mean or DCd.

Also proxy camping hooks smh smh

  • Pointing fingers at survivors for DCs is not making a good argument.

Killers and Survivors do it alike. Its frustrating for survivors too when they are doing extremely well against a killer for the killer to DC later and come short off a pip.

  • I didn't know what the terror radius was and how it got louder the more a killer was closer

  • Tbh Hawkins isn't exactly filled with bad pallets. Sure it probably has more bad pallets than good ones, but you can still make out decent loops here and there.

I run balanced landing for Hawkins whenever one of my friends feel like going there. Even if you can't tell when you're getting the map, the perk is still quite excellent for making loops where you normally can't without it.

  • I think stridor counters IW a lot.

Though the perk is already underrated imo

  • Top meta killers.

    1.Spireh

    2.Spireh

    3.Spireh

    4.Huntress

    5.Spireh

    6.Freddy??

  • Personally my quirk with spirit is that mind gaming in loops is sometimes near impossible.

I run Iron Will a lot, since it helps me with not just Spirit. But it's so easy for spirit to mindgame loops and jungle gyms because all she has to do is simply bump into you. This results in me often abandoning a loop or pallet because of the collision between you and a phasing spirit (which shouldn't be like this).

Someone once told me her hair stands up frozen when she's phasing? I cant confirm that as I usually dont pay attention to that at all closely and it looks the same. Beads is about as broken as you can expect it to be. Gen grab spirit will always be broken. It's the same concept as an instant heal but for killer.

I think a decent nerf to that would be to have the spirit be revealed when she's in a 2-5 meter radius from you. Dunno

  • You should probably look behind you some more if you're getting chased :p

Idk tho, I think for xbox it is? Since we run on a version of the game that is behind PC

  • I also find Spirit to be really creepy.

Hag is eh, she looks like she'd go down from a kick from me.

  • Um heck yeah

    I would totally play patrick

  • Some people are saying it would be unfair for the killer to not finish his pick up animation. I dont really disagree or agree with this as it's pretty much delaying the inevitable? Because of the iframes some people often mistime their pallet stuns, and new people struggle with this the most.

  • The rift pays for itself once you buy it and get all levels by playing.

That's 1k auric cells you get from the rift pass!!

  • I like Susie a lot because of her clothing is very appealing. Also gives off a shy girl vibe which is true to her lore. ( just watch her idle animations in menu.)

I also sympathize with her, she was mostly coerced into killing someone. Imagine her a survivor though? I don't think I'd play as anyone else but her, Kate, and Dwight.

  • Well coordinated survivors are strong enough already. However this is true for most killers that you are most likely not gonna get a 4k against a team that is so well coordinated.

Where are killer mains setting the bar for what's good and what isn't? Is the capability to get a 4k? Old nurse was able to do that nearly every game played.

I take Legion to red ranks all the time. I get 4ks all the time as well. Does this mean Legion strong? Because you have people here saying that "would you take Legion to red ranks? Heck no". I don't understand where that's coming from good sir... that is Legionist.

  • The rift pass can pretty much pay for itself if you buy it once.

There's enough auric cells to get the next rift pasd

Except everything you said is completely wrong and doesn't apply to the systems in place that already do what you insist they can not. No coding hell or convoluted math needed.

Word & Thought salad with Rambling toppings doesn't change that fact.

You don't punish people for playing with their friends, you do however adjust their efficiency to create a fair game when playing with their friends hinders that.

Offering Red Herring to go with your salad is a terrible choice for your Argument Du Jour.

    Thanks for playing.

    No coding or math needed?

Now this is just overkill monsieur.

I believe the salad needs sel... not sucre.

Either way, you know that isn't true at all.

  • DS is such a meta perk it won't take long for another obsession to appear tbh.

I agree. Though doesnt dying light work for people other than obsession? I think I missed a patch? Someone explain?

Apparently English comprehension is difficult for you. Let me try again.

Apply a negative repair speed debuff to those in a swf group. That means the gens and ungrouped people remain the same but those in a group repair with a debuff, sort of like being affected by Thanatophobia.

The game tracks the current obsession and applies buffs or debuffs specific to them and they can interact with the same gen or hurt survivor as those without the buff or debuff. Like Dying Light where they get an altruism buff yet can still help heal with another survivor!

The game also keeps track of who is grouped and who isn't which is why you can have 3 rank 20s and a rank 1 survivor face a rank 1 killer.

If you are going to insinuate someone doesn't understand something be sure you have a clue about what you are talking about yourself. Don't bother stating that you misunderstood, because it's not true. What you did was look to defend SWF being unhindered and started writing before you even considered what I said. It's typical of those trying to reverse engineer an excuse to shield themselves from a nerf.

Lol assuming my English comprehension is somehow less than yours.

You would have seen that I am merely pointing out that Making the sort of change you're suggesting (which is unlikely) is code hell. A better suggestion as someone prior to me said, a quick play/ ranked feature limiting swf is probably the best way to tackle swf.

I am insisting you don't understand CODING. You pretty much dumbed down what I said and said it yourself as simple as it can get. But the workload, is not. I am in no way stating swf is unhindered. I gave temporary solutions, not fixes, not excuses.

I considered what you said, and the idea is absolutely ridiculous. Why should you punish players for playing casually with their friends? What your idea does is encourage lobby dodging, increasing queue times by a metric ton.

You're talking to me about understanding a subject without having a concept of pros and cons for the same subject you're trying to push on me.

Sure, the devs could add this in... Buuut...

What you should have in your train of thought is "how can this go wrong" instead of "this should be good". Which is why I think the devs are doing a decent job with the recent patches, because they have the right mindset.

Then adjust the repair speed with negative % for those in a SWF while leaving the base gen times alone. Easy.

Okay, You obviously dont know coding much but let me explain it to you like this.

For that to even be possible you need to account for:

1.How many people are in a group

2.How many groups there are in a lobby

3.Figuring out a percentage for each group of 2,3,4 respectively

4.Making sure it doesnt overlap with solo

5.If group 1 is doing a gen, reduce speed by percentage

6.If group 1 is doing a gen with a solo, reduce speed by a percentage without overlapping with a solo

7.If group 1 and group 2 are doing a gen, reduce speed by a percentage without overlapping with one another

8.If one player disconnects from group 1, increase repair speed

    9. For groups with a DC, repeat steps 1-8

    10. If all but 1 member of group 1, return to base speed.

I could keep going by the way. In what way is this easy again? This is literally code hell. The amount of math here is enough to make a damnn new character.

Again, this could present a lot more issues than give an actual solution. If you're looking for a free ticket against people who can communicate, this is not the game for you. You want advice? Be less predictable. The more SWF have to catch up with callouts the easier it is for you to dominate the game. You wanna slow the game down as much as possible? Ruin, Dying Light, Thanatophobia, pop goes the weasel. Have fun.

As for OP, I have no problems with Legion as red ranks in console. I think it's a matter of how well you understand the killer you play and what you can do with it by thinking outside the box.

  • Imo decent If it's taken away from fire up, so both perks remain unique.

    +bump

  • I think the subtle warping effect in the air is a pretty cool idea

  • Wouldnt that make fire up obsolete kinda.

I know it's specific for dying survivors, but still.

  • Gen Grab Spirit is pretty darn strong.

Spine chill is a slight counter after knowing it's a spirit though. Meaning a gen grab is almost guaranteed.

Also Spine chill can be countered pretty easily, just tilt your camera a different way.

  • In short, this "fix" just opens up even more problems.

  • How does that make sense.

What if you have 2 swf in a game.

People have said this countless times, and I will say it again for them. Stop assuming that you got rolled in a game by a swf. Solo Qrs exist, and I say they are the vast majority.

If you wanna slow gen progress. I suggest you get Ruin and/or Dying Light. Pop goes the Weasel would be good for this as well.

Imo it's the silliest thing to punish people for wanting to play with a friend. The matchmaking already does this, Good Killers don't need this at all.

  • I shall be using the mom kit to be a more annoying survivor than one with an instant heal

  • I shall now proceed to run syptic agent and mettle of man together.

    Fear my immortality muahaahaha

  • I disagree with the boob above. Legion is fun to play even if you lose the game. Waiting for a buff that might not even come within the next month isn't a reason to not play him.

I run Dying Light, Thana, Sloppy, and 4th slot maybe discordance but it's interchangeable so yea.

I find Legion to be red rank viable. Not the best. But still a decent killer.

  • I play Legion at red ranks with no issues against SWF.

Just have to think outside the box to what people are used to. Legion is dangerous when on a 2k. Lotta information can be gathered just from an m2 stab.

I think the strongest team I've faced I was playing nurse against a 4 stack. Got only one kill but I pipped from putting enough pressure on the game.

What if there was a survivor who has a hoodie up and the head section chooses the pattern of the hoodie, torso would change what kind of hoodie they where and legs would be the pants.

That, could be a decent alternative. Would definitely buy

  • Gen Grab Spirit is the strongest build in DBD

  • Ahem Mr @Peanits OP is speaking truth!

Have our survivors wear some nice hoodies with hood up!!!

Bring on the Bunny hoodie feng min!!!!

Okay maybe not dwight's cowboy bebop hair

Jokes aside maybe it isnt possible now but you guys could definitely make something happen when you set your mind to it

  • @MrsPiggyIsSoSneaky said:

We are talking about her base kit, not the addons

It honestly doesnt even look as bad as everyone is making it out to be. And as if people will play bare bones nurse often with no addons.

You're totally missing the point because you don't understand what's it is like to play nurse. It was already hard enough with 2 blinks, now the survivor will gain so much distance before you get 2 blinks again you've got to succesfully land a very long range 2 blink hit again. That's not happening against good survivors! She's no longer red rank viable.

I disagree. The main thing with nurse is muscle memory

I have no issues playing nurse as is, and most likely will not have one with her rework just because survivors have a slight chance of breaking line of sight with me

  • People should just give nurse a chance and test out her rework instead of complaining that they cant blink 5 times during a chase unaffected by vaults, pallets, loops.

You might actually find something enjoyable about her rework

  • @Drazen said:

so they dont give a flying ######### about high ranks and actually balance game around rank 20s good job devs a completely reworked killer and calling it slight changes wow

Did you read what you wrote?

Lol a rank 20 Nurse got nurse nerfed because she's too op. This is not centering the game around rank 20s. Fk man I know it may be a bit of exaggeration, but still.

When have you seen a ridiculously good rank 20 Nurse? She's hard af to learn in the beginning. There is like an equal chance to escaping a hook on your first attempt to find a good rank 20 nurse the devs would nerf her over.

  • I mean, test out new nurse and see if it really is drastically different that it will prevent you from doing any good

  • Billy is pretty up there bro. Only time you don't get chainsaw'd by a good billy is when hiding behind pallets and making jungle gym vaults in time before he gets you through it

  • @Maggy_Fyers said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/739924#Comment_739924

This guy gets it, I almost feel like survivors got nerfed so many times that killers don't know what to whine bout anymore so they just pretend that they think keys are something overpowered out of nowhere.

EGC is the unbalanced thing, keys rebalance it, no you shouldn't get 4K everygame.

I agree. Though dont forget it was nearly impossible in like 2016 for a killer to catch a good survivor. Remember the killer shack infinites?

  • As someone stated above. Killers don't even need to kill someone to rank up. It all depends on how well you do in a game.

The more a game lasts, the higher the chance of you actually maxing out your categories are.

  • @CrowFoxy said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/739924#Comment_739924

You literally cannot balance. Game of a 2k average. You know what happens when a killer does a 2k? WE DEPIP.

What? In a high rank game? What, did you like not hook anyone at all, not kick gens, and only manage a 2k because of noed?

We don't depip on a 2k. It entirely depends on how good both sides were during that games, and how much was done. Against the strongest team I've versed, I managed a 2k, and got a pip from that game because of how long I managed to get it to last. ( was playing Pig)
