Shouldn't it be based on merit? If you want more shards people will strive to improve for the reward and they'll be more matches in high rank
I just feel like rewarding rank and winning encourages competition and it asks a lot more questions towards balance.
Everyone will want to play the strongest killers with the strongest add ons to maintain super high rank to get their reward.
If I want to play random killers with strange perks why should you not receive rewards when you've been a million times more sporting fun and creative.
Every 10 games you should get 500 iridescent shards, it sounds tiny but it adds up.
I also think that if you vote up a random player you should both get 20 irridescent shards and it should be a one button action to vote up a player rather than having to go to the menu full of reportable actions.

I personally want a really gothic Van Gelding chapter.
The chase music being the theme from the movie.
We need more Survivors with hats.
Possible killer gargoyle, Frankenstein, Dracula, vampire bat person freak, one of those little slave workers from the movie too.
They could mix it up.
-
There really needs to be s Survivor perk which makes the killer drop you in an injured state if he chooses to drop you when carried.
-
Rewards shouldn't be rank dependant imo. It just unfairly cuts off the majority of casual players from a reward. Especially when lobbys are tough to find or you play solo it's way tougher.
Maybe rewards for playing every say 50 matches

I recently got out of the habit of using self care so as I have so many medkits saved up on my Claudette I just take one of those instead.
I like taking the yellow medkit with the +12 charges add on and increased speed, more often than not it's guaranteed 2 heals and a in theory another perk slot.
-
On Xbox when I'm waiting in a lobby I always open up my friends list and nosey at everyone's profile. See if anyone has unfriended me and go on a mission to figure out who. I get too absorbed sometimes and I end up being afk for the first few minutes. I'm too curious for my own good sometimes.
-
Rin Hitachi or riot.
-
Has every offering from the beginning of dbd.
Told "if you're really cool you'll be prestige 3 on your Survivor main"
Prestiges. Loses everything including hundreds of add ons offerings, ones which have been expired and all of my perks. Dies inside.
Not worth it.
Prestiging just means you are prepared to waste what you have spent so long to achieve.

How are survivors gonna watch her setup? She's incredibly small and with M&A you won't know where she is half of the time. The only time you can sabotage Hag's traps is when she picks someone up, that is a very small window and you have to know where her traps are. You must've never played a good Hag.
Hag is amazing and has the best juggling potential in the game since her ability has no cooldown and gives her insane map presence, she can turn god pallets and loops that are typically very safe into a free hit most of the time or forcing the survivor to run away entirely. With Hag you can also adapt to how survivors play, you can make good survivor maps bad for them if you trap key areas and pallets. I usually dominate at rank 1 with Hag. Her biggest downside is needing some setup time but that's not even a big issue, Hag is easily 4th best killer.
If you as a survivor pick your moments to set off hag traps while she'll rather not bother changing targets then she becomes less able to devastate teams.
It takes time for her to re set up traps and it forces her into making a choice of downing the Survivor she's chasing or changing targets to the one setting off her traps repeatedly.
Against a swf who each set off her traps I feel she can easily be overwhelmed in a way not many killers are.
I also feel like those who rate the hag highly are the most defensive towards a killer. A successful hag relies on you setting off traps at convenient moments in order to catch you off guard. If she cannot do that she's in a little trouble.
-
The thing which holds hag back is how Survivors can watch what she does and sabotage her whole set up when she's busy doing something else. She's a little slow so traps are the thing which she relies on to make the type of plays other killers can't. Survivors with a good eye and idea of what the hag is doing can really make it a tough game.
When hags dominate it's usually down to impatience poor awareness and clumsy plays from Survivors in my experience. She is a very decent killer in the right hands.

Tier list off the top of my head (console)
Hillbilly
Spirit
Trapper (with good trap placement)
Myers
Demogorgan
Huntress 🐰
Hag
Freddy
Plague
GhostFace
Nurse
Clown 🤡
Doctor
Pig 🐖
Wraith
Legion (Game slowing frenzy power, increased movement, low power lethality)
Cannibal (has lethality but lacks movement)
I think that's all of them.
-
Freddy likes Weiner's. He's one dirty [bad word]
-
Maybe have map pools, A, B, and C.
I'm the lobby menu you just choose which pool of 8,9,10 maps you'd prefer. That way you have a chance to avoid the map you hate.
Offerings overrule map preference.
Ultra rare offering to make the entity refuse all map offerings and force a random. Just for a little drama.
-
I wouldn't include this in your guide but to any Xbox players it'll save you money on controllers if you remapped the skill check buttons (LB and RB) to something less fragile. I remapped mine and it's way better and it's such an odd binding that I can't even remember it.

I mean I think Stranger Things is definitely a license they can revisit for more chapters. They've proven cooperation is tried and tested to go down well.
Who knows if Season 4 of Stranger Things has a really freaky thing going around murdering people if it's the slightest thing creative and unique it probably has a 30% chance to be in dbd at some point.
-
But we already have a billy therefore there cannot possibly be another capiche.
-
An old Chinese grandma with grey hair and attitude. Not licensed but she knows every martial art out there and she has never lost her ability to rise in moments of uncertainty and chaos. Rin Hitachi is her name.
-
Hillbillys chase music should just be a fast banjo solo. Leather face should be some ominous honking and frantic banging and scraping of metal.
Clowns chase music should either be a harmonica or one of those things where you hold onto a handle on each end and move the instrument in and out at different angles. Like a bagpipe but it's not. I think it's a French woodwind instrument.
Hag should have more of a spiritually twisted, dark and daunting chase music. I'm just imagining the witches in Zelda. Something a little classy but very light.
-
Maybe the distance between gens spawning could be changed but then again they are in fixed positions.
-
I feel like the movement speed deserves a very tiny nerf from 115mps to 113mps. It's a bit of an ugly number but I feel like the pounce attack still enables you to make up ground and for the demogorgan to be nerfed in any other way kinda nullifies him.
I'll be really happy if they leave him untouched but I do feel like he can make up a little too much ground spamming pounce again and again with no cooldown.
The fact he has no cooldown lets him intercept the path of the Survivor which I really like. I am fearful that bad killers will have an easy ride using demogorgan though.
So I'd prefer his movement speed to be nerfed over his power/pounce if a nerf was to come. Ultimately he's decent, probably the closest to the most balanced killers yet.
I know they'll upset a big chunk of wannabe demogorgan players if a nerf does come which is why I feel like they'll just go with it for a while to see if there's anything that can be tweaked months down the line.
-
If you're at rank 1 you are at least the best hope out of all of us to be pitched with those swf kind.
I'm not a rank 1, I play average/weak killers really well but I only play casually and have a nice side but quick pressure an individual Survivor, rotate and repeat. Sometimes it's difficult to get a grip on the game when the 3 gens in a medium chase of the forth Survivor. This is why corrupt intervention exists to buy you more time in early game. It's luck to know whether to choose it though.

Dude come over to Xbox, where 4 man SWF is literally every other game and rank 1's don't even care about Ruin. I'm one of them, and I know about 50 others like me. We just plow through Ruin like it's not even there.
The Devs shared data showing that swf of 3 or 4 people made up about 25% of the game (rough estimate) at least half of those are potato at ruin skill checks. I think this problem of gen rushing with ruin up is prone to happen in about 8% of all matches. It's not high enough to overhaul the whole time taken to do gens.
Maybe if it was only at high ranks. But it would be unfair for medium and low ranks.

It's truly amazing. There it sits. one of the best guys to ever DBD saying gen speed is too fast. Hundreds of thousands of combined video from youtubers, and streamers providing hard undeniable fact based evidence that gens are too fast.
It's in your face black-and-white, clear as crystal. But that's somehow not a good enough reason to nurf gen speed. And nobody wants a secondary objective. they say they do, but at the same time argue against any, and all secondary objectives. no matter how good the idea is.
There's so many people in denial on this forum.
It's a rare occurrence to have a swf to complete 3 in 2 mins with ruin up. Otherwise I'm with you on this.
-
Solo Survivors with no mic will be DC's On if you add coms
-
Ptb on pc, it's under properties on Steam or something.
Will release on all platforms in eleven days or so.
-
I disagree BUT I think that there needs to be some mechanism in game which increases the span of the game depending on how well the Survivors are doing objectives.
Like you have to find gas cans to fill up a gen but the earlier you are in the match, the less gas there will be in each gascan. Something like that. In-game balance get rid of rank too.
-
It's frustrating when it's against swf who take credit for the games derpy aim.
-
What if killers could see the aura of gen depending on how much it's completed. Like that wraith add on

You mean they do a 360
Not a 360 it's always a sharp turn which confuses the game.
-
Happens a lot when Survivor do a tiny spin as you 'hit' them.
-
The counterplay to the pounce the demogorgan has is to move left or right of it, pull a pallet down or dead hard it already has more counterplay than Huntress hatchets, plagues vomit, clowns tonic and it's only an attack which takes 1 health state unlike billys chainsaw.

Auto aim?
When the game auto locks onto a survivor if they are within the hitbox causing the camera to spin to make it look like a smooth hit except it completely misses the Survivor a lot of the time.
-
Also by toxic I mean actually full on toxic with teabags, flashlight clicking, spamming noise notifications all match. They did other annoying things like gen rushing and body blocking and last second rescues those toerags.
-
Who cares exactly?
-
I demand an purple rarity add on which plays the music mapwide constantly. Just to make it harder to determine whether the killer is near or not. Would make it really tense.
-
I think that if the perk said the nearest 10 vaults will be blocked then that would be better for most maps rather than a radius.
Every perk has it's uses, I just feel like if it's a little overwhelming in a 3 gen plot then that's the Survivors fault and the killers opportunity to capitalise on it with the help of this perk.
-
I kinda think keys which can open the hatch should sparkle or have a little glimmer on them. Ordinary keys which do not open the hatch should have a solid colour with no sparkle or glimmer. It would help the killer distinguish whether it's something to worry about or not. Survivors with aura reading keys would therefore be less likely to be tunneled for having a key.
-
I like the idea of new key add-ons which don't give a massive gameplay advantage.
-
I have a really bad taste of tofu because I only watched him mid rant which I thought he was totally in the wrong. It puts me off giving him a second chance. I hope he's not like what I saw for myself.

I think there is a problem with a dlc being announced then it actually releasing over a month later. I think it's bad marketing and it just makes you think why even get excited if it's so far away.
It's all for the sake of bugs which will always be in the game in some shape or form.
The Devs don't need to do anything but I hope they relook at how they do things at some point and test new content more vigorously internally and cut the length of the ptb a little.
Even delaying the reveal of the dlc would let the hype begin closer to it's actual release which would be nice move.
When you say learn patience you need to remember that games are intended for fun and when the surprise element of dlc is gone because everyone knows the ins and outs once it's revealed and when the dlc isn't available for over a month. Dlc seriously loses its appeal.
Personally I will still buy all dlc but there's zero excitement in waiting and if you're convinced it's just impatience then I don't think you understand how the excitement and hype just trickles away the longer the gap between the teaser/reveal and the actual release is.
-
I think it might be intended because of the extra licenced cosmetics being unveiled. Even then the hype I had a couple of weeks ago is like 40% less because of the wait.
I really do hope you change your dlc testing approach so it's tested internally then onto a small time frame ptb and released shortly after. There's just no excitement in waiting.
-
Considerable - Well loads
Slightly - just a lickle bit yeah, nowt
Moderately - a chunk
Tremendously - dead much
-
I wonder if the demogorgan is Dart or just another Demogorgan.
-
Jake bear onesie.
-
'The Anyone want to play dungeons and dragons?'
-
Only if it took you back to the lobby screen and not straight back in.
-
They said that a double Bloodpoint event is coming soon in the q&a they did.
Maybe on the switch release date they'll have a celebration.
That'll be within a month I think.
-
I wonder if the long wait for the ptb and public release will result in the hype to disappear.
It's undeniable and I hope the ptb is pretty soon to get the ball rolling again.
-
He's out there...in the fog somewhere
