If it was token based then no it wouldn't be op.
-
The gen regression perk has synergy with thrilling tremors if he backs off the gen in fear of the regression. If he does it's like 30 seconds of regression or however long it is.
-
What I'm saying is that if a gen is so important that you must stop Survivors repairing it you'd always be better off using pop or brutal strength every time.
-
A creative Survivor perk I can think of off the top of my mind would be Final steps - Whenever you are hit into the dying state you stumble in the direction you are facing before falling to the ground. 3 steps forward. T1- 1 token T2- 2 tokens T3- 3 tokens.

I'd like to know how those perks aren't creative. Not creative is "when you start running, you're a bit faster for 3 seconds" or "missed attack cooldowns are reduced".
I mean it's basically a lazy bamboozle which requires a gen to be done to activate and then a lazy gen kick in a likely small and irrelevant area. Just take pop goes the weasel or brutal strength and you've got a big regression or a quick regression with quick pallet destruction.

I tried:
"Speedy Delivery"
When you unhook a Survivor while in the Basement, that Survivor recovers one Health State. If you unhooked that Survivor within 30 seconds of them being hooked, gain a 100/150/200% Bloodpoint bonus for unhooking that Survivor.
"At you doorstep in 30 seconds, or it's free!"
I guess Dwight delivers to all places, even the basement.

I saw a Nancy fan made perk exactly like the one gen obsessed perk mentioned here. I doubt that they would just lift it.
Plus Babysitter seems like a theme of all fan made Steve perks. I think it's fake news

Hitting a survivor automatically regresses gens and a gen being complete practically guarantees that you'll win a chase. How are they bad?
They aren't very creative, they might be good but it's situational and would hardly ever fit into the usual build.
-
Give him a little chainsaw sprint which is faster than walking but way slower than hillbilly. Like make his chainsaw able to continue for as long as you hold it down. Massively reduce steering but have add ons to increase control.
-
Nice Survivor perks the killer ones are pretty bad. Hope the killer ones are wrong.
-
Licencing on cosmetics may be under another 'DO NOT LET THEM KNOW YET' wall, I can't remember what it's called.

Well, my hope for a Werewolf became more real with the Stranger Things reveal.
Maybe a Van Gelding chapter with Dracula/Frankenstein or a werewolf and the vampire hunter.
Frankenstein wasn't evil in the movie though so maybe not him.
-
If you add the upside down people will just call it a recycled Freddy. Smart move not including it as a mechanic if you ask me.

Average survival rate is around the same regardless of group size though. A little higher for 4 man's but not by as much as you'd expect.
Because they're more likely to ditch the solo players which also skews the data. Also swf disconnecting skews the data.
-
I mean even 2 or 3 man swf are really strong if they can do basic things well. 47% play in groups about 15% of overall games have pretty strong swf groups of varying sizes.
-
A really good swf group is probably 15% of the time in my opinion. It varies depending certain things. But this is my rough estimate.
-
We got some bad news, I think I just scared a new player away for a little. I was playing Ghostygoo and I heard footsteps in the basement so I hid behind the doorway and when I heard rapid footsteps I started peeking. I popped out from around the corner and they just froze. I downed them and they didn't struggle they were so terrified.
-
I'm actually thinking whether it will even be hooks, it could just be dragging Survivors to the portal and Survivors have to dig them out.
-
One theory I like is that the upside down is a flip of the map. So Survivor feet in the real world match with the demogorgans feet in the upside down.
The portals are entry points for the killer to the upside down.
From the upside down, the demogorgan can spawn a portal leading to the real world.
Demogorgan has no terror radius in the upside down.
It's hard to explain, some of you will get what I mean
-
@Maelstrom1313 you're such a negative Nancy.
-
When I see a survivor trying but just falling short I like to down them normally then act like I cannot find it in myself to hook them yet so I shake my head and drop them down and run away with my head down.
-
I don't see Steve as the hardman.
I was skeptical of Steve as a survivor but even if you don't like him so much it's clear there's a lot of people who do and they will spend their money on Steve and make further big additions possible. It helps the game a lot to give in to what people want. They wanted Steve, they get Steve everyone's a winner.
-
They are addressing some of the grind at the same time as the next chapter release. Whether it'll be enough is yet to be seen.
-
Erm excuse me?
-
BRAINFART
What if when the demogorgan enters the portal he doesn't teleport but goes on the flip side of the map. The upside down
He can interact with survivors from the upside down and can only come out from a portal which can be blocked off temporarily by survivors.
-
@xChrisx Where did you get these?
-
Oh ######### oh ######### oh ######### oh ######### oh #########!!!!
-
I think the demogorgan only has a few potential skins. Maybe one where he's caked in dust/ash
Bloody vines or blooming vines
-
Honestly I think the fangirling/fanboying is to blame for us getting Steve and not Jonathan who I rate higher.
Having said that if it wasn't for the fangirling/fanboying we might have only got Nancy.
-
Steve Harrington got a Tunnel bandit skin in Minecraft maybe he will in dbd too.
-
I think the hiss is important. Like it gives a status effect which removes your ability to hear heartbeat.
The upside down is likely just a teleportation method but they'll probably be vines coming from certain walls and obstacles that let you teleport.
-
If the game map had doors you could push when walking into them that'll be really nice.
-
Boogiemans power - Boogie down
The cringe is real.
Fortnite joke btw.
-
Create a load of funny bugs just to mess around with them.
-
Very far from Freddy v1 just kinda makes me think that he definitely has a teleport between different obstacles and walls across the map.
-
If the entity is seen as the 'Queen' or more conveniently it's Creator then it obeys.
I hate to spoil but when the evil android bred the Xenomorph in Alien Covenant the Xenomorph obeyed him completely.
-
Has to start with a hiss, maybe frantic clawing if the chest and eating the insides then a small crawl away. Hopefully it lasts between 7-10 seconds. There's gonna be rage if it lasts too long.
-
I'm pretty sure humanoid just means human-like other wise it's just human. I mean he's got head, shoulders, knees and toes knees and toes like a human therefore he's able to be defined as humanoid.
-
Is it Thursday yet. Damn it's only Tuesday.
-
You could have Ellen Ripley in one of those emergency shuttles crash landing on any map of your choice and waking up from hyper sleep to find that she brought a Xenomorph with her and it's changed the environment so there's spores and those alien corridors with sticky walls.
Those facehugger eggs thingies and most of all you kinda need an enormous sleeping queen Xenomorph in the basement.
The map could be a lot of things but it does feel important to capture that spacey sci fi feel. A crash site of the nostromo seems fitting, an alternative to the end of the first Alien movie.
I mentioned a theory in another discussion how a really lore heavy take they could go with is that the entity could create the perfect organism because all other killers are bad.
Anyway side note to all this that I wanna add is that I like the idea of licensed chapters having more than one map. It just seems twice as much gameplay variety straight off the bat.

A sequel to Alien Isolation was just released
It was a mobile game, that's likely what you just saw. It's called Alien Blackout. Don't look it up, only pain will you find
Oh no this is another Alien game. It's not yet released. It's by other people.
-
What do we want?
When do we want it?
-
Bring autodidact and as soon as you heal someone 95% say "I'm ok for stacks now" and run away.

This tweet in question has a comment from Carrie Henn saying "yaaas!!?"
Carrie Henn is the American Actress who played Newt. This means that an alien game is in the works but I'm pretty sure it's not by the ones who did isolation.
If you do a little digging you can see snippets of early gameplay. I saw a clip of 2 people getting chased by an alien through some vents, the first guy got away by hiding in a locker and the second guy got caught by the Xenomorph.
It looked very similar to isolation but it looked as if it's multiplayer, surviving with friends against the alien or aliens. It's something which exists but they've had some delays.
-
@ClogWench said:
So what I'm hearing is theres no real proof or indication of a sequel. Gotcha.
When I say it's only rumours that means it's only rumours. As I said before there have been teases and things delaying any Alien isolation sequel.
-
For the tweet - @WS_Dandelion. Check the tweet made on 4th June this year.
He's a game writer who's worked on many well known games like magic the gathering, mass effect, ESO, dawnsgate, outer world's etc. Pretty reputable I would think.
-
This image was tweeted by allegedly one of the Alien writers as a tease to upcoming Alien ™ stuff.
"The screenshot is of Newt looking suitably innocent and in dire need of someone to come to her rescue in a Work Loader, so the sequel to Alien Isolation might not be a sequel at all. Perhaps it's about Newt, showing the outbreak of the aliens being released on the Hadley's Hope colony, then you have to play as her as she spends her days hiding and scavenging while being hunted by Xenomorphs."
It's all speculation, nothing solid but it could be one of those that's quiet until it's suddenly appearing right before Halloween. Too soon for it this year if I had to guess. Might not even be an actual game. Could be a remaster of a movie or a prank. It's not clear who exactly sent the tweet either.
