I don't get the negativity towards Jonathan. He was supposed to be a creep in season 1 and from there he became a loyal and determined character who wanted to help in whatever way he could, this involving moving really quickly at his own will to attempt to aid that common goal.
Good acting and a really good example of good character building.
-
If the killer is near they hear the final snap of the totem breaking. I'm sure there is a tiny snap noise but it's not directional or anything.
-
I honestly think new players need an icon by their name to indicate that they are new. First 20 games, just so you can actually choose whether to go a little easier on them In return for them being able to experience more and find their feet.
-
One good thing about it is that you only waste your own time self healing but once you get multiple Survivors with it the time taken to self heal could be used more efficiently.
Good for casuals but for not really advanced players.
-
I feel like this is how 85% of the current players feel, some aren't too bothered but there a hell of a lot more expected to try out dbd for the first time.
-
Maybe instaheals can cause broken(1min) once you get hit. Like the effect you depend on is gone and your more exposed to danger.
-
Heal over time for the ultrarares (instant 1 health state, second health state after 5 more seconds)
The difference is that an Instaheal might become pretty useless if it was a heal over time in close proximity of the killer.
-
The Demogorgan. He's cute.
-
They're doing a synth track for Stranger Things or something so I would assume there's a stranger things music thingy in the menus.
I don't know if it was a weird dream or not but I faintly remember the demogorgan having a unique terror radius. I was probably just imagining it but idk.
-
Personally I think the Devs have put together an insanely good chapter. The map looks incredible, the new characters are really detailed and feel like how they should, the perks are actually pretty creative and useful. Maybe there's 1 or 2 perks which feel like filler perks.
This chapter looks to me like the best one they've made so far, there's still more to be confirmed/made public about it and I hope some of you will change your mind when you take a look from another perspective.
For those who call themselves fans of Stranger Things and dbd you have to understand how good this collaboration is for the game. Be grateful that this is coming rather than nitpicking at the same old things you obsess over.
You dislike a perk...get over it
You dislike the killer power...get over it
There's plenty of us who actually think everything with this chapter is decent.

Didnt they say it was straight up just The Demogorgon?
I dunno. Well if you were in charge and you couldn't call it the demogorgan, what would you call it?
-
It's just walking speed.
-
I assumed that he meant during the destroy portal action which makes the Survivor oblivious any killer can basically stalk them as in sneak upto them.
If there is a stalk mode then I'll be even more excited to play him.
-
After season 2 the lab was based on. I assume it's a typo.
-
We will see, there's 2 interpretations I'm just saying there's no reason to discredit either one.
-
But that's the whole point of a pun. @KillerRaccoon
-
Exactly they sound the same which doesn't prove or disprove anything.
-
He's like an easier to use hag but with smart positioning of portals he can better and he might be base speed. Plus he has a charged lunge which is neat. Haunted ground infectious fright and Iron maiden ruin will be my build so far. I'm eager to learn more though.
-
I like him.
-
Who wouldda ...(Charges the emphasis) FFFFFUNK?
-
It didn't sound like thunk, it was a clear Funk.
-
Very last words go see it at the very end of the stream archive or yt video when it appears.
-
He put extreme emphasis on the word Funk. I know Funk when I hear it.
-
@Chaotic_Riddle Honestly I think they were better than I expected 😄 killer perks are fun ones, the vault blocker perk is insane on the new map.
-
It's a stream on both platforms.
-
I like indoor maps and I think it's best to scare Survivors than to kill them.
-
Personally I think if you step in a bear trap you should take a 5% slow for 30 seconds because you've literally just had your ankle snapped.
-
Treasure Hunt Mode
Solve 5 riddles to decipher the location of the buried treasure.
There will be workbenches scattered across the map where you can craft equipment you need such as a metal detector, flashlight (point out searchable areas to find clues), shovel(dig), pickaxe (break stone), weights to solve weight puzzles, hints etc.
The map will be filled with a lot of random but different objects e.g. red/green/blue paint tin, 3/4/5 stack pile of tyres, smashed mirror with flickering light beside it etc. You get the idea.
So these riddles give away discreetly where the next riddle location is. 'Where the sea spills, and the hurt splatters time stands still' - Would be a clock on a wall with blood splattered on it by a small puddle of water.
You would shine your flashlight at the place where you think it is then that place becomes searchable. You'd get the next riddle and it continues.
The treasure at the end would be something like 50,000 Bloodpoints, 10%xp bonus for 3 days (encourages playing the main game), treasure Hunt stamp (10 stamps rewards you a with a prize).
I personally would find this pretty neat and chilled out as well as being way easier to implement in the game than another serious gamemode.
-
@Bbbrian2013 because everyone wants variety especially the burnt out players but the Devs can't do that because balance gets too much of a hurdle to manage.
Devs would rather there's the one main mode because they don't want to split the players into many complicated layers of matchmaking.
However this idea could be done in just a group of friends and would not challenge the main game mode. Just a break from the main game.
-
Game modes
Daily spin- able to win a random cosmetic piece, a one off Bloodpoint sum, limited xp bonus, 5 random add ons for each killer, 5 random add ons for each Survivor, next spin rewards double spin again.
Something to keep you coming back a little more.
-
I think this is real. Like a little taster for what else will come.
We'll know tomorrow anyway. I'm skeptical of how well a few of the perks are but you know the values must be reasonable to make a perk worth running.
I hope the perks bring something new and not recycling an already existing perk. On second look I'm optimistic they'll give it a go at making itself a little different and individual.
-
I'm just defending my point of PGTW brutal strength and bamboozle being decent perks that are hard to replace.
-
@MegsAreEvil The original MegHead herself. I bet you down Survivors 8+ times per match yet only manage to hook 1 with your logic used in your last point.
-
They said they were buffing some piggy add ons in the Reddit q&a

It's exactly what i said. You complain about something you dont know. Even though Pop is as situational as the new perk. No hooks no Pop.
If you get no hooks you don't really deserve it to be fair.
Also PGTW requires a hook but this rumoured perk requires a down. There's literally no difference just hook them and you would get pop.
-
Huh I thought it did🤔 hmm one more reason not to play her so much on console then.
She's really rough sometimes, it's unfun even when you do well.
-
Enduring reduces her fatigue @immortalls96
-
I might play more nurse once enduring appears on the bloodweb for her. Literally leveled up at least 100 times on her and it never shows up on her. It'll have to soon though.
-
The Mori shows the demogorgan hissing so maybe it has a part in the power.
-
My point being that it will not be as strong as Pop goes the weasel because it won't have such a huge gen regression to it.
Exactly my point.

So you know more than everybody else knows? then enlighten us what kind of regression is meant by the article! youre just complaining about something you done really know. thats worthless.
I'm saying that the conditions required for the regression effect is extremely situational and will likely only happen to make a meaningful difference to gen repairs a handful of times every few matches whereas PGTW works on every hook you make and takes 25% of the total gen progression.
For this new rumoured perk to be any good it has to be at least 25% of total gen regression or PFTW is better hands down. However some of you don't understand.

Having all gens kicked by doing your objective as a Killer is not useless. It’s like saying Adrenaline is useless because Self-Care exists. With all gens degreased by picking up a Survivor, you could combine it with Thrilling Tremors to keep all gens under lock and key for a decent amount of time while going out to focus on killing other Survivors.
Having all windows blocked for 30 seconds is very situational, yes, and Bamboozle IS technically better due to the fact that you can use it whenever, the perk still can make situations where if you hooked a Survivor near other Survivors working on a gen much more handy in actually focusing on them rather than having to deal with infinites for the amount of time you have left, giving you at least an easy hit, if not an easy down depending on who you’re playing, with this perk. (I will say though that you are technically right on Bamboozle being better, I’m just trying to state that the perk isn’t entirely useless.)
They’re FAR from useless, my friend. I can see some Nurses using the second perk and a lot of gen-protecting Killers using the first one, especially Doctor.
Except it's not doing anything towards stopping Survivors making progress on the gens they are currently on because the regression stops instantly on gens being worked on.
PGTW will take a chunk of progress from the gen. This rumoured perk which regresses nearby gens upon a Survivor being downed requires you to A be near a gen that a Survivor has almost completed but for some reason decided to leave it for 30+ seconds so that a chunk of regression has been made and B find and down a survivor by that one gen that's almost done.
That sound good to you?
-
Also for whoever it was saying regressing every gen is really good for a perk I ask you this. How often do you stop working on a gen when the killer isn't coming for you? Never.
This perk would be useless because Survivors commit to completing gens which they are or have been working on.

I dont need to offend you lol
You already made yourself look like a clown by stating you run bamboozle and brutal strength on killers.
You heard it here first. Bamboozle and Brutal strength are bad killer perks and if you use them then you are a clown according to this guy. Clueless
-
Ask yourself this Is 30 seconds of blocked vaults worth 1 gen?
-
@Chaotic_Riddle useless compared to brutal strength and bamboozle.

Lmao
Says these aren't good perks...
Clearly you dont play enough killer SMFH
This means you can just stab survivors and go looking for other people if you'd like. (Depending on the killer you're playing)
This forces survivors to waste time with something like sloppy, thana, pop, etc.
So if you play a killer with addons for gen regression or mangled you dont even need to run sloppy or thana and change your perks to work with that new "hit survivor generators get regressed within proximity" perk.
Plus imagine that with thrilling trumors, pop, distressing and overcharge .
Sorry that youre just not that creative
If you think the killer perks are stronger than Brutal strength or Bamboozle then clearly you are the one who lacks knowledge of playing killer not me.
Next time you decide to throw an insult do actually try harder to offend me.
Seriously though these new killer perks are weak and not at all more useful in the average match. Stick to bamboozle and brutal strength because they're better.
-
I watched all 3 seasons in 3 days. Just saying. It's like climbing a mountain.
-
The thing with the scratch mark revealing perk is that it opens up to another mindgame which you can manipulate to deceive the killer.
