  • It's a base 4% chance, but with every survivor bring luck offerings, and last time I checked the wiki the max chance is 50% per attempt. With slippery meat giving you an extra 3 attempts that's basically a guaranteed escape.

  • It's not cheating. Even a mod commented on another post like this that said it's not cheating as both killer and survivors can get up there.

  • Yeah one time I hopped in a locker when someone got picked up. They got off, but before I got out of the locker they got downed again, so I stayed in. The Freddy hooks them, and beelines to my locker to open it and find me. When I messaged them post game they blamed their BBQ (impossible as I was in the locker), they blamed being able to hear me (impossible as the hook was 1/2 across the map, they blamed knowing someone was on a gen (no gen was in shack).

  • Yeah I thought this was a well known bug? I've been checking places for forever trying to find the hatch during the beginning of the game

  • I would love to have some friends and study this in KYF to actually figure out the numbers

  • You can't double depip? You don't even lose 2 pips when you dc. This is just a fake story then.

  • Trickster is good period. He's literally gotten a buff every single patch that's come out. I don't understand why people think he sucks.

  • Why are you using premonition when spine chill exists? Genuine question.

  • No One Left Behind - the aura reading lasts even when someone isn't on the hook so you can see where the other exit gate is being opened, where you need to be to take a hit, where you need to run to make someone take a hit for you to get out LUL, so much opportunity.

  • I go into every game just trying to black pip. If I feel like I've black pipped and the game isn't already over I got for more than that.

At least 10 years is what I bet, so more 5. However, they will probably stop releasing DLCs before that, or maybe adapt to a 2 DLCs per year schedule.

That's what I was thinking. DBD seems to operate under the "if you're not growing, you're dying" way of thinking, and DLC seem to be their way of always growing. Now with the end of the Stranger Things DLC, and coincidentally the pinhead additive (something that I think was intentional), I started thinking about what it would really mean if they didn't release DLC for a bit.

We know for certain that there's, at the very least, two more years of full Dev support, if I remember right. So four years at worst? Then again, TF2 has been abandoned for a while and the community is still there, so it really is anyone's guess.

That's interesting. I don't really watch their dev livestreams, or anything. Is that where they showed some plans for the next 2 years?

  • Opinion: I think BHVR is trying to revert the game back to a hide and seek simulator, back to when it was cat and mouse.

  • NOED is not the only reason to break totems? Hex: Devour is a very powerful hex perk. Also Hex: Ruin and Hex: Undying can destroy games if the killer knows how to pressure people off? Like what? Illogical to say NOED is the only reason to do totems.

  • Okay, not being rude, just trying to clarify. Are you implying you're rage quitting after one bad game?

  • I agree mostly, but this game shouldn't have a FOV slider. If you use stretched res you're cheating, period!

  • HERE IS MY SUGGESTION (to making being camped or tunneled fun):

    [1] remove struggle phase

[2] make the 1st stage the full 2 minutes instead (also keep it at 3 hooks to die)

[3] let me play snake while I'm on the hook

    BOOM anti-fun fix

  • I swear if they put FNAF in LUL

  • They're my cakes, and if I want to hoard them I can. I worked for them. I don't have to spend them.

  • They said they aren't removing ranks. They're just changing how it works

  • I don't know if this matters, but I just got a candyman ad over a dbd stream so...you tell me what the next killer is

  • I think a key should be available in every game, but only be accessible if certain requirements are met - kind of like flashbang, but more difficult. So, it's balanced around your performance in the game. I feel the same way about Mori's.

  • I agree with all of these. Part of the problem is anybody who says something like "wow, that match was so unfun" is considered salty. I have never lost a few games a killer, and then wanted to go solo-que as survivor. I have, however, lost some games as survivor and went to play killer instead.

I'm farming because it gets people crowns, I get crowns, everyone gets BP and all of my survivor matches for the day have involved being camped, slugged, and tunneled at 5 gens. I want people to actually enjoy trials vs me, and enjoy the event in general, so I farm with them. If you don't want to farm, shame, but oh well. Just do gens and I'll hook the rest of your teammates and maybe chase you

Except the killers aren't doing any of this. I can only solo so many gens before they've hooked, let them be instant unhooked, and rehooked all other 3 survivors in the match. And, then the killers are using the other survivors to track me down because they don't want to have to do it themselves.

  • And, to clarify if you want to farm and let people instant unhook everyone that is your prerogative. But, if I don't want to come over there to reveal my location to you (maybe because I want the iridescent unbroken emblem) then that is my prerogative. You do not get to message the other survivors (I play on console) and make them hunt me down and reveal my location to you. If you want me...play the game and come find me!

Dont take this as insulting or uncaring. But if you are getting that emotional over a game, it may be healthy for you to take a break.

Exactly why I stopped playing tonight

  • @Northener1907 said:

I am killer main and most times i am escaping as survivor. You just need to be better at chases. Then killer will leave you or killer will all time on you and generators will fly.

And kill rates are normal. I do not know how survivors have problem because all maps are safe for them. Good pallets, good t-l walls etc

I am at the very least an adept looper. I have been playing almost exclusively survivor since I got the game back right before the clown came out. I even grinded my way from rank 20 back to rank 1 last season after the rank roulette pushed me all the way back. My chasing was not the problem. I had a piggy just slug me and camp my body until I bled out. I died on my first hook almost every time because the killer would just stand directly in front of me, or tunnel me into the ground after my first hook.

Most killers in my experience have dedication issues, and will not leave survivors that are looping them even remotely well. Their bloodlust grows with the killer they're playing.

Also I stated I wasn't looking for sympathy, but that goes both ways. If you felt the need to blame me just move on.

  • I don't even care about surviving, I just wanted a pip. I didn't get a single pip that entire batch - and I only black pipped twice. I switched up my build, I changed characters and cosmetics to attract less attention, I brought my best items, I even went the stereotypical blendette for a couple games hoping the immersion would save me even a little.

I don't know if this is just me being over-emotional in general, but after that last game I literally just wanted to start sobbing. Like when you've been holding back tears back for so long your chest starts to hurt and your nose gets stuffy.

  • @gendoss said:

Trust me it's not just you, it's all of solo queue. Some killers have a kill rate as high as 75%. Every killer has above a 50% kill rate too so the game is way killer favored right now.

If you go against a Freddy you literally have a 1/4 chance of escaping that game. That's how broken some killers are.

But, like...one of the killers was going out of their way to slug people to die on the ground when we hadn't even gotten a single gen done. I get the rush at the end, tunneling that person you have on the hook when the exit gates are open or when it's the only chance you're only going to get a single kill. But, why do people go out of their way to be dicks when they are in the biggest lead you can have in that game.

  • I played the magpie build where I took a bunch of items to the basement, lured the killer down, and presented the items as offerings. The Michael gave me a get out of jail free card.

  • Best revenge for this is when they just start nodding their heads and your adrenaline pops... XD

When killer nods their head at me and acting like they did something

Oh my God! Yes! It especially irritates me they play a killer that laughs, or makes a general mocking noise when they hit you like the Doctor, or the Clown.

When the teammate who did absolutely nothing and hid the entire game leaves me on the hook and t-bags the killer at the gate.

I hate that too. Like what are you t-bagging for? You barely survived!

  • I love that map. It is unique to most any other map out there.

  • I remember one day I played 27 ( yes, you read that number right TWENTY SEVEN) games where the killer mori'd with ebonys. So, I get how stuff like this can be frustrating. I also know that stuff like this can be possible, even if it isn't likely. Each game went by so fast that I could barely get any points.

I literally for like three days afterwards dc'd everytime I saw a hidden offering because I was so upset.

  • @Weck I don't get found when I crawl away, unless they have deerstalker - which they usually don't. I completely disagree with all the recovers. In my experience it is better to crawl away.

  • @thatguyinktown See, but I actually disagree. I would prefer to have a fellow survivor crawl as far away as possible (unless there is only two of us, and the person not downed is being chased). In my experience crawling away has always worked better for our team in the long run, than sitting there and recovering.

  • @Theluckyboi I totally agree. I tried to give that game the time of day, I really did. I just didn't like it.

  • I think Dark Souls is not replayable, because you will come across the same enemies, in the same area, with the same loot attached to the same glowing balls, in the same area of the map. Everything is the same everything you play that area, enough so that you could memorize the entire layout, and combat. Nothing changes when you replay it, at all. And, that makes a game non-replayable to me.

  • Doing gens? Not by themselves. But, if you are going to gen rush, and absolutely crush the killer in that match, and then spend 90% of the EGC butt dancing in the exit gate, yes you are toxic. Just take the win, and move on.

  • I agree kind of. I know when I play killer I get gen rushed a lot. ...a loooot. However, as a survivor, especially in the lower ranks, I find some survivors just impossible to play with. They're still in that phase where they're scared of the killer, and then they hear the heart beat and panic! I missed two rank resets because my old Ps4 broke, and I had to wait on a new one. I have been stuck in the low green ranks for three god blessed MONTHS NOW because I'm the only one who ever seems to do anything. And, then I get caught and left behind.

I agree that there is a lot of gen rushing, followed by the toxic butt dancing. But, I don't think everyone should be punished for it. Just like not all killers should be punished the killers who are no mercy butt nuggets.

    1. Survivors tend to blame the killer, when a lot of their problems could be solved if they ran better team perks. A lot of them run perks that are more for their own individual survival.
    2. The EGC gave killers another free lane to be an #########. There is no need to be a jerk letting them crawl almost all the way out only to pull them back, and watch them slowly lose hope, or bleed out, or be taken by the entity. Just take your kill, and go. ESPECIALLY, when you already crushed them in the match.
    3. The end game collapse removed viability for hatch escapes, and make a few perks completely useless (not that they were that useful to begin with).
    4. Survivors need to stop the bull with the butt dancing. If the killer was an #########, and still lost okay fine. Butt dance for a second. But, it's when we've gen rushed a killer to death, they haven't gotten a single hook, and then survivors want to sit there and tea bag in the exit gate that is beyond not okay.
    5. I don't think the EGC should trigger with one survivor left. I think they should still have the option to try to get gens done to get out.
    6. AND LASTLY if I am the last survivor in a match I should have my time on the hook. I should have the ability to struggle to get off even though everyone around me is dead. I should be able to get my 800+ struggle points.
  • I was playing on one of the coldwind farm maps with the tractors. I had jumped the ledge to get to where there is that bail of hay to jump off of. I had jumped off the hay, and the killer hit me from INSIDE the tractor section.

Sometimes I play as killer and get a hit that I know was not deserved. You/I were/was halfway across the map and that tiny little blade was able to get me. Yeah, nice try dbd. Go home, you're drunk.

Sometimes I run We're Gonna Live Forever, and sometimes I bring Urban Evasion. I used to use Calm Spirit and Iron Will because I got literally 13 Doctors in a row one day, they were everywhere.

I guess it depends on the killer I am seeing a majority of that day.
