A Killer should have a kit that allows them to use all the skills that comes with Killer, just like how Survivors are built to be able to perform with all skills that comes with Survivor. The Killers that don't have map pressure, chase/anit-loop abilities, and the ability to distract Survivors from their main objective are far too weak, and need to be buffed to this standard.
Yes, every killer needs everything. Give slinger teleportation abilities, and make every gen start regressing whenever spirit phases.
Better yet, delete every other killer and rebrand as Fred by Daylight.
-
Yeah it's always rough coming back to the game after a break and being matched with some salt demons. I wish I could give some advice on not letting it put you off but I just switched messages off when I was on ps4 after a while, sucks to miss out on the nice messages you get but regardless of your killer playstyle, most aren't.

Why be a snowflake who wants lgbt people in a game when you can be a snowflake who -doesn't- want them in the game
Waaah my boy pixels need to be attracted to girl pixels

Don't even mention it's name, or they will realize that it works with special attacks and nerf it.
I mean IF was just basic attacks only then they buffed it (like properly, in the patch notes and everything)

Blight is Scottish so I'd go for sauchiehall st on a Friday night. Always an intense experience pre-covid
-
Hiding in lockers because the killer is unfinished is kinda cheap, so is using a bug to get the down anyway, so it all balances out quite nicely
-
I think the main reason by far for actually changing him is the statistics/kill rates, although some seem to think "survivors whining on the forums" brought the change about (I think people overestimate how much interest the devs have in forum complaining)

He needs his camera and collision with various props fixed. He's strong regardless.
Pretty fun to play as, when you ping pong around the loops.
Pretty dull to verse. His 180° hit cone doesn't make any sense whatsoever. If the killer gets outplayed at a tile, the survivor can't make distance, because he's immediately on you again and it's even better for him because he can land a hit in the open. So, he has the potential of never being punished for mistakes. Which is most Blights have realized by now.
Some of his add-ons are busted and ruin/undying/tinkerer is just about one of the most boring builds I've ever used. Currently rocking Shadowborn, I'm All Ears, BBQ, Corrupt. Leaps and bounds more fun and healtier.
I have virtually nothing unlocked on pc so I'm rocking his three own perks + deathbound 😭 DG and blood favor have been more useful than I'd've thought, but I'm not sure I'd run them on him if I had more choice

Gonna be completely honest here. This was the most bs thing I've ever heard.
The comments this guy has been writing are amazing:
"Now, let me start this off by saying that I'm no dummy. The best killers in the world are some of the smartest people you'll ever find. It's no coincidence that killer-ability has been directly linked to player IQ in recent unpublished studies. When you get to be one of the better killers serving today, you develop an almost Herculean will-- a will that allows you to bend the match to any outcome that you choose. The map becomes your canvas, and your weapon, the brush."

1k to 3k survivor scores.
You camped and tunneled, then come here to whine about about how people don't like camping and tunneling.
Next.
This may sound completely crazy so bear with me
What if...nothing that can happen in-game justifies telling people to die from covid, and sending them slurs, death threats etc?
Obviously dbd is real and if you die in the game you die in real life so there's a lot at stake here, but imagine for a second that it was actually just a game
-
People talk a lot about mains on here as if you're legally only allowed to play one side but a lot of "scummy" survivors and killers are often the same people. The survivor who rages in post game about being tunnelled when they weren't will be moriing people off first hook at 5 gens later on. The rulebooks only apply to the other team, whichever one that currently is.

Already typed out an answer but it somehow didn't get send correctly, so sorry if this isn't a very detailled answer.
Soo the only blight youtuber that I know of is ScottJund and he also uploaded a guide for the blight, although I haven't watched it yet so I don't know how good it is. I assume it is at least decent though and talks about certain tricks that you can use to your advantage.
If I have to give some advice myself it would be that you should abuse the fact that a lethal lunge doesn't have collision with the terrain, which allows you to slide off objects and hit people that you otherwise couldn't, combine this with the most important skill next to map knowledge, which is pre turning your camera before a lunge, which turns a 45 degree lunge into up to 180 degrees. Many players will try to stay behind small structures like those random rocks on disturbed ward to avoid a hit, but by using both the lack of collision and pre turning you can hit around the rock no matter what, there are only a few specific sizes of clutter that I didn't figure out yet how to guarantee a hit and requires faking a direction. These are also extremly important to make 90% of the existing loops rush-able, combined with fast aiming after a slam.
Another tip if you lose people during rushes, if you are ready to hit somebody running away from you, never run past them for your first slam so you can lethal rush them, since that wastes more travel time and allows them to lose LoS with you, you almost always can find an object between you too that you can quickly slam into and continue to lethal rush them without leaving them out of your sight.
Other than that ALWAYS use his power when possible. As a new killer thats generally what I recommend, even if it loses you the game, since playing it safe also prevents you from learning what you can and can't do with his power. Its better to look silly if you fail your first 10 games going for risky hits and actually get better with his power and gain an understanding of it, than to never improve.
Perk wise you have the standard build that benefits blight the most, which is BBQ (probably better perks out there, I am just a BP addict), Ruin/Undying and a free slot that I use for whatever, although many run tinkerer which admittedly is a great perk on him, especially if new, although you need to know priorities, it is better to let a gen go sometimes if its in a bad spot and you know you will get the down soon. Blight is REALLY good at defending both gens + totems and once you get good with him and use the alchemist ring you can turn into a legion that can down, its possible to quickly hit a person, run to a gen and make it regress WHILE hitting the person on it, THEN run to a totem and protect it while ALSO injuring that person in a span of 15-20 seconds. With that being said, your perks are fine, although I highly recommend getting ruin on him, even undying 1 is fine. This is just a personal opinion, but I really dislike running perks that only affect the m1 on my blight, since I can go multiple games with only ever hitting survivors via lethal rush, which makes those perks useless for me, although if you are still learning him and thus will probably use a fair share of m1's the perks you got are pretty reasonable imo.
Overall just practice, practice and practice. Go for risky plays or even straight up dumb ones. Learn what is possible and what isn't.
If you want we can also KYF and I can show you some of the stuff I said in practice.
Using the power as much as possible at first even if it costs you games is def good advice for learning any killer with a lethal power

Is the sway definitely not a bug, like did they mention it in the patch notes or somewhere?

I have seen Hills spawn on Autohaven-Maps, also on Gas Heaven. So they are not removed.
That being said, it would be nice to have a guaranteed Balanced Landing-Spot on every Map (outside of the Basement Stairs), it is already the weakest Exhaustion Perk since its Nerf (But hey - Haddonfield is alright now, eh?).
And I am as well disappointed that the big joke called Shelter Woods did not receive any Updates. But Autohaven Maps are now full of Deadzones and Ormond got reworked balance-wise as well. Damn, those Survivor-sided Devs.

Naaah someone told me it's the Killers being sooooo OP! Survivors surely can't be favored when everything else gets nerfed!
Can you two not? Not every post has to descend into tribal bullsh1t
-
I'd like to see some actual strategy added to his gameplay like snares made closer to demo portals I.e once you put one down it stays there. A survivor triggering it only disables it for a short while before it comes back. Might have to reduce the overall number slightly.
- teleport cool down starting off low and increased for every use
- clock placement randomised rather than distance-based
-ditch the slowdown addons. Can make one of them give you your teleport right at the start, the other can let you teleport to exit gates. A bit spicier than "gens become 6% more boring"
-
There are some issues with it, the 57- sec hit after hooking another person, the synergy with other strong survivor perks, the fact that it sometimes feels necessary to use and is locked behind a cash-only dlc, and one point that isn't mentioned often but someone here did - it's a lot stronger against weaker killers. If you DS a wraith it might cost them the game. DS a spirit and you'll be back on the floor in 10 seconds.

Not the most original by now but- coldwind and haddonfield

What, like it's hard? Play enough matches and you're eventually going to 4k. I've 4ked in most of my matches with the twins, even against purple & red ranks & I only just now finally got perks besides oppression on them.
Alright you can have a trophy too, since you asked so nicely. And a pat on the head for doing a pretty good job so far
-
You won't find it so great when survivors start hard countering it by not doing gens
-
No he should not be used as any sort of blueprint for buffing killers. A lot of killers could use buffs, but strong killers should have downsides and/or take some effort to learn, none of them need to be turned into someone your cat could 4k with on her 2nd or 3rd go.

What makes you think DS is strictly anti-tunnel?
For the record, they are invincible if you choose to tunnel. If survivors are magically disabled for doing actions, then so should killer perks. It is amazing killers think Tinkerer is fine as it is, a perk that literally PUNISHES the other side for doing the objective. No counterplay.
Sorry sluzzbucket but you were posting about playing twins at rank 1 the other day, which makes you a killer too.
-
I'm getting confused now. So nurse isn't M1 but blight is? And people are saying hillbilly is?
If the definition is "not able to get a down with M2" then nurse, spirit, blight and Oni are M1 killers right? And trapper with honing stone or legion with Frank's mixtape (lol) technically aren't?
Or if it's having a power that helps you in a chase that's almost all killers, although the extent varies a lot
-
I'm sorry @HittingOnHook , I'm too deep in my slumber to perceive the truth. Years of media manipulation, fluoride hidden in the toothpaste and CIA beaming blasphemous images of a round earth into my brainwaves mean I can never be anything more than an unwitting servant of the shadowy forces that control asymmetrical horror games
-
Sadly I've never played against him (one player trying to practice him who got 0 hooks doesn't count)
I'm loving playing him except for indoor maps and 🌽 which are hell
-
Yea
-
Ancient survivors would probably think gens are demonic creatures and wouldn't even go near them. Plague is probably equally confused but she doesn't have to try and repair them, just whack em

I would argue that only an organised SWF can beat a half decent Freddy if he commits to those cancerous stacked slowdown builds. Also taking the most boring part of DBD and extending it further (gens) isnt exactly fun to go against. The weirdest part is that freddy doesnt even need that slowdown. His snares cna be insanely strong when placed properly and he has free map wide mobility. I feel like most freddys are just sadists who want to troll.
I wouldn't mind going against Freddy so much if they weren't generally such meta-slaves. Paintbrush, swing chains, or other slowdown add-ons, ruin undying tinkerer and an exciting 4th perk selected from a very limited list. Possibly an ebony as well because that default meg gave you a dirty look in the lobby. And let the esports commence
-
If he could juggle or something while talking that might be nice. Or dye his hair and beard pink before appearing, bright colours tend to hold my attention.
-
I keep gravitating more towards killer. At least then I only have to deal with survivor BS, not survivor -and- killer BS
-
Thanks Karu I watched the first half but then ended up going to watch Christine with the ball & chain (better than I remembered)

Freddy has some of the easiest counterplay in game, I think your issues lie more with how he plays rather than his strength
I have no issues with him or any killer being strong -although I'd prefer licenced killers/perks aren't on the stronger side because the whole ptw thing- but I prefer the stronger killers require a higher level of skill, practice, or strategy than what Freddy takes. That's just how I feel about it though.

I think Freddy should be nerfed, as someone who played him a lot, old and new, and who plays against him a lot. All the most engaging strong killers have drawbacks to their power. Hag is strong, huntress is strong, but they have weaknesses to them. Even spirit who is more insane I feel tense when in a chase with her. With Freddy I just want him to finish me off asap so I can have an interesting game.

First of all, it would be appreciatable to doodle the names.
Secondly, I feel you. Rank 8 against rank 1 swfs..... When you get into purple ranks it's basically being in red ranks without being able to brag about it.
Lol yeah purple ranks are red ranks without the (mild) bragging rights

Because some very naughty PH players went over to the cages straightaway to either hook the caged survivors instantly without fear of DS or block them to prevent any rescues. Most experienced PH players rarely use them anyway.

I don't think Mikey is psychopathic, and the movies never hint he is psychotic. They always send the message through the Dr. Loomis character (Mikey's psychiatrist) that he's simply pure evil.
Not in the sense that he's completely deranged or out of control, but like he's not capable of giving a sh1t about you or anyone else. Also I love Dr. Loomis <3
And am sad no new Halloween this year :(
-
I don't like a lot of ethan's decisions but I don't really care about the tone or register he uses. Being a good entertainer isn't essential to being a game dev
-
Demo for brawn, pig for brains. Amanda Young is also pretty loyal in her own f'ed up way. Leatherface too but a chainsaw isn't really a good weapon irl and would be hard to communicate with. Freddy, Myers and GF are just psychopathic, can't be trusted. PH is like a specific manifestation of guilt personal to one wife-smothering weirdo, I dunno how useful that is in practice.
-
If half of the stuff mentioned or hinted at goes through (demo add-ons, huntress add-ons, frame drop fix, clown buff, wraith buff, Freddy nerf, ds nerf) I'll be happy
-
Let's all just agree to nerf wraith and leave it at that.

Possibly, I think I made comments along those lines
-
Nasty killers in your area will do anything for a hook, and we do mean anything

Might see them more (or at all in my case) once they're less buggy and not completely countered by lockers. I still don't think you'll see them much anyway, probably more than hag but less than demo.

I read you guys said that rank gap 5 is not bad.
how could it be not bad?
rank gap 5 is literally the limit the system can do it's worst.
if you are not a beginner.
your rank should higher than rank 10.
so rank gap 5 is literally half of the range and you guy can say it is not bad?
It's "not bad" because the system can, and sometimes does, put all rank ones against an actual rank 20. I've seen it with my own eyeballs.
So while it's not good at least op is a purple and not some poor noob who brings nothing but tier one monstrous shrine
-
I judged blight way too early, thought he looked weak and unfun, but started playing him yesterday and am having a great time. Haven't started using add-ons or good perks yet either (don't have anything unlocked on pc yet)
I could've done without the game and lerys maps back to back tho :/
But new ormond was a hoot, slammed a few times on the top floor and rushed off the side to smack some horrified Claudette's face in, hitting those long dashes feels gooood
-
rip. Take it as a compliment I guess?
