Even when the dc penalties get turned off its not as bad as when I started playing when most matches seemed to have at least one dc in them. Usually the first survivor after being downed, sometimes the killer if ruin got blown up straightaway, sometimes something else.
Also games that started with only 3 or even less survivors which I don't miss either

Victor has no terror radius by default. Idk how I can or was "abusing" this when I was just playing
Name and shaming isn't nice :)
Oh it's you, you make legion look fun

I'm surprised that hasn't been patched out of the game, considering how long it's been a bug.
Love is a complicated thing, and a labour of love even more so
-
Not a new bug but have been getting the random "iron will" effect very often since the new patch, on myself and others
-
Wait server side hits are back on?
Also welcome back @azame I thought you were perma'd
-
Go the discord route and send him to his room until he agrees to take it back

Ok now I've actually played new ormond a bunch of times on both sides I like it. Seems pretty balanced and it's a lot prettier, still feels larger than it actually is. Love the wind and snow effects. Scratchmarks are even worse tho :/ Death of old ormond is the best thing to come out of this patch.
Edit: I also christened new ormond by getting adept cum goblin there
-
I haven't played yet since the release but I've still only gone against blight once ๐ญ

Youve sunk 54 days of your life into this game and still ask for killer nerfs on a weekly basis, but as soon as they slightly nerf flashlights you criticize them for that? Lol....
You're a green rank telling me I have no clue "how the game plays at rank 1"? You a funny guy huh
Are you two really having a green vs purple rank slapfight
-
They finally nerfed keys
-
If you're going against four survivors all bringing technician I'm sure you'll manage to kill them somehow.

The only thing game breaking is how much easier it is for killers. There are huge deadzones on the maps, no pallets for a hundred miles. Most pallets on the new Ormond are actual suicide zones. The map designer should be fired!
I played one game as survivor on the new Ormond map and I legit turned off the game to take a breather because it was so tilting. This is a major issue, the tiny amount of bugs on the killer side are minuscule here.
When I saw Ormond didn't have a safe pallet every 3 metres I too took leave of my senses and had to retire to the fainting couch before my husband revived me with some smelling salts

Jake tho

lmao
Don't forget to nominate them for the labour of love award btw
-
Spirit should also be able to see survivors while phasing and nurse should be 115

Using bad matchmaking as the primary means to justify why people cheat is singularly ( and subjectively) placing the blame on the Devs while absolving any actual or potential misdeeds of the cheaters themselves.
So while you yourself are strawmanning the original argument of this thread, you're also projecting that behavior onto others who are only offering opinions? Sweets, that's narcissism. Strawmanning is a counter argument or derailing comment made with the objective to lead people away from the central conversation, so as to discredit or steer attention away from the topic of discussion.
That's what YOU did. @Aneurysm simply called your justification ridiculous, which it is. That's an opinion, and could also be seen as a direct rebuttal to the central theme of your argument. Not strawmanning. On top of that, you call them a sophist for offering an opinion? Sounds like a case of pot trying to name plate a kettle.
Thank <3
Although he's banned now, and there's still so many things about logical fallacies and lexical categories that he never got to teach me :(

I miss old Freddy sometimes but they probably shouldn't bring him back. They shouldn't leave him as he is now either, all strengths and no weaknesses isn't the most engaging thing ever.

The only way to properly use the word is as a noun. I suggest you look up the definition, because you obviously don't know how the word is used or what it means.
But go ahead, continue to strawman me or use incorrect red herrings if you prefer that.
God it's like trying to talk to a sentient fedora. And yes yes I know argumentum ad hominem

pretty sure you're not supposed to play nurse

Don't strawman me sophist, that wasn't what I said at all.
If matchmaking was fixed bad players would face other bad players and could win because everyone else is also bad.
Currently bad players often face good players, meaning they won't win unless they cheat.
I don't think I've ever seen sophist used as a noun before, so thanks I enjoyed that.
Still I doubt cheating is particularly related to matchmaking at all, games with decent matchmaking suffer from it as well.
-
@JoeyBob said:
People wouldn't have to cheat to win if matchmaking wasn't broken.
If matchmaking worked they'd be paired with people of similar skill levels.
Matchmaking is ######### but that's a ridiculous justification
-
When a teammate unhooks you then sneaks off to hide when the killer comes back, especially when you're death hook and the killer hasn't even seen them yet.
-
Interesting argument. Pity that forum reading comprehension seems to have been nerfed recently.
-
You have a point, too much frustration is directed at players for using this stuff but it wasn't us who put it in the game (and lets it stay there). Expecting people to just not use broken stuff that is there and available for use out of some sense of honour or fairness, in a PvP game, is always going to be futile.

I had kind of a similar thing where there was a meg who had no idea what she was doing (she could run in straight lines without looking behind her, and throw pallets, and that was about it). All the other survivors got themselves killed protecting her (I was going to give her hatch/door anyway, and I did) then I saw it was rainbow ๐ ranks, Meg bring the only red one.
-
The snarling is extremely necessary when there's an afk wraith and I don't have spine chill. The others can do gens, I'm getting a flashlight out of a chest, turning up my headphone volume and going on a wraith hunt
-
A plague build without sloppy butcher? Pfft
Okay more seriously I haven't played plague since before descend beyond, but I mostly run all gen or slowdown perks - without healing gens get slammed and you have to be really aggressive. I wouldn't recommend I'm all ears, something snowbally like infectious fright maybe? (all her own perks are great on her)
-
Trapper. I can watch him put a trap down and will manage to end up in it anyway. Or I can bring small game and run over thinking there's a nice totem for me to smash

When a blendette tries to boop me you'll see the evidence pig needs nerfed :p

This game is too easy for [X] even a new [X] player can win against any [Y] player no matter how experienced the [Y] player is. [X] players have all the strongest perks, the devs favour them and they get buffed all the time while [Y] gets nothing but nerfs. And I'm actually a [X] main before you all start.

It works great against people with medkits that have to heal in a conventional way after being hit, it can help you with kicking the key out of survivor's hands if he wasn't smart enough to leave it somewhere, it helps you against flashlight bully squads which are annoying even if you know how to deal with them. That's enough reasons.
Bonus reasons:
survivors will often get themselves killed trying to get their item back
If you make them drop their item before a window they might accidentally try and pick it up if they try to vault it again
-
I dunno if I'll like them much but I approve of them trying to make unique killers.

Just for the record, this is not a SWF-only thing. I sometimes use the pre-game chat to convince everyone to swap to the same character if 2-3 of us are one character and then 2-1 are something else.
I'll probably switch if everyone else is the same character, gotta put on a show of unity for the killer.
On lobby dodging maybe if I'm a hag Vs lots of flashlights or something. But dodging doesn't really matter like it did pre-servers and pre-crossplay when survivor queues were like 15 minutes AND you'd get sent back to the home screen AND if you were in a swf you'd get separated.

There's no need to attack the Dev team here, expecially when the aim is to make fun perks, not ones people will routinely never swap out, or that would push the game in a pay to win direction.
It's a bit late for that

I think they will also fo the following:
- Hex: Undying will be nerfed to only proc once
- Clown will get a nerf due to how powerful he apparently is
- Deathslinger will get a nerf on his ability to fake his power
- MMR will be cancelled
- Winter event will be cancelled
- "Start Game Uncollapse" will be cancelled
- The twins will have all the toy addons changed to not be baby related and Victor will be given a really long beard
- The next patch will introduce something that wasn't in the PTB which will be a completely random buff/nerf to something balanced that upsets either all the killers or all the survivors.
Victor will have a long beard, a walking stick to hit survivors with, his toy add-ons will be replaced with werther's originals, minion memes and tramadol, and whenever a survivor stomps him he'll say "f*cking millennials" before he dies
-
Because balancing is a long and complicated process. First you identify something that shouldn't be in the game. Then you wait several years so as not to anger the gods. You have to warm up to the main event by nerfing several other things that don't need it, and buffing some other things that make them undeniably better although still not anything anyone would use. And then finally you're ready to...wait what were we doing again? Oh yes, the huntress update. Holding a hatchet for too long will now make your arm tired and you will unable to throw hatchets until you spend 15 seconds doing stretches.
-
Had a match recently where Feng got on a gen with me when I had it at 70% and I was impressed she wasn't blowing up gens left right and centre like her teammates until I realised our gen was now at 30%. I also forgot technician even existed and my first thought was a new bug that made gen repair go backwards, the survivor nerf we really needed

Holy ######### I was the Steve lmao
Seeing as you're here as well what do you think of bloodlust?
Also nice work on that window
-
I'm sorry but that video doesn't help your argument at all. If it was a jungle gym or a very safe loop maybe but there's nothing particularly strong about that car loop, and as for that fence window I've never seen any survivor get so much value out of it. Also unless you specifically wanted to practice chasing a decent survivor you should've just given up on the Steve and saved him til later.
-
I'm still on the fence about bloodlust but I think it hurts experienced survivors more than new ones, new ones will usually avoid chases, throw all pallets immediately and go down before bloodlust kicks in.
-
1) I was playing with it turned off and never realised it had been turned off already so idk what that says. It was a few games each as nurse, billy, wraith and legion
2) It should probably be changed.
3) I still feel some killers in some circumstances might need bloodlust 1 (and some never do), so maybe it should be just be something for certain killers. Bloodlust 2 and 3 aren't necessary for anyone imo. But I don't want it to end up a nerf just for weaker killers and have everyone just switch to Freddy and spirit, I could do without seeing more of those two, especially the former.
4) Had a pretty chill week with uni stuff and my partner's getting back in a few hours after being away working for weeks so I'm excite
