I'm still a baby nurse (idk what I was before. a foetus nurse?) but I also recommend breaking the plaid flannel habit, speaking as a former addict myself. It's very nice but you don't really want to be focusing on the place you want to blink to as much as the survivor you're after, which may or may not be the same place
-
Don't go into games expecting a win. This is gonna sound like weird advice but train yourself to lose by running the worst builds possible, especially with meme addons and killers you arent good with. I've done multiple games in a row as padded jaws trapper, I've done perkless old bubba with speed limiter and a haddonfield offering. Losses with that stuff don't feel too bad because there's not much else to expect (although wins are a pretty big ego boost tbh)
That's what helped me anyway, it might not be as helpful for others but you never know

When I read that update, I see them saying the updated tutorials are what was coming out with that mid chapter, which they did. I don't think the offline bot mode was intended for that specific update, they just mention they are working on it because it is a similar feature to the tutorials.
They also announced it in the anniversary stream, when the trapper bot matches were already out.

I see the charm a lot, I've seen all 5 players with it more than once . I also "main both sides" personally

Still don’t understand how they’re getting so many complaints. Do survivors want easy mode that badly?
I don't think most do. It's just the ones that think trapper should be 110 or something are the ones that never shut the ######### up

It’ll be funny if they fix her audio bugs only for a new bug to arise that allows her to see survivors while phasing.
The forums would literally explode.
That would be horrible, but also funny
-
Hopefully they'll fix her audio bugs soon so wraith and blight can be left alone

I agree. Let them leave. Let me leave. If the game has been more than seven minutes long and my three teammates haven't managed to do a single ######### gen in all that time, I want out. I am forced to stay in or get banned, and I can't kill myself on hook anymore. To be honest, I play the game less and less because of these things that only help killers and reward them for making the game worse for survivors.
Managing to spin the DC penalty as a survivor nerf is actually quite impressive.

This is one of those very few times that there ought to be a code of honour book for all players (not survivor/killer rulebooks). A code whereby players can deal with rare, yet annoying, events.
In this case, if a survivor doesn't want to participate, they should be exposed to a torturous cycle of killer knocking them down, then survivors reviving them, only to knock them down again. Yes, there are lots of holes in this, but it's still fun to think of.
If I'm killer and notice it, I just knock them into dying and leave them to rot. Should they want to waste everyone's time, then I'll waste their time. If they get bored, they can dc and take the penalty.
I've come across the situation you've described so rarely I can only remember one occassion. I was Wraith, and my invisibility allowed me to watch as one survivor repeatedly fail skill checks and make loud noises around 1 survivor in particular. I made myself known, and he tried to escape but failed. I picked him up, took him to the basement and dropped him on the floor, then signalled to that other survivor who followed me to leave. They did and started doing gens, whilst I babysat the survivor until they ultimately dc'd. They were a different platform so got no salt, but I reckon they were raging!
That's exactly what happened last time a survivor tried it in one of my games. After lots of teabagging, pointing, nodding and we and the killer had sucked her dry of points the killer took pity on her and decided to just rehook her. But I wasn't quite done so i flashlight saved her (you're welcome nea) and let the cycle begin anew
-
I'll play her occasionally but I don't hate myself that much to do it often
-
What makes you think you won't see red rank survivors at rank 15?

Than you should play on Switch. There is no chat. Really calm 😄
No chat and no salty messages, I'd consider it if I hadn't seen what switch performance looks like.
-
Good for you. Your health and well-being are more important than any game. I've seen too many people carry on playing despite it (it usually being certain elements of the community) making them miserable.

I dont feel spirit is as brain dead, easy to win as survivors claim she is. I completely loath it when the game gives me a spirit daily. I switch those out. I can't phase for crap and Nurse is my 2nd most used killer.
I used to play her a fair bit and I rarely struggled unless most of the survivors had iron will (I didn't use stridor)
After starting to play blight and nurse after her the increase in difficulty was pretty dramatic. But difficulty can be subjective I guess, I can't do a thing with Oni.
-
Freddy was never top 3, he was just low effort high reward. Even spirit looked like a vaguely skillful killer in comparison.

imagine being put in time-out by a video game in real-time . it should be lessened , its just a game . 30 minutes is more than enough , you never sat in time-out for 30 minutes at recess before have you angel?
It's not hard to imagine, with the amount of other multiplayer games that do it.
-
I feel less inclined to help well a match is going south recently. We were winning one yesterday (Oni, 4 gens done, only 2-3 hooks on us) one David gets downed, the other two start trying to loop around his slugged body and quickly go down as well, he looks for me for a while, as soon he picks up one of the slugs, I charge for the David to get him up. He hadn't recovered. You can guess the rest. So in future I might just go breaking dull totems and rummaging through chests and let them throw the match in peace.
Off-topic but I never had this crap when MMR was on, now it's constant.
-
If you're useless at blight then go for it, you'll definitely get more time to practice
If you're good at blight...is the possibility of losing occasionally so terrifying? Because if you're half-decent at him you can run whatever crap you like and on most maps, against most teams, you'll be fine
-
I only played plague in that period of time when the instaheal nerf had been announced and there were 2-3 per match

Blight has superior mobility to Billy. And heaven forbid that the poor #3 killer in the game who has insane addons actually has to M1 loop sometimes like 80% of dbd killers.
Nothing wrong with having to loop as an m1 killer occasionally as long as you're 115. Try out a game as one of the 110s and have some chases without using your power at all, it's not much fun. Make sure to include the killer shack as blight's collision is completely messed up on a load of them.

Why isn’t Billy 110? Oh right, both of their powers are damn near useless at strong loops. Go ahead, play Blight at 110 on Hawkins. I WISH so deeply I could see you even try, it’d be hilarious. What a joke.
Or being a 110 on the Ormond ice skating rink
-
If you're struggling with infinite L T loops then @Lord_Tony has some good advice on dealing with them
-
I don't really mind any ranged power so long as the survivor gets an indication it's being readied, so basically all of them except slinger. I do feel we kinda have enough of them at this point though.

You're more then welcome to stop by stream and watch me playing killer though
Drop by my stream later babe, I'll show you some real killer main gameplay
-
I have opinions on noed but I've said them a million times before, at some point you want to argue about new things y'know

1) legacy cosmetics look like crap
2) there's no need for it anymore
Legacy has a very specific purpose, which is for hackers to have their own outfit. Also for old players or something

Ranged attacks are not counted in the free second chance update and it looks like victor's pounce is counted as a range attack.
No point spouting bs of the survivor did x before the killer did x therefore xxxxx i get rollbacks no matter how high the survivors ping is compared to mine.
"Second chance update" lol
Are you a connoisseur of McDonald's wifi as well or are you more the burger king type? I rarely get my hits through pallets rolled back as killer but we don't all have access to advanced technology such as ethernet cables
-
Bhvr pays us to complain, I actually think console performance is great and adding 40 pallets to the game was a pretty cool manoeuvre

This is a big reason why people want things nerfed because they get “overused”. We nerf things that rarely ever get used.
RIP Gearhead, so close to becoming a meta perk.

Probably super difficult to code unless the game was coded with a replay system in mind from the very start.
Given how every patch is super buggy I am going to assume they don’t have the time and it would be very low priority since they don’t get money for making it
R6S made one and afaik it wasn't planned from the beginning
-
Two of my least favourite killers to go against are trapper and clown.
-
Eh, maybe with the minotaur skin
-
They said it during the anniversary live stream then went silent, the only other interpretation was they were announcing what was already in the game...
-
It's strange that responding to someone raging is questioned more than the raging itself. I generally won't antagonise someone who's going off in chat but I don't think it's something that should be normalised.
Losing with dignity is something that should be taught, and can be learned, at a very young age.

Why can’t you silly survivors just work on other gens and slowly chisel away at the 3-gen when the killer is distracted by chase?
If he decides to protect the 3 gen all game and never leaves it, you can potentially have 4 gens done with 0 hooks.
That's usually the play yeah but have you looked at the screenshot?
-
I'd imagine so, I think blindness affects the aura reading from counterforce. I'm also interested if/how it synergises with undying
-
Why would a casual mode in dbd not be filled with tryhards, smurfs and throwers, like casual modes in other games?
-
Sometimes a survivor gets part of a gen done before corrupt intervention kicks in, it's very strange
-
If the devs intend for killers to be able to see and prepare for survivor items then they should get rid of last second switching
If they don't intend for this they should make survivor items invisible

Killers already have the huge advantage of seeing survivors and their items before the game. But that's not enough. We should get rid of chests too. Survivors might loot something killers weren't ready for. We shouldn't be able to swap items either. It might throw off killers. They need even more help, apparently. Nothing is enough for killers. Literally nothing.
I think this is the point where I'm meant to say I actually play survivor more and then put forward another argument but honestly who cares at this point. The side you like is full of decent people and the side you don't are entitled brats who are slowly killing the game, you cracked the code gg wp

on PS4 its kinda .. forbidden to chat with any 1 there .. u can oy add as friends
after 300 hours playing dbd i still have 1 friend only .. and we never meet LoL
I used to get a lot of salty messages on ps4, then switched those off and started getting friend requests with a salty message attached instead.
I usually just accepted, waited about a week then started inviting them to swf. They'd usually forgotten who I was by then.

It’s no different to survivors getting perk shamed for using DS, BT etc.
I mean it's all perk-shaming but those perks are a lot better. It's more like shouting at a survivor for using aftercare or something.
OP could've used their lightborn slot on something like noed instead, I'm sure that would've gone down well too
-
The dispute is probably a result of the devs covering demo in a substance that might be referred to in postgame chat as "###" Maybe the concept art looked a bit different

I feel like most of the people who claim they had a positive experience during the recent test only feel that way because as survivor they had killers who were good enough to get the easy hits/hooks but not good enough to 4K slug them at 4-3 gens left & as Killer they probably enjoyed getting more frequent inexperienced survivors that fall for easy tricks like moonwalking every single time.
Im not trying to insult anybody because I don’t have the highest MMR in the world myself, I just feel more people are saying it’s a good system solely because their matches were easier aka “more fun” rather than because they really believe the system is healthier for the game and better compliments the emblem system. Of course it’s a positive experience when you’re playing with your usual rank 1-3 buddies with 1k+ hours each going against a rank 11 huntress that doesn’t have the perks they want/needs yet. “But that’s how the current system works too” - Exactly, thats why I don’t get the hype for these recent testing periods. On paper it sounds like a great idea, but the way the emblem system currently works and the lack of context for a binary system like sbmm doesn’t work in an unbalanced game that largely relies on RNG
That's not why it was a positive experience for me. I went against good killers, better than what I usually go against, but what really made the difference was drastically better teammates.
-
They don't like this kind of unique perk interaction with killer powers so I'd imagine they'll nerf hoarder and Franklin's when it goes live.
-
My solo queue teammates were so much better with MMR on.
Like I don't demand perfection or anything, as in all survivors must be able to loop the killer for 12 gens and get at least 3 flashlight saves one of which must be via CJ tech, but holy badword the crap I was getting yesterday.
3 survivors alive, 3 genned against a legion, about to finish the last gen which we could have managed -together- but the (red rank) claud runs in terror against the (frenzied) legion approaching us (frenzied legions, the most deadly thing in the game, clearly) So the game drags on another 10+ stupid minutes after. Meg dies, the gen gets popped, I'm the last one trying to get a gen done while claud skulks near the hatch, I die, he gets to her before I'm fully sacrificed (good) and after all that, she DCs
I don't mind dying, or losing, unless it's in extremely stupid and unnecessary circumstances like that just described. I've been spoiled by my MMR teammates honestly because I am struggling to tolerate this crap anymore. SWF and killer only til it's back on for good I think.

Exposed ultras are annoying and unimaginative, agreed. I also don't generally like aura reading ones either unless they're especially interesting - clown's two are a good example of what I mean with both. Things that change how the power works is what I'm into.
