While not a bad idea as such I do have one concern.
While this trial mode is active what is to stop each survivor just waiting out the 2 mins?
When gens go that slow they aren't really worth doing or just overall boring so they may just stealth around doing totems or finding chests or hiding in lockers moving around.
Since the video does state ineraction between both side is what is the most fun aspect (I would agree to an extent but some do prefer to try and not be found) the begining interaction has a high chance to be easily worked around by certain playstyles. It seems to go against this interaction idea when it could end up just 2 mins of looking for the killer.
The same thing stopping survivors from waiting out corrupt intervention

Do you have a video of it?

I haven't cared about Fortnite since Season 2 when shooting as just praying to R.N.Jesus. I apparently wasn't devoted enough.
Fortnite has seasons?

When you add competitive modes, though, that mentality does kinda get put on hold. And as far as I've heard, there has been no official M&K for console. I could be wrong, but then again, I've been playing console for 18 years, with Crash Team Racing as my first game back on the PS1, so I could be called a traditionalist in that sense.
If I'm not mistaken, fortnite has it. And is one of the most played competitive games these days.
It's easier to not add m/k support to it, but it's also easier to not play.
Easier =/= better or right.
Easier shouldn't be a factor on what should/shouldn't be added

I'll gladly take a ds to take down your health state that you just gained. And now you have 2 less perks.👍

The rng for pig is already really simple. When you get a trap on your head, the key to it is placed in one of the boxes on the map. It doesn't matter how many boxes you search or how many skill checks you hit. The only thing that matters is what box you go to. It's not decided while you're searching the box.
I'm aware

An idea I'd recently had for Legion, though one I concede probably isn't feasible, even if it could be tempered to not be OP:
When multiple Survivors are Deep Wounded, it summons bot-controlled Legions to pursue the Survivors the player is not actively chasing until downed, mended, or a time limit passes. Their attacks won't down directly, but will be like when hitting Deep Wounds with Feral Frenzy. Alternatively, they can't down survivors, but can push you off objectives, or their attacks don't damage you but instead make you scream to alert the Killer like the Doctor or Iron Maiden.
Another idea, given this idea was inspired by a video that describes how the Pac-Man ghosts move, each Legion acts differently. Frank's attack are Deep Wound Frenzy hits, Susie pushes people off objectives, Joey makes Survivors scream, dunno for a fourth.
I've always felt that not using Legion's gimmick of "actually four people" was a wasted opportunity. This could make them do the one thing no other Killer can: chase multiple survivors at once.
Something like this could be fun, but I don't know how to make it work... :p

With how quiet they've been I'm inclined to think it's licensed, so this very well could be the case. It could also be "The Tank" from L4D, which would fit the clues we've been given.
If it's the tank, I literally want survivors flying dozens of meters forward with every hit.
Also... I rather have the smoker... it would be a new mechanic in dbd.

I've seen a pattern, if the item is very close to fully used (you can barely see the white in the bar) that's the only time they get lost.
Was this the case?

That the trapper does not have two traps even to this day is scandalous. He was my first killer. If you rank up to 1 as trapper you have my respect.
As a surv i hate playing trapper almost as much as the doc. With the trapper you are never safe. Traps are unpredictable at times and predictable at others. That is his power.
I like the huntress' less fast as your hatchets dwindle. This might actually make people more careful with their aim and improve players if they are penalized for sloppy hatchets.
It's the other way around, the less hatchets you have the faster you go.

I don't play nurse, but people say it's great on her.
I like it huntress, better fov is always good when you wanna shoot people

Insane? No.
Better? Yes.
Starting with all traps would be a huge buff to him, but it will not make him better than freddy or billy.
I still stand by of making the default amount of traps he can carry to be 2, and see where it goes.
You can, you only see the aura if there's something in the way. So no aura = you're looking at it.
But having the aura 100% of the time would be great.

Although yes, having 4 traps in one area is hard to counter, that means he has 2 traps throughiut the rest of the map.
Currently I remain pro start with all traps rather than being negative due to the recent changes to Ruin which was considered a neccesity for him setting traps.
Not by everyone, I didn't use ruin on him before and still don't do it now.
Starting with all his traps is something that needs testing...

Look up war craft 3 and over watch hero bans.
To sum up:
Wc3: they just lied to everyone about that remake
To full explain:
Ow: the comp scene has been asking for a moba ban system. Which is where before a match each person on a team bans 1 character from the game. To ban certain op characters and meta. Also forcing players to learn multiple characters.
Blizzard decided that they will put in a ban list they choose weekly of rotating heroes.
The reason OW wanted the bans is because certain heroes are just broken on certain maps.
This isn't the first time they ruined it as well. Tired of the competitive scene playing their game wrong they banned free choices and instead limit each team to 2 dps, tanks, and healers because before people were running mostly tanks because dps suck in the game after constant nerfs
It's really a fall from grace... I was always of the opinion of blizzard being was this amazing company that somehow always made amazing games, with great stories and just beautiful cinematics. (You play diablo II or starcraft brood war today and those cinematics still look good). Warcraft never really atracted me, but I watched a let's play, I know how good it looked...I know how the story goes.
Like, the game could appear to be crap from the trailer or something, but seeing the blizzard logo was a seal of "we tried our damn hardest to make this game, and we made sure it became everything we wanted it to be".
Now it really doesn't mean anything...😕

No killer perks need to be very much stronger than survivor perks.
In general I agree, but kindred is fine.
It only activates if someone is hooked, meaning the killer is advancing his objective, and it doesn't change the killers plan in general.
"Hooked someone, let's find someone else."
Hell, if you go into into a locker to dodge bbq you won't even see where the killer went. Which is already kinda hard because if the bubble that appears during a hook showing where the survivor is.

Kindred nerf is that no one uses it. And others don't realize you have it either.
Also, doesn't need a nerf. Why would it?

I don't think you some of you guys are listening to what I'm saying. I hear you that you say it takes 3 full people plus some. What I'm saying, is that was not the case in this trial. It did not take the effort you are describing to achieve what he did in this trial. I don't know if there's something wrong or if there is a bug or what. One other person was with me working on a gen and he was nowhere in sight of that gen. He actually had just attacked someone on the other side of the map. By the time we were nearly finished with that 1st gen, he was maxed out and insta killing people.
If that's the case, why did you blame that one guy?
"Apparently there was one survivor who just fed Mike Meyers until he was at his highest rank and due to the addons, this game was over in about 5-6 mintues."
Why not just say you found a bug?
-
It quite literally takes 3 full people + some to reach tier 3 when using both of these addons.
No, it's not the fault of the "one guy". Your entire team, including you, allowed him to get it.
-
Yes.
The killer can't be in the entire map.
I rather try to find it than risk the killer choosing the right gate to check.

Well , if you think about it , the same can be said about "gen rush" (among other things).
Why do the devs need to change gen times because killers "dislike it"? They don't need listen to them, right? Well , they are doing a good job so far then. Well done devs.
Seems like a lot of killers need to grow up.
Correct. They don't need to change anything because someone dislikes it.
But they do need to address the problems people bring up when they ask for gen speed to be changed.
Go on, show everyone you actually listen to people and say what they say the problem is. Unless you can't because you don't actually listen to people, only to those that agree with you. Meaning this little post of your is just a childish "wah wah, if I can't have it, you can't either" rant.
Go on, I'll fact check.

Slugging isnt outplaying survivors. Its outdoing basic game mechanics and just scummy play as killer. The only thing that needs to be fixed is that slugging shouldnt be possible like it actually is. Its not fun to lay on the ground half the game til a sweaty killer got his "will".
No.
Slugging is part of the game.
It doesn't need to change because you dislike it.
Grow up.

@Mikeasaurus said:
You can't call it Gen rushing when they were just doing the objective. And if 3 at once went off, that means they each went to seperate gens. You can't seriously keep blaming gen rushing when it's clear the speeds are unbalanced. We just have to deal with it and play the best we can
Guess we can't call it zerg rush either because they were just doing the objective and killing the opponent...right?
Certainly "rush" isn't used to indicate stuff is going faster than it should or that people are using tactics to speed up their progress as much as possible... no no no... it just means people are doing the objective. Obviously.
Can we stop this "it ain't gen rushing because doing gens is the objective" crap? It doesn't help anyone, it's just a deflection "you're calling it something I disagree with, so I'll focus on that instead of the main point".
It's like people think " a rose by any other name..." only applies to compliments or something and get really hang up on it.
What else do you wanna call 4 organized survivors bringing good toolboxes and proove thyself trying to open the gates and leave asap besides genrush? Because it doesn't matter what you wanna call it, it will still be 4 organized survivors bringing good toolboxes and proove thyself trying to open the gates and leave asap.
So stop focusing on what you wanna call it and focus on the actual point people are making.
@SanityNight 5 minutes is a loooooooooooong chase. Legit surprised only 3 gens popped.

Took me a while before I said "ok, I'm not terrible at this"
I still can't beat good swf teams. They need to ######### up.
Took a while before I could loop somewhat efficiently.
Still run towards walls sometimes.
Playing since august.

Talking about bans is against the rules guys. Just saying

Just make legion be the same they were on launch

I mostly play solo. But I know I'm the odd one out.
But as killer it absolutely feels like I'm always going agains swf. Idk if they are, but feels like it. Always at least 3 red ranks too.

When I'm survivor every doc does this without fail. I bring them to a pretty safe pallet, I drop early to avoid a shock and they bloodlust while shocking me to get a hit, it's very annoying and bloodlust is a stupid mechanic to help killers succeed on poor map design anyway.
Correct. Hopefully the maps will get good and we will be able to get rid of bloodlust them.
But you can vault a safe pallet back and forth until he kicks it, like, don't actually loop, just vault.

The only iridescent shard killer I don't like is clown.
Honestly, there's no wrong answer. Pick a killer because you think he's fun instead of wanting their perks and you'll do fine.

@LiunUK said:
probably would not change too much as most survivors cleanse dull totems now to counter noed but it would not be a bad idea for a new killer perk maybe it would work like this:
hex: jinx
when a hex totem other than this totem is cleansed hex: jinx will copy the effects of the cleansed totem for 80/100/120 seconds
now imagine combining this effect with haunted grounds XD
Haunted ground would last 2 minutes.
Because haunted grounds and jinx bith start at the same time 🤷♂️
Which I think would be fair. 2 perk slots for 2 minutes of exposed you can't control.
-
As legion, if you get blinded during a vault(pallet) you lose feral frenzy but do not take the stun, so you can imediatly attack.
As trapper, if someone goes inside a locker because of DS, just put a trap in front of it. If someone is in a strong loop, fake putting a trap down so they leave, or do put the trap down if they don't fall for it.
As huntress, don't flick unless you are confident you can hit it 100%, move your aim slowly preferably don't even move your aim, guide your target to your aim. (This is hard to explain in text...🤔).
As survivor, look back at the killer while running, no, it doesn't matter if you don't have DH or they don't have projectiles, LOOK AT HIM/HER.(obviously not 100% of the time, know where you're going)
-
@Carlosylu said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1053755#Comment_1053755
The difference radicates in the psychologycal impact of a non dropped pallet in the killer's behaviour, a killer who respects pallets is gonna give you 1-3 extra loops every time they stop close to the pallet cause they think you're gonna drop it, and a killer who doesn't respect pallets will hit you but you're gonna get a free stun out of dropping the pallet on his head now that you know he's not gonna respect it. If you drop it before being hit the killer will destroy it and then you can still loop him around shack, but there will be no pallet to apply pressute to the killer on those next loops after the pallet drop
I rather play with the mindset of "the killer will play optimally" instead of "he will respect the pallet".
If you see that the killer is respecting every pallet, by all means, loop until he learns better.
But good killers want the pallet to drop, and in my experience, they will attack you under it. Because getting "a hit and a stun" beats "no hit and no stun"(with a pallet dropped)
And getting a stun now and getting rid of the pallet early still beats no stun and the pallet stays to late game.
-
Nothing. I don't wanna touch my controller with "food hands"
If I eanna eat, I stop playing.

I think I didn't write enough about that one, I think shack pallet should only be used to stun or prevent a hit from the killer if you're gonna be downed on next hit regardless of in which hook state you're in, that's what I meant by "doomed", and all of this based in this logic:
You can loop the killer 2 "rounds" if you take 1 hit and don't drop pallet but continue to loop the killer there and then drop the pallet to prevent yourself being downed cause of 2nd hit by doing so.
I just can't stand people who loop 1 "round", drop pallet without being injured even once and then proceed to leave the shack useless and without using the 2 god loop "rounds" the shack can actually provide.
Is this better?
What's the different between
1- looping shack and droping pallet before first hit, but continue to loop shack until hurt and goes to another loop.
2- loop shack until hurt, then loop until pallet drop.
Answer- you only get 1 chance in the second. If you miss a turn or something in the first one, you can eat a hit and reset the loop. Meaning you can go for more agressive loops since you aren't hurt yet and have a safe net.
If you're already hurt, you can't take chances. Can you reach the other loop without a pallet? Maybe. But is it worth it to risk it?
Which is why it's better to use pallets when you're healthy. Because you can risk more while healthy.
If you wait to be injured before dropping pallets, it's harder to risk extending your loops and connecting adjacent stuff to it.
Which is why my policy is " If this pallet will save you a hit, drop it"
-
Remember. PEOPLE forget that a secret bonus to unbreakable is the fast recovery. Getting to 99% so someone insta picks you up can be invaluable aswell.
Edit: Idk why it went from "people" to "please" in my head or typing but...it's supposed to be people.
