The way I see it is that higher rank players will either memorise the locations or not care about the timer.
Currently without RSN2, I generally concede about 2-4 generators average, but the first two are always fairly quick. I stall by telling players that they have to go and remove the RBT rather than do generators, stalling the game. If the go to a generator, then they get stabbed.
I spread the damage so they're all on death's door at the same time. That's just me. I also suck in a chase.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but aren't the boxes randomized between a few locations? Kinda like totems? Wouldn't that mean even if they have it memorized, it would still take the survivors longer to find the boxes?
Why would they not care about the timer? I don't get it. You saying they will just trust to find the right box fast enough? If that was the case, why would they care about the trap at all?(rsn2 or regular)

That doesn't really change with rsn2, you're just more likely to find them in gens at first.

I also try to do that in general. I'm ok in chases...
Btw, thank you for not pulling the "I played more so I know more" card👍

So, you are telling me that forcing Survivors to do their objective is going to help me. Got it.
Tell me, how much Pig have you played? Just curious.
Forcing? Not really. They can go look for the boxes if they want. It will just take longer than normal. (Which also stalls the game 👍) I'm just not allowing them to optimize their pathing with 'box, box, gen, box, box.
Can't give you a number, ps4 doesn't track time, but I'm pretty sure I played her less than you.
Is this the part where you dismiss my points entirely without actually addressing them, since you "know better" because you played her more?

You use the RBT to take survivors AWAY from generators. You target those on generators. You have now applied pressure and stalled the game without tunnelling or camping.
The survivor completes a gen while trapped (or someone else does it) now they are on a timer to take off the trap and will be running around being easy to spot and drop/hook. Making others have to save them. Sucessfuly stalling the game.
"You have now applied pressure and stalled the game without tunneling or camping"
Wrong. The survivors will always have to take the trap off and do the gens. Rsn2 base only changes the order these will happen.(if it doesn't get activated while the person is hooked that is)
-
I haven't either. Which is why I said debatable.

Pudding or Cake. I wish the devs would rework offerings to replace some useless like mist offerings for killers. Or add new offerings aswell like a ultra rare for survivors.
It's debatably good for trapper or hag to have fog...
The fog offering should just go... same with the hook ones.

Do NOT make Ruleset No.2 base. Trust me. You do not want bear-trapped survivors working on generators.
Crouch speed needs a buff, as in make it in line with Ghostface.
Move the roar to the start of the dash.
Some add-ons like Face Mask are fine. Slow-release toxin should be on dash. Maybe Rusty Appendages.
The RBT is also THE most iconic SAW trap and is featured in every single SAW movie. It is also the trap that Amanda was featured in. Besides that god-awful Pit of Syringes scene. I'm fine with it being her power.
How can I trust you when rsn2 was never base to make a proper comparison?
Sure, you think it would be bad. But several people think it would be good. It's not about trusting anyone, is who makes the best arguments, and "you don't want rbt survivors doing gens" just ain't it.

To be fair, League is not and has never pretended to be anything close to horror, so they can afford to go all-out with the meme skins in a way that DBD can't necessarily without affecting the atmosphere of the game dramatically.
*Looks at tofu mode in RE2 and the many, many costumes for pretty much all the titles.
I think it's fine.
And league was an example of a competitive game doing it, not horror. Because someone above mentioned competitive being a problrm for this type of skins.
The game is horror(kinda), but they don't have to horror it up 100% of the time, it will get boring. Or do you think people use dwelf for it's very serious horror themes? Or ashy slashy? Or pacient myers? Or santa clown?
-
"Are funny skins good when this is a horror game?"
*looks at phantom of the opera wraith, cabbage hag, ashy slashy, santa clown, school girl spirit, dwelf, etc.
We already passed the point of no return.
And funny skins are great. Just look at league of legends, one of the most competitive games out there, it has silly skins everywhere, and people love it.
Also, mr. Puddles was created by the comunity and voted for in a contest

So... what you're saying is that you could have escaped if you did the strat of opening the gate just until before the first light would be up, wait for the killer to come back and leave, and then going for it?

I know, of course ;)
What I mean is that they can sell individual items instead of trying to come up with concepts for whole outfits and releasing them like that. Like a bald tattoo'd head for Jake or a dunce cap for Quentin. ;)
You should probably edit your first comment to properly express what you meant

Also give wglf a stack when a survivor dcs.

And if you read the entire post, I came up with one, a pretty important one I think you'd agree.
I did. There's absolutely no drawback for the survivors.
"The killer can kick it" is nothing. A pallet for an entire health state is ridiculously one sided
-
"Couldn't think of a drawback, so there just isn't one"

Yes. Like when I catch a survivior just after he cleansed. Should I drink immediately and chase him or infect first, drink, catch up and then chase?
Drink first.
It's faster.
You can tag him with the green puke first, but it's generally better to just down him

Because the meta is not my gameplay style. Also the meta is boring in general.

Someone edit this with the survivors faces

Humans are pattern seeking things. If you look for a pattern in something random, you will find one.

Depends on the killer, but bbq for bps.
On survivor, inner strenght, wglf, quick and quiet, dance with me.

There are red rank killers, I saw some. But way less than red rank survivors, no doubt.

Hey Scott, I believe your idea is pretty good, just a few things I want to add to sweeten the deal:
- The TWU affects all survivors.
- Survivors who remain within 32 meters to the killer while not running will slowly lose the debuff from the TWU. 50% penalty to 0% penalty over a 10 second duration.
- Once the killer performs a hunting action such as chasing, hitting, downing, or grabbing survivors — all survivors are freed from the TWU.
- Survivors affected by TWU will glow (just like the lunar event), killers don't see the glowing effect.
Off-Topic:
Huge fan, keep up the videos and I love your personality! ❤
Your cats are adorable too! 🐱
How do you do the spoiler thing?
-
Probably a good representation of the life of any given survivor in the entitys realm
-
... his traps do indeed need a change...
But the change is to remove the rng and make it time based (maybe with 1 skill check).
Not this one sided suggestion you gave, it needs to be something for both sides.
-
Thinking killers need ruin or not, has nothing to do with how good you are at the game.

80% of my games are AGAINST the same (2-5) exact killer
NOT
I blocked and marked 80% of different killers to not play against.
please read carefully.
🤦♂️
Yes... play against... changes so much... you're certainly not playing with them on different "teams"
No no... it totally makes it all different to say against instead of with. Yes.

Before dedicated servers on came to PS4. You were able to see who the killer was before the match started and this was my favorite feature as I knew who to dodge, because I already had them blocked and mark as not to go against.
Reason because they are dogcrap grade A pieces of jerk killers.
I think you should be able to block or dodge people who you don’t wanna go against. Now since dedicated servers are out on PS4 and you can no longer see killers names - 80% of my killers I go against are the killers that I had ALREADY HAVE Blocked and I keep getting them BACK TO BACK. Which ruins my gaming experience because these people are Freaking stepped on bubble gum that won’t come off my shoe.
If 80% of the killers are someone you marked with "not play", you mark people for way too little.
4/5 of the playerbase not good to play with? The problem is probably with you.

Imagine complaining about an exhaustion perk which gives you less distance AND is more situational than the other exhaustion perks because if the entire survivor team devotes their time to meme and throw the game it can be a minor annoyance to the killer
They got dumpstered in that game. Both sides can use meme builds and throw the game to have fun.
Wrong. Head on gives you more distance than any other perk besides decisive strike
-
Kate and trapper.
-
Now, nothing. Just got all killers to lvl 50. Now I'm getting max bps to prestige trapper and get him as much stuff as possible.
I'll feel like I wasted bps if I use them while they lvl50 unless they get to prestige 3... that's just how I function 🤷♂️
-
I don't like your definition on crutch.
A crutch is something that carries you, that without it you couldn't possibly get as far as you got.
-
Trapper.
2 traps carry capacity base.
Rearm traps with out picking them up first.
Dead hard doesn't work over traps (or trapper can't step on a trap when he isn't carrying someone)
If someone starts disarming a trap, people can still step on it until it finishes getting disarmed.
Injured survivors who step on a trap, need help escaping it or they go down.
You can always see the aura of your traps.

He actually does kill people he's a shimigami it's his job to take souls from earth if it's their time.
According to the lore, shinigamis killed so many people that they pretty muc don't need to do that anymore. So they literally chill all day.
Ryuk specially. He bored.
-
The intangible ghost I think.
-
About 50/50.
-
Not ruining my games at all, on both the survivor and killer side of things.
Specially since the challenges now are more related to actual gameplay instead of disturbing 25 crows. :p
-
There's 5 versions of badham, so it's 5 times more likely than any specific map.
But it's the same chance of getting a macmillan map, or auto haven or corn
-
Just yesterday, the doors were open (well, 1 of them) 1 person escaped, 1 was dead and I was about to hook another in the basement. Hooked her and expected to see an aura near one of the gates, but the aura was on another corner of the map, so while the guy struggled on hook I went to find the last one. He was camping hatch. I closed it in his face after the other guy finished dying.(he should have left when I got there, but didn't 🤷♂️)
Got a hit on him and he ran a bit before stopping. Then I hit him again and start taking him to a hook.
Then he DC's and I laugh out loud. Even more after I saw he was the only survivor who used an escape!cake. And everyone had over 20k bps... he wasted so much time and bps just because he was denied the hatch... Love it.
-
I will, when I see you running my way.
Or the killer... either one works

I actually think the fog ones are more useful, for those who play stealthy or 'immersed'. I don't use them either as I don't stealth. They are also useful for stealth killers, or killers like Trapper.
The fog also hides totems, chests, traps, and other ######### on the ground. They are worse because they always have a negative.
At least you can make the shrouds work 100% in your favor.
-
2nd most useless offerings in the game to me.
Right behind the fog ones.

I know it's not an actual autoaim. It just "makes the hit look better". But can we please have a button to turn it off?

I don't have issues... also ps4

I wish blizzard could break away from activison and keep their ######### like Bungie did with Destiny. Though I'm not sure that would even be possible. I'm not sure how Bungie managed to take destiny with them but the game certainly improved when they were free of their microtransaction overlords. Blizzard has so many IPs if it were legally possible you can bet Activision will fight that tooth and nail.
I heard recently Rod from The Coalition(TC) left gears of war 5 to join blizzard. I certainly wouldn't want to join blizzard right now with all the backlash they've been facing the past year.
Gears of war 5? There's a 4th?

I'm no expert but I believe the "looking at him" may actually done using the direction you are moving (or were most recently moving if you are stopped). It may not be the direction you are facing nor the direction of the camera. In my experience if you are moving towards him (or were and then stopped) you will reveal him.
In the case of the flashlight blind. If she were not holding the flashlight up then she was likely backing up as she blinded. Thus (if you took the flashlight component out) she was moving away from him. And if the "vision cone" is taken off of movement direction. Then using the flashlight won't change that.
Another way to put it, you will reveal in the direction of the left joystick / wasd. Despite the right stick, camera, or mouse.
I could be COMPLETELY WRONG. This is just a speculation guess from the experience of someone who codes things. That COULD explain an issue with the reveal mechanic from a code standpoint. Hard to explain without drawing a picture.
You are completely wrong.
You can reveal gf while running away from him.
Movement direction has nothing to do with it
