... is this a meme?
What was the guy trying to do here?

K...
Just don't use them.
Like everyone that had them was doing before.

Agreed.

Then make your own fun out of it?
I wanna play the game.
If the killer starts farming I finish the gens and leave.

I'd make the same case for 4 sweaty survivors running the same 4 meta perks and playing on autopilot, or sweaty killers slugging everyone/facecamping one by one/insert various other boring strats, that happen in normal matches most of the time
At least you're doing stuff and it doesn't take half an hour before you can queue up again to actually play the game.

And being camped and tunneled isn't?
Did I say it isn't?
No, I didn't. I said farming is super boring, and it is.
Saying "I don't like apples" doesn't mean "I like oranges".
And at least you get to play the game for a bit if you get camped and tunneled, then you queue up again.

Why are people so anti-farming?
It's a nice break from all of the sweaty tryhards on both sides
Farming is super boring

Because if the killers had to do something, like killing the obsession or 1 survivor that took the crown... it would turn into a very toxic gameplay experience. Because killer would wanna make sure they get the crown.
Making it so it's easy for killers to get the crown, means that they can chill and play normally. No need to bring ebony and use it asap, or hard camp that 1 guy.
-
One of my favorites.
Even if they aren't very poweful. Lots of fun.

Yes but no.
When I use these perks I do gens at 109% repair speed.
When I use them with a teammate on a gen I do 124% plus their 115% meaning we're doing 239% (or just 39%) generator repair speed
This means that we can do a generator 37 seconds faster
If I'm alone I can do the generator 17 seconds faster
If I wait to do what you are saying "get injured then keep myself at 99 to stay enjured" I run the risk of someone trying to heal me which distracts them, I don't get the headstart of beginning the match with such stat bonuses along with the fact that I could be hooked before even getting my bonus (e.g bubba win which I'm downed and hooked instantly)
That's not how the math works
Using proove thyself changes the gen from taking 44 seconds with 2 people to taking 40 seconds. All proove thyself does is remove the penalty you get normally. Adding your 9%, it means 2 people together do the gen in 36.7 seconds.(made a mistake here, it's actually 38.2 seconds total) here's the math.
A gen requires 80 charges to be fixed, every survivor applies 1 charge per seconds normally. Which is why it takes 80 seconds to fix a gen. With resilience, you apply 1.09 charges every second. So 80 charges divided by 1.09 charges per second = 73.39 seconds.
With 2 people, which is where I made a mistake, you add 1.09 charges a second and they add 1. Because proove thyself removes the penalty for teaming up, and only yoy have resilience. Meaning the equation should be 80 charges/2.09 charges per second = 38.28 seconds
Alone, you do the gen in 73.39 seconds. About 6.6 seconds faster. Not 17 seconds. Even with proove thyself activated (meaning someone is around you not doing anything) it takes 64.52 seconds. About 15.5 seconds faster.
Edit: I would like to point out, no mither is not gen related in anyway.
The part of your build that does anything with gens is proove thyself and resilience. Which can easily be run without it. Usually with spine chill for maximum gen times and vaulting speed.
So no, no mither is not a "broken gen rush perk"
-
It's a self fulfilling prophecy.
Someone suggested it, it was met with so much unnecessary hate that other fnaf fans decided to also suggest it while adding "why it does fit" or "why it wouldn't be bad". Which prompted more unnecessary hate which prompts more support to compensate and so on.
If the people who dislike the idea just didn't bother with the post, it would have just been forgotten in about a week, like most other suggestions.
You know... stuff like this 👇

I'm just saying what the most common justification is. My personal opinion for not wanting it is that I just don't think it's scary or even good. It's a puzzle game with jumpscares.
It's not a puzzle game, it's a resource management game. That sometimes has puzzles as a side thing.
@Huff said:
To OP: I find it hard to believe that you don't know, unless you've ignored every other FNaF thread that's been made on here.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1378391#Comment_1378391
I don't think it's a good point to bring up the whole "elephant suit, girl with a bunny costume, and those goofy Legion cosmetics," simply because for the Legion ones, I have to give them a pass because they were part of a deal, and I can't really speak as to what kind of details were included in that deal. As for the Feng one (I'm assuming that's what you mean by bunny costume) the survivors aren't intended to be scary. I wouldn't criticize the game for having Dwight in because nerds or managers aren't scary. And then the Clown one, I'll admit is probably the most "non scary thing" there, but I still don't think it's as ridiculous as Chuck E. Cheese animatronics. Clown is like this grungy kidnapper guy who goes around with a traveling circus posing as a member so he can murder people. To me it's just fitting for him to have some sort of mascot costume, and plus it isn't even really supposed to look that "cute." I mean, unless you find grimy dirty animal costumes with a flap cut out of the ass check area to be cute. Then maybe it's cute to you. My point is, those things don't exactly mean that DbD isn't supposed to mainly be horror.
I just think some people simply don't like the idea of FNaF because it's just not something they see being in the game. I don't think criticism over Silent Hill is nearly as valid because horror icons can come from a lot of different sources. Hell, even Hag, who's a wendigo, doesn't come from any film or game that I know. From what I could tell, it's more from folklore. That doesn't mean a wendigo can't be part of a horror game, same as Pyramid Head.
I just went into this conversation in another FNaF thread where a guy advocating for it was saying essentially that "there's always going to be people that don't like it" and "there's only so many horror icons to choose from," and stuff like that. I don't exactly think he's wrong. Yea, there could be room eventually for that kind of character. Thing is, there's plenty of people who think that other characters are a lot more deserving of the spot in the game than any character from FNaF. Just being connected to the franchise itself is a valid enough reason in my opinion for somebody to dislike a character. As mentioned earlier, there could be room eventually for a character, but there could eventually be room for Spongebob too. Does that mean that I think Spongebob is a good fit? No.
I don't think it's "gatekeep-y" for people to disagree with a certain franchise being included, because I think it needs to be judged on an individual basis. For example, the other thread I mentioned with that one FNaF advocate, that guy was saying that people were mentioning that Demogorgon shouldn't be in the game because he's a monster and not a human or whatever. I personally think that's an idiotic reason to try to exclude something from this game, because there's plenty of non-human characters that could be included under the "horror" genre. As for people having a problem with the kind of age demographic a franchise appeals to, or having a problem with the story being garbage, those are arguments that I can actually give credit to.
Yea sure, some people are closed-minded and just won't be willing to accept a character ever, but it's kind of ridiculous how many times FNaF fans on here will bring up the idea, get shot down, and then more will make posts later on asking why there's hate for it. I just don't see why people don't understand the hate for it by now. I'm not even saying it's an objectively bad franchise, but... People act like the criticisms for it either don't exist or aren't valid.
At the end of the day, I ultimately think it's up to the company anyway, and you know what companies are interested in: money. If a large majority of their playerbase is against an idea (such as FNaF) then I think it's pretty obvious what kind of position it puts them in. Just in case it isn't: they're going to either make a decision to include such thing and piss off a lot of their fans, or they can decide not to appeal to the minority and keep their overall playerbase happy.
I have a name you know? 🤣
But I do agree with you on a very important thing, while disagreeing on another important thing.
Thing 1: there are other franchises I would rather see in dbd instead of/before Fnaf. Like Candyman, Alien and Fatal Frame.
Thing 2: I wouldn't mind if a Fnaf chapter was literally the next one. Because while I wouldn't personally pick it over other IPs, I do think it fits the game and would bring a bunch of players to it.

If so, I'll name several IPs that have done scary or "possessed" anamtronics before FnaF - Goosebumps, invader Zim, puppet master, are you afraid of the dark... I can keep going. People have been making jokes about the banana splits being serial killers since the 70's.....
But I'll stop right there with that. We all know you're being obnoxious at this point, I'm not going to continue to argue with someone who is being willfully ignorant.. Because I don't have to. Like I said, it's stupid kiddie horror fan fic creepy pasta cringe, and the vast majority would NOT want to have it in the game.
If the developers of DBD decide one day "hey, I know, let's just throw in a stupid, unoriginal, cartoony, child-audience drawing character in here, just so we can finally piss off all solo que and make everyone who did not consent to playing a horror game with a giant yellow ######### chicken with a bib on feel like deleting a game they likely spent around 80 bucks for with DLC and cosmetics... Well like I said I quit.
But I'm pretty sure that I won't be quitting anytime soon now
Chucky is a doll. Not an animatronic.
Remember when I said "animatronics in a pizzaria"? Before you even said it wasn't original? Because obviously animatronics have been used before. But by your dumbass logic, there isn't a single original killer in this game. Or survivor.
It's like saying godzilla ripped off king kong for using a giant monster. You abstract so much it doesn't matter anymore.

Thank you! for the info, Etc,one more question, do you have planned to show all the characters to this date? Kate Denson,Zarina,Yui for example.and will licenced characters like Quentin,Laurie Etc, going to appear, since the movie is fan-made?,i think there's maybe some "potential" to explain Some characters like Lisa Garland or Alessa Gillespie being trapped in the entity's realm etc.
I would love if Behaviour does a Episodic Netflix show based on Dead By Daylight or a Movie,So
Good Luck with the project!
I don't they can use licensed characters, since you need a license for those. I don't think bhvr themselves can use those characters outside of the game.

The thing is. Buying 1 minute in a chase, could be 1 minute for 1 or 3 gens.
If the others are working on gens while split up, a 1 gen chase turns into a 3 gen chase.

I guess I've just been blessed enough to stop hearing about it after the initial craze with all the Youtubers playing it. Fair enough if you just disagree that the creepypasta things have a following, but my main point is that the things are practically a meme at this point. Just like Slenderman and Jeff were brought up so much back then, people just got sick of hearing it and it kinda became a joke. Same thing happened with FNaF -- as you can see, I'm not the only one who feels this way, judging by many criticisms the OP seems to be drawing from (with all the bold texted points.)
There's games coming out making a f* ton of sales day 1, there's books, a movie and apparently a triple A game in the making that I didn't know was a thing.
Fnaf is very alive. Just check the numbers a fnaf video does on game theory and you'll see.
Everything is a meme, including dbd. 🤷♂️
I mean, people have issues with things you wouldn't guess are an issue. It comes with things being subjective. Like, "would X character be cool?".
Look at smash for instance (cause let's be honest, it's the closest thing we can compare it to) Byleth got into the game, was expected since she/he is the new FE character. People were SO pissed, you would think they added sonichu or peter griffin.
Someone, is always gonna disagree. It's how it goes

I can't tell if you're trolling or not. Slenderman and Jeff were both like some of the most popular things at one point. You couldn't be on the internet without being exposed to them one way or another. If you think FNaF is "popular" at all then I have no doubts that by your definitions, Slendy and Jeff would be "popular" as well. They aren't "incredibly niche" if you ask me, because like everybody and their mother had heard about them.
Maybe I'm just older than you, and you weren't around for the trend, or maybe you're much older and you just weren't "hip with the kids" around the time it became a trend, but there's no denying that they were extremely popular at one point. I laugh at your "couple hundred" and "maybe 10?" figures, lol. Not even to be mean, it's just quite the understatement.
Either way, if you like kiddie creepypasta- and meme-worthy killers like Jeff and Slenderman, then I guess I understand why you would want FNaF. I just personally think most people who play a game like DbD aren't going to be interested in that kind of character. As I said before, just taking the theme of a character (robotic or whatever) and making an original character out of it is fine, but when it's connected to something a lot of people quite frankly think is kinda cringey, then I just don't personally see it making it in the game.
Maybe I'm wrong though. IDK.
I was around for it. I read way too many creepy pasta. One of my favorites was the nes godzilla one.
Slenderman was really famous a while ago, but now it has died down. Sirenhead is kinda taking it's spot honestly.
It's specially true with jeff. Who the hell even knows about jeff the killer besides old internet people like us?
But fnaf has a really big following to this day and it doesn't seen to wanna stop any time soon.

Well in the lore cutscene for her she is seen anihalating a group of kids who were bullying using her rage (from her ancestor kazan) so in reality she very much fits the slasher scene and most killers in slashers are out for revenge. Take pamala from the original f13 movie she was killing counselers as revenge for her son jason dieing and when she died jason came back to get revenge on the people who killed her and lorewise jason wasnt a violent kid either so while it may not seem like it she fits the catogorey.
I disagree. This "lost of control that results in killing" is not a slashers trope. It's way more common in monster movies, like...almost every werewolf movie, jekil and hyde...
It happens in slashers, but it's rare. Because usually, the person suffering from it is the protagonist, and the killers in slasher movies are rarely the protagonists.
Silent night, deadly night being one such case.
So I very much disagree that fits of killing rage make rin a slasher.
And in her case, coming back from the dead wanting revenge aren't slashers thing either. It happens, like freddy.
But it's a vengeful spirit movie, their own genre. Like several japanese movies. Like ringu and one that I forgot the name... but in it the spirit of a girl comes back to kill everyone that raped/killed her. Besides the main guy, who didn't help her when he could but she likes him. I think it's just called spirits...but I'm not sure.
So, sorry. But you didn't convince me of rin being a slasher.
Pamela is certainly a slasher, but she is insane. The people she is killing have nothing to do with what happened to jason. I wouldn't call it a revenge movie.
In the case of jason, only the 1st kill of the second movie fits the revenge thing. Most of the time, he's just hunting people that are somewhat close to where he is. No real reason behind it.
@Huff said:
Can't people just not like the idea of FNaF? I don't think it would be the worst thing to have some sort of robotic or non-humanoid character, but FNaF just leaves a bad taste in a lot of peoples' mouths. It's very evident by the responses in this thread and pretty much every other thread.
I don't want to go into it, but the best way I can think to put it right now is: even if it's a killer kind of character, would it really fit? What if I said, "hey lets add Jeff the Killer into DbD. He has a cool backstory and he goes around and stabs people so he's deadly and his aesthetic totally fits the game!" I don't imagine a lot of people would agree with me even if he does "fit the aesthetic" by being a creepy slasher guy or whatever -- most people are going to be turned off to the idea because he's not actually even really menacing, and also because it's from a creepypasta that's just a meme at this point. Just like FNaF. I don't think a lot of people are denying that a decayed robotic killer or something would be bad, but I really doubt many people want Chuck-E-Cheese animatronics from a jump-scare game that was popular amongst kids, which is also a big meme at this point, to be inserted into DbD.
At that point you might as well just go all the way and start adding Jeff the Killer, Slenderman, and all these cheesy kiddie horror icons.
I do think jeff the killer would fit, and slenderman too.
But, they fail at a very important point that fnaf succeds at.
They aren't famous.
Jeff and slender are incredibly niche. While fnaf is super well known.
Fnaf would bring a ton of players to the game, slender maybe a couple hundred, jeff...maybe 10?
-
Plague made a deal with the entity to not die, springtrap can't do that.
Why not?
He can easily do the deal during the fire of... pizzaria simulator??? Whichever is the one he actually finaly dies.
Demogorgon is indeed a slasher. He slashes with his knife like claws.
Also eats with his face. 🤷♂️
But that's a more literal meaning of slasher, instead of the stalker killer meaning of slasher from pop culture. Which it just doesn't behave like at all.
Also it's a hive mind in the sense they all have shared communication, but each one still has free will. For reference see how the one they kept as a pet recognised him later and didn't kill him.
I Didn't say he was mind controlled or didn't have any inteligence, but without the hive mind he's basically just a wild animal. One that can potentially be trained and/or domesticated
SpringTrap jumps at the camera.
Yes, and? I hope you don't think he jumpscares people to death in universe.
"Spirit never killed people" yes nut no. She made a deal to get revenge, slaughtered her dad, and is now living out said deal.
But while she was alive, she was a nice girl. I am just saying, she doesn't fit the slasher profile.
The difference between robots jumpscaring the camera and Myers doing it is that you know what happens when Myers does it. You get stabbed. When springtrap jumps the camera, that's it. Its over.
So? More options for the developers. 🤷♂️
He can beat people up, crush them, maybe bite them, throw them around... does it really matter how he does it? In the end people die.
A ushanka is a Russian hunter hat. It is made with animal fur (usually bear). The fur is on the inside of the hat to keep the wearer warm during cold seasons. It was later adopted and used by the Russian military during long patrols. Fun fact: Ushanka is Russian for "hat", but other languages adopted the word to call the iconic hat.
Neat.

Also, isn't playing solo ALREADY a lone wolf game???????
We are talking in general or against tunnelers? Because I said to use bt in case of tunnelers.

It's a bad creepy pasta for the reason Scott made at least 7 games, in which all the main series games are bad because they are all the same with different textures. The only good ones are the spin off games, but even then there is no saving the trainwreck of a story.
Also you said Alien wasn't humanoid, that's a yikes from me. Also you can't compare Alien to fnaf, or any icon like Myers or Krueger. They were well made and their story is falling apart with every installment.
Halloween has like 10 "sequels" and like... 3 are actually good?
Same for nightmare on elm street and texas chainsaw massacre. So does that make freddy, michael and bubba bad creepy pasta? Otherwise this point is moot.
Also you said Alien wasn't humanoid, that's a yikes from me. Also you can't compare Alien to fnaf, or any icon like Myers or Krueger. They were well made and their story is falling apart with every installment.
If you go back to my comment you'll see it was in quotation marks. It means I'm repeating what others said. It was pretty obvious when you consider the full comment.
I can compare them. Of course I can. Everything is relative, we only know the differences with 2 things when we compare them.
And I can easily compare them and say, "while alien gets worse with every sequel (except for aliens) fnaf gets better with every sequel".
Oh wow, I compared 2 things with each other... that means they are all the same quality right? /s

If you're the one being tunneled BT does hurt, because it only helps others and doesn't improve your own chances of surviving and / or not getting tunneled, at the same time as taking up a perk slot that you could have used for something else that actually benefits you as a solo player, not your "team" especially if they're all garbage.
Not to mention, if the killer finds out you're the guy running BT getting all these successful unhooks, he's more likely to focus on you to get you out of the game to make his job easier and the rest of the team who's left harder pressed to make successful saves.
So no, BT probably not a good option if you're being repeatedly tunneled consistently in your matches.
Instead choose perks that directly benefit you and help you survive. Instead of Borrowed Time I would suggest unbreakable, so you can't be slugged, in combination with Decisive where there's a decent chance you'll be left on the ground, it's a pretty disgusting combo.
Other "selfish" perks you can use if you have no faith in your team and the killer is tunneling you:
Self-Care - as much as people will tell you it's detrimental to the team, it's still one of the best self-preservation perks out there (just make sure not to self-care when you should be doing something else like fixing a generator that's almost done or saving a teammate who's almost dead)
Inner Strength - Alternate option you can pick instead of self-care but it's got it's limitations especially if you have trouble finding totems. When you've got it though, it works and it's a good self-sustain / self-preservation perk.
any exhaustion perk: Adrenaline is a pretty good pick for self-preservation but if you're not sure if you're going to get use out of it Balanced Landing or Lithe are good picks too. Head On if you know you can use it properly, you can go with Dead Hard but good killers have been getting wise to DH antics for awhile now and it's slowly becoming less viable because good killers will counter it by baiting it out once they know you've got it. If you don't have those the classic Sprint Burst is always an option
Kindred - It's a multi-purpose perk. It activates whenever you're hooked so obviously it helps your team make safer saves and prevents nightmare scenarios where everybody thinks somebody else is getting the save and nobody gets you. It also gives you a lot of map awareness of where your team is so you can get a quicker heal, finish a generator with someone else, and it also let's you know where the killer is and what direction they headed in after they got a hook (or if they're camping).
Spine Chill - huge perk that can save your butt in multiple circumstances. Most obviously it's a game changer going up against stealth killers or killers using stealth perks (like the recently released Trail of Torment), but also helps against basically any killer, when it lights up and it stays lit for a couple seconds that's your queue to gain some distance and dip. Gives you a bit of extra reaction time for high mobility killers like Hillbilly or Oni too who tend to show up very quickly and abruptly. Plus you get slightly faster vaulting speed depending on what tier you've got the perk at. Can't recommend this perk enough.
Other somewhat notable self-preservation perks: Dark Sense, Camaraderie, Distortion, Urban Evasion, Iron Will
I mean... if you wanna go full lone wolf go ahead. 🤷♂️
But you want someone with bt to unhook you right? So why not reciprocate?

Ignoring the "Haha bunny rabbits in" comment which is irrelevant because it has nothing to do with FnaF
Except for the similar visuals? Which means you have a double standard since you just don't like fnaf but is apparently ok with bunny legion?
Oh yeah... nothing at all.
I'll put it to you this way; what makes FnaF so compelling?
The deep lore is probably what draws most people into it. There's also the people that enjoy the resource management style of the game. People also enjoy it's take on a horror game. Maybe they like the characters...
I don't see how this is relevant at all... it's obvious lots of people enjoy the IP. What else is needed?
What was it's original story?
The souls of murdered children are possessing/stuck in several animatronics. They only gain full control of the animatronics at night and become very "murdery". You are the night guard and must survive an entire week of work there.
That's the simplified version. There's hundreds of lore videos of fnaf, go watch those if you actually care about the story.
And just in case your point is something among the lines of "the story is too simple, not enough depth"... halloween is about a crazy stalker killing babysitters in the suburbs. Nightmare on elm street is about a guy killing the children of the people that burned him to death while they are sleeping. Friday the 13th is about a crazy mother killing camp counselours because other camp counselours let her son drown.
You can simplify everything.
I mean, obviously there is no distinction between what I referred to as Creepy Pasta and established horror IP's that people actually respect.
I already explained the difference between fnaf and other horror IP that "people actually respect". Go read my last response to you.
Btw, going "oh no, he's saying the difference between them is just how famous they are. I won't say why they are different but I know they are" is not helping your case
So please relay to us the captivating tale of FNaF,
Go watch the lore videos if you want more indepth knowledge about it... obviously you don't, you already have a formed opinion about it without knowing the lore, so why start caring about it now right?
which is totally not created in a concept ANYONE who lived through the 80's and 90's could have or already have made and rehashed in numerous forms of media,
I Call. Name the franchise that did fnaf before fnaf.
Killer animatronics in a pizzaria. Which is what I said in my last post to you. Go on, I'll wait.
because you know, even though Chucky Cheese was exponentially more profitable and popular then and is going bankrupt now,
Who the hell carea about chucky cheese? Are they a horror franchise? No. So who cares?
Fnaf has made scott so much money he quite literally makes his games free at this point.
To make an analogy... How broke restaurant A is doesn't matter when we talk about restaurant B being famous and lucrative.
those people who went there back then never thought "Anthropomorphic bots - scary!" So it already has originality going for it!
I Never went to a chucky cheese, they don't exist here. But from what I heard several kids were indeed afraid of it. Don't know about adults.
I have no idea what kind of point you're trying to make here.

knowing how the fnaf games are and how Scott thinks, im sure he'd have the dbd devs put a lore clue somewhere in the map. i can see it now
"if you turn on the generator in the main party room and the parts and service room exactly 6 minutes into the match, a special door will open up that leads downstairs. this is the ONLY way to reach this room and when you get in there, its none other than good ol William Afton himself, sitting there in the freshly locked Spring Bonnie suit"
i watch too much game theory. and fnaf stuff.
The easter egg will probably be golden freddy or the puppet, since the killer would more likely be springtrap.
Same...watched too many lore videos, barely actually played the games :p

Dude, is it so hard to understand nobody wants to have their favorite iconic horror stories and characters sullied by being product with a super cringe, glorified creepy pasta?
I'm sorry, but that's the absolute point of disbelief I will not Cross with DBD. It's Zany, has quirky imagery and goofy cosmetics like Dwelf, but the moment I see a ######### Chicka running around like a fetid big bird, I quit! ######### it, I think I can stand by this one.
So, why are you still here? Or did you not see the new legion skin?
This "glorified creepy pasta" thing... you do realize I can say this about every licensed killer in this game right? They are all creepy pastas that happened to get a movie a long-ish time ago so people accepted them as icons. If there were a franchise of killer animatronics from a pizzaria that started in the 80s or 90s this conversation would not be happening.
What separates these "icons" from creppy pastas if not public awareness of them?
Do you really not realize this distinction you're making is entirely subjective?

Nah, I bet it's because of the fear of DS.
I'm sure you know more about what happens in my games than me pal...

The reason you don't have issues is likely because killers fear DS. I remember I was basically tunnelled every single game before the DS rework.
The reason is because I don't see a lot of tunnelers even when there's no obsession.
And when I do see them, having an obsession doesn't really matter.
-
I call original killers by their "title" "the trapper" "the hag"
The licensed I call by their names.
Leatherface = bubba
Nightmare = freddy
Shape = michael
Pig = amanda
Executionner = piramid head
And so on...
With the exception of ghostface, which I call ghostface.
-
I never use DS, I have almost no issue with tunnelers.
Equip DS and/or kindred if you feel like you encounter that playstyle too often.
Borrowed time doesn't hurt either.

No one has any problem with alien.
About 2/3 of the internet sees fnaf and instantly think of the fan base and how game theory is trying to solve a mystery that can't be solved because the story changes completely with every game release so it can be milked for cash.
No one has any problem with alien.
You would be surprised. I sure was after I and other people brought it up. People have several issues with Alien. Ranging from "not a slasher" to "not humanoid" to "the alien is too powerful" to "alien doesn't work in a dbd style game".
Granted, this was before demogorgon, now the new counterpoint is "alien is pointless since demo does all it would do"

The games themselves are still subpar with the fact that their story is on a downward spiral of getting worse and worse. But I guess we aren't talking about why a game milked so hard its once composed story is a dumpster fire.
The reason it FNaF doesn't work is because it is a jumpscare game. What works in DbD? Slasher games and movies. Every killer has been a slasher? Why? Because for the games premise of a hunter and hunted to work you need someone who is Slashing. Its in the name. Demodoggo has claw like fingers, huntress has an axe and hatchets, clown has a letter opener. Now let's look at springtrap and the non robotic Afton. Springtrap doesn't slash, he just... Jumps at the camera, so not a slasher. William Afton, never seen attacking in detail, he does run at people with a phone.
You win, if Myers can stab someone with a pipe Afton can shank Dwight with a ######### phone.
On more serious note. It still doesn't work. If devs add ######### tier Fnaf update ill eat my ushanka. This is the hill I'm willing to be slugged on (but its ok I have no mither).
Plague is a slasher? Demogorgon is a slasher? Nurse is a slasher?
Plague and spirit never even killed people before they were taken by the entity. Demogorgon is a wild animal with a beehive mind on the second season. Nurse suffocated/drugged people to death, and then the entity gave her a bonesaw.
This is just a bad defense, where you stretch the meaning of slasher to fit but completely ignores how it also fits springtrap. He's also there, chasing people and killing them, what makes him different? He doesn't have a knife?
Springtrap doesn't slash, he just... Jumps at the camera, so not a slasher.
please tell me you don't actually think this is a good point. There isn't a single slasher that hasn't jumped at the camera and killed someone.
Myers stabbed a guy with a gun, a pipe is easy.
What's an ushanka?

Easy to patrol? How? I can never find a way up.
Honestly... I kinda have to give up on half the map so I can actually patrol it.
-
Honestly... kinda want it to happen just so Matpat can try to connect the Fnaf lore with Dbd lore...
Would be a fun video. 🤣
I really don't get the reaction people have against Fnaf or the xenomorph. It's like when a new character gets in smash, but "oh no, it's from FE again".
I just don't get it.
-
Predator has his own game... I wouldn't keep my hopes up.
But... HELL YEAH XENOMORPH!!!
-
1 of the brothers is probably gonna be a legendary skin... hopefully not...
The killer would either be the yellow eyed demon or literal satan.
-
Pop culture horror figures? Like freddy krueger and michael myers?
Can't picture them in DBD...
