I believe the answer to your question lies in the fact that
A. Wraith moves Significantly faster in stealth, Sadako doesnt.
B. Sadako has a lullaby, Wraith doesnt.
Its a balance.
I wouldn't be against Wraith being able to pickup downed Survivors tho

I love this perk and have used it a lot and tend to get some good value out of it if I play aggressively with it. However, with the medkit changes I use it less as it's a bit harder to get those heals from the protection hits.
Sounds like buff time?!

Sadly I don't see enough demo puppies to see this but that does need addressed. I do play him every now and then and his undetectable is fun to play with And poke survivors from angles they don't know about. This is something very rarely seen so devs probably don't even know it is a problem. Please fix it though.
Yea, I was lucky to get one Demo on Midwich and it became instantly obvious that the change they've made to make the Undetectable Status Effect more consistent killed Demo's stealth.

Its trash. It's so situational and niche it takes effort to get it to kick in properly.
BHVR is terrified of actually giving survivors decent perks. I will let you figure out why that is.
I mean, they tried giving Survivors something neat with Boons, but then they created a whole new ######### meta out of it, which I think they fear to do now.

I literally had to google what it did because I forgot it existed lmao... but ig it's a good example of how some people always cry that everything their opponent get is OP and will break the meta and needs a nerf until it actually goes live and oh surprise when people are actually playing the game instead of playing out very hypothetical scenarios with a swf & killer's help it's not that good 🤷♀️
I think people in the PTB saw that double use of an exhaustion Perk in a chase is insane, so that's why it was so overhyped, but then you actually start reading more into that Perk, and it's condition after condition and nobody likes those Perks lol, so another reason nobody runs it I guess.

This is actually super neat, I think people would even do this for free if BHVR gave them the chance

This is something that's being looked into, as settings do not seem to be saving right now.
Please remember, that editing any game file is done at your own risk, definitely not something I am recommending
It would be really neat if some of those config settings were in the actual in game settings menu, so people don't risk getting banned for changing settings that any other game has.

You didn't explain why Pain Res got nerfed. It's a big nerf since you can't tunnel with it anymore and that's a massive nerf since tunneling is by far the strongest strategy.
"You are only better with old PR from the seventh hook onward."
That assumes that you hooked a unique survivor every time in the first 4 hooks, which is extremely unlikely.
Only Overcharge, CoB, and Eruption was warranted in their nerfs due to the perma 3 gen. Other slowdown perks mainly got nerfed due to high usage:
Corrupt Intervention: literally no one knew why it got nerfed. It's similar enough to Deadlock that Deadlock could get nerfed for the same reason.
Hex Ruin: it was only a problem with Tinkerer due to the perma Tinkerer but Tinkerer got nerfed, which fixed the problem, and they still nerfed Ruin. Ruin was fine since you couldn't stack it with other gen kicking perks.
Pop Goes the Weasel: it was a B tier perk at the time and it got nerfed multiple times purely since it was popular
Thana: Thana was a bad perk that almost no one used before it was buffed and got very popular on Plague and Legion, people complained, and instead of reverting the buff, they nerfed it into oblivion.
And even after the nerfs, it's still only used on Legion and Plague, because they're the only ones who can get some value from it 🙃

@HungrySnek said:
I know it got nerfed but I don't understand why no one uses it anymore. Knowing where the killer is every 30 seconds sounds still pretty strong and the fact that most killers have at least 1 aura reading perk which let's you know when the killer sees you themselves makes it even better.
I think it's beacuse only the Obsession gets to use that 30 second repeating aura read, if you're not the obsession and the Killer doesn't run any aura reading Perks, well now you wasted a Perk slot.

@Mandy said:
Whilst we get that you felt it was a nice incentive. The whole point in removing the BP bonuses from perks and addons etc, is to allow players to try other things rather than feeling the need to use those cos of the BP bonuses. With BPs being a lot easier to get now, with things in the bloodweb costing significantly less - there's already many ways to get BPs now.
But, the add-ons are all same-y, all of them are just increase that, decrease this, how do you expect people to use different add-ons when there are 4 versions of each that gets better with rarity?
If there were add-ons like:
- While healing others or yourself, they or you don't emit grunts of pain (rare)
- While holding a Med-Kit, you see the aura of injured Survivors (very rare)
- While healing with a Med-Kit, Skill Check trigger odds are increased by 15%, hitting a great Skill Check reveals the Killer's aura for 5 seconds (very rare)
- Skill Check triggers odds are decreased to 0% (common - for new players)
- While healing others, press the active ability button to give them a speed boost of 150% for 3 seconds, this consumes the med-kit (ultra rare)
Just a few examples, just not things like: increases healing speed by 5% woohoo.
-
Not sure if they didn't get the memo once when they nerfed these addons with the Hillbilly overheat mechanic nerf and then reverted them, then even buffed them due to the overheat itself screwing the addons over, but I guess you need to repeat it 10 times to BHVR.

I've never seen a game essentially retcon one of their own main lineup characters out of existence simply by consistently nerfing them against the communities wishes. I understand why they've made a lot of the changes they did even if I don't agree with them. I however do not understand why they feel the need to constantly nerf Hillbilly and when ever he gets a small buff they nerf something else to "balance it out".
We have decided to increase Hillbilly's movement speed while in a Chainsaw sprint by 1% thanks to the community feedback, to balance this out however, Hillbilly's base movement speed has been reduced to 96.25%, so he doesn't feel too oppresive to play against, also if he bumbs into a wall his chainsaw instantly overheats, cheers.

The popular double engravings combo will most likely be completely gutted, so rip those good Billys who used these add-ons for sick curves.

Sure, more consistency would be great, a worthy sacrifice.

Not fun to play as at all, nice you know where survivors are, what can you do about it tho? Not much, other than just slowly walk there.
-
I really hope for someone like Chucky, we have Killers like Twins and Sadako which are quite tiny so I think animating hooking a Survivor shouldn't be that hard with his voodoo magic things.

I dont want it buffed it was a joke... However before the knight released on live i have NEVER gotten exhausted on the ground since the hit validation now its EVERYTIME even with like 20 30 40 ms
No jokes allowed >:(
Jokes aside, we all know BHVR and their spaghetti code, maybe they broke something internally yet again by adding another Feng Min cosmetic.
-
I haven't got Exhausted on the ground ever since the rework happened.
Even tho the inputs feel a bit stiff at times due to the Perk now wanting you to actually run instead of just holding the run button it's quite amazing and can still save your life (buy your team some time) against the best Killers in the game.
Making Dead Hard work like it did before isn't the way to go, ever.
-
He is literally only decent at zoning people at corner loops, otherwise his only real strength is to push one Survivor of the Generator, maybe block it for around six seconds with one of the two slow Guards, but that's it, he's quite boring to play due to him feeling extra weak, but also boring and unfun to face because he just zones you for free.
-
@YOURFRIEND said:
They aren't supposed to play the game for you. You're supposed to work with them to down survivors.
But then the Knight isn't a strategic Killer when you only use the Guards at loops, they should at least be decent when they find a Survivor while patroling their path, otherwise they're just a slight time wasters that can ocasionally hit a Survivor.

I wish more powers were described like that, for example, even tho Ghost Face's power is one of the simplest, it's extremely long to read lol.
Could probably be something like:
NIGHT SHROUD
The Ghost Face used to study his victims for weeks, meticulously registering their habits.
When the urge to kill swelled, he'd know exactly how and where to strike.
- Move quietly and stalk your victims to make them Exposed.
- Crouch or Lean for better cover.
- Avoid being spotted.
Just an idea tho, the wording could be improved haha.
-

There are quite a lot of things that influence this, the server, your ping, the Killer's ping, it sucks for both sides, I can easily recall all the instances where as a Survivor, I was a few meters in front of Ghosty without any obstructions and I couldn't reveal him, then as Ghost Face I masterfuly hide behind walls, but it doesn't matter because I get revealed anyways.
-
I agree, Decisive Strike is so bad at it's job that it at least deserves to activate per hook, instead of just once per trial.
-
Don't really have a "stable" main, I just play a few selected Killers for a while, then switch to a few others.
-
Idk, I like the idea that makes teaps extea dangerous when a Survivor is injured, stepping into a trap while injured would just instantly down you (no trying to escape, you just flop to the ground), sounds kinda scary tho.
-
Haven't seen a facecamping Bubba in a few months, then get 2 Insidious facecamping Bubbas back to back.

maybe make other killer fun to play so there is reason to choose other killers?
Making some Killers fun to play takes time and effort tho, this could be an easy incentive in the meantime, it wouldn't guarantee that people would play other Killers, but for people who want Shards I think it would do the trick.
-
@Marik1987 said:
I wouldnt disagree. Actually, I play various killers anyway.
At first, I mostly played Freddy, Pig, Sadako and Demo.
Now, I play literally every killer besides 3.
Who are the 3 you don't play if you don't mind me asking?
-
I wouldn't really base everything on stats tbh.
Demo isn't weak, he's just decent at everything, but not especially great at anything.

1 to 4: Okay.
5 : No, the nurse is "forced" to use her power because her base speed is horrible.
The only solution would be to increase the nurse's base speed to 4.6 and give her a single teleport.
6 and 7: Ok (I think)
5 could also be kinda resolved if only the first blink counted as a basic attack, so Nurse players would get rewarded for hitting prfect blinks instead of readjusting blinks.
-
RBTs are quite alright as of now, I think the devs should focus more on her stealth and ambush, since those are the parts that make The Pig mostly enjoyable imo, but they kinda suck.
-
Like the idea, but I don't like that it would display the Killer at the start of the game, and yes, stealth killers would suffer greatly due to this.
So just displaying something like "The Killer" would be alright.
-
Had something similar happen to me, but with Feng Min on Dead Dawg, she was a tiny bit faster at all times, her Boil Over always went to a direction of some drop down and was strangely more effective, even with that she was trash and died near the end game.
She also had the audacity to snarkly comment in the end game chat that she totally wasn't hacking.
-
I think a vaulting speed increase, something like 6%, alongside the movement speed increase would be kinda cool.
-
@GentlemanFridge said:
I mean, not sure how you'd go about preventing this without just making the survivor invisible.
Maybe they could make the insides of the locker pure black while it's closed, since not much light goes there anyways.
-
I have no clue why every stealth Killer needs to have some kind of proximity sounds to alert Survivors that they're near, it's dumb.
At least it's not as bad as the PTB / release Ghost Face, where he had a 16 / 8 metres of proximity sounds, kinda like Sadako has currently, which was laughably bad.

The good ol' days when wake up crashed the game when opening exit gates or gave you 25% action speeds to everything at all times.

that is stronger then base ghostface lol. what the point of playing clown that get 2 seconds of hindered when ghostface get permanent pink bottles that last 60 seconds.
He has an add-on that grants haste for 10%, but it only lasts 5 seconds. I would gladly take 60 seconds of this add-on.
I mean, he can either instadown you, or you move 10% slower but can take two hits.

I don’t think add-ons which balance themselves with bloodpoint bonuses are good for the game. I like the idea of add-ons that have downsides that are made up for with benefits that impact the match itself, like Huntress’ Iri Head which limits her to only one hatchet at a time but with the benefit they are instant down. But I don’t the game should have add-ons like Padded Jaws where Trapper’s traps do no damage but he gets some bloodpoints because the bloodpoints mean nothing during the match itself. I’d rather see that bloodpoint bonus replaced with a benefit for Trapper in the match, like maybe those traps reset themselves or he has a lot more of them available or even something like he can get traps out of lockers and the oldest trap is replaced, etc.
I personally enjoy the idea of add-ons making Killers worse for some BPs if they're done in a fun or interesting way (Myers' Mirrors, Plague's Prayer Tablet, Hag's Hand, etc.), but I get why people don't like them, sometimes they just clutter the bloodweb.
-
Huh, looks like they fixed it this new update lmao, the only thing that clips are the flaps themselves, but otherwise seems like the issues listed in the post were fixed.
-
I mean, by the looks of the add-ons, 4 of them are mostly similar, just being angled a bit differently with different top texts, the most unique one is the Fuming Mix Tape, which has the particles coming from the top of it.
But I would go the simple way and say Frank's Mix Tape is my favorite look-wise.

A lot of people like to stack crouch speed add-ons along with play with your food to create small face. Probably the meme-y-er-est build in the game.
That isn't the crouch speed add-on tho, it's the ######### "loose 8 metres of your Terror Radius when crouching" add-on.
