This perk is just straight up unhealthy for the game. I think that it really needs to see some changes, because promotes extremely unhealthy playstyles.

Agree, slugging shouldn't be encouraged, especially when the Perk just punishes Solo-Q and doesn't really have that much of an effect against SWF.

    Hi,

These perks are fine as is and are some of my favourite perks in DBD, Vigil helps against debuff builds and is very useful, if you are going to change it at least let it keep the original effect, same with scene partner.

Please do not ruin what unique utility these perks bring!!!

What they could do to Vigil is the Open-Handed treatment, a bit stronger numbers, but no longer stacks with other instances of itself.

They will do a horrible change and call it a buff like they did with pharmacy

    Or Calm Spirit :,)

  • Yeah, I like this change, it would be way less annoying for Survivors, and m2 Killers would be able to use it!

Also it would be funny if someone with Plot-Twist used it and their item would drop hehe.

  • Yeah I agree, a simple rework that comes to mind might be:

    Rat Poison

    • Increases Scamper speed by 20%.

Scamper doesn't really have that many add-ons, so I think having something like this would be really neat!

  • Alrighty, so I have tested it myself and Breakdown does infact get overwritten by Wicked… damn…

In Pig's particular case though, she needs to slow herself down pretty significantly to get the stealth half, when the others either don't or they get FASTER, in Wraith's case. Giving her four meters more to get close sorta compensates the fact her stealth power makes her less mobile.

Yea, it also takes the Terror Radius a while to fade away, so getting closer to Survivors without slowing you down so much would be great!

  • I don't really get how could Solidarity be better at 50% conversion rate, at 70% conversion rate you get healed more, which is the point, to waste less time healing alltogether with a teammate.

  • @CrypticGirl said:

I like this idea. Remove the gens and hooks from the event modes, set a ten-minute time limit, and then everyone can just play with the void stuff. Collect orbs and smash pumpkins and interact with that void well, collect your void crystals or captured haunts. After the time is up, it just goes to the tally screen with your points. Everyone wins. :D

I feel without hooks people would just slug you to death :(

  • For english speakers that are too lazy to translate themselves, Akkey is asking to reduce the amount of vfx Boons produce, like the blue vignette and to reduce the loudness of their sfx, which I totally agree with!

  • Hmm, it still wouldn't be a good Perk to be honest, but at least it would be way healthier!

  • This would not make it better, it would still have the same problem as old Distortion had, that being immersed Survivors just hiding all the time not doing anything to progress the game, but with only one Token even that wouldn't really work for them, since the Killer would eat through that one Token too easily, I think there is a simple solution tho!

Instead of being in the Killer's Terror Radius, or in a chase, you gain Tokens by working on Generators!

    Distortion

Distortion starts with 1 Token, after completing a total of 40% worth of repair progress on generators, regain 1 Token, up to 2.

When your Aura would be read, Distortion activates and consumes a Token. For the next 10/11/12 seconds, your Aura and Scratch Marks will not be shown to The Killer.

I think this would be the perfect version of Distortion, Survivors are happy, because Distortion users are doing something to progress the game, Killers are happy (probably), because Survivors are no longer hiding all game in their Terror Radius, and Distortion users are happy, because they can regain Tokens without dying.

i wouldn't say that. i was running blood pact+we'll make it+power of two. turns out healing survivors on hook is easy activation of both perks. it can also punish slugging in some cases since healing survivors off the floor can trigger the perk.

the perk is really good for pre-running. with 12% haste, you can pre-run so well with the perk if your teammate knows how to pre-run as well. the killer takes forever to enter the chase. it's kinda funny.

Yea, in those cases it can be pretty funny haha

  • @Langweilig said:

Your writing is incomplete. You need to add the loud noise notification, this explosion thing that killers hear and see.

They are called a Loud Noise Notification because you make a Loud Noise when doing rushed actions, if said rushed actions are silent then the Loud Noise Notification doesn't trigger, because well, the action you made isn't loud.

So I think it doesn't really need to be listed, since it explains itself, also any other Perk that makes rushed actions quiet in some way does not list it aswell! :)

  • @Aceislife said:

1 or 2 updates ago this started happening. My ping is the same as before. But killers seem to consistently hit hits that wouldn't have hit before. They're about a meter away, and the hit connects. Applies to regular hits, and hits with killer powers also (Oni for example).

*I'll scratch that "almost" part. It happens every single game, with every single hit. Something is broken, don't know what it is. Also just realized this is a known issue, so my bad.

Hey, you can sorta fix this by setting your graphic settings to ULTRA, I was playing on low and the desync was awful, but for some unholy reason, setting your graphics to ultra actually helped!

  • This also just happened to me after ending the match, looks like in basically any loading screen, you have a chance for your game to just freeze.

  • @Mooks said:

they have stated in a Q&A earlier this year that they want to test new items in these temporary modes so it depends on the feedback now!

I really like the smoke bomb, but to be honest anything would be really cool to have as a permament item haha

  • @Senile_Grandpa said:

Same here. I'm done with this game lol

Damn, turns out I might just be stupid because I probably just went into the normal dbd queue haha, having two queues is so confusing.

Apologies to the devs for once!

  • @jasonq500 said:

I honestly agree, this should be an actual feature

The past few games as Chucky I actually have more fun scampering with him

    https://youtu.be/vYlqPPi9JzA?si=QH1NFIS3iL8mNinO

Yeah, with some fine tuning like fixing his cooldowns at what not it could actually be a decent mechanic!

  • A COMPLETE rework, not some number changes, I want a Freddy level rework (that isn't as bad as Freddy's was).

Make her drones an actual chase power that has some skill expression, like I don't know you control the drones in 3rd person and mark Survivors or whatever, make her a remote Ghost Face for what I care, just something that isn't just place a drone at loop or at gen and wait for the results.

One of the perks of playing Freddy? Does he have others?

    He has Predator by default

  • @MechWarrior3 said:

I wish playing as Freddy you could slightly and softly hear his lullaby.

Only survivors hear it which I get but I wanna hear it too when I play as him and I don’t run into Freddy’s enough to do so lol

I bet you wouldn't be saying this if you could actually hear it all the time as the Killer haha

It's not as varied as Huntress' lullaby so it would just repeat its 5 second loop over and over until you go crazy.

  • @Seraphor said:

    It's technically not incorrect.

In tier 1 Evil Within, he officially has a 6m terror radius. But this is superceded by the fact that tier 1 also gives you undetectable now.

16 meters is only in tier 2.

While 16 meters would be the most useful info for most cases,it's kinda arbitrary which tiers TR you list on the characte into. Why not tier 3s?

I think it would make the most sense to list stats from a tier that you spend the most time in, which is in 99% of matches tier 2, having stat of tier 1 which is technically obsolete due to the undetectable status effect and tier 2 movement speed just confuses new players.

  • I think giving her Aura reading base-kit wouldn't be that good tbh, but making Amanda's Letter better would be great!

What I think Pig really needs is reduced Terror Radius to 24 metres :)

  • @Crowman said:

The past few hotfixes have been dropped on Wednesdays.

We also don't know if there is a hotfix this week.

Well I sure do hope one comes this week, playing with a desync on the halloween event would be a terrible start haha

  • they have not done before (early preview)

    Object of Obsession :,)

  • I don't think that's needed, Poised is already pretty decent thanks to how it works now, the only two things I would do is to remove Blood Pools and Grunts of Pain when it activates along the hidden Scratch Marks, and also maybe add a little indicator for generators that you haven't touched, because I quite frequently forget which ones I already triggered that aura on haha.

  • Shadowborn: I don't think that's a good idea, making the game darker already sucks when playing against the Dredge, it also depends where you're playing at, so people in the dark would see way more than people playing on a TV in their living room or what not.

Bloodhound: I think that's a pretty decent change, not really the biggest fan of Bloodlust myself, but it fits the perk perfectly!

Territorial Imperative: I think this still wouldn't make people use this perk, limiting a perk to be basement only isn't really worth for Killers, unless they plan to camp the basement, which I think shouldn't be encouraged.

Beast of Prey: I think this would kinda suck for the Survivor that is the Obsession a little bit too much, not mentioning that on anybody else it would still be quite useless.

Unrelenting: I like the idea of it also applying on obstructed hits, not sure why it doesn't do that already… Not sure about the 50%, making the Killer miss is already hard enough, and if it was at 50% I'm also not sure if missing attacks wouldn't be faster than just walking haha.

  • @sizzlingmario4 said:

Imo the perk needs a more favorable conversion rate, ie. instead of 1.5% = 1% it could be 1.2% = 1%. This way the perk is more efficient to use and would be worth it more often.

I also agree with reducing the activation time to 3 seconds, 8 seconds is too much.

Yea, something like 1.25% would be nice!

  • @Bookern said:

Shift Forms is way too quick needs more slowdown when shifting and the attack cooldown after shifting needs to be longer.

Bat form currently his ms is to fast can easily catch up from a hit and teleporting is very fast leaving no chance for the survivor to react especially when paired with medusas hair.

Vampire Form only thing wrong is his inconsistent Hellfire pillars able to go through some tall walls and at times not on half walls.

Wolf form i have no problems with i wish his scent orbs did something more haste goes away to fast.

Yea I think they maybe overbuffed the cooldown, before at 5 seconds it was too slow, so an accidental switching could cost you a chase, now at 2.5 seconds it's a non issue, I think if it was at 3.5 seconds it would be pretty much perfect.

I think the bat form could remain as fast as it is now, since it's meant to be a traversal tool, but it could be made to not see Scratch Marks, so in chase it would be a bit harder to track Survivors.

Yeah, orbs are a bit underwhelming for the wolf form.

And at last, they could make his Hellfire a bit more consistent haha.

  • @ZoeyLikesDBD said:

I think Dracula's Bat Form is definitely on the stronger side, but I don't see it necessarily as overpowered. Whenever I see a Dracula Player swap to Bat Form I try my best to utilize more unique pathing since they cannot see scratchmarks!

They can see Scratchmarks tho, Dracula in bat form only cannot see the Survivors themselves (like The Spirit).

  • @ChaosWam said:

I'd argue this is a nurse problem, not Predator.

Yea, lets stop nerfing Perks only because of her existence, still pissed about the Awakened Awareness nerf only due to Starstruck Nurses.

  • Yea, it's strange that it's the only unhook perk that doesn't activate on Self-Unhooks.

  • @ReverseVelocity said:

Seems like an oversight, probably should be changed.

Hmm, I'm gonna try and report it as a bug, it might actually be one!

  • @LadyOwO said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/429245/why-doesnt-blood-rush-active-from-self-unhooks

I mean you could be thankful it got a buff at all but whatever I guess 🤷

Damn, should I be thankful to the devs for making a trash perk less trash after several years? It's decent now, but I don't understand why it doesn't work on self-unhooks.

  • @Emeal said:

What if we flipped it around?
You activate a locker and then when you hit skill checks when durin gen that locker pings the Killer?

That could also be funny if it worked like remote Deception, where it would create a Loud Noise notification and open the locker, maybe also create some scratchmarks haha.

  • @zarr said:

Exultation is a pretty terrible perk. Did you know that the 25% recharge effect only applies if you actually also tier up the rarity of your item on the stun? Meaning it is useless if your item has reached its highest rarity, and useless altogether to bring with such items.

Exultation is a useless perk if you already have items of a higher rarity, because instead of bringing a lower-rarity item and spending a perk slot and gambling on getting a pallet stun to upgrade it at some point (pallet stuns are fairly rare in general and downright impossible or at least suicidal against a fair few killers), you could just bring the item you actually want to use to begin with. Not even the recharge aspect is worth it, as very few items even benefit much from a mere 25%: flashlights rarely run out of charges to begin with if you aren't being awfully wasteful with them; 25% on med-kits and toolboxes do next to nothing; maps also should not regularly run out of charges, and 25% is also not a lot of charges for them to have; the only key where running out of charges is relevant is the wallhack key, but for that 25% of charges are also not enough. You are infinitely better off bringing Built To Last in that slot instead if you are actually expecting to run out of charges on whatever item it is you want to use beyond its base charges. And not even BTL is a very popular perk.

They should either make it so that the recharge is 100%, then however still only applying if you actually tier up the item on the stun. Or make it 50% on any stun, regardless of whether the rarity is upgraded or not.

And yes, the cooldown is just laughable on top of all of this. It's just another of countless instances where perks have cooldowns, restrictions, conditions and stipulations despite the fact that they wouldn't even be great perks (usually far from) without all of those. The fact that they originally wanted for the upgraded item rarity to not even be kept after the trial… I never have fully figured out why BHVR loves to design crap for some 90% of its perk releases, though I have various speculations.

Wait you mean that it doesn't recharge the top tier items?

If that's the case that's quite dumb, why would they tie it to the item changing rarity instead of just adding the recharge on stun????

That actually makes the perk much worse than I thought haha.

Its not a perk to locate the Killer, its a perk to find generators.

Its an alternative to DejaVu, Visionary, Detective's Hunch, Clairvoyance, Better Together, Still Sight.
All of them good for new players and each unique and good, just because you don't dig it does not mean its bad.

I particularly enjoy Rookie Spirit, because it is extremely effective against loss of progress.

Glad you enjoy it, I think it could be better tho, that's why I haven't reworked the perk completely, just added onto its current effect so more people (like me) would find it more appealing and interesting.

  • @PetTheDoggo said:

What about keeping the condition, but you stop generator from regressing instantly when you start repairing it when Rookie Spirit is active?

Oh I also thought about this idea haha, but I thought it would be more fun with the Skill Check, just to spice the Perk up a bit.

for knocking someone down without alerting flashlight savers of their location. Not slugging the whole team for 1 hook

I think if there is a guy looking for a flashlight save following you and the killer until you go down is already aware of your location 99% of the time, so not revealing your aura wouldn't really do much in that case.

  • @rha said:

I hate this perk and slug play style too, but was pointed out to me just recently that Knock Out only works on basic attacks, therefore if you notice the killer is playing Knock Out for a boring 1-hook everyone slug, you can counter it by hopping into a locker before going down, so you're wasting a bit of the killer's time (he has to grab you out and drop you) and then other survivors can still see your aura in dying state.

So it's probably yet another issue with MMR not matching survivors with the same level of game knowledge, otherwise the Knock Out gap between solo queue and SWF could be smaller …

True, but you have to think about that realistically there isn't a locker in every corner of the map, so finding one in the heat of a chase on some maps could prove to be quite a challenge haha.

  • @Devil_hit11 said:

i think removing cooldown would be a start.

Hmm, I think it shouldn't really be completely removed, what I think they should do is reduce it to 20 seconds and increase the window of time for another silent vault to like 8 or 10 seconds from 6 seconds.

  • @Langweilig said:

Sounds really good. The last time I suggested something similar people said gens would be blocked infinitely even tho you can only pick somebody up for a limited time.

Yea you cannot really block a gen for more than ~16 seconds + the 12 seconds on top, if you drop a Survivor you're just wasting your time, since that adds to their wiggle progress meaning less gen block time.

Well, unless you drop them, wait 12 seconds, pick them up again and drop them, rince and repeat, which would either result in the survivor escaping or in the Killer just loosing their time if not all gens are blocked haha.

It makes me sad that I'll never experience original Billy on the old maps. What I wouldn't give for that... Or even just playing new Billy on the old Coldwinds and Haddonfield again.

BHVR, we need a nostalgia mode. Pretty please with extra sugar and sprinkles on top.

If you wanna invest some time you could download some old dbd builds and try it out, but not sure how hard it is to set everything up haha
