  • A nerf I think would be good is that her hit stuns stack on her fatigue, so if she teleports. swings, then misses, she has to wait out fatigue and the missed hit penalty. Same for her successful attack penalty.

He doesn't have 3 powers if I remember from the livestream today. Isn't the dream pallets gonna be a add on, or is that the Snare?

One or the other, we don't know which will be base kit and which will be addon

And you sound like a nurse main fed up with all the dcs he is getting and not wondering about the core problem because of selfishness.By your logic your comment is as pointless and meaningless as mine.

I am a Spirit main that occasionally plays Billy. I know when I hit or miss a survivor it is because of skill difference or pure momentary decision with mindgames. Not insta hits with teleporting bs. Pls quit. Have a nice day.

Have a nice day indeed, knowing that nuse has the highest skill ceiling of any killer, and you're probably just salty because you can't aim a teleport.

Maybe 60 seconds is a LOT of time, since they get up very easy, maybe 45 seconds?

No. A survivor falls asleep in 60 seconds. That's not much. For comparison, it takes a single survivor 80 seconds to repair a generator without any perks or items. Assuming you try and make it so you never fall asleep, it's very possible that you could be working on a gen for 30 seconds, then spend the next 30 seconds looking for a way to wake up so you don't get aura read. That's incredible gen pressure, and it's a passive effect too. It shouldn't be in the game.

  • It still allows him to see you in lockers. He doesn't read your aura, he gets a notification instead.

@Blueberry Imagine pulling off a Ghost stalk on a full health survivor and them not going down due to MoM

Glad they're killing that possibility i'd probably quit on the spot lol

I know right? MoM was ######### OP. Now that it's become a perk that requires you to work for it and risk yourself, as well as making you protect your friends, people are saying it's dead.

Delete nurse, problem solved. She defies every mechanic that makes dbd, dbd. Not fun to play as, not fun to play against.

I disagree. I don't like playing nurse normally, but I know how satisfying it is to land a perfect hit, or even get "From the Void she Kills"

I feel bad for survivors. Always getting the short end of the stick.

    Sigh

Killer's always endup on the short side of the stick, believe me. I've played both sides, and I can say that unless you're playing nurse or are a mindgame genius, survivor always has the advantage.

  • This is probably because of the sleep cycle. I'd find it OP even as a killer if 60 seconds after a survivor wakes themselves up I can see their aura again.

  • Currently, nothing. In future, the devs want to give rewards for it.

no..they can't. That's the problem. They built the meta of this game around a bunch of things THEY WISH they could control. Bet this questiooon was asked by some dumb exec there at least once

"can we somehow stop them from adjusting the brightness of their monitors!!!?>??"

That falls into what they can't control, plus that's not restricted to PC, and is a moot point.

  • Depends on when the DC happens. If it's early in the game I'll go easy, later in the game I might not.

  • Do remember, this is still PTB, and the bug is a huge bug, it's not meant to disappear immediately, he's meant to have a chance to recover it by moving out of sight and peeking a new angle.

  • @Mochan said:

Here's another simpler option: if the hatch has been closed by the killer, the survivor can open the hatch, but it is like repairing a generator, he must tug and pull at it for say 15 seconds, same as opening a gate, before it bursts back open. And Killer can kick it shut like breaking a gen to reduce the progress.

This way it becomes similar to the tertiary last gen patrol standoff of the normal endgame where there are three exit points, and provides more options for actual skilled play and counterplay between survivor and killer in the final stage.

As a killer main, I support this as long as killer can see the hatch's aura after stomping it, like a generator. After all, at that point it's a point of defence and should be treated as such.

  • You get to rest until you wake up in your next trial.

  • It's entity magic. The entity's realm has no sense of time except within a trial, the 1st dimension of the entities realm. In the 2nd dimension (the campfire) time has no meaning but how long until a survivor falls asleep and starts their next trial. The 3rd realm, the spirit world, has no concept of time or space either, shown by the nurses blink, the ability to pierce the spirit world to both warp time and location to teleport short distances. This is also where the trial truly takes place, and where the entity dwells. Because of the 3rd dimension of the entities world having no concept of time and space, infinite trials can be held in the same point of time.

flip phones could hold several hundred photos because the picture size and quality weren't as memory intensive as they are today. today we're taking 4k photos. back then in the late 90's early 2000's (i know this because i was alive then) flip phones were taking less than a hundredth of a megapixel - for reference a 12 megapixel photo is about 36 MB (or 36 megabytes)

you could still hold several hundred photos on a 1GB internal memory card.

Also - if you've never seen scream - SPOILER WARNING -

but ghostface is actually 2 people. they could be texting each other. They could also just be clearing out older photos and reminiscing.

I think I noticed this before in game. I remember exiting to menu and having ghostface's breathing sound odd, and a bit lighter, in the menu until after my next game.

And before someone says this is a placebo effect, I noticed this before even seeing anything about it. I just took note and continued with my killing.

  • Closest I get is killing it with task manager but steam still reports it's running.

  • I'd choose ghostface if he was included. While his power is currently broken, from the few times I've got it off, it's a good ability, using it to peek a survivor, stalk them a bit, then just ram the knife into them out of nowhere.

We sure this isn't some stupid INTENDED anti camping mechanic?

Been playing Myers a bit more lately and I think on 3 total times I have been in Tier 3 catching someone heading to the hook. Not camping just noticing them from a distance heading into that range. All times not anything happens to the person I hit who should be insta downed.

I've noticed similar weird things like this happen as Leatherface. If I return to the hook and I catch someone going for a terrible save I should get the credit for it. Why are you trying to unhook right in front of Leather? Well because the game seems to allow it for one. I will down the rescuer with the saw and then I notice the saw tag the person being unhooked which adds BT but thing is the saw will connect a 2nd time. Shouldn't that down them then?

Yeah, I'm pretty sure it's not intended. It's inconsistent, and we already have a mechanic which is survivor safely knocking gens while killer stands still at hook.

  • @Shad03 said:

@Victory Nah, I just want a simple jumpscare kinda perk. Besides, as soon as you stand still for the time it takes to get that, people will start running elsewhere.

Perhaps the 3 second insidious cooldown grants a double damage hit? Long enough to gain speed and lunge.

  • @DBD_Pinhead said:

If you have a Mori, kill the first one you can. Slugging is iffy because SWF run comms but that's one less person on gens. I used to Insidious camp out of view so I could stalk the rest to EW3 and down the rescuer and pressure the rest.

This is my tactic with legion. Wait for the save with insidious, then smack the rescuers with Feral Frenzy. If you're gonna go for the save, you're not healing or doing gens for a while. Bonus if the hooked person wasn't running kindred and everyone flocks to the save.

  • Thats what they said when they made survivors able to remove Ghostface's ability just by looking at him /s

  • Defined resolution sizes: Clarity at distance, beefier PCs get an advantage

Resolution Scaling options: Possibly affect camouflage of players, Worse computers get an advantage

Ability to turn on/off V-sync: Control smoothness

    Aliasing Options: Clarity at distance

Shadow texture options: Possibly affect camouflage of players, Worse computers get an advantage

LOD options: Already broken as it is

Effects quality options: Spotting sparks on regressing generators, beefier PCs get an advantage

Foilage quality options: Ever heard of PUBG? This option can break a games balance.

PostProcessing quality options: Less distortion from the clowns ability, weaker PC gets the advantage

Framerate limit options: Smoother control, beefier PCs get the advantage.

  • I still prefer he'd just lose stalk instead of his entire ability, meaning the killer makes the choice to back off and try a new angle (stalk scary) or rush the survivor (rush scary).

That's like saying we all need to use the same computer, the same mice, the same keyboard, and the same internet, or else someone will have a competitive advantage.

Computers are all built differently. There's so many parts, and most of them interchangeable, that no two computer is built the same. Options are needed and this game 3 years later still lacks a proper option choices. I've seen asset flips have better options menu than DBD does. At least the resolution option in those isn't a god damn slider for ######### sakes.

No its not. It's like saying "Devs can't control what we're playing on, but they can control the settings of the game to make it as fair as possible."

  • I misread your post, sorry. I thought you meant it was enough to break LoS, not end chase.

  • Maybe not reduce it to 0, since turning a corner, even with ghostface behind you, would instantly break LoS, but I get what you mean.

  • @FireHazard

"Nobody in the PTB has really effectively used his exposed effect yet without being seen"

I don't know man, I've seen some sweet jumps, one being my own (Stalked a gen near completion from a jungle gym, then rushed as I stalked, downing a survivor and hitting the other),but it definitely needsa buff.

  • I still want Chad for survivor; someone came up with perks for him and they looked really good, like, could be part of meta builds but not a dick like MoM good.

  • @ReneAensland said:

There is nothing to stop a tunneler except knowing your surroundings. The killer will try to get you again and again. I'm going to get hate for this but Mettle of Man and Decisive Strike will help in this scenario.

They're stuck behind a pay wall though. I'm not asking for something that's not stuck behind a pay wall, but any help would be awesome.

If you're tired of getting tunneled try, Sprint Burst, Decisive Strike, Mettle of Man and Self Care with an InstaHeal.

As a killer main, I'm fine with DS, it's situational and punishing for that situation (I'm still annoyed whenever it hits though, and it just gives me more reason to trigger that dying light in slot 3), but Mettle of Man is a no. If you have that, I will happily face camp you for a crutch perk that's OP. It's meta, I get it, but I'm meant to have fun too, and my fun is seeing you punished for trying to ruin the game for me.

  • Remove the cooldown, and add all survivor interaction loud noises (Vault, Locker, Generator, Sabotage, etc) but environmental stuff (Spies from the Shadows) doesn't trigger the aura read.

  • I'm not sure what you're saying, but I think it's like my idea, where Ghostface would be a proper stalker. Instead of him losing his ability, the stalk for the survivor looking at him would rapidly dwindle while in stalk, so if you're spotted you can chose to pull back and try a new angle, or cancel the stalk ability (stopping the evil from being lost, but giving back your terror radius) and rush at the survivor.

  • I would survive, mainly cause I'd be the most immersed survivor you'll ever see, checking chests and hunting the lock. If it was IRL, points mean nothing to me, and I'd want the lowest rank possible. Killer comes anywhere near me and I'm gone.

  • In all fairness, this can be used to gain an edge (if it works how I think it does, I run ultra no problem).

  • Wanna throw this in, survivors can use ultra rare items and keep their items and some addons in a game, as long as they don't use it fully and escape they get a free, refilled item.

Killers, however, have to use an offering to keep their addons, can't get addons ingame, and will need to pay BP in a randomly generated shop, meaning they're more expensive to upkeep builds with, and don't have a chance for a free item.

Killers also have the disadvantage on 80% of the loops, I can't wait for the loops to be shortened. Only problem is with more pallets, it's just gonna create a system where one person can always drop a pallet and be safe, since the killer either stalls themself breaking the pallet, getting stunned by it, or survivor waiting at the pallet. If the killer gets stalled, they just move to the next one and are immediately safe again (or simply stall the killer at the current one) buying a lot more time for other survivors.

  • The thing about these statistics as that when a killer is doing their job, it's hard until they get a kill and snowball the game. A survivor however has advantages of unbeatable crutch perks, a 3rd person camera, and items to assist in speeding up the game, and in some cases like Claudette just ######### disappear when they get further then 8 meters sometimes. I know, I've abused how broken it is to spot her sometimes.

Didn't Noob3 get banned once and he still plays on the same platform?

Also, are we even supposed to be discussing this...

He had a temp ban iirc

  • So you're saying that 3 survivors get away because I didn't camp stairs? You know, the thing survivors get toxic about?

  • Addendum

    5. Allow his ability (while standing or crouched, up to the devs if he has to be crouched or not) to make him invisible to perks.

Lmao there was a thread right under yours that says the same thing but for Ghostface so I figured you were asking the same without reading the title.

As far as Freddy's rework, there are new levels of sleep now. The first is called Micro Sleep and actually turns Freddy invisible when he gets closer to you if I recall correctly. Later on he can do stuff like place fake pallets that awake survivors don't see, and even teleport to generators after a long channeling sequence where the Survivor sees blood gushing from the gen until Freddy teleports.

It actually doesn't look too bad, they just need to execute it right.

You dont remember right, Freddy phases in closer to the survivor, meaning he cant be seen at a distance in microsleep, though is fully visible in full sleep.

    Some things you missed:

In microsleep, freddy have a terror radius, where in full sleep only his lullaby is present, which has no distance on it, it'll play the same whether you're at the edge or he's breathing down your neck.

Freddy's fake pallets aren't like the Doc's. Doctor's will disappear when ran through, but Freddy's has to be thrown down. When they do, they'll explode instantly into blood, not blocking the killer (unsure if they can still stun.)

Freddy can also place down traps. If you've seen Dead Realm, think the Banshees. If you haven't, it's a trap that when you run through it, it'll slow you down.

Survivors can wake up other survivors, or they can look for clocks around the level to wake themselves up. Failing a skill check no longer wakes survivors up. Like, at all.

He loses his ability to put survivors to sleep, and sleep no longer gives debuffs.

I think you missed the part where they said that Adrenaline doesn't need a nerf because NOED exists. Adrenaline's drawbacks are not reaching end game (not getting the objective done). You playing with any normal games, you'll likely not reach it. Solo play can be especially hard. Adrenaline and NOED are a 1 to 1 comparison in that way, though. NOED is a reward for doing poorly essentially and Adrenaline is a reward for doing well. The only time you don't get NOED going off is if you're winning and if the survivors are doing well enough to worry about totems, which it honestly isn't ideal for survivors to waste time breaking them, even.

Adrenaline isn't useful if the killer isn't on you, if you're fully healed, if you do bad and don't make it to end game. NOED's only useless if they waste time getting totems (giving you more time to down everyone and kill everyone), you do well. Yes, people having Adrenaline may encourage people to push gens while hurt (putting them in a vulnerable spot if you happen to come by), but that isn't even what you're complaining over.

I still have no idea how you managed to lose with three people in the basement during end game. Hitting the people unhooking is an option and staying in the area is expected, so sounds like a massive misplay on your part tbh.

I think you missed the part where NOED can be disabled. IT's not 1:1, NOED has a weakness, Adrenaline does not. Your whole point is moot and based off assuming they are 1:1 which is not the case. And I didn't misplay, I can't stand in 4 places at once, and last guy was crowded by them so I couldn't hit him.

  • Hooks when sabo'ed take 3 mins without hangmans

Hooks when destroyed by the entity (a sacrifice) dont respawn at all without hangmans.

  • Well i mean he's ######### OP when basement camping but yeah he needs to have his abilities fixed.

  • @SpideyGamer02 said:

I feel the need to say, Adrenaline doesn't need a nerf as killer can instantly down with NOED and makes it unfair for survivors even tho NOED already is unfair lol. plus if you aren't happy with it, play as a killer that one-shots.

Exactly. NOED can be disabled, and even just not activate in some situations. Adrenaline can't be disabled, at all. Adrenaline has no drawback that can disable it, wheras the killers only counter perk can be disabled and stopped completely. I'm not saying "Don't make it heal" or anything like that, only that it can be kept on hold, but not indefinitely. like in T3 if the perk is unable to activate it will try to activate within 30 seconds (so if unhooked in 30 seconds after triggering it will work) but pass that the perk wont activate.

I still dont get the hate for MoM. I had a double DS MoM game and still got 3k (hatch escape). If they're all trolling you and trying to get hit, they're not doing gens.

Power through it, learn how to manage survivors and pressure over simply chasing and hitting the same person repeatedly.

problem with this is that EGC triggers and everyone has their MoM ready to go.

  • I would say yes, if it wouldn't destroy every slugging build. If this is to be a thing, you'd have to destroy survivor builds with it somehow as well.

  • All I'll care about is if my insidious legion build gets in.

  • They're survivors, the survivors are a toxic bunch who don't care for anyone else outside of their SWF pack.
